it's Rosa in Sanchez from the He Said Jo podcast
And just like Handa, I'm here to speak the truth,
like the one that electric cars take a long time
to charge Esnuez Verdad and the all electric Hondai Ionic
lineup has ultra fast charging, taking cars listen from ten

(01:25):
to eighty percent in as little as eighteen minutes. When
it comes to the bunking myths, hand is thinking of
every mile. Handay, it's your journey. Proud partner of Michael
Tura podcast network. Nay come in when to Livesalia said

(01:57):
ransfor I didn't think I could love this song even more,
but what you did with this arrangement, Rodrigo, it could
be a Mexican classic. Yeah, I think you're right, You
really think so. I did say I wanted to modernize

(02:20):
traditional Mexican and Latin American music. Yeah, you've definitely done that.
We've done that. Six months of hard work has paid off.
The azambre No still feeling nauseous. I can't seem to
kick the stomach flu. It's just the nerves about the
album release tomorrow. Are you expecting someone? No, I'll go

(02:47):
see who it is. Mom, Dad, Hi, Hi, come in,
good morning. My parents are here. Hey, hey, I thought
you were arriving back from your honeymoon tomorrow. We're quite

(03:10):
a short to bring you some good news behind you
want to tell her? Should I? You can tell her?
Wait if it's good news, I want Rodrigo to hear
it too. Wow, look at you, two love birds. Took

(03:33):
us thirty years, but we finally got here. I know
we wanted to tell you that your album will be
premiering at number one on Billboards Global two hundredth shart
What that's amazing? You serious? Of course? Fail see that
is to both of you. You've earned it. Thank you?

(03:58):
Is it too early for Champagne? Not today? Okay? Alan,
nice to have you back. Thank you for fitting me in.
Our listeners are always eager to hear what you have
to say in the world of music. I know you

(04:18):
wanted to come in and talk about Idelita pass this
new album. I had to do it after my review
of Extra for you. Oh I remember that review? Are
you taking it back? No? No, but I do think
that with this new album, Adlita is back and more
confident than ever. She completely reinvented herself while expanding the

(04:41):
scope of Latin music. The album deserves all the praise
it's getting. I couldn't agree with you more. I've been
listening to it every day since it came out. I
should also say that Rodrigo Rey is the producer on
the album, deserves a lot of the credit too. Mark
my wordants this album will win both of them their

(05:03):
first Grammy. Ah m, Alita, very ah, Mom, pure tell
her I'll be down in a minute. Oh oh, get
it together, Aldka M Hey Mom, Noah, how are you feeling? Mmmm?

(05:39):
Not right? Oh? I should have asked Lusma for one
of her remedies. I'll be fine for the Zoom call,
We'll keep it short. Robin Burton at Birdhouse Publishing JAS
wants to check in with us. Okay, you guys are
all set, camera is on, sound is on, and here's
some herbal teas. Baby, hopefully it'll settle your stomach. Good out,

(06:04):
says Memore. Hello, Hello, hey, Robin, thank you so much
for doing this over Zoom. Oh, no problem at all, Adelita,
you were smart not to travel across country if you're
not feeling well. M Thanks for understanding, Robin, of course.

(06:25):
But congratulations on the new album. I hear the album
and the new single are number one around the world.
Can you believe it, Honey. I'm so happy for you
and Rodrigo. You know what I'm most proud of is
that the audience doesn't care that half of the songs
are either bilingual or in Spanish. I think it's been fantastic.

(06:49):
This is an album that represents all of me, a
girl born in Mexico but who has lived in this
country half her life, and an artist who believed that
if BTS can release songs all over the world in
Korean and in English, she could do the same with
her music. I think you've just proven that. I guess

(07:16):
what I'm saying, Robin is that I want that spirit
to come through in the book series. Honey, we're on
the same page. I'm sorry I need to step away,
but I'll let you talk to my mother. Of course,
you feel better, Carmen, you know what I think? That's it.

(07:41):
I'm thinking the same thing too. You are right, Carmen, Adalita,
you're pregnant. What wonderful news. Doctor? Are you sure? Yes,

(08:05):
you're definitely pregnant. What mom? What am I gonna do?
I'm not ready for a baby yet, oh miha no
one ever is. But the album has just been released.
Then I have a tour to plan and take a
deep breath. Good. I know this is unexpected and it's

(08:34):
a lot to deal with right now, but we will
figure it out. It's still early on in the pregnancy,
so you have some time to think about what you
want to do. Oh, Mom, I don't want to already
good to know yet? Okay, Mom, Yes, of course there

(09:07):
you are. Hey Mom, is the nausea any better? Same,
but strangely getting used to it. M it's been a week.
You need to tell Rodrigo miha, or he'll figure it
out and then be really upset that you kept this
from him. I'm aware, all right, Changing subjects. Did Marcos

(09:31):
get a hold of you yet? Yeah? I know it's
a one night only concert, but I think if you're
up to it, we should say yes. Right, definitely. It's
at pala Our Carnegie Hall and in Mexico City. There's
no way I'm saying no, even if I have to
carry an airsick bag from the plane onto the stage

(09:53):
with me. Dad mentioned that as had this said, I
could have an opening act if I wanted to, and
I was thinking I should ask Natalia. Oh, yes, she'd
be thrilled. We've been talking about doing a duet together anyway, right, yeah, brother,

(10:15):
we going. I have an idea for it already. If
she likes it, we could end the show with it.
That would be amazing. Okay, let me go call her
and mom. I promised to tell Rodrigo after the concert.

(18:15):
He didn't get the voe make it go. The one

(18:49):
night only concert was a huge success. This was the
most excited I had ever been about my career. Mm hmmm,
I need more water please, Yeah, I'll get you some
right away. Just hang in there, We're almost done. Who

(19:11):
knew recording an audio book would be so exhausting, That's
what everybody says. Here you go, thank you, m all right,
let's finish this and recording. This was the most excited

(19:38):
I'd ever been about my career. Album sales in Mexico
went through the roof for both Me and Not That Yet,
And after the film concert aired internationally, the same thing
happened all over the world. That was a good thing
because it would be the first and only concert I

(19:58):
would do for that album. You see, as scared as
I was to be a mom, I kept thinking about
my mom. How much younger she was. How scared she
must have felt too, and yet she chose to keep me.

(20:24):
In the end, keeping my baby was the choice I
made too. But I'll tell you a funny story. When
I told Rodrigo I was pregnant, he said that he
had suspected it for weeks. I asked him why he
hadn't said anything. He said, because having a baby is

(20:45):
not something any man, even a husband, should ever pressure
a woman into. I wish all women had someone like him.
After I made my decision, I called the book publisher
and told her I wanted to wait on the children's
book series and write a memoir first. She said, okay.

(21:08):
Rodrigo and I finally took a much needed break and
welcomed our daughter, Dahlia, nine months later. Now that my
story is out there, I hope it inspires someone to
go after their dreams, to stand up for themselves. Maybe
it'll help another mother and daughter heal their wounds. Or

(21:30):
maybe some of you are just here for the drama,
and that's okay. Whatever the reason, I hope the ride
was worth it. How was that perfect? If you're enjoying
