(01:35):
here for us every day as he always does. Chris
Bavona and Greg Sousman in the studio. Everybody's working really
hard to bring you some fantasy football coverage. And of
course it wouldn't be Sunday without my co host, Jim Day.
The Fantasy Taz joins us. Jim, are you ready for
some football? My friend, definitely ready. I've been up since
five o'clock. I'm definitely ready for some football. Working hard, grinding,

(01:59):
it's like we all do. I like that he's up
since five am, just for you people out there to
get your football lineups right. So let's start with somebody
who got paid yesterday and it's Ryan Griffin. Yeah, that's right,
journeyman tight end Ryan Griffin, who's been in the league
about six years played for the Texans. Hardly anybody noticed.
He had a couple of touchdowns here and there, and

(02:20):
all of a sudden he ends up with the Jets
as the second string tight end, and uh well, Chris
Herndon gets suspended, Chris Hernon gets hurt, gets hurt again.
Next thing you know, Ryan Griffin's catching balls and he
just got extended. So, uh good for Ryan Griffin. I say, clearly,
Sam Donald really must like him. Maybe their roommates together
on the road. I don't know, but I'm I'm shocked

(02:40):
at this. It's great for him, it's great that he
got paid. But I think going forward, at least for
the rest of the season, I think you feel pretty
confident that you can run Ryan Griffin out there pretty
much every week. Would you agree with that, Jim Oh,
I do agree with that. They're definitely getting him involved.
Donald likes to keep him involved and want to keep
those tight ends involved. And like you said, Herndon just
couldn't stay on the field for multiple reasons. So this

(03:02):
guy comes in, he does well for them. He did.
You know, he showed flashes in Houston of being this
kind of player, and you know, now we're seeing it
from him, and you know the extension can't be good
for Herding's value going forward in dynasty leagues. That's definitely
gotta take a little bit of a hit there. Yeah. Absolutely,
I think in dynasty leagues you can kind of, you know,

(03:23):
at least for now, if you have to drop somebody,
if you need to pick up somebody would be competitive,
and Herndon was on your roster, I think you would
do it. Uh, Speaking of tight ends to George Kittle
is back on Sunday night. He expects to play in
the matchup against the Green Bay Packers, which we've put
the little helmets out for. So George Kittle on the air. Look,
he's had fifty seven targets, forty six sketches for five
forty one and two touchdowns. Not the season you drafted

(03:46):
him for. Clearly it's been okay. Last year was brilliant.
Last year, no Jimmy Garoppolo. This year Jimmy Garoppolo. Now,
granted you can blame it on the injuries, but I
guess here's the question for you. Are we expecting George
Kittle the rest to the year to basically be kind
of playing through these injuries and being mediocre or are
re expecting maybe this turn here of health leading to

(04:09):
a strong finish, And really what we all want to know,
will he have a strong finish for the playoffs and fantasy?
I believe he will. Look, it really does come down
to how much pain he's in and whether or not
he can fight through it. He's trying to fight through it.
Like you said, he's supposed to play tonight. We expect
him to play, but you really still have to pay
attention to the inactives before that game just to make

(04:31):
sure it does happen. It's always nice to hear somebody
is expected to play, but you never know if that's
really going to happen until those inactives come out. But look,
it really is a matter of Kenny stand the pain.
He's absolutely the number one receiver on that team, even
with Sanders there, and you know they need him if
this passing game is going to do anything. They need
him on the field too, you know, at least give

(04:56):
them something over the middle that they just don't have
right now. So do think he's gonna bounce back? I
do think he ends up finishing the years strong, as
long as his injury doesn't take him back out again.
Now Deebo Samuel was questionable with the shoulder, he's expected
to play. Manuel Sanders expected to play too. So it
looks like all hands on deck for the forty Niners

(05:17):
in this one on Sunday Night football. It should be
a really fun matchup. If you're just a football fan,
that should be a great game for you. We've also got,
all of a sudden, the Browns are all healthy, David
and Joku is gonna be active. So now you've got
Kareem Hunt, you got in Joku, you got Landry, he
got oh, you got nick Job, you got Baker Mayfield.
The gang's all here. But what's that, Well, it's not

(05:40):
wasn't gonna be active today. I'm here. Oh, I am sorry,
I am sorry. You are corrected. I am hearing you now,
I'm sorry. There's a bit of a delay there, but
you're right. It looks like he is not gonna be active.
They were trying to get him on there and now
it's unfortunately he won't be uh Juju Smith Schuster is
gonna be inactive in this one. So let's move over
to the Steelers here, uh Juju and uh Deonta Johnson.

(06:02):
That was the questionnaire, who's gonna be in there. Deonta
Johnson's going to suit up, Juju is going to be
inactive for this game. Washington's gotten a ton of looks lately. Uh,
with Johnson not being a hundred percent but playing in
this game, can you rely on Washington or is he
continuously a dark throw? For my money, I still feel
like he's a guy that you just don't know what
you're gonna get it out of him. I'm not a
big Mason Rudolph fan. Don't like what I've seen all year.

