Start with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who've got the number one
defense in the league and now a four time Defensive
Player of the Year award winning in Rudy Go Bear
since it was announced last night that he had won.

Indeed, Defensive Player of the Year.

They're up to and zero in this Western Conference Simm's
matchup against the reigning defending world champion Denver Nuggets, led
by twenty two year old Anthony Edwards, the t Wolves
are ready to put the rest of the playoffs under
lock and key. And I'm not I don't believe I'm
exaggerating or engaging in ourperberly when I say that. When
you look at ja N McDaniels, when you look at
nas Reed, when you look at Anthony Edwards, when you
look at cal Anthony Towns without Rudy go Bear on

the basketball court, because Rudy Gobert was with us fiance
who was giving birth to their child. The Minnesota Timberwolves
ran the Denver Nuggets out their own damn building. They
were kicking denvers as so bad. Jamal Murray, a class personified,
a closer, a winner, a champion, became very very uncharacteristic,

first throwing a towel towards the officiating and then after
that literally throwing a heating pad on the court that
Carl Anthony Towns actually stepped on. You don't know what
could have happened to him. It is a miracle that
Jamal Murray was not suspended for tonight's Game three. It's
a miracle because he should have been. Now, I'm not
advocating for it. I'm not wishing for it. I thought

Russell Westbrook should have gotten suspended in Game three of
the Dallas series the way that he acted. I don't
apologize for that to a damn soul. I meant that
shit I said.

Even though again, I didn't call the league office to
ask why he wasn't suspended or to have him suspended. Rather,
I worked for NBA Countdown, and I had to ask
the question because I was asked to ask the question.
But that's neither him nor dead. In the case of
Jamal Murray, I didn't want this man suspended. I wanted
this man for game thing. By the way, I spoke
to the League office about his non suspension as well, Okay,

the official said, had they seen it, he would have
been immediately injected.

They would have dealt with it.

But in the after math of that, Adam Silver decided
not to suspend him.

I think that Adam Silver a great Commission, who's done
a great job, opens himself up to criticism because you're
gonna join the comparisons between him and his predecessor of
the late great David Stern, who would have suspended Jamal
Murray in a nanosecond, and we all know that. But
Adam Silver's a bit different, and it's the playoffs, and
he doesn't want the playoffs deciding suspension by the officials

deciding the series, even though that ain't what he did
for Lebron James when he gave Lebron and the Cleveland
Cavaliers that stimulus package known as the suspension that Draymond
Green after Game four that series when Golden State had
gone up three to one in Cleveland and Draymond gets suspended,
and then after that Andrew Bogan and Andrea Guadala gets

hurt during the game that Draymond was suspended, and the
Cleveland Cavaliers ultimately come back and win the series and
erase the fifty two year old curse in the city
of Leaving for his sports franchises, they couldn't win a championship,
But I digress any end. What it comes down to
is this with Jamal Murray, He's gonna play tonight. And
you know what, the way the Minnesota Timberwolves looked, particularly

in that first half against the Denver Nuggets, it's almost
as if they called the league and said, don't suspend them,
let him stay on the course so we could kick his.

Ass some more. That's how ferocious their defense was. These
brothers got height, they got sized, they got.

They quick afoot, they're tenacious. They go after it at
every freaking position. These brothers in Minnesota are no joke.
And when you consider that they're led by a twenty
two year old superstar and Anthony Edwards. When you combine
that with the fact that Carl Anthony Towns make sure
he dropped twenty seven. When you look at the nads

Read and the McDaniels, and an Alexander Walker and a
Conley junior, and these boys even slow mow himself. Okay, well,
what he brings to the table. I could have believed
the clamps that I saw Minnesota put down on the
Deffer Nuggs. I ain't seen defense like that in thirty years.
I ain't seen defense like that since the Chicago Bulls,

led by Jordan Robin and Pippen went after the Orlando
Magic in Game one of the Eastern Conference Finals series,
when Shaq and Nick Anderson and Penny Hardaway and those
boys were on the court and they were damn there
scared to dribble the ball pass half court. They were
that scared because Jordan and them were in them defensively.
And Nick Anderson, who had had two steals against Jordan
and basically was perceived as being somebody that stopped him

and embarrassed him in the previous year when he came
out of retirement from baseball for the last seventeen games
in the regular season and then the postseason. You got
this guy walking around like he had accomplished something so big.

It was never really a series from then on, and
we all knew it. I haven't seen defense played on
an NBA team like that until the Minnesota Timberwolves first
had performance in.

And that's why I'm of the mindset, like, Yo, these
brothers might win it all. They might win it all
because guess what, I don't see Denver coming back from
the series.

And then when you look at Dallas.

Against Okac, OKC is gifted, no doubt, with young Thoroughbreds
and what have you, but not girth size.

but I'm telling you right now, Shay Gilgers Alexander got
my vote. I have a vote, and I gave Shay
Gilger Just Alexander my vote for League MVP. Honus fifty

know if I'm gonna pick the Knicks to win this series.
I'm gonna hope, I'm gonna pray, I'm gonna pray beyond prayer.
But Mitchell Robinson is out. He's out with an ankle injury,
and he's out for the rest of the series. So
what does that mean exactly? That means that the New

York Knicks don't have Julius Render. That means that the
New York Knicks don't have Mitchell Robinson, and that means
the New York Knicks squad has to rely on Isaiah
Hartenstein and some dude named Precious as in precious Ature.
Now me personally, I think their pressure should have been
playing and he should it have been getting more minutes.

