Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey guys, It's Selena Gomez and this is my most
requested Live Ask Anything chat. I want to thank Romeo
and I Heart for the support and for having me
on tonight and supporting me in my music. So my
new single is called Lucy to Love Me, and I'm
gonna be answering some fan questions, which are my favorite,

(00:21):
So let's get started. Jenny from Nashville, Tennessee. I loved
The Dead Don't Die, especially the headshot. Did you have
some favorite horror movies before shooting that? Of course a lot.
I don't even know where i'd beget where I would begin.
I love anything Haunted. The movie just came out called Haunt.

(00:43):
That was amazing and I enjoyed it, and then I
love well. I used to like paranormal stuff, but now
I don't think I can take it. It's a bit freaky,
to be honest, but I'm obsessed with horror. I love
love Leanna Hope that's right for Orlando, Florida. I just
wanted to tell you I'm glad you're feeling better. Also,
if you don't know this already, I think you're a

(01:05):
legitimate role model and not a phony. Thanks. I appreciate that.
I don't know what to say to that. That's very
kind and I am thank you for caring about how
I'm feeling and everything. I hope you're good too. Sarah
from Hartford, Connecticut, Was that right? Okay? Sorry, Sarah, my girl.

(01:32):
When you were on the song with Benny, had you
begun working on the current songs? Oh? I had already? Yeah,
for sure, I was working on I've been working on
my album for four years, so there was a lot
of in between and breaks. But we had a moment
that I just wanted to do fun little Actually it
was intentionally going to do like a few collaborations, and

(01:54):
it turned it and it turned into something bigger, and
it was really cool just to work with all different
types of people. Maria from Astoria Hope, that's right, New York.
What's up? Do you have plans for Thanksgiving? What are
your most thankful? What are you most thankful for this year?
I'm most thankful for my health first and foremost, because

(02:15):
that's very important to me. And let's see, I'm going
to Texas. No oh no, actually not this year. We
have family coming in from Detroit and Texas and we're
gonna celebrate it in La So, I mean, there's a
lot of things. I'm thankful. I'm thankful for all of
this and for you guys, so I'll be thinking of
you for Thanksgiving. Sophy from Daytona Beach, Florida. Was it

(02:38):
different doing the video looking into a phone? Are you
used to always looking into big cameras? It was weird.
I didn't even know where to look. That was the
interesting part because it's all on this huge rig and
then it's all this like equipment and lights, but then
there's this tiny iPhone that's just right in the middle.
It was very awkward. I didn't even think it was
gonna work, but it turned out beautiful and Sophie Mueller

(03:02):
directed it very well. So Elizabeth from San Jose, California.
With your name popping up more and more under producer
or executive producer, is that something we can expect more
of in the future and feature films hopefully? Absolutely. I
love being a part of projects that that I care about,

(03:22):
that I love or that I find interest in, and
you get to be a part of something great with
other people, and that's the best feeling. So hell yeah,
more more. Connie from New Jersey or sorry, Jersey City,
New Jersey. What's the best perk about being an artist? Ooh,

(03:43):
that's perk. I guess being able to turn your life
into music. I think that's really special and it's been
such a gift to be able to do that. And
I'm and that's one of the best ways of healing
for me throughout the years. So yeah, turning into turning

(04:04):
all your thoughts and all your pain and emotion into art,
it is probably the best part. Ashley from Ottawa my
Friends and I love I love it that you put
out two new songs. Was there a special reason for that?
And are the other songs related to each other? Much
love from Canada? Love You Canada and I miss everything

(04:27):
about it? Uh, let's see. Yeah. Basically, it wasn't a
set plan. I had always from the Gecko wanted to
release Lose You to Love Me and then look at
her Now. So there was a little conversation about that.
Then I agreed that we could just do Losey to
Love Me. That didn't work out the way we wanted,

(04:49):
so lastly we ended with doing it both at the
same time, and I thought it was crucial to the storytelling.
And I'm very glad that it happened the way it did.
It needed to because it showed, it showed everything, even
the way we wrote it, from the beginning of the
year to the middle of the year and releasing and healing.
It's so cool. It's just the best feeling, and I

(05:14):
think it made sense to tie a little bow around
a chapter of my life. Jane from Baltimore, what's the
first venue you ever sang at professionally as Selena Gomez? Hmm,
I don't know, because I guess the first thing I
did was a show at the Roxy, but that was

(05:36):
technically with my band, so I'm not quite sure. To
be honest, I don't know. Maybe Staples, which was pretty
epic to do. If you're from la I think that's
probably one of the big moments that I got to
be on. Man, We'll just go with that because I'm

(05:57):
not quite sure. Amanda from Columbus, Ohio? Were you involved
picking the Oh sorry? Were you involved picking the songs
for Thirteen Reasons Why? I got to be a part
of some of it and it was I mean, that's
kind of the best part of Like I love watching
films or TV shows and buying the soundtrack it's just

(06:18):
as good as watching it or being invested, because again,
you can express so many different things with music and
it's awesome. Thanks again to Romeo most requested live and
answering all your questions. It was really fun. Thank you
for bearing with me. My new single is called Losey
to Love Me, and I hope everyone is a great Thanksgiving.