(06:24):
I don't care how bad the Bengals are. I'm not
feeling James Washington. To me. I think it's just a
desperation kind of play where you have no choice. He's
just the best guy you have left as a flex
or a wide receiver. Three. How do you feel about
Washington today? Well, you know, it's a nice matchup going
against the Bengals, But I'm with you. You know he
needs one or two of those decent sized plays to

(06:45):
get him into fantasy books. He's just not seeing enough
targets to get there on its own. So if he
doesn't score a touchdown, you're really scrambling to try and
break down fantasy points and that that scares me a
little bit. I know he had a great game against
some ms in Week ten, but the week eleven against
the Browns, he does nothing. Prea catches forty nine yards
and that's you know, the kind of thing you're gonna

(07:07):
see with him. He's very up and down. Uh. This
whole passing offense is really tough to trust right now.
Like you said with Mason Rudolph Hunter center, he does
not spur any kind of confidence whatsoever in his passing ability. Yeah.
James Conner also out for this one, So the Steelers
are really playing from behind here. Um, you're gonna see
Jaylen Samuel's but he hasn't been really outstanding wearing the football.

(07:30):
I think the Steelers are a little bit of trouble here.
They better win this game on defense. Also got Brandon
Cooks who's cleared concussion protocol, so is Sterling Shepherd. Both
of those guys will be back on the field. Are
you throwing Cooks and Shepherd back in lineups right away?
Or are you more in the wait and sea vein
with those guys, Jim, Uh, Yeah, Shepherd scares me. I

(07:51):
don't even know why they're trying to rush this guy back.
And remember a couple of weeks ago, they said, oh, yeah,
he's good to go, he's gonna be on the field,
and then you know, at the very last minute, we
find out that he's back in the protocol again. And
that's my concern with him. All it's gonna take this
one hit and he could easily be back in that protocol.
This team should put him on I R and just
let him rest for the rest of the season. They're

(08:11):
not playing for anything, all right. Let's move on to
for the Eagles, al Sean Jefferies questionable, expected to play.
Jordan Howard also uh questionable but not expected to play
in this one. So Jay a Giant? Is that where
we're at here? I know Miles Sanders has gotten a
decent amount of work recently. They're gonna be without Lane

(08:31):
Johnson as well. So Eagles have a lot of injuries
to This has been a year of injuries for everybody.
Also for the Giants, we mentioned that Sterling Shepherd's back,
but unfortunately Evan Ingram is out for this one again.
So the Giants are gonna go in Chicago without their
star tight end. Another missed game for Evan Ingram, not
good for fantasy owners, not good for the Giants. But

(08:51):
what's good for you is that we've got the big
fantasy games on tap. We're gonna break him down for
you when we come back, So stick around more. Roto
Experts in the Morning with my self and Jim Day
right here on the grid. We'll be right back right
after this. Are you ready for the nation's first and

Rotal Experts in the Morning live for the FanDuel Sports
Book here at the meadow Lands. We've got the Jets

(09:57):
playing in just a few hours, and uh, the Oakland
Raiders come into town. Still the Oakland Raiders, not the
Vegas Raiders quite yet. Although John Gruden's rolled the dice here.
It seems to have paid off with this young team
as they continue to uh look like they might be
challenging for a playoff spot. We'll see what happens here
as they continue that game. At one o'clock today, Joe

(10:18):
Pis will be a gym day with you here. We
are live on sports gride dot com, live on Zumo
and Pluto TV and stir as well. You can also
check us out for free live on YouTube on Sports Grade.
So go check that out and watch the show, and look,
you subscribe. Next thing. You know, every Sunday you're spending
with me in your coffee. What's better than that? Honestly,
I can't think of anything. So let's get after it

(10:40):
and let's talk about some of the big time fantasy
games that we've got our eyes on today. And obviously
Bucks Falcons is at the top of that list. High total,
it's at fifty one, so a lot of expected points.
But I'm a little concerned here, Jim Day. I'm concerned
because I'm looking at a spot where you've got the
Bucks who have obviously had trouble turnovers, and now you've

(11:00):
got the Atlanta Falcons defense which the Falcons have not
given up an offensive touchdown in the last eight quarters
of football. The Falcons over the last two games to
the Panthers and the Saints in New Orleans have given
up a total of twelve points. So I ask you,
Jim Day, are you a little bit concerned with the
Tampa Bay Bucks being able to beat this all of
a sudden new look, non Dan Quinn play calling defense

(11:24):
of the Atlanta Falcons. Well, we talked about this last week. Yeah.
I love what Falcons are doing on defense, and I
do expect him to take a few picks here today,
maybe even a pick six, But that doesn't mean anything
for Winston because Winston's just gonna keep throwing the ball
no matter what happens on the other side of the field.
And even in the games where he throws multiple interceptions,

(11:45):
he's still putting up good enough fantasy points to get
you usually in the top twelve. And I like him
this week, even against this tough Atlanta defense, to throw
the ball enough. With those great receivers, he's gonna make
some Hey, all right, So well, let's talk about Julio
a bit of a touchdown drought. I know you're not
really concerned. I'm not concerned you ever take Julio out

(12:06):
of her lineup. But it's funny because since Hooper has
been out, you thought, okay, maybe they funnel ball a
little bit more, but instead Ridley has really kind of
been that guy, so has really really established himself for
you as a guy that you just never take out
of the lineup. Now. Oh, I don't know if I
never take him out of the lineup, but he's definitely
gotten a lot more place since the new has been
moved to New England, and that's a good thing for him,

(12:28):
and I expect that trend to continue. Matt Ryan is
another one who's just going to throw the ball a ton,
especially with Defonte Freeman still out. Brian Hill did nothing
last week, so I expect them to come out throwing
in this one. I think both of these guys are
you know, easily be good players this week and should
be in most lineups this week. Alright, So give me

