Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome in.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
It is followed the here on vsin the Sports Betting Network.
The show is brought to you by DraftKings and we
are starting this hour off talking some soccer. It's a
huge weekend in the prim and some lower leagues with
the playoffs, and our buddy Nigel See joins the program.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Now.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
You can follow him on x He's at Seay Underscore
Nigel Premiere sportsplays dot Com is the website and he
is on the Progressive guest line. Good morning, lad, how
are you today?

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Long time, I haven't spoked you for a few weeks.
I've been busy without without the soccer schedule.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
How are you? You're right?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Pretty well. Let's begin with this one now. Because City
they're a point back in the table of Arsenal. It's
eighty to seventy nine there and Man City gets Wolverhampton
this weekend. What is your angle here as they take
on the Wolves?

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Nigel, Well, I think your matches since you're going for
the fourth successive Premier League title, no side has ever
done that.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
The biding to make history. We know how good they are.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
They're out of the Champions League now, so they haven't
got any distraction of playing the Champions League semifinal or
the finals, so they can go all in and go
for the Premier League title. If you look at their running,
they start with Wolves this weekend, then they go to Fulham,
then they played Tottenham at Tottenham and then they played
west Ham on the final of that season at home.
The one that you would think they might step up
would be Tottenham, but last night Tottenham got beat by

(01:23):
Chelsea which pretty much ended the chances of making the
Champions League by finishing fourth in the Premier League. So
their seasons coming to end. Madison, one of their best
players this season's got an injury as well, and obviously
if Totenham do beat matches, it's either then or less
hand the title to their arch rivals Arsenal. So I
think I just can't see man City dropping any points
from now on those four matches. There was a distraction

(01:45):
of a Champions League final or a second leg against
Real Madrid or something like that, then I could see
perhaps they dropped points.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
But Harlan's going.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
For the top goal scorer. He's been rested, he's coming back.
I just think they're two good. My angle for them,
Matt Wolves Game Wolves have definitely dropped their levels in
the last few weeks.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
They've had a good season.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Their manager, he's been a guy's linked with other clubs already.
He was linked with the Liverpool job. He's also linked
with the west Ham job. Potentially west Ham may avenue
manager at the end of the season, will start next season.
He's building up a great CV, but he's got big
problems with injuries. He's always had a problem scoring goals
and I think some of the key players or attacking
players are out for this match. Is not good to
go to the Ettiad and try to win this one.

(02:26):
They did beat the man City in the reverse fixture
two to one, but I think Man City will have
the better of them here. No surprise on the money
line minus one thousands for Manches City some firms and
some books and minus twelve hundred for man City on
the money line. But if you want to really enhance
your price, he might not be for everybody. But if
you want to enhance your price, Man City to Winter
nil is minus one thirty six or some books a.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
Minus one thirty. There's a big differential.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Between minus twelve hundred on the money line and minus
one thirty or ONEUS one thirty six to winter Neil.
So Man City I can't see him conceding. There is
a doubt about the Man City goalkeeper. He might not play.
But I just think that Wolves are running on empty
at the moment after a very long season, and I
expect Mas City to win maybe two three, rest everyone
and move on to Fulham next week.

Speaker 6 (03:08):
Okay, how about some teams at the bottom of the
table and the relegation battle. Nottingham Forrest twenty six points,
Looton twenty five they play today, Burnley twenty four. How
do you see some of the matches here and what
these teams have on the line.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Well, it's becoming a really good interesting battle at the
bottom of the table as well as the top of
the table. Burnley have become really interesting now they've hit
a bit of a form. They look gone a month ago,
but now they only lost one in eight matches and
I think they've got a chance against Newcastle. I think
Burnley have changed the way they play. The manager of
Vincent Company tried to come to the Premier League play
some kind of attractive football. They didn't work. They had

(03:44):
to make some very bold states changes tactically, which he did.
He changes goalkeeper, he changed the system they played and
now they're playing ugly and Burnley is a real horrible
tough place to go to get a result. And that's
what you've got to do at the bottom of the table.
You've got to make your home ground really intimidating, really
hard to go. Newcastle have one of the worst road
records in the Premier League. I know they're going for
europe positions in seventh to eight. They've got the worst

(04:06):
top top half road record in the division and on
the road they have picked them up exactly the same
amount of points on their road games as Burnley, and
there's a huge difference between them and the LUE table.
All Newcastle's best form is at home. On the road,
they're not the same side Saint James's part. Their home
ground is a real passionate electric stadium. On the road
not the same side. So I give Burnie a great

(04:28):
chance here and they've got everything to play for. A
win here will really shake the bottom of the table up.
I wouldn't put anybody off betting Burnley on the money line,
but the way there's been a lot of draws in
recent weeks and I think the drawers are concerned for
me here. So we're going to go for Burnley plus
a half a goal. We're going to take Newcastle on
their road form isn't encouraging for Newcastle betters. I'm going
to take Bernie minus one ten. The other game, which

(04:50):
is massive at the bottom of the table is Sheffield
United against Nottingham Forest and I cannot believe the odds
that we are seeing for this match. Now we've spoken
about it on this show, about it on Twitter, a
lot of people have said it. Sheffield United are one
of the worst teams ever to play in the Premier League.
I think there's probably only been one worst team Derby
back a few years ago, worse than the Sheffild's Unity side,

