shine a light And it's also on New Music Friday.
You know we love Fridays for that. I can't wait
to hear what you have to say. A lot of
things happened yesterday, and of course we're going to talk
(01:30):
about little Dirk and the yet when we get to
that first and foremost. All right, but let's start with
some love. Let's start with some positivity. Eight hundred two
nine to fifty one fifty is a number. Call us
up and let us know who you want to shine
a light on his way up.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
Turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to those who
are doing greatness.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
Shine the light on them, Shine the light on them.
It's time to shine a light on them.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
All right?
Speaker 3 (02:00):
What's up? Its way up? At Angela? Ye, I'm here,
manos here are you?
Speaker 7 (02:04):

Speaker 2 (02:05):

Speaker 6 (02:06):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:07):
That's dope?
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Okay? I saw the Canai on the button.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
All right, Well, let's shine a light today on these franchises.
For I Hop Brandon and Shaliza Collins, they were named
Franchises of the Year and their husband and wife team
they overcame a lot of challenging circumstances to become the
top award winners. They said, in North Baton Rouge, in
their community, there were no sit down restaurants. They wanted
to make sure that that need was fulfilled and they
(02:34):
wanted to create a legacy for their family, and they
purchased the I Hop franchise. But there were a lot
of challenges, you know. Brandon said, his mother began having
difficulty managing day to day operations and all the responsibilities.
He wanted to help her and their parents. Basically, they
got into a business that they didn't really know what
to do, and a lot of times we do try
(02:54):
to yes. So they did a lot of struggling, but
then they managed to build their franchise up into this
where now they have become Franchises of the Year.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
So shout out to Brandon and Saliza.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
They said that they run their franchise and the same
humble response they display, and they have humility and running
their franchise, it's the same humble response they display.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
And winning that award, they said, it's bittersweet.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
They've been doing this for over fifteen years now and
it was finally their turn. So shout out to them.
And Black Enterprise for featuring them. All right, Keiana, who
do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 8 (03:27):
Hey?
Speaker 7 (03:27):
I wanted to shine a light on my mom.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Okay, it's Eludria, Elundria. I've never heard that. That's unique.
Speaker 9 (03:34):
I wanted to kind a light on my mom because
she owns a business.
Speaker 7 (03:38):
Called Sweet Blessing Treats, and.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
She is phenomenal Sweet Blessings Treats.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Yeah, okay, you know I'm googling this right now. What
city are you in?
Speaker 9 (03:47):
I'm a Nashville, Tennessee.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
First of all, I love coming to Nashville, so you
know when I come out there, I'm gonna get some treats.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Oh wow, and luck you guys. She got a four
point eight stars. Okay, we like that.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
Yes, yeah, okay, all right, well Alandria, Well thank you
Keana for calling us and shout out.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
To your mom.
Speaker 9 (04:05):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Have a great day you too. All Right.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Well that was shine a light eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty just in case you couldn't get through.
And when we come back, we have your ye t
and we'll be talking about little Dirk. He was arrested,
and we'll give you the details that we know so
far of what they are alleging happened.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
It's way up in the rooms, from Industry Shade to
all of gosp out Angela's speeling that.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
It's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here here, way
up man.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
And the news that we did not expect when we
woke up this morning, Little Dirk, was his alleged role
in a murder plot against Kwondo Rondo and this is
all over the death of King Vaughan. So Dirk was
arrested yesterday in Brower County, Florida.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
The charge is the murder for Higher.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
There were five other men who are alleged to be
members of OTF in the family collective, and they've also
been arrested on charges of murder for Higher and murder
for Higher conspiracy. That's all in connection with what happened
in twenty twenty two when Kwondo Rondo's cousin Lo pav
Was was murdered. Dirk is currently being held without bond
and he's a waiting transfer to the custody of US Marshals.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
I hate the head.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Man and so what a lot of people are saying
is that in Dirk's music he kind of predicted that
something like this will happen. Here's the song Federal Nightmares.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Delie my hy cloud. If I think they really owed
me though, but trial comment, ain't your phone and be
your homie though he understand with his head down like
he don't know me though. It ain't no planning getting
on lawyer. If your homietnees that you on late nights
in the fast comin, she mad. If you mad, did
not mad? He mad?
Speaker 10 (05:45):
Then he blare the.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Credible winning got every call to my keep at home
and nail if you the jaw right off the deep end.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Federal Nightmare.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
Now what's being said is that somebody from his curve
who he.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Was wearing a wire for the past two years.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
I said he came home off forbid and was wearing
a wire.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
So that's the allegations now, and that's what people are saying.