(12:49):
who has the big game for the Bucks? Is that
the Mike Evans game? Is that the godwin game? Which
of the matchups do you think actually open up more
for one of these two big white outs for the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I'm riding Mike Evans. Look, I just
think he's a better receiver. Godwin was off to a
great start early in the season, but we've seen him

(13:09):
cool off a little bit lately as Mike Evans has
really progressed, and I think that trend continues in this one.
They're gonna need big plays. I think they get a
lot of big plays, and I think that a few
of them are gonna go to Mike Evans. So I
like him to have a really nice game in this one.
All right, Now, this is another big time matchup. There's
only two four o'clock games on the slate. You know,
the Jags and Titans, and then you got the Cowboys

(13:31):
going into New England. New England's coming home and look,
they've had uh some rough outings here. Offensively, they got
no s new in this game. That's not a good
positive for them. Obviously, no doorset as well, So they're
getting thinner and thinner in a position they really can't
afford it. So let's start with the Pats here. Who
steps up in this void? Here? Are we talking? It's

(13:52):
just a big Julian Edelman game? Are we talking about
Nikkil Harry emerging a little bit, or is this really
going to fundamentally come back? Play defense, run a football,
run the football, run the football, and that's gonna be
the Pats offense today. How do you see the Patriots
offense running and who's it running through? Well, I do
think they're gonna run a lot. It's supposed to be
really nasty weather, a lot of rain. Um, it's not

(14:14):
supposed to be so cold, but it's gonna be in
the forties, so that's pretty cold. Um, But is you
know the field might be a mess. I do think
they try to run a lot, just because the receivers
really haven't done much outside of Edman Edelman. Um Sinew
had the one game when he was there, but then
it hasn't been back, so we're not sure what we
get with him. So outside of that, I mean, it

(14:34):
could be a Sony Michelle day. But I'll tell you Trump,
I don't really have a lot of trust in Michelle
because every time you think it's gonna be Michelle, somebody
else vultures to touchdown and screwge you out of those points.
I think James White is a great play today. I
think he's gonna get involved in the short passing game
and make go doing the well quite well that way. Well,

(14:55):
let's look at the Cowboys side for a second here.
Obviously you're gonna have Gilmore and Stefon Gilmour, who has
played just absolutely brilliantly this year, has been a lockdown corner,
arguably the best corner in the league on Amari Cooper.
So what does this mean for Gallop and Cob? Cobs
had a real good trend lately. Do you believe in
these other guys and their ability? I know there's also
a flu going throughout the Dallas Cowboys right now. That's

(15:17):
apparently something that's just come to light over the weekend.
So I don't know how healthy some of these guys
are on this team. But uh, do you believe that
this Randall Cobb renaissance over the last couple of weeks
is a real thing? Or do you prefer Gallop in
this contest? Actually? I like Cobb a lot. I do
think you know, we know New England loves to take

(15:38):
out the number one offensive player or the other team.
That's gonna be Cooper. But I also think that they're
gonna be running a lot on Gallop as well, trying
to take out that big play, and because of that,
I think we're gonna find Cob open quite a bit
running those third routes and doing network. I like Cobb
a lot on this one. I think even that Jason
Witten could come to play in the one as well

(16:00):
as the defense tries to take out Gallup and Cooper.
All right, let's move on to the Panthers and Saints.
I like when I saw at Alvin Camaro last week.
He looked healthier than I've seen since September, since the
start of the season. So the question for you, Jim Day,
are you buying in with me that Alvin Camara is
back in and ready to once again remind everybody why

(16:23):
he was a top five overall pick. Oh? Absolutely plus
going up against that Panthers defense who are just atrocious
against the run on the season their thirtieth against the run,
but over the last month or actually the worst in
the league at thirty two against the run. So I'm
really looking for Alvin Camaro to get, you know, big

(16:43):
game here. We may even see a little bit more
Latavia's Murray and this one as well, especially if the
Saints can get up to an early lead. How do
you feel about starting DJ More this week. Now, I'll
never take DJ More out. I know Lattimore's trending in
the right direction, looks like he's gonna see it up
for this when he's not a hundred percent, I would
still play a DJ More anyway with a not percent Lattimore.

(17:06):
Would you do the same or is Lattimore another one
of these guys like Gilmore where you really have to
make concessions in your lineup elsewhere and look for maybe
a little bit more upside and your flex whenever you
know you might get a little less from a guy
like a Marii Cooper or a guy like d J Moore.
D J Moore is seeing way too many targets to
really want to take him out, And with Lattimore not

(17:28):
a hundred percent, that gives you that little bit of edge.
I hope he can get in there and make those plays.
So because of that, yeah, I'm definitely not totally down
on DJ More this this week. I do have him
at seventeen, so I definitely think he's in play as
a wide receiver too, And you know he's always got
that wide receiver one upside with one or two big plays.

