Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome to Santa gust a production of I Heart Radio.
Well hello there. When we last left Santa, he was
having a hard time. The most wonderful time of the
year can be the toughest time of the year for Santa,
and Christmas Day is rapidly approaching. While there are still

(00:22):
billions of toys to be manufactured, Santa is beginning to
doubt if the children of the world even believe in
him anymore. He needed a more modern way of reaching
all the children of the world. That's when his elves,
Snowball and Evergreen, convinced Santa to do the podcast. Oh
what's the point of all this? Now? Christmas is only
five days away and we're in a recording booth. We

(00:44):
need to be making toys, not podcast or whoa Santa?
We already talked about this. This is a weird year.
People are angry, frustrated. They need to hear from you.
Come on, Santa, everybody's doing a podcast except for you.
Name the belief a mead is driving everybody everybody and
they're good. Have you heard of the Easter Bunnies podcast?

(01:07):
It is really good? Or the Tooth Fairies. The belief
a mead has tried to do critical levels. Like I
told you, children around the world love you and they
want to hear from you, and we gotta get that
belief meter up up up. Oh, I don't know. I
don't think I have a very good voice for radio.
This isn't radio, it's a podcast. Hey, you remember the

(01:31):
kid who lost her Christmas list is my best Oh,
we have got to help that kid. Yeah, yeah, Santa,
You're the only one that can do that. You're right,
Let's get her on the line. Hello. Well, hello, greetings

(01:59):
from the North Pole. My name's Evergreen. I'm an elf
up here at the North Pole, and I have Santa
Claus standing by to talk to you. Listen. I have
a couple of questions I'd like to ask you if
you're willing to help me out, would that be okay great.
I'm just trying to learn a little bit more about
what kids are into this Christmas season, and I wanted
to know how does your family celebrate Christmas? Um, My

(02:23):
grandma and grandpa come overy usually and we talk together
and we're in where funny hat sometimes I have a
funny hat to you know. I have heard that you
have been a wonderful host to our little elf friends. Snowy,
she's very fine. She keeps them moving, which I love that. Yes,

(02:48):
that's what I was gonna ask. Snowy has a reputation
for being a little mischievous. Can you tell us about
anything she might have done this Christmas season? Um, she
hanged on one of the branches of our Christmas tree,
but then she fell off her so we got some
gloves and put her somewhere else. Then she liked that place,

(03:09):
so she stayed there a little bit in the morning
the next day, and then she moved into my stocking.
Oh yeah, she loves to look for chocolate and stockings
and they are warm. That's true. Now listen, Snowy did
tell us you had a bit of incident, if you will,
with your Christmas list. She said that you got pretty

(03:31):
upset about it. Can you tell us about that? I
lost it? Then we made a new one that was
even better. Did you feel bad when you lost it? Yes? Yeah,
Well I've got some good news for you. We actually
got both of your lists. I wanted to let Evergreen
explain to you. I I'm kind of an older fellow
and I don't know all the technology, but the elves

(03:51):
are using a little something today. Yeah, Well, what's it called? Uh, yeah, Santa,
It's called Jangle Jangle. It's a wireless cloud technology, so
when Nora writes her list, it immediately gets uploaded and
saved for you to peruse, so that she doesn't have
to keep track of a physical list anymore. It's very
convenient and um it's very stable, so Norah can trust

(04:16):
that everything she wants this year is written down in
a place where you can find it. And handwritten letters
are still fantastic. We wanted to implement something too for
those that were more eco conscious, so the app has
been a great benefit in that regard. I have a question,
since you said that Nora is a funny person, we
could use some humor up here at the North Pole. Nora,

(04:38):
could you tell me your favorite joke that you've heard lately?
Knock knack? Who's there? Little old lady? Who? That's a
good one. Would you like to hear a joke from me?
You want to hear a joke about pizza? Nah, it's
too cheesy. WHOA. She's got a good sense of humor.

(05:01):
That's how you know that joke. It's my test for
kids with a good sense of humor? Is that joke? Nora?
Before we go, I'd like to ask you, would you
tell me what you think the true meaning of Christmas
is being with family. You are such a beautiful soul, Nora,
and I know that you are going to have a

(05:23):
very very merry Christmas. Okay, thank you so much for
taking time to talk with me today. And you keep
an ear out. Okay, you might hear my slave this year. Okay?
Do you have any questions for Santa? You know? The
one that I get every year is how do I
get down the chimneys? Do you have a chimney? Yes,
that's right, you do. How do you think I get

(05:45):
down the chimney? I don't know, very carefully, one break
at a time. A lot of people think I use
spanks to tighten up my midsection, but it's not true.
So the only way I can get down a chimney
is Christmas magic. Do you know about miss magic? Yes?
Where do you think Christmas magic comes from the north poem?

(06:07):
That's a fair guess. That's what most people think is
that Christmas magic comes from me and my reindeer and
my el and it's trapped in the permafrost. Not true?
You know where it comes from, Nora, from you little
boys and girls all around the world, spreading joy and
Christmas cheer. That's where Christmas magic comes from. So can

(06:29):
you spread joy and Christmas cheer for me this season? Yes,
I believe it. I know you. You're one of the
great Nora. Thank you for talking with us this morning. Welcome. Okay,
you have a merry Christmas Christmas. You know, Santa catell
by talking with little Nora that maybe he wasn't so

(06:50):
out of touch. After all, he was a little girl
who believed in the important things, time with family, peace
on earth, and good will toward all. Maybe this podcast
thing was where king. This episode of Santa Cast was
recorded in the North Pole by Evergreen and Snowball with
your host Santa Claus. Special thanks to our friends Brad Brinkley,
Hannah Feerman, Matt Stanton, Dan Bush, and Brent Dye. Santa