We don't know if that's real, if that's not real.
Here's the song Redman two where they said little Dirk
also had foreshadowed this coming. They asked, you know, some
people are saying, well, he knew he'd done things and whatever.
I don't know what the situation is, but what they
(06:29):
are saying is that this group carried out orders from
and relied on the resources of OTF, according to prosecutors,
because there were flights and rental cards that were paid
for with a credit card that was associated with the label.
So Little Dirk is not mentioned by name in the indictment,
but they're saying that an unnamed co conspirator offered money
and lucrative music opportunities. I think they call them co
(06:51):
conspirator one. To anyone who would take part in killing
Kwondo Rondo.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
They're basically saying that that's dirt, right.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
Yeah, that's basically saying it's without saying it. And it's
interesting because the fans are the ones who are always
like when King Vaughan was murdered, people were.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Slide slide while you ain't slid slid, And.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
A lot of times it is the pressure of people
trying to act and then and then they turn around
and call you stupid.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Call the same people that's telling you to slide. I
gonna call you stupid when you crash.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Out when something happened.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
And y'all know, I had that interview with Kwondo Ronda
where I learned a lot of things from him behind
the scenes about what happened that night, and I think
it's unfortunate because I feel like, you know, people are
losing family members, they're losing friends, and it's it's just
a senseless things that have taken place.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
It's definitely unfortunate period in the game, seeing all this
go to prison and die, you know, you know, the
whole pressure of trying to be real to the eyes
of people that you don't even know. You know, it's
and I get it, I understand, I understand get back,
I understand all that. But it's just unfortunate once you
got a career, because the whole object of the music
(08:01):
was to get out of the streets and have a
life outside of what you came from and to escape.
But we're seeing this is unprecedented times. Man, We're seeing
different things right now. You know, dudes are going to
jail dying at an alarming rate, you know rappers.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Yeah, Okay, well listen, we'll talk more about it and
we'll give you guys more details as we know, and
that is your yet when we come back, we have
about last night where we discussed what we did last night.
I was actually at the American Museum of Natural History
for a panel they have an exhibit there and it's
called Ice Cold.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
It's hip hop and jewelry. We'll discuss it its way.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Yeah, so about last night.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
I went down It's way put Angela yee, I'm here
and want to Friday Friday?
Speaker 3 (08:50):
What did you do yesterday?
Speaker 2 (08:51):
I was Uh, I went to the balk lays Man
celebrated with the New York Liberty Yes, they bought it,
bought it, showed us how what it feels like.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
Shout out to the New York Liberty Man. That is
you know that has been my team for a long time.
Even when they were at the Garden. I used to
go to Liberty games.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
So why did they move from the Garden though.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Well they were in Long Island before that and then
to Brooklyn, so I think it wasn't the Garden first.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
But why did he move?
Speaker 3 (09:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
Who knows now what I did yesterday? I would have
been there, but I actually was doing a panel at
the American Museum of Natural History.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Well she was always on the panel.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
So there is an exhibition right now that's going through
January fifth, and it's called Ice Cold and Exhibition of
Hip Hop Jewelry. Until you get to see the history
of hip hop through the storytelling of the jewelry that
people had from the nineteen eighties up until today. So
they have Slick Ricks Crown in there. They have Biggie's
Jesus Peace, they have the Rockefeller Medallion, they have Nikki's
(09:54):
Barbie Pendant. They have everything asap Rocky, Joey, badass for
Tyler to create. There's so much stuff in this exhibit.
It's the first time they've done something like this. And
when I tell you, on the pianel it was me.
It was a legendary April Walker, you know Walk founder
of Walkaware, Roxane Chante, who was an amazing storyteller, and
she had her Juice Crew ring in there, which and
(10:16):
she told the whole story behind that ring and what
that ring represents and how hard it was to be
able to earn that ring. Pete Nice was there from
Third Base and he's also involved in the Hip Hop
Museum in the Bronx, so he's really like a hip
hop historian from Third Base. So he had a lot
of great and valuable information. So when I tell you,
it was just amazing to be there yesterday and to
(10:39):
see the audience. It sold out like super fast, and
they were like, that's the most black people they've had
in there at one time.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
But it's nice that they had something like that.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
And afterwards somebody came up and asked me, like, why
do you think that they did this on jewelry instead
of something else for this to be like the first exhibit.