(17:49):
How do you feel about the Packers going into the
San Francisco and taking on the forty nine, because we
know a couple of weeks ago how the Chargers, you know,
in past rush really got Aaron Rodgers and that offense
all of a sudden fell apart. Do you have any
concerns about that happening again here against that pass rush
with Bosa and company. Well, it's definitely gonna be rough

(18:11):
on him there there. That's gonna be the big thing.
Can they keep Aaron Rodgers upright and safe is gonna
be the big question. But every time I try to
doubt Aaron Rodgers going into a big game against a
tough defense, he always seems to pull through. So I'm
not as concerned as most. I actually haven't a number
seven this week, so I do think he's still gonna

(18:32):
put up good points. I know it's a tough matchup
for him and it definitely could burn me, but I'd
rather have him on the field and not do a
good game than have him on my bench and him
go off. Yeah. I think Jamal Williams is very much
in plays a flex this week too, because with that
pass rush, I think the smartest thing you can do
is to get rid of the ball quickly, and that
means guys like Jamal Williams kinda settling out there, a

(18:53):
little screen passes and things like that. I think that's
the way you want to stay healthy and keep Aaron
Rodgers upright in this game, it'll be asking to watch.
That's a big one. Plus the Rams and Ravens will
be a big one on Monday Night as well, Lamar Jackson.
Monday Night football doesn't get much better than that. And
really we have to see what are the Rams now?
What is Todd Gurley going forward? Is he gonna have
carries now? Is this the stretch run they've been holding

(19:16):
them for? I don't buy it, But we're gonna talk
about that and a whole bunch more with Davis Maddock,
Mr Rhotal Expert, when we come back here in a minute.
So if you're on the grid, stay on it because

Rotal Experts in the morning with me, Joe Piazappia, Jim
days with us and as we always like to do,
we like to open things up here to the round
table and bring in Mr Roto expert. You know him
on Twitter at Davis Maddock because he is Davis Maddock. Davis,

(21:07):
how are you this morning, my friend? I'm doing I'm
doing grand. We have a great day of a low
total fantasy football games ahead of us. Uh, really interesting play,
a lot of interesting decisions for people. With the Chiefs, Chargers,
Vikings and Cardinals on by. You know, people are losing
huge cores of their fantasy teams in Week twelve, a
really important week for fantasy football. So excited to make

(21:29):
some tough decisions this week. Now, this is the second
week in a row, so I gotta ask you about it.
The background. Where are you? I said you were in
the matrix last week. That's what it looked like. Where
are you broadcasting from? Are you like in some sort
of hub? Is this where all the data gets crunched
for roto experts. I'm fascinated by the locale. Well are
our friends at sports Grid. They sent me a new backdrop.

(21:51):
The old backdrop I had that was made out of
nylon so it would reflect my studio lights. Now I
have this fancy cloth background that just soaks in all
of the light. And if you if you look really
closely at my backdrop. These numbers, Joe, they're they're spreads
of games. So it's like they're trying to Oh I
can see it now. It is the matrix stuff. Oh

(22:12):
my god, look at that. And yeah, don't look at
David's backdrop too long. He's very sensitive about that stuff.
So let's let's go on some football here, and let's
talk a little bit about the Eagles. Obviously, Jordan Howard
is gonna be out of this one, and Zack Berman
of the Athletic was discussing j G I and he's
come away with the quote, which is JGI is going
to have a notable role in this game against the

(22:35):
Seahawks this week. So Davis, are you buying that? And
if so, does this help Miles Sanders or does it
hurt Miles Sanders? It just it does not help Miles Sanders.
It definitely hurts him. And I think the one area
where it's gonna hurt him the most is where Sanders had,
you know, his role could have grown near the goal line.
Because the Eagles have not been an efficient offense. They

(22:57):
just have not been able to score points really this year,
and I think that Sanders would have been a better
fit near the goal line than Jordan Howard because he's
a little bit more agile. You know, He's just able
to move a little bit more. But if the team
decides to give those carries, those targets to j as I, well,
then all of a sudden, we're looking at Miles Sanders,
you know, basically just being you know, kind of Darren
Sprawls on steroids, you know, getting five to ten carries

(23:18):
a game and then getting three to six targets a game.
But if he's gonna score, it's gonna have to come from,
you know, pretty far away from the goal line. So
you know, I think Sanders went from being someone who
I could have seen being a running back one down
the stretch to you know, just in a bad part
of a time share with j as I. Yeah, it
seems like he's more of a flex if anything. Here
Jim on the other end of this game with the Seahawks,

(23:40):
Tyler Lockett, not Josh Gordon newly acquired, has been working
his way in a little bit. We know Dk Metcalf's
had some moments in the season two. Uh, the Eagle
secondary has not been good, but they're getting healthier lately.
So my question for you is there a favorite in
this matchup or is it just Jim? Basically, it's Tyler
Lockett and the rest is just the dart throw. The

(24:02):
rest is a tart throw. I like Tyler Lockett and
I like Hollister because, like you said, the Eagles are
getting healthy on the season. There twenty nine against imposing
wide receivers over the last five weeks are actually number
six as they get healthy, so they're playing much better
in the secondary, although they're playing much worse against the run.
Uh So there. It's been, you know, back and forth

(24:23):
with these Eagles all year. One side gets better, the
other side gets worse. It's been a constant flux between
the offense and defense like that all year. You know,
this is a game many expect the Eagles to get
right against Seattle. I don't see it. Um. I just
don't know if Wentz has it in him anymore. The
Eagles offense just doesn't look very fluid and that got

(24:43):
me concerned. But they do look to get alshon Jeffrey
back today, so hopefully that helps a little. Uh. You know,
they're gonna see both of those tight ends involved in
this passing game. But you know, it definitely is concerning
on this. You know, the lock it is a guy
that you just can't sit. These always capable of putting
up at least one or two touchdowns in almost every game,

(25:04):
and you want to have that opportunity. So outside the locker,
once you get into Gordon all those other guys, it's
very hard. They need one or two big plays maybe
to get into fantasy relevance. Otherwise you're stretching it to
try and get the double digit points. Speaking of fantasy relevance,
I stumbled upon this this week, talked about on the
radio show on f and T s Y Radio on
fs T is the New to twelve Show with myself

