Speaker 1 (00:00):
No investigation necessary.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Welcome to Vson's F one Betting podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Its light down, Away we go check his allegend.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Absolutely animal, the only F one handicap you'll ever need.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Michael is right, find up Jeffrey and Ship. You can
only do.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
What you're your hosts F one technical analyst Michail Miranda
and betting expert Ben Wilson.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Oh, Welcome back to the F one Betting podcast on Vasive,
the Sports Betting Network. Today we're going to be talking
about the penn ultimate race of the season. This is
going to be something important but me and Ben. Unfortunately,
Ben Wilson's not able to join us today with some
family issues, but no worries of that because I have
someone important. He's gracing us with his presence for the

(00:47):
second time on the podcast. He's the director of Racing
Spots Operations for Drafting Spotsbeck Johnny Vala. Johnny say thank
you for coming back on the podcast again. It's pleasure
to have you back here.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Hell Michael, nice to see you again.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Absolutely, sir, so F one in Vegas. This is going
to be the first time that the race is coming
back here after forty years, and Ben and High have
been absolutely ecstatic for this since it's going to be
sort of our home Grand Prix. So I'm just going
to go over the odds for F one that you
guys have right now, and you have MAXA stappin at

(01:22):
minus four hundred. Just something that I saw is just
about a couple of days ago MAXI Stappen was minus
three fifty and about a week ago he was minus
four fifty. So are you seeing much money coming in
for maxvistapping as the race winfl the Vegas F one GP.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yeah? You know what that means is we've seen some
money on him, and then we've seen some money on others,
and so we were able to adjust the price on
him lower, higher, and now settling at minus four dollars. Hey, look,
it's no bargain to have to lay four dollars to
somebody to win a race. Does It reminds me a
lot of when Tiger Woods was at his prime in golf.

(02:04):
You know, he would open up a tournament at six
or seven to five, which is ridiculous when you've got
that many golfers out there on the course. But this
guy is that good. He's had a tremendous year. When
he doesn't win, he's second, and he's won most of
the races for the year, So uh, you know, we
have to keep them short because that's that's what the

(02:25):
market calls for.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Absolutely, and I'm agree with you. They back to the
stopman has been in a different league all season, just
absolutely dominating both him and Red Bull. One of the
drivers that are very high on coming into this race
as well as previous races is Lando Norris in the McLaren.

(02:48):
Now his odds have dropped down from eleven to one
to night to one here from just a couple of days.
How much money and how much honey cap we see
coming in on Landon Norris.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yeah, she's getting a nice little push here. You know,
he ran well in the last race. He's really popular
on the circuit. So you know, he's one of those
guys right now who is upcoming. He's twenty three years
old or so I think, so he's he's one of
those guys that they think is the other guys. None

(03:19):
of the other guys behind him can be first up,
and they figure this guy maybe is the youth in
the future of the game.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Absolutely, Landonorris and McLaren have done a tremendous job in
the second half of the season after they figured out
what upgrades needed brain and we've just said since Canada
of this season where they have absolutely been dominated the
track and taken over a fourth from Aston Marson back
to Red Bull. Here, Sergio Perez has sort of had

(03:51):
a very dismal form of the last couple of races.
He managed to bring himself back up in Brazil with
the spent race and the actual race, but his odds
have actually stayed the same here at twenty to one
below Lewis Hamilton. How do you gauge Sajio Perez for
the rest of the season moving forward? I know that

(04:13):
we only have two races remaining, but do you see
Sedja pros regressing a little bit more in terms of
in betting.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
No, I don't think so. You know, if you look
at we have the race winner up and then we
have who'll finish in the top six whole finish in
the top ten, and if you look at his odds,
you know he's minus four fifty to finish in the
top six. So I don't think he's going to regress much.
The question is, you know, is he going to finish

(04:42):
third or fourth? Because that's where I think he ends
up landing here third or fourth.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
So if you look at the podium finish, Sago Prais
is plus one forty with Louis Sampson plus one ten
landing Orris minus two hundred and max for step In
minus six fifty. Now for just third on the podium,
it's seems like everyone else is plus money from Lando Norris.
Is it a closed race coming into Vegas where they

(05:07):
say it's gonna be a low downfalls and a high
speed second.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
You know, this race is a little bit different than
some of the races that we've seen on the Formula
one circuit. It's gonna be a little colder. Guys aren't
used to running in that type of weather. The ground
is gonna be a little colder. I don't know how
the tires are going to react to the Vegas track,

(05:33):
So it's different and it's hard for not only US
odds makers to get a really solid gauge on this
race until we see one. It's gonna be difficult for
the betters.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Also, absolutely, I'm agree with you there because as I
was doing a lot of reseets and trying to figure
out what's going on, actually yeah. In Vegas. Looking at
the track itself, the consensus is that there's gonna be
a warm up lap before the drivers actually get to
go on their push lap, and that is going to

(06:06):
change the game because that means a lot of the
driver is going to be scrubbing their ties a lot
more so, the strategies is going to be very very
important here. If we go to the top ten, Alex
Album is a plus one eighty and he has been
phenomenal in the last couple of races, finishing just outside