Think he's mobile. I think he's got some skill sets.
I don't think he's as clumsy as Mitchell Robinson. He's
not the rebound and the shot blocker that Mitchell Robinson is,
but he is better with his footwork. He does seem
a bit more coordinated, and I think that he can
help this team. The question is if you're the New
York Knicks. This was my reservation about Tom Thibodeaux. You

don't use your bench. And because you don't use your bench,

Indiana goes about ten deep and they're the leading offense
in the NBA, and they're the only team in the

I'm very worried about the New York Knicks.

I can see this series going seven games. If that,
I can see Indiana winning. But I'm still not gonna
jump off the Nick bandwagon. I'm just confessing that I'm worried.

That's all because the injuries. If Julius Rando and mister
Robinson were not hurt, New York Knicks will be a
sure five bet to get to the conference finals.

focus on the ladies of the WNBA for a second
and a long overdue milestone for that league. The WNBA
announced yesterday they planned to commit fifty million dollars over
the next two seasons so players can fly on charted planes.

The league faced the backlash on social media when Indiana
Fever star Caitlin Clark and the team was seen walking
through a Dallas airport headed to a commercial flight. The
move addresses years of safety concerns for.

The league and their players. Let me tell you something.

I'm gonna say this on behalf of Caitlyn Clark. I
need any females out there who are fans of the WNBA,
who are fans of WNBA players, who are critical of

Caitlin Clark in any way to stand down.

Chill out. You need to hug that girl when you
see her. You need to embrace her.

You need to compete like hell to go up against
the taker down on the basketball court. That's fine, which

others of the world will gladly do. But what you
don't need to do is look at this girl with
a spec of resentment when it comes to what she's
doing for the WNBA. I know it made news the

other day when her game was aired, and Andrew Reese was
in Chicago, and the only reason we saw their game
is because it was videoed by a fan, which is
egregious because over eight hundred thousand people watch that, which
means there's an audience out there that wanted to see

you let that happen?

How do you let it so Caitlyn Clark could be
seen and Angel Reese know why anybody else could be seeing?

But in her very first press conference she brought up
the fact that they had to fly commercial and the
next damn day, fifty million was committed to the players.

Who you think has something to do with that? It's
Kaitlyn Clark.

She could have been self fish, she was selfless. She
could have been all about herself. She was about everybody,
not just herself. The WNBA was preceded by the nc DOUBLEA.
Remember that girl that took a video years go where
the men had this big ass weight room or was
it USA? I only know it was the NCAA or

USA basketball. But the men had this big weight room
area facility designated for them, and the women just had
one little room with one piece of barber or dark dumbbells.
What the hell was that? And it was videotaped. It
was egregious, it was embarrassing. It had people bringing up
Title nine, an equal and equitable treatment for women. Well,

guess who damned their equal to playing field with one
sound bite.

That was Caitlyn Clark.

After years and years of existence by the WNBA, After
all of these years of these ladies flying commercial, having
to go through security, having to mingle even when they
didn't want to, with personnel, with folks in the airports,
and all of this other stuff, Caitlyn Clark next all
of that said, we find commercial walking through the Dallas
Airport and stuff like that getting spotted.

Come on, y'all, she spoke up.

She didn't just speak about change, She spoke about the
need for change. And she was courageous enough to come
in before she ever took a damn jump shot on
a pro level. I adn't talking about no damn preseason,
and she spoke up, and that's gonna benefit all the
ladies in the WNBA. She is not somebody to be resented.
She is somebody to be respected and appreciated for the position.
And she took in what she was willing to publicize.

there's nothing wrong with that because she's gonna try to
kick yours. But before the game, you respect that woman.
After the game, you respect that woman. And we can't
get caught up in the same old bullshit everybody well
I mean now, I mean the sisters, And if she
were black, they wouldn't have done it. That's true, and

Andrew reasons a black woman who's a national champion, who
beat Caitlyn Clark to win the national championship, and all
by the way before they lost to the final four

say real quickly. I understand Jokic is phenomenal. He can't
jump onto a curve and you still can't stop him.

is NBA players versus NFL players. To touch on this

get right into it. ESPN analysts and former NBA player
Austin Rivers says he could take thirty NBA players right
now and throw them into the NFL, and says, on

NBA players with football ties mainly in high school, that

You're trying to tell me some of these brothers couldn't
play power for it. You're trying to tell me if
you know they couldn't play power forward, they couldn't play

degree with some of the girth these brothers have on them.

defense in the league and now a four time Defensive
Player of the Year award winning in Rudy Go Bear
since it was announced last night that he had won.

Indeed, Defensive Player of the Year.