(25:27):
and Craig miss Over on the radio version of what
we're here on the Sports Grid, And uh, this is
Russell Wilson and another quarterback. I'm gonna call him quarterback
X for now because it sounds cool and sexy. So
Russell Wilson's eight and two. Quarterback X is eight and three.
Russell Wilson has two four completions, X has to yardage
to seven thirty seven fifty six touchdowns to interceptions twenty

(25:51):
three to two for Russell Wilson twenty one to three
for quarterback X quarterback X is Kirk Cousins. So, Davis,
why isn't Kirk Cousins getting any sort of discussion as
m v P. I know he was terrible in September,
but when you realize, hey, look at these stats, they're
right there with Russell Wilson. Maybe we should be giving
him more respect. Are we not giving kirk Cousins enough

(26:13):
respect right now? Well, he doesn't have the narrative, and
that's what m VP is all about. Narrative. Narrative drives
the anot discussion. You know, last year Mahomes had it.
This year, Lamar Jackson has the narrative. Um Dak is
getting a little bit of narrative, of course, Russell Wilson,
Russell Wilson actually has the best narrative you can get,
which is every time that the Seahawks lose, the media

(26:34):
and the fans blame it on the coaches, and then
every time that they win, everyone says, Russell Wilson had to,
you know, overcome the cowardice and the stupidity of the
play calling of you know, Brian Schottenheimer and Pe Carroll.
So that's really the best situation you can get in
as a quarterback when everyone gives you credit for the
winds but doesn't blame you for the losses. And that
doesn't happen for Kirk Cousins at all. He pretty much

(26:57):
shoulders the blame every time Minnesota loses, and then when
they win, you know, people they for some reason, people
actually credit Dalvin Cook for how successful the Vikings offense
has been despite how good Kirk Cousins has been this year. Yeah,
I think it nailed it, man. I agree a percent.
Tyler Boyd another guy who is out there in the
media right now who basically said, Hey, I'm not getting

(27:19):
the ball enough. What's going on here? And I agree,
and I'm sure fantasy owners agreed to so. Jim or
do you think that there's going to be an over
correction today? We've seen this a lot in the last
couple of years, where a wide receiver comes out publicly
and says, hey, I'm not getting the football enough, I
need more targets, I need to eat, and then the
next week he goes out there and he eats. Now.
I understand it's tougher defense assignment here with the Pittsburgh Steelers,

(27:41):
but do you think, at least from target standpoint, an
opportunity that Tyler Boyd does see a bit of overcorrection
in this game. Jim, Oh, I do. I do expect
them to try and go to them a little bit more. Unfortunately,
I'm also not a huge believer in Ryan Finley, so
that that, you know, puts off just a little bit.
But I do think they get him involved. The squeaky

(28:03):
wheel seems to work almost incessantly in the NFL. Uh.
You know, you get out there and oh, I need
a ball more. You know, the team wants to get
him a little happy. He's you know, very possibly their
number one receiver next year. I don't know what's gonna
happen with A J. Green. I doubt he comes back
to since he will see but if not, then Boyd
is definitely their number one going to next year. So

(28:25):
you don't really want him getting so disappointed that he
doesn't want to be there. So I think they do
try to get him more involved in this game. Uh.
I don't think he has a great game, but I
do think we see a little bit more of him
this week than we did last week. I'd like to
see a Green end up with the Raiders next year.
I think that's a great fit. Bringing a veteran wide receiver.
You have Williams on one side, Green on the other.

(28:47):
You got a real tight end, a real running back.
All of a sudden, you know, Derek Carr has got
all these weapons at his disposal, and I think the
Raiders become a real serious playoff contender next year if
they can do that. We'll see, We'll see what happens there.
Him and I were talking about the Patriots offense before,
so I want to bring it to you here and
see if you can kind of settle the argument. Is
it the Sony Michelle day? Is it a James White day?

(29:10):
Or is it more of this lackluster in between Davis
when you're looking at the weather, the matchup, and the
fact that Tom Brady just is getting less and less
targets to throw to every single week and that's just
not a good thing. So are we thinking it's Michelle
and they're just be gonna run, run, run, you know,
kind of keep it that way, or are they going
to try to use James White as the deficiency of

(29:30):
the wide receivers they're lacking in the passing game today?
This is a James White, Julian Edelman day. For me,
I think that this line is probably inaccurate. I do
not think that the Dallas Cowboys, regardless of the weather,
regardless of the coaching staff. I you know, I don't
think that they are a touchdown worse than the New
England Patriots. And I think that the Patriots are going
to be tested in this game, very similar to the

(29:51):
Ravens game. Now, I think that the Patriots are better
than Dallas. I don't think that the Patriots are better
than the Ravens, and largely because New England has such
a good coaching staff. But you know, I don't think
that this is gonna be a Sony Michelle game. I
think this is gonna be more competitive. So I think
we're gonna see a lot of James White. I actually
think we're gonna see more Rex Burkhead than Sony Michelle today.
Burkhead is kind of the uh He's kind of the

(30:13):
Foxhole player for the Patriots, you know, when they really
have to try in a game. We saw this in
the playoffs, we saw this in the Super Bowl. They
limit Sony Michelle snaps and they really bring in Burkhead
a lot Yeah, we're gonna talk about Burkhead in the
next part of the show and the stars and sits.
I like that you brought that up. I kind of agree.
I think he's gonna be a useful flex guy. All right,
ten seconds. Who has the better game today? Odell Beckham Jr.