But I think part of it is the stories that
you can learn about those time periods. Slick Rick has
always said that all his jewelry, each piece like represents
something and there's a story behind it for him.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Right in these a classic cultural iconic pieces. Slick rick
jewels alone could be in a museum.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Yeah, yes, and it was.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
And just remember if you think of some of the
most iconic pieces, like think about ghost, Oh.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
God, that's in there, same thing I was thinking about.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Yeah, if you want to see that, that's in there.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
So shout out to doctor Christopher Mden, who's the person
that moderated the conversation. He's an educator and a leader
in urban education. But it's all about the jewelry and
how that was such a powerful symbol and hipocaps great.
If you have a chance to see that exhibit or
even go look online, make sure you do all right
when we come back. It's tell us a secret. Eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty is a number.
(11:52):
This is Mayno's favorite segment. It's a Friday, so so
call us up. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
It's a no judgment zone. You're anonymous.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Tell us a secret, it's way up.
Speaker 6 (12:03):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us the secret.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
At Angela, Yee, I'm here, Mano's here.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Okay, what's going on in here?
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Some secret?
Speaker 3 (12:16):
All right?
Speaker 2 (12:16):
To be sold? Well?
Speaker 4 (12:17):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. You know
what it is. It's a judgment free zone. Tell us
a secret.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
What's that? Anonymous?
Speaker 11 (12:23):
Call it?
Speaker 3 (12:23):
What's your secret?
Speaker 10 (12:25):
My best friend? Well she was my friend. What she
has daddy, her baby daddy's boyfriend, and her brother and I.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
Whoa, whoa, But she has sex with her with your
baby daddy. So you had sex with her baby daddy,
her boyfriend, and her brother. Yeah, okay, four, so that
would happen for.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
A bed three beds, three beds?
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Did you feel better?
Speaker 10 (12:50):
I feel a lot better.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
All right, Well, you got it, you gotta you gotta
top it all off by you gotta you gotta knock
off her father or something like that, you gotta you
gotta go crazy her father.
Speaker 10 (13:00):
If he stayed in the state, I would.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
Oh my gosh. Are you done with revenge now? Or
is it more?
Speaker 2 (13:05):
We're going trust your enemies totally? That's the laws of power.
Say you should keep going?
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Are you done? Are you done with the revenge?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
No?
Speaker 10 (13:15):
I think so because I feel little to her now
that she don't even want to talk, and I'm good
with it.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
But does she know that you did all this?
Speaker 10 (13:23):
Yes? I recorded?
Speaker 3 (13:24):
You recorded it?
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Oh, you're a legend, she's a leegend, and.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
You sent it to her?
Speaker 10 (13:29):
Yes? I did.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
I want I have two questions. One, were you mad
at your baby daddy?
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Also?
Speaker 10 (13:34):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (13:35):
I was okay, are you still sleeping with him?
Speaker 10 (13:37):
And told me she was crying about it? And I
was like, that's gonna need to cry.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
It's just oh, so she told you. Do you do
you still mess with your baby daddy?
Speaker 10 (13:45):
No?
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Okay, now that you did all this, she hates you?
Speaker 10 (13:49):
Or yes, she absolutely hates me And I'm fine with that.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
You're fine with that, that's what you want it. I
think you should keep going, though, no, she.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Feels better now, No, really crush you. She does that
to you, What if she's like, now I got to
get revenge.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
He can't do nothing to her that she ain't already.
Speaker 10 (14:05):
Done to her revenge on me anymore, because she did
the worst thing that she could probably do. She was
just jealous because of the relationship that me and her head.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
You know what, you might as well now do you
might as well? Honestly you should just probably sleep with her. Okay, Yeah, like.
Speaker 10 (14:26):
She did try to one, you might as well do that.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
This whole thing a mess.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
Yeah, I'm just telling you what you need to do.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Listen, somebody called taler.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Pace for advice. Yeah, this is a movie, all right,
this movie.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Thank you for calling.
Speaker 10 (14:40):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
If she could put that footage on OnlyFans take up.
All right, Well, that was tell us a secret. I
don't know if anyone can top that today. But when
we come back, we have your yet, and let's talk
about the menandas brothers. The Los Angeles DA has filed
a motion and will tell you what that motion is.
