Old. I'm will more about the drama, and I am
excited to share with you my new podcast, Essential Voices.
This kind of work that you're doing, looking at who
is essential, what are the challenges that they face, and
how do we put them front and center? Each week
on Essential Voices, will talk with an essential worker. I've
always known how impactful and influential my role is as

a teacher, and I am completing my nineteenth year of
I want to teach young people about all this stuff
that nobody ever told me. We'll talk with truck drivers, teachers,
mental health professionals, grocery store workers, folks of Cape society
going during COVID, and we'll keep it going long after.
I've been doing family medicine for almost forty years. It's

easy to give someone a hill, it's really hard to
see that person has a body, mine, and spirit. I
went to law school to be a legal late lawyer,
and I will always be a legally to have a kid.
I'm a community warrior. How can we continue supporting these
folks as the nature of the pandemic continue. News shifting

Last year, it was like a bomb hit. It went
to seven thousand runs a day. Five year old people
who couldn't breathe. You feel like you can save them.
They went to cardiac arrest and then we started to
get sick and we started to die. I've had ten
medics and e m t s passed away from COVID.
I've also had four of them commit suicide. After we
hear their story, our team digs a little deeper through

a roundtable discussion between thought leaders. The next step is
to have mental health care for all farm workers, immigrants
and essential workers, and to support these communities of color
that help us to keep going. For us to win dignity, respect,
power for our workers, It's not enough to just win policy.