(30:35):
Or Jarvis Landry in terms of fantasy. Who's the guy
you want? Jim Day, Let's start with you. I'm going
with Beckham. I know Landry has been out playing him,
but you know, I just have this feeling that this
is a game where they finally get Odell really involved
against his Miami secondary. All Right, Davis, how about you.
You're going with Odell or you're going with Jarvis Lantry

(30:56):
And the way the trend has been going, Odell, for sure,
he is gonna be This is gonna be a breakout
game for him. You know, over a hundred receiving yards,
gonna score a touchdown. This is a big O'Dell Day.
I thought I was gonna have to break a tie here. Instead,
I'm gonna be the man on the island. Give me
Jarvis Landry. That's right, I want Jarvis Landry. I'm sick

(31:18):
and tired to hearing about Odell's breakout game. I'm still
waiting for it, and I'm waiting for it. I'm not
even wearing a watch and I'm still waiting for it.
It's week twelve and it still hasn't happened yet. Uh,
it'll be good. I think he'll be good. I just
think Landry is gonna be a little better. I just
like that high volume of Landry. Uh. Davis, thanks as
always for joining us. You can check him out on

There are some people on the bubble still, But for
the meantime, jim Day and I are going to start

(34:00):
getting through your lineups and getting the guys you want in,
the guys you need to take out and everything in between.
So let's start with QB one, and let's start with
Jimmy Garoppolo. Jimmy Garoppolo, I feel like it's right on
the fringe this week. I think as a QB one,
he is right there. Uh. Dak Prescott amazing, Like that's
a guy that you think every week you want to
start him. He's been so good. Tough match up here

(34:21):
against the New Englod Patriots, especially in New England. So
let's start with Jimmy Garoppolo. You think Garoppolo is a
QB one this week? Would you start him as a
QB one? Well, actually, for the first time all year,
I haven't met number eleven, so I do have him
inside my my top twelve this week. Uh. You know,
it's a good matchup. I think they're gonna have to

(34:41):
throw in this one. Green Bay's defense is definitely not
very good against the past, so I think Garoppolo steps up.
He's got most of his weapons back. It looks like
they're all gonna play anyway, so that should help. Kittle, Sanders,
Samuel all looking like they're ready to go, So I
think that helps a lot. So yeah, I think he's
he sneaks into that top gwelve for me for the

(35:03):
first time all year. All right, Uh tell me this.
Where's Dak Prescott on your ranking this week? I'm curious? Um,
I actually haven't been number of twelve. Um, okay, I do.
It is the matchup, and yeah, we are talking to Patriots.

(35:24):
I mean they are tough, and it's in New England.
They haven't been home in a while. It's been a
couple of weeks as they had a home game, so
I expect that crowd to be pretty ruckous there. Carson
Wentz and Derek Carr two guys too. You look at
the matchups, you say, okay, they should be able to
put up some fantasy points. So I'll ask you who
do you prefer in this week as a QB one
and Carson Wentz at home against the Seahawks or Derek

(35:46):
Carr on the road against the New York Jazz. I'm
going with Car, absolutely going with Car. I have him,
and let's see, I haven't met number eight. I have
Wentz at fourteen. I'd said it earlier. I just don't
like went at all this point. Their offense just doesn't
seem to be clicking on any level. Uh, doesn't look

(36:08):
like Jordan Howard's gonna play, a j G is gonna
be in his stead. I just don't love it. Al
Sean Jeffrey should be back, but that's about it. And
Nelson Aghalore doesn't look like he's gonna be playing. This
offense just hasn't clicked pretty much all year. I would
have to say, so I'm not really loving him in
this matchup. And then in a one quarterback league I
wouldn't start him. All right, Let's go to the two

(36:30):
quarterback leagues. We got Daniel Jones we mentioned earlier as
at a very high turnover rate, which is not great.
Got Mason Rudolph, who doesn't have much of a rate
of anything. So between those two guys, would you rather
be starting Mason Rudolph against the Bengals or Daniel Jones
on the road against the Bears. Jones clearly has a
lot more weapons. I would lean towards Daniel Jones and

(36:51):
take my chances with the mistakes. How about you? Yeah,
I'm the same way. Rudolph hasn't shown me anything. I
don't have any faith in him whatsoever. Especially with Juju
out that definitely doesn't help. So yeah, I'm staying away
from Rudolph. I do have Jones, so I think he's
in a two quarterback league. Was super flex, He's definitely

(37:12):
in play. I know it's a tough Chicago team. I
know they're tough against opposing quarterbacks, but Jones should be
able to throw enough to make some points here. So
I definitely take Jones over Rudolph. Alright, one more super
flex quarterback situation to get to. It's a tale of
two Allen's. You've got Kyle Allen on the road in

(37:32):
New Orleans, probably playing from behind, coming off a huge
turnover week four picks last week for him not good
at all. And then he got Brandon Allen who played
pretty well on the road for the first half of
the game and then not so much in the second
half against the Vikings. Brandon Allen is gonna be on
the road in Buffalo, gets a tough secondary. So which
Alan do you prefer? Neither? Is that an answer? Can

(37:55):
I say neither? Think I was hoping you would say
Josh Allen that just kind of be a jerk about it. Okay, Well,
then Josh Shallen, I'll live up to. We all prefer
Kile Alan coming off that four in exception week last week,
I don't think it gets any better for him this

(38:15):
week going up against the Saints. I think they put
the same amount of pressure on him, forced him to
make those same kind of mistakes. Um and the other
Alan going against Buffalo, Yeah, I'm not really buying into
that at all. So both of those guys are outside
my top twenty four this week. All right, let's get
the running back here and let's talk about Let's talk

(38:35):
about Brian Hill, because with a lot discussion last week,
everybody thought, well, it's a pretty good floor play. It
bombed out. It was not good. He had looked good
in previous games. All of a sudden, freemen out there.
People go out, well, Brian Hill should be able to
pick up that workload. Did not happen. Wasn't great. You
can argue games script, you can argue this and that.
What I don't like is he took to Twitter afterward
and he decided to say, oh, I had a bad game.

