Speaker 1 (00:03):
And ye now therefore have sorrow. But I will see
you again, and your heart shall rejoice and your joy
no man taketh from you John sixteen twenty two. Dear Father,

(00:37):
as this day is coming to an end, please allow
me to relax and let go of stress. Help me
to rest my thoughts and problems into your arms. Allow

(01:05):
my thoughts to be consumed by your grace and peace
so that I can rest peacefully tonight. Father, Help me
to reflect on today with confidence so that I can

(01:31):
start fresh tomorrow. Father, remind me of my higher purpose
and plan that you have said before me. Let your
spirit speak to my mind and heart as I sleep

(01:58):
in Jesus name. Amen. Thank you for listening to pray
dot COM's nightly prayer to experience a pocket of peace
before you go to sleep. Stay tuned for our free
meditative prayer after this quick word from our sponsors. Oh,

(02:26):
welcome to your meditative prayer on staying on track. To
get the most out of your spiritual journey, use pray
dot com every day and make prayer a priority in
your life. Our goal for today's meditative prayer is staying
on track. Head to a quiet space, take a moment

(02:48):
to gather your thoughts and quiet your spirit. Close your eyes,
breathe easy. Now take captive every thought and fix your
attention on God's word. Invite the Holy Spirit to come
have fellowship with you. Ready your heart and open your

(03:09):
mind to receive from him. We will be meditating on
James Chapter four, verse seven from the King James Version.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he
will flee from you. Take some time to adore God

(03:30):
for his grace. God, I look to you and praise
you for your greatness and your power. I worship you
for the deliverance found in your presence. I praise you
for you overcame you challenge the world and one God.

(03:52):
I bless your name, for through the blood of your
son Jesus Christ, you have made your victory my own.
Be obedient to God and stand firm in his strength.
There is strength in submission to God. When you submit

(04:12):
to God and therefore obey his commandments, you have access
to his power and his strength. And you need God's
strength for you will never overcome Satan on your own,
but when you stand under God's authority, Satan will flee

(04:32):
from you. When you serve the Lord of Heaven's armies.
He will back you up. If you try to withstand
Satan alone, you will not stand. Satan comes to steal, kill,
and destroy, and he's been perfecting his strategies for a
long time. His goal is to get you off track

(04:57):
and then destroy you. Outside the protection of the Holy Spirit,
you cannot win. But when you surrender to God's will
and follow the leading of his Holy Spirit, you create
a situation in which Satan knows he cannot win. He
will leave you and wait for an opportune time. Do

(05:21):
not give him the chance to regroup and return. Instead,
turn to God, pour out your heart before him and
leave nothing on the table. Confess your sins before God
and remove every foothold of the enemy in your life.

(05:42):
Take a moment to dwell on God's amazing gift of strength.
Think of how Jesus had to persevere and rely upon
the Father to complete his task. Thank him for submitting
himself in obedience to God's will, for continuously and wholeheartedly
pursuing his calling. Thank him for setting aside his personal

(06:05):
desires for the benefit of mankind, and for being the
perfect example to be emulated. Give thanks to God for
his mercy and his grace over you, yesterday, today, and always.
God is present and he is listening to you. Jesus
was intimately acquainted with the task of resisting Satan. He

(06:29):
is aware of the struggle and hardship associated with being tempted.
As Jesus persevered and relying on the Father's strength to overcome,
you will too. You are not alone. Ask the Holy
Spirit to help you. Submit your whole heart to Christ.
Ask him to empower you with conviction and determination to

(06:53):
live as Christ lived. Remember, give yourself to God. Stand
against the devil. At the devil will run away from you.
Fear not. The victory is already yours. Jesus Christ persevered
in the strength of the Father and overcame the devil.

(07:17):
Be encouraged by God's love and testimony. Strive to submit
to God every day and in every way. Stand firm
in the strength of Christ. Resist Satan and he will
flee from you. Be blessed. Thank you for completing today's
