Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Rob Wriggle. You may know me from my
work on shows like Modern Family, The Daily Show, or
movies like The Hangover, Step Brothers, or One Jump Street.
But what you might not know is that before I
decided to pursue a career in Hollywood, I was a
United States Marine Corps officer for twenty three years. It
was during my years of service that I found the

(00:24):
courage and the confidence to take a leap of faith
into the entertainment industry. And I can proudly thank the
military for shaping me into the person that I am today.
That's why I'm so excited to be hosting season two
of Veterans. You should know each episode, I'll be sitting
down with those who proudly served in the Armed Forces
to hear about the lessons they've learned, the obstacles they've overcome,

(00:47):
and the life changing impact of their service. And I
remember thinking, what are the chances and I E d
S been here so long that grass is grown on
top of it. And that's exactly what happened. There was
a pressure plate buried underneath where grass grown over, and
that's the one I stepped on when she realized you
could speak Dorrin, she'd take that broke off and you
just have to brace for impact because it might be

(01:10):
an eye gouged out, it might be an ear cut off.
Through this four parts series, we'll hear the inspiring journeys
of these veterans and how they took those values during
their time of service and applied them to transition out
of the military and into civilian life. One of my
marines introduced me to a marine who was stationed in
Okinawa who was a music producer, and I ended up

(01:31):
recording an entire album while I was in Japan. I
totally treated like it was the military, so I broke
it down and end up graduating in just two years,
get that four year degree done in two years, thankfully
graduating with honors, I think because it was just so focused.
Join me this Veteran's Day November eleven, for season two
of Veterans You Should Know. You don't want to miss

(01:52):
hearing from these heroic men and women who fought overseas
and continue to do incredible work to serve and support
their families and communities. Starting November eleven, Lesson to Veterans