(38:56):
Sorry Fantasy owners. No, I'm really not l o l
ha ha ha. I'm not thing. It's not funny and I
I don't like it. So, Brian Hill, are you going
back to this well again or do you think this
is another thing where he's just kind of a I
don't know, just a piece to the side. It's all
about Matt Ryan just throwing the ball around all over
the place. I'm not going back to him at all.

(39:17):
Look As the game progressed, he did look a little
bit better last week, but I'm not saying much better.
Early in the game, you saw him trying to force
everything up the middle, even when there were chances that
he could bounce outside. He didn't. Later in the game,
he finally started bouncing outside. But it's not gonna matter
because the one thing that Tampa Bay defense has been
good at all years stopping the run their number two

(39:37):
against imposing running backs on the season and fantasy points.
And I don't see that change for Brian Hill. The
other factor is Brian Hill just is not involved in
the passing game. So because of that, you're just not
getting any of that extra bonus in His floor is nothing.
So I wouldn't have any faith whatsoever and starting Brian
Hill today. Yeah, and let me tell you something. I'm

(39:58):
I'm sitting him. I'm dea he said them, not just
because of the comments, but like you said, because against
that defense has been so good against the run. I
just don't see enough upside for him. Uh. Let's talk
about Latavious Murray. So if we are all in on Camara,
does that mean we can still start Murray as a
flex or do you think that really? This is now
the offense starting to turn in another direction here as

(40:19):
we kind of hit the stretch run. How do you
feel about Latin Murray this week? Well, it really comes
down to the game flow. Does New New Orleans get
out to an early lead, If they get out to
an early lead, then I think we see more Murray
in this one. If not, if this game stays competitive,
then we're gonna see a lot more Alvin Kamara. So
we've seen Murray the last couple of weeks really not

(40:41):
get enough touches. This is the game that could change.
But it's definitely, you know, a risk. There's definitely a
risk involved here, and um, you know, it really comes
down to how this game plays out. I'm not gonna
start him over guys that I think have absolute potential,
but he's definitely in a mix for a flex play,
depending on who your options are. All Right, I'm feeling

(41:03):
good about Darius guys this week. I think this is
a good opportunity for him. It's not a good Lions defense. Now, Look,
I don't I'm not saying that all of a sudden,
the Redskins offense is gonna be very good. What I
am saying is that I think it's time to start
to turn the page to Darius. Guys. Got his feet
wet last week, AP has been banged up, missed a
lot of practice. This week, I feel like you're gonna
see those seven rushes turn into fourteen this week. Last

(41:25):
week he also caught that one pass for the touchdown.
So do you believe as well that it's time to
kind of let Darius guys take the ball and be
the number one here and starts in week twelve? I do,
I really do like guys this week, great matchup for him.
Adrian Peterson has been questionable all week. It'll play. It
looks like he's gonna play, but I do expect them

(41:48):
to lean on guys a little bit more. Look, they
really need to find out whether he is the guy
going forward or not. He just hasn't been on the
field enough. So you got him on the field now,
you've got a great matchup. You how to let him
roll and see whether or not he can take a
full game and what he can do with it. And
I think in this matchup against this defense, I think
he's definitely in play for me. I have him as

(42:09):
a running back to now, but I think he's got
running back upside in this matchup. Alright, let's do one
more pairing here. Let's talk about Rex Burkhead versus another guy,
Bo Scarborough. Scarborough was a guy who's very popular at
the waiver wire this week who had a couple of
moments in that last game, but kind of a one
dimensional back Rex Burkhead again usage seems to it would

(42:33):
it would at least appear that Rex Birkehead would be
in line for more users in this game. Would you
feel better, let's say half point PPR? Would you be
starting Scarborough or Rex Burkhead this week as a flex? Oh?
I have Scarborough a little higher, but it's man, it
doesn't feel great. It seems like every week and you're
looking at a different running back and that that scares

(42:55):
me because of that, But at the same time, I
just don't know if I can go the other way.
New England running backs are just scary. Burkehead should be
more involved, but if it's really let's sloppy field, I
could see Sony being more involved. It's such a scary
situation to try and predict New England running backs and
one of the reasons I have made a vow that

(43:17):
I will make sure I never drafted New England running
back again in my life that isn't named James White.
That's a good vow to make. All right, let's do
some of the wide receivers here. Would you rather to
Mary as Thomas or Robbie Anderson this week against the Raiders. Go.
I'm gonna go with to Marrius Thomas. He's more involved.

(43:38):
For some reason, they're not getting a ball to Robbie Anderson.
I don't know why. It could change in this matchup.
I'm not saying it won't. The Raiders can definitely be
beat through the air one of you know, their in
the league against opposing wide receivers, so it could be
a game that Anderson really comes to play. But they're
just not giving them enough chances and that scares me.

