Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Hey it's Delilah. Today,
I'm sharing some of the greatest calls I've taken recently.

(00:24):
We're going to weave them together and share them with
you on Hey It's Delilah. Hi, good evening, Welcome to
the Delilah Show. Who is this?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Hi? My name is Sophia.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Hi Sophia. How old are you? You sound adorable?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I'm eight years old, about to turn nine.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Oh that's so important when you're eight years old to
remember that you're about to have a birthday. When is
your birthday?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
July twenty first?

Speaker 1 (00:54):
And what can I play for you on the radio tonight?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Whatever?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Okay, who do you want to talk about? Is it
for you? Or for your mom or dad? Or for
a sister?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Like?

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Who are you thinking of?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
It's my friend? For name is Emberlain.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Oh that's a pretty name. What do you want to
tell Imberlin?

Speaker 2 (01:15):
We've just been friends for almost four years and I
wanted to tell her that I love being friends with
her and we never really spy at all.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Wow, that's that's like half your life. Are you going
to have a birthday party? And are you going to
invite Imberlin?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Did you have a favorite song or would you like
me to find one?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
You can find one, Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I will do that. Okay, Okay, you have a good night. Okay,
thank you, bye darling, good evening. Welcome aboard. Who is this?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:57):
This is Damien, Damian. Hi, this Delilah. What can I
do for you?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I just like to dedicate a song to my wife.
She's been through a pretty rough patch here in the
last thirteen months, and I've been trying every night to
get in touch with you, and believe it or not,
I finally made it all right.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
So wife's name and how can I how can I pray?
What can I do with this rough patch?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Her name is Cindy and she ended up getting blood
clots in her lungs a year and a half ago,
and she ended up with COVID during all that process,
and she spent about six months in the hospital.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
I had to drive about three and a half hours
every day to be with her. But she made it.
She's doing good. She's on oxygen yet, but she's really
trying to make her life better. So I just like
to dedicate a song to her, any song, just telling
her that I love her and I'm always here for her.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
How many years have you been together?

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Twenty seven we've been married.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
So when you took those vows that sickness and in health,
you mint it.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
That is correct. We've been through a lot together, but
we've always been in each other's rock.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
And is there a song that is your song? Or
can I find one for you?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Well, she's partial to bond Jovie, but anything will do.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Let me find something sweet that says yeah, I min
it forever, forever and ever.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Okay, I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I appreciate you calling. Thank you for letting me be
a part of your night.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Oh, I appreciate it too. Thank you. You have a
good night.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Now, good evening. Welcome to the Delilah Show. Who is this?

Speaker 4 (03:47):
My name is Brandon.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Hi Brandon, What can I do for you tonight?

Speaker 4 (03:52):
You're having like a ladies' night tonight from what I understand,
And you've made a comment about traveling. I'm actually on
my way to surprise my wife, my three daughters, and.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
My son, so they don't know Daddy's in the car
right now.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
My youngest daughter does. I told her to keep it
a secret. I found out that we got in the
weekend off and because we started seven twelves next week
and we're going to be running that until the twenty
third of March, so I won't be able to see
my family until then.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
So what do you do that they're working you to death?

Speaker 4 (04:30):
I'm a construction worker. We rebuilt the boilers inside paper mills.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
We had a paper mill, an international paper paper mill
in my town growing up, and let me tell you,
when the mill pulled out, the town dried up.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yes, I've seen it happen. We were in Old Town,
Maine a couple of years ago, did a massive rebuild
on their boiler and three months later they shut the
mill down.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Well, when they shut the mill down and Sport, they
shut the town down. But I bought the little radio
station that I started on, and myself and a lot
of my friends are determined to bring life back to
read Sport. So that's what we're working on.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Awesome, Awesome. I am a very long time listening fan.
I dated a girl back when I was eighteen years old.
She introduced me to you, and throughout the years I've
listened to the show. I'm forty one now, so almost
twenty three years I've been listening to you. Thank you very.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Much, Thank you for coming home. Let me play a
song for you.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Thank you, ma'am.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Drive carefully, my love. Hi, good evening. You've called the
Delilah Show. Who is this?

Speaker 5 (05:52):
This is Rebecca? How are you doing, Delilah?

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Rebecca? I am wonderful. What can I do for you? Well?

Speaker 5 (06:00):
I wanted to tell you that I'm with the wonderful
man of my life. We've been together since high school
and it's been twenty three years since we actually got
out to have a date night. My kids pushed and
pushed tonight and my husband took me out and we
went to a wonderful place and then just enjoyed ourselves.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
You've got to be kidding me. You and your hobby
have not had a date, had time alone in twenty
three years.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Yes, ma'am until tonight.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
And what did you do? Where did you go?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
What?

Speaker 5 (06:33):
Like?

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Were you just? Like? What do we talk about? If
we're not going to talk about the kids.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
He took me to Texas Roadhouse. We had a wonderful
meal together. He had a beer, I had a margarita.
And our waiter was really nice and we just talked
about everything and we just enjoyed ourselves and we were
just laughing and enjoying ourselves. It was wonderful.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Wow wow, I think I mean, I thought it was
bad that my hobby and I don't go out but
maybe once a year, but at least we go out
at least once a year. Yes, I will play a
song for you too. What was your song when you
first got together?

Speaker 5 (07:15):
It was You're Not Alone by Michael Jackson. That was
the first time that we danced together and he had
to have the DJ play it. And ever since then,
that was our song together. And every time I hear
of it or if we get into an argument, he'll
muhamme it to me and I'm like, okay, stop it.

(07:35):
I love you.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Let me see what I can do for you. You have
a great night. Thank you for calling.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
Thank you you too, Juli lah I.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
So hope you have enjoyed these radio moments as much
as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll share more
with you each weekday on eight it's Delilah