(05:12):
but they have already been relegated. I expect them to
play some new players, players who are playing for the
shirt who won the play next season when they're in
the Championship. And the manager of Sheffield United, Chris Wilder,
is a Sheffield United fan. He loves the club and
he doesn't want to be embarrassed. And I think this
is a lot tougher than you'd suggested. Not in the

(05:33):
Forest and minus one thirty five. Some books are minus
one fifty five on the money line to win this. Now,
this is a not the Forest side that over the lost.
I think that's shortenly Na. Yeah, minus won fifty five.
I thinks this is not North Forest side that over
the last two seasons. This season they've only won two
road matches and last season they've only they only won
one road match. They've only won three matches in what

(05:56):
thirty six Premier League games? Only three road matches? New
to bet them at minus one fifty five. I know
Sheffill Do Nighted are bad, but not in the Forest
aren't that great either. Their recent records at the moment
are pretty much identical. Both of them have only two
wins in twenty one matches, so they're both exactly saying
Forests are just as bad as Sheffield United. And I
don't think this is as clear cut as the book

(06:18):
he's are suggesting here. I'm going to bet Sheffield Unity
plus one goal on the Asian handicap because if I
can tell you this intense not a Forest returned in
the Premier League. They've only won one match by more
than one goal on the road and that was against
Newcastle this season, so it didn't do it once last year.
And just because of the circumstance, the line has been

(06:40):
factored in too much. You know, everyone is saying Sheffil
and I have been relegated. Okay, they're really really poor.
But Forest aren't that great, you know, and they're not.
They should never be minus one fifty five. If you
bet them at minus one fifty five, you've got to
take a good long look at yourself in the mirror
on Sunday morning if they lose and things, So what
have I done there? I know they need the points
and those chef which are there terrible, but there is

(07:02):
a price which represents value, and there is a price
that doesn't represent value. And the current line on Not
in the Forest is the worst value you will see.
So plus one goal Forest might win it, but it'll
be a Pushprouss one go. It wouldn't surprise me to
see it be a draw. But you cannot trust Not
in the Forest at these heavy minus money odds.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
Okay for the money, Pili and Mitch Vson, the Sports
Betty Network, the Great no Agel Seely our guests at
Celily Underscore, Nigel on x Vson contributor Ridar. This' recap
by the Premier League up at Vison dot com A
playoffs today. We got League One today in amorrow Peterborough
United Place tomorrow. Total it's two and a half over
minus two thirty. But then we got League Two again
coming up Monday. What do you want to do when

(07:41):
the first leg of the League One match today Boltley
Bolton and Barnsley.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Well, I mean, I know you've been making money and
making a lot of money on betting both teams to
scoring over two and a half in Peterborough games, and
well played to you. But now we come into a
part of the season which is very very different to
what you see in the.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
Running to the prem to the end of the season.
This is playoffs.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
This is what these teams have been building up to.
This is where the nerves come in a place at
Wembley for the winner and then a place in the
league higher for the winner at Wembley. So this is
a real nervy edgy match. Now we've seen a season
this season across all of the soccer in England. In
every league where goals have been higher than they've ever been,
the overs have been cashing. Last night in the Chelsea

(08:21):
Manchester Chelsea v. Tottenham match last night, the both teams
to score line started at minus three seventy five. I've
never seen a line minus three seventy five both teams
has got ever and it lost. So let's be a
little bit careful here. We we're what we're thinking. You know,
can these trends continue in the domestic season? They have
because when you get into the last two mauchs of

(08:42):
the season, there's a lot of teams that have got
nothing to essentially nothing to play for. Other teams have,
so you would see you could obviously youre going to
see a few more goals than you would But let's
look at the playoffs in League One.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
Over the last.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Twenty one years, forty two matches in the playoffs. Four
of them have ended neil mil eleven just one goal
and fifteen two goals. So thirty three of the forty
two over twenty one seasons has cashed under two and
a half goals. Now at the end of every regular season.
Last season, the season four regardless who's in the playoff

(09:13):
first leg in League One. The playoff under two and
a half goal price in League One, Championship and League
Two has always been around about minus two dollars. That's
the price for under two and a half goals under
one and a half. Sometimes is even money on minus
one ten. That is how tight these matches are. This season,
one of the matches is two dollars under two and
half hoss plus two dollars in the Peterborough game and

(09:35):
the other one which is Barzy against Bolton, which is
a massive match with both sides. Here by the way,
Barzy have sat their manager on the final that season
they got rid of him they weren't happy in getting
the playoffs. And Boltold have got a manager who's under
huge pressure. We spent a lot of money and if
he doesn't make it to the final or get promoted,
he could be under pressure despite doing really well. That
this is a huge, huge match of these two sys

(09:57):
and it's minus one ten under. This one ten under
represents a forty seven percent probability of happening. The real
likelihood of these happening in the trends in twenty one
year trends are around about minus three dollars, so you
are we are seeing a season of overs, and people
who been betting overs have been cashing. But this is
a very very different stage to season, and I think

(10:19):
the same price for League two playoffs on Saturday and Sunday.
I think if I was you poorly, i'd cash out
and your Peter Bough take your money and I'm not
getting involved. You've give You've earned enough. Now don't go through.
Don't go through the match. It could be, it could
go it could go wild. But these matches are the
nerves and the first twenty five to thirty minutes of

(10:39):
these games are very very tight, and if teams on
one nil or one one one or nil, they tend
to sit on that lead and try to get second leg.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
So I'd be really really.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Careful to bet so under two and a half goals
for me Barsley against Bolton later on today?