(44:00):
You all, to Marius Thomas, they're using him a lot
to get that first down to move the chains, and
I think that trend continues in this one. All right,
let's do another one. Let's go to the Giants here. Uh,
Sterling Shepherd's gonna be back for this one after concussion protocol.
Surely there's always that risk of a re injury in
him coming out again. Obviously that's always there. Darius Slayton's

(44:20):
played very well, He's had some touchdowns, He's had a
lot of moments here. So Darius Slayton or Sterling Shepherd
this week at wide receiver, Jim, who do you prefer Oh. Man,
if Shepherd starts and it looks like he's gonna start,
you gotta go with him. But man, I don't love it.
I don't understand why this team just doesn't put him on.
I r let him get healthy for next year. Doesn't

(44:42):
make any sense to trying to trot him out. Remember
two weeks ago they said he was ready to go,
and then all of a sudden, at the last minute,
they put him back into protocol. So that's scary. But
if he starts, he's got to be the guy. But
I don't love it at all. I mean, I have
no problem if somebody says, well, look, I'm gonna start
slating over him, I can't argue that point either. So
I can't, you know, say no to that definitively. All right,

(45:06):
Shepherd scares me. Ten seconds here, I want to get
one morning here. Ten seconds Jim, Josh Gordon or James Washington.
Who would you rather start? Real quick? Gosh Gordon? All right,
Josh Gordon against that Eagles secondary. There you go, yeah,
well that's a good point, and then that's a tiebreaker. Okay,
let's close things out here with three and out where

(45:27):
Jim and I look at the three things that we've
got our eye on in week twelve year on Sunday,
And for me, it's can the healthy giants here are
mostly healthy at least with Sterling Shepherd and uh of
course Colden Tape playing well and see Kwam Barkley looking
healthy for the first time in a while. Could they
steal a victory here against the Bears in this very
lackluster offense and a defense that's been struggling against running backs? Jim,

(45:50):
what do you have your eye on them this Sunday? Um? Definitely?
What really high on that Dallas New England game? Doc
has been playing. It's such a high level all year
and you know, going up against this great New England defense, Kenny,
keep that momentum going New England hasn't been really tested
too much this year. Let's see if they get tested tonight?

(46:12):
All right? And last for me, can the Atlanta d
go a third straight game without giving up an offensive touchdown?
I say yes, why not? Let's have some fun. Okay,
that'll do it for us. I want to thank Jim
Day and Davis Maddock as always, want to thank everyone
behind the scenes as well as stay tuned Pro Football

Here's what you missed on the run, experts. Is there

(47:19):
a favorite in this matchup or is it just Jim? Basically,
it's Tyler Lockett and the rest is just a dark throw.
The rest is the dark brow. I like Tyler Lockett.
I like Hollister because, like you said, the Eagles are
getting healthy on the season. There twenty nine that gets
composing wide receivers over the last five weeks are actually
number six as they get healthy, so they're playing much
better in the secondary, although they're playing much worse against

(47:40):
the run. So there it's been, you know, back and
forth for these Eagles all year. One side gets better,
the other side gets worse. It's been a constant flux
between the offense and defense like that all year. You know,
this is a game many expect the Eagles to get
right against Seattle. I don't see it. Um. I just
don't know if Wentz has it intom anymore. Of the
Eagles offense just doesn't looked very fluid and that got

(48:02):
me concerned. But they do look to get alshon Jeffrey
back today, so hopefully that helps a little. Uh. You know,
they're going to see both of those tight ends involved
in this passing game. But you know, it definitely is
concerning on this. You know, the lock is a guy
that you just can't sit. He's always capable of putting
up at least one or two touchdowns in almost every game,
and you want to have that opportunity. So outside the locket,

(48:23):
once you get into Gordon all those other guys, it's
very hard. They need one or two big plays maybe
to get into fantasy relevance. Otherwise you're stretching it to
try and get the double digit points. Speaking of fantasy relevance.
I stumbled upon this this week, talked about on the
radio show on fnt S Y Radio on fs T
is the New Just twelve show with myself and Craig
misch Over on the radio version of what we're here
on the sportscrid And uh, this is Russell Wilson and

(48:45):
another quarterback. I'm gonna call him quarterback X for now
because it sounds cool and sexy. So Russell Wilson's eight
and two. Quarterback X is eight and three. Russell Wilson
has two completions, X has to yardage to seven seven
only six touchdowns to interceptions to two for Russell Wilson,
one to three for quarterback X. Quarterback X is Kirk Cousins. So, Davis,

(49:10):
why isn't Kirk Cousins getting any sort of discussion as
m v P. I know he was terrible in September,
But when you realize, hey, look at these stats, they're
right there with Russell Wilson. Maybe we should be giving
him more respect. Are we not giving Kirk Cousins enough
respect right now? Well, he doesn't have the narrative, and
that's what m VP is all about narrative. Narrative drives
the air enough discussion. You know, last year Mahomes had it.
This year, Lamar Jackson has the narrative. Um Dak is

(49:33):
getting a little bit of narrative, of course. Russell Wilson,
Russell Wilson actually has the best narrative you can get,
which is every time that the Seahawks lose, the media
and the fans blame it on the coaches, and then
every time that they win, everyone says Russell Wilson had to,
you know, overcome the cowardice and the stupidity of the
play calling of you know, Brian Schottenheimer and Pekroll. So

(49:53):
that's really the best situation you can get in as
a quarterback when everyone gives you credit for the winds
but doesn't blame you for the losses. And that doesn't
happen for Kirk Cousins at all.
