Genesis 7:1-10 & Ephesians 4:3  Your kids will love this one! Noah, his family, and allllll those animals wait for 7 days inside the ark for the rain to begin. Kids will note that lions were with lambs, cats with mice yet somehow, they got along. We will hear that God is all powerful; taking care of every single detail. Noah didn’t know how it was all going to work but God didn’t say he needed to know.  He just needed to have faith to do what he was called to do and God would take care of the rest: including making those animals get along. We also discuss how we are to "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." As christians we won't all look the same, have the same talents and weaknesses and we will disagree at times, but it’s that same love of Jesus, that same goal of following Him that reminds us to work through problems with peace  in order to keep working together to help others know Jesus.  Access our coloring page AND BRAND NEW Noah Bible Study that follows the episodes here. Now to today's episode. Welcome back listeners to the ongoing
odyssey through the Noah's Ark adventure. As we begin Part
four of Noah, let's do a quick recap of the

(01:34):
journey we've taken together so far. First, we've witnessed God's
sorrow over a world filled with wickedness. We met Noah,
oh Hate there heard God's plan for a flood and
an arc, then marveled at Noah's unwavering obedience to God,

(01:56):
and heard God's instructions for the Ark soon to be
floating safe haven. Now brace yourselves for the continuation of
this Bible voyage, for within the ARC's giant walls lie
untold lessons, wisdom, and an adventure. We will marvel at

(02:19):
God's plans, kindness, and power. We'll also get to use
our imaginations as we consider each creak of the temper,
each rustle of feathers and fur within the arcs chambers,
and consider what it may have been like. Onward, we go,

(02:41):
anchored in the hope that God's lessons will shape our
hearts and minds in the chapters that await. Are you ready, Yes,
let's go. Let's begin. The The sun casts a warm
glow on the Ark as Noah receives God's command, his

(03:07):
eyes weathered by the passing years but the eyes also
have a glimmer of joy, a joy from his faith
in God. God's voice echoes in his soul, urging him
to gather his family and the animals, for the flood
is coming. The Lord says to.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Noah, go into the Ark, you and your whole family,
because I have found you righteous in this generation.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
All around the Ark, the anticipation must have been growing,
the air charged with excitement and a hint of nervousness
the flood would be coming. After God spoke to Noah.
I bet he had a conversation with his family, and

(04:09):
maybe it went something.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Like this, Everyone gather round. God has spoken to me
once more.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
What did he say, Noah?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
He told me that the flood is about to begin,
and it's time for us and all these animals to
finally enter the Ark.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
But the sky is still clear. It is knowing it.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Noah, placing a hand on Shim's shoulder, says.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
That's true, my son. But God's plans are far beyond
what our eyes can see. He asks us to trust
him completely, and that's what we're going to do.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Trust whom, even when things seem fine, Ham chimed in.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Oh especially then him God's timing is perfect, and we
must be obedient even when we don't fully understand.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
What about these animals, are they ready to Noah pats
the fur of the giant giraffe standing next to him.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Yes, my love, God has brought them here and he'll
watch over them. We're all in this together.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Sham looked out of the ARC's window.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
It should big boot Dad. Are you sure keep us safe?

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Noah, smiling warmly, replied.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
I am.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
God's designs are flawless. We've built the arc just as
he instructed. Now it's time for us to come step
inside and trust that he'll guide us through this coming storm.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
We've come this far, haven't we, Indeed.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
And with faith in our hearts, will weather whatever comes next.
Now let's gather our belongings and prepare the next step
in this adventure God has called us to. It's about
to begin.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
And with that, the ARC's door swings open, inviting pairs
of animals to enter. Elephants lumber alongside graceful deer, while
colorful birds flit through the air. Suddenly, the arc looks

(06:46):
like a bustling zoo, a sanctuary for creatures of all
shapes and sizes. Each animal guided by God taking its place, crawling, swinging, walking, trotting, flying,
and slothering into position.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal,
a male and its mate, and one pair of every
kind of unclean animal, a male and its made, and

(07:29):
also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female,
to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Listeners, if you were there that day and saw all
these animals entering the arc, which one would you have
been most excited to see?