Speaker 6 (10:54):
All right, hey, twenty seconds Tomorrow's the final day of
the Championship League. Usually like to play, but you just
stay away.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
No.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
I do like playing overs, but it's factored into the
price to tear the story. Every League one, League two
in Championship League table for the last five seasons. I've
always bet three threes, big sprices, three fees for teams
that aren't involved in relegation or battles at at the
top of the table or bottom of the table. Last
week in League one League two is the first season
for about six years I didn't do it, and there

(11:23):
was two three threes. So if you look at you
look at the championship this week, look at teams that
have got nothing to play for and just have a
little bit pizza money on a three to three score line.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
All right, mate, great stuff is are we enjoy the
week at best luck?

Speaker 5 (11:35):
What the best guys.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
You'll see you up next.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
I have no reason to believe the market is wrong
by pushing this point spread up the point.

Speaker 6 (11:57):
NHL, NBA Playoffs, Derby picks everything you want. Vson dot
Com Best Bets, Betting splits, exclusive articles, betting tools, and
the betting guides. Get up the Kentucky Derby primer as well.
Vson dot Com get up there today.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
We'll hit the NHL card coming up in about fifteen minutes,
as well as Vson's NHL betting analyst Johnny Lazarus, will
join the program tonight. We have a couple of games
in hockey in two games in the NBA, Clippers at
Mavericks is the late game tonight, and Dallas is favored
by seven and a half or eight in this spot

(12:33):
after they blew them up by thirty points in the
previous game.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
So the total is two of six and a half.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
You kind of made your case for the over earlier
in the game, if you want to go down that
path again.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
Oh, it was great. I mean I was getting involved
in adding so much from an in play standpoint in
the last game because they got off to a hot start,
but it was also the pace and the shots selection
and wide open looks, but they just weren't falling at
the end of the first quarter and early in the second,
and then the game just got exploded in the second half,
and uh and went over. The total. I think two

(13:06):
six and a half is way too low here, based
on what you see with the pace and the fact
that there's going to be so many threes.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Shot, million tips in this game.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
Yeah, and just how Luca gets everyone involved in how
well Kyrie is playing as well. So to think that
the game went over and you got two horrible performances
from Harden and George So the other thing I like
is that Luca is close to one hundred percent now,
not listed on the injury report, and he's good to go,
and he was awesome in the win. So you know,
a little inflated here paying a tax. So that's up

(13:36):
to eight. But listen, they were up thirty in Dallas.
So if unlike what happened in the last game, I'm
not going to be surprised if suddenly these threes are
going in for Powell, Man, George and Harden and they
have an early lead.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
It was one.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
So the Mavericks on the year fifty one and thirty
six against the spread, that is fifty eight point six percent.
Also number two overall in the second best team in
the NBA covering spreads all year long. They are only
one game above five hundred regular season and now if
you include these games in the first round of the playoffs,
the Clippers were one of the worst teams ATS on

(14:14):
the year and also to the under. They're twenty three
to nineteen under on the road fifty four point eight
percent after a loss. They were the second worst team
in the NBA ATS. Now, I know the playoffs can
be a little bit different than the regular season, but
still fourteen and nineteen ats a full year here now
after a loss. I said this earlier in the show,

(14:37):
I asked you to talk me off of a two
team money line parlay with the Mavericks and the Magic.
It currently pays about plus one h five. This might
sound dumb. I'm more concerned within their double the point
spread than the Magic. I'm more concerned with Dallas losing
that leg of the parlay than I am with Orlando.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
Especially if it's no Allen for Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Yeah, yeah, I like that's how much I like.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Maybe tells you maybe I should just lay the four
with Orlando or play them on the money line to
win the game against Cleveland.

Speaker 6 (15:05):
You know, it takes a lot to get you upset,
but I remember you were ticked off last year at
what Dallas did and many others how they just punted
on a playing game and then tanked down the stretch
and sad people. The changes they made at the deadline
and the moves they've made, and Jones has become a
nice player, getting Gafford and Washington as well, but also

(15:27):
lively and just not giving yep's not giving up anything
at the rim. The difference he's made. So what they
have become defensively is staggering and the moves they made
at the deadline, and make no mistake about it. I mean,
I love this Okac team, but Dallas is definitely going
to give them all they can handle in that next
round too. And Dallas Okac for the right to I

(15:48):
mean to think the MAVs were not that long ago.
We're thirty to one miss a very good team, and
the way Luke and Kyrie are playing and what they
do defensively, it's going to be a tough out here
for their opponent.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
I'll tell you what really at the stab of approval
on what this team has been playing like now since
the deadline, we brought on David Thorpe, who is awesome
on the NBA and I really respect what he has
to say about the sport. And we asked him who
the winner was of the draft day trade deadline all.
I'm sorry, the not draft day, the trading deadline day,
and he just without hesitation, just goes, oh, it's the Mavericks.