(06:27):
of the podium. Finishes above him, we have Daniel Riccardo,
who is I believe in his fourth race back. Is
there a reason why you have Daniel Ricardo so close
in odds at plus one eighty five with Alex Album
a plus one eighty.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
I don't know. I think it's the thought is that
we're going to see, you know, a good race out
of him here. That's like I said, you know, we
we only have the you know, your past performances from
this year to go by. I don't know what's going
to happen in this track, but I think Ricardo might.
The feeling this from the team is that he that

(07:06):
he might have a decent day.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Okay, So both Ben and I have said that Alpatari
is the team which General Ricardo races for, has been
sort of irrelevant in terms of Ben, just because they
always seem to be finishing way outside of the points.
And it's just in Brazil where both drivers actually did
pretty well and their odds are plus one eighty five

(07:32):
for both Yuki Sanoda and Daniel Ricardo. Do you see
these odds changing to a longer odds around plus two
ten where someone like me who's been watching Alvatarri the
entire season and seeing them just keep trying to get
in the points but not get there. Do you think
in my number plus two ten, will we have to

(07:53):
see that reach this weekend as we go into F
one Vegas?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
You might there's certainly going to be some odds shifting.
You know, these were the opening numbers. We were the
first to put it up, and so they're certainly going
to be some changes, you know. But I can't tell
you if his odds will go up, what will do Michael?
And this is the way oddsmakers work is when we
lower somebody, we'll raise somebody else. When we raise somebody else,

(08:23):
because there's no action, we have to lower somebody else
because they are getting action. So I can't tell you
where that money's gonna fall yet. Uh, So we'll you know,
we'll know as we get closer to the race.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Absolutely. Okay, So let's talk about a bet that you
might like going into Vegas. Is there someone that you
like in the podium or top ten, top six that
you are pretty confident can actually hit that with some
good odds?

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Here? Boy, am I confident? I don't think I'm confident. Uh.
I think i'd probably play. You know, I'm not gonna
I wouldn't lay six fifty un Verstap in the for
a podium finish, so that's out. Uh. And I'm not
gonna lay two dollars on Norris. So I think i'd

(09:12):
probably be looking at Lewis Hamilton plus one ten. Uh,
that seems like maybe that area, or even maybe uh
maybe Sergio at plus one forty. I'd be looking there.
I think, try to get some plus money for that
third place finisher.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Okay, So I'll like that one. But the thing that
I have that my concent is Mercedes has had this
very temperamental call some race weekends. It seems to be
switched on others, it seems to be switched off. And
given the fact that when Mercedes comes to a low
downfalls configuration, they don't have much power on the straits.

(09:55):
And while I was actually looking at the Vegas track
on the game that they have where you can actually
model all the cars, the top speed that's actually been
reached by Mercedes is three hundred and forty two. Is
three hundred and twenty two kilometers per hour. Wes McLaren
has hit three hundred and thirty five kilometers per hour.

(10:18):
So it's interesting to see that you have Oscar piastri
a plus six fifty uh and Hamilton at plus one ten.
What is it that you've seen for Louis Hamilton to
be there at plus one ten in terms of the
odds for podium.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Guy that's been around for a while, kind of he
kind of knows this this sport very well. Was at
the top of his game at one point he was
he was the verse stepan at one time, remember where
you know he won every race. So just just experience,
I think is uh is a it's pretty much it

(10:55):
in a nutshell?

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Okay, uh, But the plus six fifty for Oscar Prstree.
I like that bad for a podium face, just because
it's a nice little long shot there. But again compared
to Charles Leclair Carlo signs the ferraris where low down
fast configurations they're good on one that pace, but they're
not good in race trim. So I can see Oscar

(11:19):
Prstree going up there and taking the fight to stage
your prayers for third on the podium. So do I'm
expecting that number to drop significantly as we get to
it's qualifying and to the race. Will we see these
odds change after free practice too on Thursday night? Because

(11:41):
I know normally the odds normally change after qualifying is
when we've seen that. But do you forecast seeing maybe
a change in odds after free practice too on Thursday
night over here in Vegas where we'll be Friday morning
everywhere else?

Speaker 2 (11:54):
I do definitely. I think what we're going to see
that in Piastree. Now, remember of this mcguil. We if
we believe that Verstappen is gonna win the race or
finish second, right, that doesn't leave a lot of room
for us to bet, you know, the podium finish, So
you've got to be pretty exact here. It's not like, uh,

(12:18):
you know, you think first Steppen is gonna run off
the board unless unless that Vegas is totally throws a
wrench into the whole left one and we see something
totally unorthodox that we've seen at any other place this year.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
I just said, uh, the lasson that I have is
I just said again, lowdown, folks. For Mercedes seems to
be there where they seem to suffer the most. That
that that's the achilles hee as we go on, but
McLaren are just absolutely dominant. Can we see George Russell's

(12:55):
odds shift closer towards Lewis Hampton as he's a second
drive at Mercedes? Could that come above Charles of the
clerk you see him coming up to around the plus
one seventy range as you go into Vegas.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
I don't know that for sure, but you know that's
definitely a possibility, but I just don't know that for sure.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Okay, that will be all the time that we have
for this episode. Thank you, Johnny Sair Again. This is
the penultimate race in Vegas about Ben and I will
be covering this race a little bit more intensively than
the other races. To stay teen to next week where
