Hello friends, are you getting ready for bed?
Let’s make sure we’ve brushed our teeth and washed our hands. Oh and don’t forget your comfy things. Now it’s time for the perfect bedtime story.

About Mr. Jim:

Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello friends, and welcome to bedtime Stories with mister Jim. Oh.
I was just getting ready for bed, are you as well?
Oh good, I hope you brushed your teeth and found
all of your comfy things like pillows and blankets and stuffies.

(00:27):
Oh yes, oh good. Well, as long as you have
all those things ready, then it's time for our story.
But first we must close our eyes so that we
can travel to an imaginary world one day Gloria and live.

(00:53):
We're on a train. This is something that they did
all the time because they lived in a land with
no cars or buses or anything else, just trains. It
was so cool. Trains were super important and they brought

(01:14):
everybody where they needed to go. But these trains were
not your ordinary average train. These trains could fly. Yes,
I know, pretty amazing. Glorian lived. They were so lucky
that they could travel on flying trains, and they love

(01:37):
to go on different adventures and look for new things.
Out their window, they could see amazingly puffy clouds and
there goes a flying hippopotamus. Wow. They live in a
very different world than you and I. But all of

(01:57):
a sudden, the flying hippopotamus started knocking his toes on
their window. It's like he was trying to tell them something.
So Glorian Lived decided to land their flying train down
on the ground below. They stepped outside from the train
and asked the hippopotamus if he needed any help, and

(02:20):
he said, thank you for landing your flying machine. You see,
me and the animals here are all out of water.
We could really use your help. Come let me show you.
The flying hippopotamus was now walking on the ground as

(02:40):
he led both of these two girls to where his
watering hole used to be. But he was right, it
was out of water. The flying hippopotamus explained to Gloria
and Live that the water used to come down from
a mountain way up high. He pointed to the mountain

(03:00):
that looked very, very dry. These two girls knew exactly
what to do. They waved goodbye to their new hippopotamus
friend and climbed aboard their flying train. You see, instead
of hiking up the mountain, they remembered that their train
could just fly them to the top. They thought that

(03:23):
there might be a problem at the source of the water,
which was at the very top of this very high
and dry mountain. One of the magical things about this
flying train was the conductor, Yes, the conductor of this train.
She just always seemed to know where it was that

(03:46):
you wanted to go. All you had to do was
imagine the place that you wanted to be, and it's
like it gave her the directions she needed to fly
the train exactly there. Glorian liv waved their hands out
the window towards the hippopotamus and his friends below and

(04:09):
yelled down to reassure them that they were going to
fix the water. After a short flight to the top
of this mountain, the conductor landed the flying train on
its very top. The two girls stepped out of the
train and looked around. They could see where a river

(04:31):
once flowed at the very top of this mountain, but
it was completely dry. The sand and rocks carved through
the mountain like it wanted there to be water there,
but there wasn't a single drop. Wait a second, what
was that sound? Drip drop, drip drop. Glori turned around

(04:59):
and so saw an old fawcet, yes, a real fawcet,
sitting on top of the mountain. As she motioned for
her sister Lived to follow her, they walked over to
this fawcet. It was a very large old water facet,
you know, the kind that you might turn on to

(05:21):
wash your hands. The two sisters looked at each other
and knew exactly what to do. They turned on the
faucet and out the water poured faster than they had
ever seen. Pretty soon the river had filled up and
the water gushed down from the mountain, crashing down all

(05:44):
the way to the watering hole. They looked over the
edge and saw some very happy flying hippopotamuses splashing in
their new water. Live in Gloria didn't know exactly what
to make of the source of this water. They were

(06:05):
surprised to find a water faucet on top of this mountain.
But now that the girls knew the source of the water,
they declare that it was their job to make sure
that this water stayed safe and stayed on for all
those animals down below. They yawned and climbed back into

(06:31):
their flying train to bring them back home. After such
a big day, it was time for a big sleep.