(16:20):
He goes, I watch all of these players, and I
knew the minute that they got PJ. Washington and Gafford.
I'm like, that's a huge day for Dallas and it's
worked out that way. Now again, this goes back a
good week. I asked Jeff Sherman for some projected Oh,
he's over at the Westgate, very good on the NBA.
I asked him for some projected series prices looking forward
and this one specifically, if we get Dallas and Oka.

(16:42):
See he said, the way Dallas has been playing since
the deadline and since March specifically, he said, okay, see
pick or maybe one twenty tops. Okay, see what now
this again? They swept New Orleans and looked amazing doing so,
so it could be maybe a little bit tad higher,
but that's where he was at like a week ago,
saying that Dallas is right there with OKC Okay, SE's

(17:03):
been the nuts all year long.

Speaker 6 (17:05):
This is also great news for your ability to hedge
your big tickets too. Yeah, oh, I'm with these.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
With these prices, Western Conference will be a nice moneymaker
this year.

Speaker 6 (17:15):
Now here's the other discussion. What do you do in
Los Angeles? You saw what happened with the Bucks. Another
first round exit and they make two coaching changes and
you still get bounced. The Sixers have made fourteen straight
playoff appearances. They haven't made a conference final. The process
was a disaster. Kawhi Leonard can't stay healthy. They went

(17:40):
they had a twenty five and six run. They went
to New Orleans one by thirty. They went to Boston
led by thirty. They went to Indiana led by thirty.
And now they're going to go out in the first
round again. And so now he's moving into the new arena. Now,
the thing is, it's got so much what's like Mark
cuban on You take every shark and add it up,

(18:03):
and he's still worth more than money than all these
guys combined. Balmer's worth more than twenty four owners combined.
So he'll always just spend, spend, spend and want to win.
But what direction are they going? They might have a
new coach next year. The loose smoke is real because
I think Harm's Ham's gonna get fired in the next week.
So if they go out again in the first round,
you you can't run it back. I know you have

(18:23):
the new arena, but what he you just gonna go
and say, well, okay, we're just gonna go hard in Westbrook, George.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
And oh, here's why they're really stuck.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
Everything comes down to the health of Kawhi Leonard, and
I just you can't rely on him to be healthy.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
And that's isn't that something. He's one of the best
players in basketball over the last decade.

Speaker 6 (18:41):
If he stays healthy, you're gonna win a title. If
he doesn't, you're going, which is unlikely, You're gonna go
out in the first round.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
You put it, I mean, if he played, and he's
never gonna play eighty two games because he just won't.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
He'll take some games off.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
But if he played, if he was healthy the entire
year and played let's say, seventy games and he never
missed a playoff game, the Clippers can unequivocally come out
of the Western Conference. That's how good they are. Because
that dude is special. He has two NBA Finals MVPs
for a reason.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
He's that good.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
But I honestly, I can't trust him as far as
I can throw him, and that sucks. I love the
guy as a player, So they're kind of stuck because
of that, that contract with him. So I don't like
if if you wanted to trade Kawhi, what team in
the right mind would trade for that, just because of
the health. So Paul George might be the guy that
just you have to eat that trade that you made
a handful of years ago and you gave up SGA,

(19:33):
huge mistake at the time, knew it then, and it's
really so anyway, I don't know, man, that's a great
question what they're gonna do moving forward?

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Now?

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Side note, you brought up the possible coaching change. You
want Ham out of of LA. You don't think he's
very good.

Speaker 6 (19:48):
I think he's a goner.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Yeah, I think it's way too early to tell if
he's a good, good or bad coach at this point.
Careful what you wish for. If this smoke is real,
they're steam behind JJ Reddick. Oh boy, he's never coached ever.
I mean, that's just that's a huge leap.

Speaker 5 (20:08):
That's why I.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Like JJ Redick as a as an analyst. I think
he's an awesome SoundBite. He's never coached ever, and he's
going to take over the Lakers gig.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
That can't be real. He's never coached a day in
his life. I don't going to start with the Los
Angeles Lakers.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
That's wild to me if that happens. But it's the
NBA and it's happened before.

Speaker 6 (20:31):
Steve Nash, Steve Nash, you're right, you.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Know, so this is a crazy league.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
I don't think I'm gonna bet that parlay because I
think the Clippers can win this game.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
This series has been drunk.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
It be yes, the no show by Dallas in game
one and the Clippers with two thirty point leads.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Yeah, yeah, the other game too. It's it's been bumped
up a full point. I was really hoping this game
was going to be like Magic too. That would have
in my five unit play would have been Orlando. It's
open three went to four.

Speaker 6 (21:04):
This was like hotcast. This came out of nowhere with Allen.
Oh no, he's out, not playing last game and now
it doesn't look good here with the rib. So that
is just what he means to that team, especially when
he can give you a down low and the rim protector.
I'm not a mobile fan, and I'll tell you that
team that went seventeen and two Mobley was hurt by
the way coat with that run. They don't no longer exist.

