Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast your Hey, it's Delilah. Today,
I'm sharing some of the greatest calls I've taken recently.

(00:24):
We're gonna weave them together and share them with you
on Hey It's Delilah. Hi. Good evening, you've called the
Delilah Show. Who is this? Hi?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
This is Mitchelle and my two daughters are with me, Seer.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Hi, Michelle and her two daughters.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Girls, what are your names?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Hi? Pila, my name is Daja.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Hi girls, Thank you for listening.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yes, thank you, I was just calling. This is actually
the first time I've ever called you. And I actually
used to listen to you on the radio with my mom,
So it's actually nice like carrying on that tradition with
my kids.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Now, did you see the TikTok video that went viral
and you went, oh, wait, she's still around?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I did. I was so excited. I was like, so
the past two days, I've been living like it's the
nineties again. Sad.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I'm glad that I get to be a part of
this new generation. I'm glad I get to be a
part of your family and that the love just is
going to keep growing.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Thank you, me too, Me too, thank you for still
being here.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Hello, good evening, Welcome to the Delilah Show.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Who is this Hidlilah? My name is Melinda.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Hi Melinda, welcome a boy card. What can I do
for you?

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Would love to dedicate a song to my two daughters.
My husband and I are married forty years. We had
a daughter in nineteen eighty six and our second was
born in two thousand and four.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Wow, that's a little age span.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Almost eighteen years. I was engaged at the age of fifteen.
My parents allowed him to give me a ring with
the promise that he would wait for me to finish school.
We dated, we we stayed engaged for three years and
got married in nineteen eighty three, and the Lord blessed
us with two daughters, one in eighty six and one

(02:38):
in two thousand and four.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
God's so good.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Everything is in his timing, and that's how we live
our lives.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Everything is in His timing. But were you beyond shocked?

Speaker 5 (02:49):
No, I truly wasn't. Truly was not. We never did
anything to prevent a child.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
It's just we.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
You could say we used to joke and sell. We'll
take as many as God give, since the twelve will
be it. God says two is probably all you can afford.
And he was so right. God doesn't make mistakes.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
No, he doesn't know. I made my fair share, but.

Speaker 5 (03:13):
Hear you for years just to not cut you off.
We've listened to you for many years.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I was gonna say, I have made my fair share
of mistakes, but His grace has covered them all.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
Amen. Absolutely, God is so good.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Well, I hope he grants both girls the desires of
their heart, whatever that looks like. Thank you, Delilah, Thank you, Hi,
good evening. You've called the Delilah Show. Who is this?

(03:51):
This is Tracy, Tracy, What can I do for you?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I actually have a story.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Tell me your story.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
The significant other that I'm west, I've known him since
twenty thirteen, but we fell off contact for a while
and I went down a really dark path with two
of my exes and we reconnected back in twenty eighteen.
And I've been with this person for six years now

(04:23):
and we have two kids together, and it's been the
most incredible experience. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't
be here today. I was very sick, I was homeless,
and he saved my life. And he brought two amazing,
wonderful children to me, and I've off him to death,
and it's like I want to spend the rest of

(04:43):
my life with him. It's just trying to convince him
to marry me. It's like we're already engaged. We've been
engaged for six years, and it's like, I believe it's
time for us just to get married.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Okay, can I give you some mother Delilah advice?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yeah, that's okay.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
The first part of this conversation, you were telling me
about men and stuff from your past that was years ago.
The sooner you can forgive yourself and let that go.
That's ancient history. Honey, you got two kids. Right when

(05:23):
you're driving in a car, do you spend your whole
time driving looking in the rear view mirror and looking
behind you or do you look out the windshield and
look in front of you.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
I look in front of me.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
You don't need to bring up your past to me
or to anybody ever again. Okay, Okay, be that strong, confident, beautiful,
loving woman that you know you are yes, ma'am, thank you,
thank you, good night, Hi, good evening, thank you for

(06:02):
calling the Delilah Show. Who is this?

Speaker 6 (06:05):
This is Gary calling again on behalf of my wife, Cassie.
She's amazing. She takes care of our son and while
I work and she stays at home with him, and
I love her so much and I just I wanted
to know that. And she means the world to me
and our son, and she does everything for us, and
it's just truly a blessing.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
What's your son's name?

Speaker 6 (06:25):
He's actually Gary the Third. I'm named after my dad
and he's named after me and his grandpa to carry
on the name.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
So Mom's home with Gary the Third. Who is how old?

Speaker 6 (06:36):
He's going to be two next month? His birthday's coming
up on the twenty first, so we're playing his party
and we're super excited and we just oh so much
love in our little family.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
You sound adorable, Gary, You sound like a man who
is so in love over the moon, in love with Cassie,
with Gary the Third, with life, with everything that's just
your whole, the whole thing. God has blessed you as.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
Oh, absolutely beyond words. And I don't think I would
take anything back that we've gone through together as a
as a couple, as a husband and wife, and just
she's just my world, and so is our son, and
I thank God for them every single day, and I
just take it a day at a time and look
for all the winds we can get and we're there

(07:27):
together every step of the way, and I hope it's
that way till the very end.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Well, let's not even think about the very end. You're
just at the very beginning. You're just at the you're
at the starting line. You just barely got off the block.

Speaker 6 (07:41):
Oh yeah. Two years of marriage coming up in June,
and it's just it's been an incredible journey and I
can't wait to see what else unfold.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
I will play a song for your little world, your
beautiful world.

Speaker 6 (07:54):
Thank you so much, Thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Hi Michelle, welcome aboard. What can I do for you tonight?

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Oh yes, ma'am.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I've been married now for about twenty seven years, and
I once wanted to dedicate one to my husband.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Tell me about this man that you loved.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
He's my best friend, and we just kind of grew
up together, like we did, fall apart for a little while,
and then we found each other again and we just
got married like that week.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
How long were you apart before you reconnected and said,
let's not met this up again. Let's just run to the.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Preacher about five years.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
And then you saw each other and said, what were
we thinking?

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Well, he was walking into his job. He was working
at Poets at the time, and then we just kind of,
you know, we just co hosted up and that's what
I knew he was the one.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
And you got married how many days later, like.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Two weeks later, and everybody and your.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Family say, this will never last, you're a knucklehead.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
Oh yeah, we just got married by justice peace. And
then we just said, you know, because the throw that's
what I wanted. I wanted to just get in there
and get married because I knew he was the one.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
So have you ever wished that you had had a
big wedding or or a wedding with family.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
I'm the weird time. I'd rather go to Disney World
and with everybody.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Good for you. That's not weird, that's awesome.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
I mean you could have a big wedding and it's
just a big wedding and you're you know, that's it.
But then you can have you know, Disney World and
you have you know you'll be there for like three days,
you have fun time.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Maybe you should go to Disney World and get married there.
People do that all the time.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Sounds like a good tim mister, La.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
All right, let me find a song for you. Thank
you for calling.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
It's really nice to me and you and I just
think you're awesome. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I so hope you have enjoyed these radio moments as
much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll share
more with you each weekday on Hey It's Delilah Do