Speaker 3 (08:00):
To see lions, I can't imagine seeing giraffes for the
first time.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Thanks for sharing, and remember back then they didn't have
the Internet or photos. I bet a lot of the
animals that showed up they would have never seen until
that moment. Imagine their surprise as the last pair of

(08:29):
animals get settled, the ARC's door begins to close. Noah,
his family, and the animals are safely inside. The atmosphere
inside changes. The world outside fades away, replaced by quiet

(08:54):
as they all wait for what will happen next. Everyone,
How might Noah's family have felt as they realized they
were sealed inside the ark?

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Nervous they were in their fears and snakes. Maybe they're
excited because of the Persian snakes.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah, I wonder how they felt. Let's keep going. The
Bible tells us God said.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Seven days from now, I will send rain on the
earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will
wipe from the face of the earth every living creature
I have made.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him. Noah,
it was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came
on the earth, and Noah and his sons, and his
wife and his son's wives entered the ark to escape
the waters of the flood. Pairs of clean and unclean animals,

(10:17):
of birds, and of all creatures that move along the ground,
male and female came to Noah and entered the ark
as God had commanded Noah. And after the seven days
the floodwaters came on the earth. How many days did

(10:40):
it just say? They waited in the ark until the
flood began. I'll give you options. Did they wait one day?

Speaker 3 (10:49):
No?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Seven days?

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Yes, For seven days, Noah and his family dwelled in
this refuse, surrounded by a host of animals. Noah may
have gathered his family for times of prayer thanking God
for his guidance and protection. Maybe they reviewed the instructions

(11:15):
given by God, ensuring that every detail was in place. Listeners,
what do you think Noah and his family did inside
the ark for seven days before the rain started to fall.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
I bet they got to know all the animals. Yeah,
I would have started naming them too. Here's our turtles.
This is Frank and Lisa. Over here are the cheetah,
Susan and Michael. You can't name it Cheetah Susan? Why not?

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Thanks for sharing? You might be right for the seven days,
I bet the family formed a bond with the animals
and enjoyed seeing how creative God is by the way
he made these animals. Giraffes with long necks, chameleons they
can change color, the platypus, who has what looks like

(12:18):
a duck's bill but also kind of looks like a beaver.
I mean, what beautiful and wild creatures he made. God
could have bored us with just three kinds, but instead
he gave us a whole animal kingdom to enjoy. I

(12:38):
imagine Noah's son's taking turns standing guard, watching the weather
for any signs of the impending storm. But for seven
days the sky remained clear, the sun cast its gold
and glow upon the arc. Then, as the seventh day

(12:59):
grew to a club, the skies darkened and a whisper
of rain began to fall. Small drops dancing on the
arcs wood soon became a downpour. The calm before the
storm was ending, and the heavens were ready to open,

(13:20):
releasing the waters that would cleanse and renew the earth. Noah,
his family, and the diverse assembly of animals stood in
the arc, trusting that God's promises would carry them through
the floodwaters and into a new beginning. Well, that is

(13:48):
it for our story today. But before we go, let's
think about what we just heard. We discovered that the
Ark was a remarkable place of love and co op
Lions and lambs, mice and snakes, birds and cats. Do

(14:11):
these animals usually get along? No, you're right, But in
the Ark God had them work together side by side.
God is all powerful and would take care of every
single detail. Noah didn't know how it was all going

(14:32):
to work, but God didn't say he needed to know.
He just needed to have faith to do what he
was called to do, and God would take care of
the rest, including making those animals get along. It was
like a grand animal party where everyone, no matter how different,

(14:52):
worked together with the same goal. We see this idea
of unity and the book the Bible called Ephesians.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
It says, make every effort to keep the unity of
the spirit through the bond of peace.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Just like the animals on the arc, Jesus calls us
to work together with peace. For us, we are to
be united in following Jesus, to love and forgive and
spread the good news as Jesus taught. Let me ask
you this, do all the Christian people you know look

(15:35):
exactly alike?

Speaker 3 (15:39):
No?

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Do they all have the same talents and weaknesses?

Speaker 3 (15:46):
No?

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Do you think sometimes Christians disagree with one another?

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (15:54):
But do we all love Jesus and try to follow him.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
And it's that same love of Jesus, that same goal
of following him that reminds us to work together through
problems with peace in order to keep working together to
help others know Jesus.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Well.