(21:29):
I don't know what happened to that team. Their offense
is broken, the fact that they tank to get this matchup,
and now we're going six and maybe seven. This is
you know, it just really shapes up to be Boston
even I don't care who's hurt Boston to walk to
the conference finals.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Yeah, Magic fifty four and thirty three ats this year,
best mark in the NBA, twenty nine and thirteen against
spread at home. That's nearly seventy percent best with a
bullet at home. And they blew out the Cavaliers in
those two games. Earlier in the series, at almost one
Game five in Cleveland the other night would have had

(22:04):
a stranglehold on the series. Then I give the I
give the Magic a better chance against the Celtics that
I give the Cavaliers.

Speaker 6 (22:11):
Yeah, this is how how the offense has disappeared. Now
he can't count on these guys, Struce Garland mobiley, Yeah,
it's it's you're stuck with Mitchell too. I mean, you

Speaker 3 (23:30):
We're gonna get Jhnny Lazarus on a horn here in
a second. Who does NHL content on the website of
vson dot com. What is your initial reaction to the
Bruins laneru on a dollar thirty five in Game seven?

Speaker 6 (23:39):
I was reading everything last night from media members there
saying no home ice advantage and the fans could turn
on them I'll tell you this, Montgomery's got to be
coaching for his job, I would think, and I love
the under five and a half. I mean, wall, there's
been a wall. This is crazy. And I cannot believe
you come out and have one shot on goal in
the first Puera staggering.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Really both things.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Johnny Lazarus joints the program now can read them all
the time at vson dot com. With the NHL, he's
on the Progressive guest line. Johnny, good to talk to
you again. What are your thoughts on Game seven with
the Bruins now laying around a dollar thirty five and
what Paula just said were Montgomery probably should be coaching
for his job.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Well, I think everybody outside of Boston is thrilled right
now with that result last night, because who doesn't want
a Game seven between these two teams on Saturday night
Hockey Night in Canada ESPN plus ABC. I mean, this
is you know, this is what brings out the little kid,
a little hockey fan in all of us, right like
at Bruins Leafs rivalry Game seven. I mean, he can't
ask for much more. But I couldn't agree with you

(24:37):
guys more. I think Jim Montgomery is certainly coaching for
his job and lis in the NHL, it's great what
you do in the regular season, but everything that matters
comes in the playoffs. So you know, you've seen so
many teams have successful regular seasons, and one guy that
stands in mind to me is Gerard Glant with the Rangers.
You know, back to back incredible regular seasons with the Rangers,

(24:58):
gets the conference final that eliminated the first round. Job gone.
You know, the NHL has become this you know, I
think it's kind of cliche now, but it's become this
carousel coaching where you know, if you're not successful right away,
there's other guys that can do the job. So, you know,
I never want to root for someone's job to be
taken away from them, but I have to imagine blowing

(25:19):
back to back three one leads in two years in
a row in the playoffs. That would jeopardize your job
for sure. So they want the Ruins on home ice.
If you're a Leaf fan, you gotta feel good. The
vibes's got to be pretty high. And I am careful
saying that always about that team, But I don't know,
this seems like you're exercising some twenty thirteen demons.

Speaker 6 (25:39):
Here, right, you have to laugh. I mean, to be
the first team ever to do this and blow back
to back three to one series lead. Toronto's lost what
six straight game sevens and they haven't beat him since
nineteen fifty nine as well. And then if you're going
to come back without Austin Matthews do and be able
to do this, what has happened to the offense as well?
I mean he called out Posternock after the game, Toronto

(26:00):
staying out of the box, so that's been great, and
then they can't solve Wall. I mean, this is where
are the shots? Where are the scoring opportunities? This has
been three horrific periods, going back to the first two
periods of the last game and then coming out in
the first period of last night as well. What's going
on with Boston?

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Well, I think this is the Boston team that we
really kind of expected, right, you know, going into the season,
there was a lot of concern about the Bruins. You
know that their their center depth wasn't there. Their top
two centers now are Pablo Zaka and Charlie Coyle. Their
third line centers Trent Frederick. Their fourth line centers just provocalist.

(26:39):
Like you know, this isn't necessarily a team that has
a ton of skill, but the Boston Bruins. And I
was saying this last night at Adam Cafsans Show. You know,
there's a culture there that when players come in, there's
a certain standard and expectation of how you're supposed to
play and then do it year in, year out being
a Boston Bruin. And I know, you know it's kind
of cheesy to say, but it means something. You know,

(27:01):
that crest, that that jersey, it's you know, it's a
pretty classic organization, right It's It's one of the first
that you think of when you think of hockey. And
I think I think players take a lot of pride
in that. But this team on paper, you know, people
wanted to call the Bruins frauds. I don't think they
belong in that category because you know, they're not a
team that has a ton of talent, that is, you know,

(27:23):
out playing what they're like expected to do. I guess
in that regard, you know, I think they overachieved. Yeah,
you know, and I think if you really hold me
in October with the two teams. On paper, there's a
seven game series between these two, and you took away
the logo. I'm picking the leaf side every time. But

(27:44):
because of that logo, it's you know, it's different feelings, right,
the Leafs always choked. The Bruins somehow seem to get
it done. But if you really think about it, while
the Bruins have been so competitive over the past fifteen years,
they haven't had that much playoff success. It feels like
they've won more than they really have, if that makes sense.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
No, I think that's pretty fair. It's follow the money
here on VSON, the Sports Betty Network. Johnny Lazarus our guest.
You can read them at vson dot com with the
betting content all the time, every single day here with
the network. Okay, so, then your initial thoughts on the
series price between Carolina and the Rangers. Hurricanes opened up
around a dollar forty. It has since moved up to

(28:25):
about a buck sixty, maybe even a touch higher in
some spots.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
What do you think of that?