They're up to and zero in this Western Conference Simm's
matchup against the reigning defending world champion Denver Nuggets, led
by twenty two year old Anthony Edwards, the t Wolves
are ready to put the rest of the playoffs under
lock and key. And I'm not I don't believe I'm
exaggerating or engaging in ourperberly when I say that. When
you look at ja N McDaniels, when you look at
nas Reed, when you look at Anthony Edwards, when you
look at cal Anthony Towns without Rudy go Bear on

the basketball court, because Rudy Gobert was with us fiance
who was giving birth to their child. The Minnesota Timberwolves
ran the Denver Nuggets out their own damn building. They
were kicking denvers as so bad. Jamal Murray, a class personified,
a closer, a winner, a champion, became very very uncharacteristic,

first throwing a towel towards the officiating and then after
that literally throwing a heating pad on the court that
Carl Anthony Towns actually stepped on. You don't know what
could have happened to him. It is a miracle that
Jamal Murray was not suspended for tonight's Game three. It's
a miracle because he should have been. Now, I'm not
advocating for it. I'm not wishing for it. I thought

Russell Westbrook should have gotten suspended in Game three of
the Dallas series the way that he acted. I don't
apologize for that to a damn soul. I meant that
shit I said.

I meant it. When I said it, I mean it now.

Even though again, I didn't call the league office to
ask why he wasn't suspended or to have him suspended. Rather,
I worked for NBA Countdown, and I had to ask
the question because I was asked to ask the question.
But that's neither him nor dead. In the case of
Jamal Murray, I didn't want this man suspended. I wanted
this man for game thing. By the way, I spoke
to the League office about his non suspension as well, Okay,

the official said, had they seen it, he would have
been immediately injected.

They would have dealt with it.

But in the after math of that, Adam Silver decided
not to suspend him.

I think that Adam Silver a great Commission, who's done
a great job, opens himself up to criticism because you're
gonna join the comparisons between him and his predecessor of
the late great David Stern, who would have suspended Jamal
Murray in a nanosecond, and we all know that. But
Adam Silver's a bit different, and it's the playoffs, and
he doesn't want the playoffs deciding suspension by the officials

deciding the series, even though that ain't what he did
for Lebron James when he gave Lebron and the Cleveland
Cavaliers that stimulus package known as the suspension that Draymond
Green after Game four that series when Golden State had
gone up three to one in Cleveland and Draymond gets suspended,
and then after that Andrew Bogan and Andrea Guadala gets

hurt during the game that Draymond was suspended, and the
Cleveland Cavaliers ultimately come back and win the series and
erase the fifty two year old curse in the city
of Leaving for his sports franchises, they couldn't win a championship,
But I digress any end. What it comes down to
is this with Jamal Murray, He's gonna play tonight. And
you know what, the way the Minnesota Timberwolves looked, particularly
(05:13):
in that first half against the Denver Nuggets, it's almost
as if they called the league and said, don't suspend them,
let him stay on the course so we could kick his.

Ass some more. That's how ferocious their defense was. These
brothers got height, they got sized, they got.

They quick afoot, they're tenacious. They go after it at
every freaking position. These brothers in Minnesota are no joke.
And when you consider that they're led by a twenty
two year old superstar and Anthony Edwards. When you combine
that with the fact that Carl Anthony Towns make sure
he dropped twenty seven. When you look at the nads

Read and the McDaniels, and an Alexander Walker and a
Conley junior, and these boys even slow mow himself. Okay, well,
what he brings to the table. I could have believed
the clamps that I saw Minnesota put down on the
Deffer Nuggs. I ain't seen defense like that in thirty years.
I ain't seen defense like that since the Chicago Bulls,

led by Jordan Robin and Pippen went after the Orlando
Magic in Game one of the Eastern Conference Finals series,
when Shaq and Nick Anderson and Penny Hardaway and those
boys were on the court and they were damn there
scared to dribble the ball pass half court. They were
that scared because Jordan and them were in them defensively.
And Nick Anderson, who had had two steals against Jordan
and basically was perceived as being somebody that stopped him
(06:34):
and embarrassed him in the previous year when he came
out of retirement from baseball for the last seventeen games
in the regular season and then the postseason. You got
this guy walking around like he had accomplished something so big.

Jordan held that brother.

The two points they won that game one, twenty one
to eighty three.

It was never really a series from then on, and
we all knew it. I haven't seen defense played on
an NBA team like that until the Minnesota Timberwolves first
had performance in.

Game two against Denver. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

And that's why I'm of the mindset, like, Yo, these
brothers might win it all. They might win it all
because guess what, I don't see Denver coming back from
the series.

And then when you look at Dallas.

Against Okac, OKC is gifted, no doubt, with young Thoroughbreds
and what have you, but not girth size.

And then you got Dallas and Kyrie is spectacular and
we know that he gonna get his.

in the game. And they're young, and they're tenacious and
they go after it. They were the number one seed,

as the league MVP. I'm not saying that will happen

but I'm telling you right now, Shay Gilgers Alexander got
my vote. I have a vote, and I gave Shay
Gilger Just Alexander my vote for League MVP. Honus fifty

his breath. To his attorneys, it's a very rough day
for Donald Trump. But it's a warning to all of us.