Speaker 2 (28:30):
I think you guys are asking the wrong guy because
obviously I'm going with.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
The Rangers, right, I knew that going on.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Yes, yeah, but again, like you know, bias aside, I
don't know how the President's Trophy winner with homeice advantage
is the underdog, Like, make that make sense to me?
You know, I've been trying not to be a homer,
you know, like I just said, But like, if I'm
looking at this in the outside, I don't really understand it.
Like the Rangers to me, you know, they average about

(28:58):
the same amount of goals as Carolina. Igorshusercan is certainly
the better goaltender in this series. The Rangers power play,
you know, was just as good as Carolinas. Essentially they
both averaged you know, or at twenty six percent on
the regular season. Like the only edge you give Carolina
in this series is the penalty kill. But it's not

(29:18):
likely it's that much better than the Rangers. So I've
been trying to make sense of this. Because you got
the team that was the best in the NHL, that
got the whole mice, they won the season series, I
don't know why they'd be underduged. So if I'm betting
on this series, I think you just have to go
with the Rangers based on the fact that this is
most likely at coin.

Speaker 6 (29:37):
Flip under five and a half. Both Ranger wins were
one nothing in two to one.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
Yeah, I mean, you know, I think whenever you go,
you know, you know what's funny. Actually, so the Hurricanes,
to me, they've always been like an under team, but
the Islander first round series, there is a lot of
scoring in that round and last year was like the
total opposite. So they've kind of lost my trust right
now when it comes to unders. But I'd have to
think with the way Freddy Anderson played in Round one

(30:05):
and how good at Usha Sirkin's been since All Star break, Yeah,
I think there won't be a lot of pucks getting
past those two.

Speaker 6 (30:11):
Okay, did Vancouver blow their opportunity here? Led one nothing
with under ten minutes left to close out in Nashville
Game six? Tonight? What has happened with the shots on
goal eighteen twelve twenty one twenty shots on goal last
four games for Vancouver? Can they close it out? What
do you think tonight? Also, I think the five and
a half is too high in this game.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Yeah, it's absolute insanity. And both goalies again have been
playing pretty well in the series, even though they haven't
been tested as much as they should be. But I
also don't know if Casey de Smith is starting tonight,
So I'm waiting to see who Vancouver starts, if it's
going to be She Loves or the Smith. And I
know Demko's obviously out for the series. But uc Saros

(30:54):
had a big game, big performance in Game five. But
these are things too that we talk about, right. Sometimes
there's games within the game and outside factors that play
into what happens in the game. The Vancouver Connuns for
going home up three to one, first time in nine years,
they're really in the playoffs. I don't count the bubble,
you know, so I think the guy sometimes, you know,

(31:14):
I've heard from a lot of former players, and I've
been I've been talking about this a little bit more lately.
When you have a chance to close out a series
on game on home ice, in game five, the home team,
for whatever reason, always feels more pressure than the team
down three to one, because you know this is your
chance and you don't want to go back to the
to the other team's home rink, you know, up three
to two, giving them the momentum. That's what happened here

(31:36):
in Toronto, Boston, That's what happened with Nashville Vancouver. So
I think Nashville has all the momentum in the world tonight,
knowing that they ruined the party in Game five in Vancouver.
And not only do I look at Nashville tonight, but
I look at Nashville for the series. You know, I
think they were the better team. I think in Games

(31:56):
three and four on home ice, and they let that
game for slip away. So they talk about Vancouver letting
one slip away, but Nashville really let one slip away,
you know, up three to one with three minutes left
in the game and they lose in overtime. I mean,
that was that was rough. And to be fully honest,
I had Nashville money line in one of my parlays.
It was the only leg that didn't hit with a
won four K. So that was a Sunday Scaries for

(32:18):
me on that one. But yeah, I really like Nashville tonight,
and I actually liked them in the series. Now in general,
I think all all of them with them is on
their side.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
All right, Johnny, like thirty seconds here then, is that
your best bet for tonight? And do you have any
opinion on the Stars Golden Night's game?

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Nashville money line is my best bet for tonight. The
article will be coming out a little bit later here,
and the Vegas Dallas game, that one just scares the
crap out of me. I'm gonna stay away from the
sides on that one. That series has been incredible but
so unpredictable in the same sense. So if I'm betting
that game, you know, I'd probably stay away, to be honest,
and it's going to be entertaining as hell without the bet.

(32:54):
So I just watched that game and enjoyed the good
hockey without a bet on it. But I go National
money line all day.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Good enough.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
You can read Johnny again at vson dot com with
the NHL Analysis and also hosts of the Daily Faceoff
as well.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Johnny, thanks much for the time today, best of luck,
Thank you guys, appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
Good be good.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
He joined us there on the Progressive guest line.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
We'll run down what we bet last night, recap our bets,
and get into what we're betting tonight and over the weekend.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
In in pocket plays. Next here on Vison easing off

(33:43):
the quarterback without hoping if his girlfriend was not.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
These Kings are a burial couple out for you in
a lush you can bet your children's on board children's children,
honyas I was.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
So good whenever I bet, I could change the odds
for every book to make here in the country. Twenty thirteen,
Boston Toronto. Boston won game one, lost, Game two, won
the next two. Toronto came back force to game seven loss.
Twenty eighteen, Boston won game one, lost, game two, won
the next two, blew a three to one lead, prevailed

(34:17):
in seven. Is the same thing going to happen in
twenty twenty four? Boston won game one, lost, game two,
won the next two. In Toronto won to the next
two rather and then lost the next two. Toronto was
now forced to game seven.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Fascinating.

Speaker 6 (34:31):
I cannot believe this. They'd be the first team ever
to blow back to back three to one series leads.
What was that in the first period you look up
the shots on goal, We're fifteen to one, and then
this wall story going back. I mean, his postseason numbers
are now full marks for making the goalie change. They
can't solve this guy, and he has the shutout till

(34:52):
one ten to a second left, and we're going seven
tomorrow in Boston, and absolutely everyone's jobs on the line
in Boston if you go back to back three to
one series leads and blow it. And the Leafs haven't
beaten the playoffs since nineteen fifty nine. So the Bruins,
I thought they would bounce back and win. They didn't
get it done. Full marks to Toronto Neelander with the

(35:15):
two goals. And now we have game seven Saturday night
for everyone to watch and see right after the derby.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
By the way, tomorrow schedule is absolutely elite. So think
about this East coast, West coast where whatever the derby
finishes up right before seven o'clock Eastern time, bam right
into the NBA. That's a seven o'clock Eastern start, Nuggets
Wolves at at eight o'clock Eastern. You get the hockey game.

(35:43):
By the way, Canelo is also an action tomorrow night.
Oh yeah, right, Sinking to my weekend out here in
Vegas is enormous.

Speaker 6 (35:48):
Yeah yeah. The de la Hoya stuff sure with the
press conference, okay, and then I went for it and
I do it again. I mean, I broke it down
beautifully about how I thought the line was ridiculous, and
I won five units on the bucks. I was confident
one of them was gonna play if not both, And
there was a under the radar quote that Lillard said
he wants to leave it all out there and doesn't

(36:09):
want to have the season end and he couldn't go
out there and play. So Lillard plays, gives you twenty
eight points and they get run out.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Well, you have the title for a day for closing
line value. Oh sure, great job with that. Yeah, doesn't
it taste good?

Speaker 6 (36:22):
CLVC?

Speaker 2 (36:23):
You later? Sure?

Speaker 6 (36:23):
So nine was available and then it went off five
and a half topping was great. McConnell was. I can't
get over the McConnell's story. He was on one of
the worst teams in NBA history when they went ten
and seventy two with that sixer team. He's a big
reason why they have the second best offense. And then
NBA history guy had twenty points.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
Something just came to my mind. I brought up David
Thorpe earlier this hour, NBA analyst he liked him.

Speaker 6 (36:50):
Did he say like he not?

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Did he not say McConnell should have been six Man
of the Year.

Speaker 6 (36:56):
Probably did.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
I thought it was something like that strong with us
a couple of weeks ago. It was I'm just thinking
about that right now. That's how much he liked the guy.

Speaker 6 (37:03):
There's a great breakdown on how he held it together
and they even had better offensive numbers and what their
numbers were like when he was on the floor with Halliburton.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Carlyle could not take him off the court last night, Yeah,
because that would have been a dumb coaching move.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
He was just he dictated what was going on in
that game? How does that happen? I don't know, but
what a story play with energy, But you're hard knout. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (37:22):
McConnell great top and great and Milwaukee couldn't make a
shot from three and other than the not a lot
of help had to open my mouth. Cat was out
of the bag a little bit. Anyways, I don't do this, sorry,
Derek White Finals MVP now down to forty five to
one Caesar's William Hill can't bet at DK. Was eighty

(37:44):
ninety to one at DK yesterday. We can't bet there.
But okay, but still I love this. This guy is
so good. The fact that they should be able to
walk to the Eastern Conference Championship and make the finals
and then absolutely you're live here. This guy's awesome And
I don't trust Tatum. I want this guy shooting run

(38:05):
plays for this guy. Well you add White's awesome? Yeah,
you had Derek White right now?

Speaker 1 (38:09):
What is he come? NBA Finals time? Once? If once?
The Celtics make it? Yeah, down to eight to one.

Speaker 6 (38:15):
And again we asked a book maker, what's the series price?
It was before the poor was it after the pors?
That was after porzingis ye okay, he makes Boston four
to twenty against the Knicks. Nicks are going to have
so yeah, but they should make it. I don't care
who's out. Although this is not good news for porzingis
that freak never came back?

Speaker 1 (38:34):
You know who could really use Derek White? San Antonio
was first.

Speaker 6 (38:40):
Yeah, oh boy. And then we're going back to the Unders.
Game one Sunday Rangers Hurricanes both New York wins this
year two one won nothing. Love Igor and Anderson's playing
well under five and a half and have to do
it tomorrow night too, one two one, three to one.

(39:02):
The last three games in the Maple Leaf series. They
have found something here in Wall. Maybe Now a lot
of people are just saying, eh, we love hockey. Game seven,
but what's a difference. The winner is gonna get run
out by Florida. Maybe, but maybe it's a Bennington part
two here with wall This is great and they're doing
this without Matthews as well.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Well, what's gonna happen with him? Does he come back
and play.

Speaker 6 (39:25):
Under five and a half? Saturday Night Game seven and
All you Can Eat?

Speaker 1 (39:30):
Super dramatic last night.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Had a half unit on a couple of plays last
night with the Knucks Knucks Knicks game, first quarter under
fifty one and a half, they came out blazing hot,
couldn't miss. Reps were calling everything missed that one, and
then the first half under one to three and a
half is tim I kept a buddy, healed. Nobody even
knew where the guy was living. He comes out, shows

(39:53):
up for the game last night. They can't get anything
going offensively, Hey, get out there, buddy. Okay, here's seventeen
and he had They hit that and then they had
to fall apart defensively. Hartenstein got back quickly for the
last goes over. Both of those added up, it's a
one unit loser on those two plays. You can also
grade the Pacers series price at plus one ninety five.

(40:15):
That was a winner after taking down the Bucks last night.
Here's what I'm adding Mariners Astros first five. Under that
number is four, I'll take the plus one oh five.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
I'll tell you what. It's George Kirby and Blanco going
for the Astros.

Speaker 3 (40:30):
Who's alto a great start, Mariners offense, non existent Astro
stix coming together. However, I'm a big Kirby guy, and
I'm gonna monitor this game tonight. Books leave up the
cy Young. If he's cruising along tonight, there's a really
good chance I'm gonna add him at around twenty five
or thirty to one. You can still find on George
Kirby to win the American League. Sie Young not gonna

(40:50):
bet it yet. I'll bet it during the game if
he's going really, really good. Derek White, I'm with you.
Added this yesterday NBA Finals. I bet a couple of guys.
He's one of them forty to one to win the finals.
MVP and let's go with the nameless A's the cityless
As I.

Speaker 6 (41:06):
Love the comparisons to the movie Major League, there are similarities.
Oh yes, wanted to lose on purpose? Move the team whatever?
Huh he's clapping and the owner looks at them enough
in the box and everything. Who the hell are these guys.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
Right wearing name tags? They're a buck thirty two. Nice
job by the Marlins, you know who. They swept the
Colorado Rockies, who are god awful. The Marlins are a
junk baseball team. A's are actually semi decent, and I'll
lea a buck thirty two Marlins have to go across
the country and take on Thea's, and I'll go.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
With that team tonight.

Speaker 6 (41:46):

Speaker 3 (42:07):
It's a great weekend loaded baseball card today, some good
pitching matchups.

Speaker 6 (42:11):
They made a mistake though, Knicks Pacers game one should
have been Saturday. Yeah, something should have happened during the
day before getting Derby.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
Or what you know?

Speaker 1 (42:20):
But when's the Rangers game Sunday? Sunday?

Speaker 2 (42:24):
Right?

Speaker 6 (42:24):
There could be three hockey games Sunday.

Speaker 3 (42:25):
We're getting feedback from people in New York saying, there's
a comedian there on Saturday. I think you said something
like Andrew the Garden at the Garden, Oh, come on, what.

Speaker 6 (42:36):
A sad time in America. Andrew Dice Clay, remember that
sold it out? He was selling out to Andrew. I
never thought that guy was fun. I like some of
his stuff, dirty nursery rhymes. Okay, Oh, come on, dickery.
That guy was selling out Arenas sold it out?

Speaker 1 (42:50):
Yeah, what were we?

Speaker 6 (42:52):
It was like, well, getting Arry the cable guy though.
Right there you go another one, Larry Common denominated.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
I love Dave Chappelle, I love Chris Rock, I love
Bill Burr. You take a back seat to the Nixon A.
Game seven, Yeah, come on, let's get realistic here for
a second. I've seen a lot of those guys live before,
so I've spent money to go watch them.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
I love them. I think they're amazing. I love good
stand up comedy.

Speaker 6 (43:18):
They were gonna move it though, game seven.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
For a Game seven, it was gonna have to get moved. Yeah,
Game seven, you can't do that for a game one?

Speaker 6 (43:25):
Was it four o'clock?

Speaker 2 (43:26):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (43:27):
But then again you got the nine to ten nine
oh five tip. I wonder how the time too, that was?
That was madness set game. I wonder how the whole series.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
I wonder how the audience today from the East Coast.
I wonder how they're feeling. They were up until how
late last what did that go? And tell eleven thirty
it almost went to midnight East Coast time.

Speaker 6 (43:45):
I can't believe they're up eight with two point fifty
after the tomahawk dunk facial yes from from Og and
then they blow the lead.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
But that's that's the way the whole series went, and
that's why I wanted a Game seven.

Speaker 6 (43:56):
Make a free throw, guys. I love all they did
the end though with the following they learned their lessons.
Oh yeah, they played that beautifully up three, So how
do you do it? Had Envied had to commit it?
So he's followed out of the horse racing better Christmas
Serro in studio. Coming up next, we'll have him break
down the Kentucky Derby who was his winner exact try