As everybody was on the edge of their seats finding
out what's gonna happen with them, it's way up don't.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
She about to blow the lead ab off this spot.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
Let's get it Angelus building that yee te come and
get the tea.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
All right, it's way up with Angela.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Yee, I'm here, Mano's here, man and let's get into
it with the Yet the Menendez brothers, the DA in
la has officially filed documents asking the court to re
sentence the Menandez brothers. They are now eligible for uh
the life with the possibility of parole.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
So they're gonna come home.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Yeah, that's what it's feeling like.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
They're gonna probably give them tom ser.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
They said, Eric and Lao have been upstanding inmates. They
no longer present a risk to public safety, so there's
no reasons to keep them locked up. They talked about
programs that they've been involved in, Eric's Life Care and
Connections organization that provides support for disabled and elderly inmates,
and then Viva, an organization dedicated to victim impact and empathy,
which both of the brothers are involved in. They feel
that they put time and effort into making their prison
(15:56):
community a better place, and they've been written up just
eight and five times, respectively, in more than thirty years
of incarceration.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
That's interesting. Making the prison community a better place. I've
never tried that. Well, you know, I don't know what
about making.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
You can do that outside community.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
A better place. No, I can help the brothers, I
get it. But that's very interesting. All right.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
Well, family members of the Menanda's brothers spoke out and
this is exclusive from Good Morning America, and here is
their cousin, Karen.
Speaker 11 (16:25):
It's exciting, it's beyond words. We've waited thirty five years
for someone to believe and move forward with the courage
that's been shown in the last few days, and we
are continuing to be optimistic that Eric and Lyle will
be released soon.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
All right.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
Kim Kardashian is now praising Ryan Murphy, who is a
judicial influencer who got the DA to act, and she
posted on social media the Menanda's brothers were granted a
second chance at life, Emma wake up tomorrow, finally eligible
for a parole hearing. They could be released in as
early as six months.
Speaker 6 (17:02):
So wow.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Yes, So that was the cousin that was on a
documentary saying that you know that when one of them
was smaller, that he had told herd it.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
Yes, and people were saying, you know, the Netflix show,
the Netflix show, but it's the brother's lawyer submitted evidence
that was not allowed in the trial, which is rich
Let's cousin, yeah, prior and then another victim of their
father as well. So previously that was not allowed in
the trial. And so that's new evidence that is allowed,
(17:33):
all right, diddy. So The New York Post has gotten
exclusive video files and documents, and the clips they say
that they reviewed suggest that the orgies, which federal prosecutors
say sometimes involved women who were threatened or coerced to
perform hours long sex acts. It was happening as did
(17:53):
He was also rubbing elbows with the biggest names in
Hollywood and music and in sports. And they actually have
a few different pictures of what was going on, and
you know, there were a lot of celebrities that were
involved as well that were there. I don't know who
was involved who wasn't. But they're saying that they have
this footage with it which they've been able to view.
(18:15):
They said, there's another clip where there's a couple having
loud sex on the table as a group of well
dressed people stood around, and the freak ops would often
take place after his high profile events. According to these
documents and videos that the Posts had the opportunity to view.
They also said the videos would be by the Post
are part of the same archive that includes footage that
appears to show did He having sex with a much
(18:37):
younger male a list star? That video has been shopped
around for sale to news outlets by more than one seller.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
So when is that coming out?
Speaker 3 (18:46):
I don't know, may No, I really don't know.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
I'm just I'm just saying that I keep hearing stuff
and I ain't seen nothing yet.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
All right, now? Did he? Also, by the way, has
gotten a bill update.
Speaker 4 (18:56):
The court is allowing him to seek a new hearing,
so he has another chance to seek you're a bail
in his federal case with a sex trafficking, racketeering, and
transportation to engage in prostitution. So, according to Megan kun
if you know, we follow her on Twitter to see
what's happening with some of the high profile court cases,
they're allowing Diddy to put his bill upial on hold
while he seeks a new bill hearing in US District court.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
And that was filed it's over. This is over the
objection of prosecutors.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
So prosecutors didn't want him to get it, but it's
potential now, so maybe he will get a bill, as
people were talking about. And the reason he didn't was
because they felt like he was intimidating witnesses and that's
why they didn't want him.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
To get out.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
So he should get a bill.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
All right, Well that is your yeet and when we
come back, we have under the radar. These are the
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They are
flying under the radar, but you definitely need to know
about them. And one thing that we're going to talk
about is twelve million full time influencers in the United States.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
You know, a lot of people want a job of
an influencer. Well, a lot of people have that job.
We'll talk about its way up news.
Speaker 5 (20:00):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
It's way yu put Angela yee, I'm here, my guy
mainos here.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
On a Friday, God Dan were in the building, all right.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
And people are shocked.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
There's a claim that there are twelve million full time
influencers in the United States. Now, the Wall Street Journal
said there's about there's twenty seven million paid content creators
in the US, forty four percent of them say social
media is their full time job.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Can you believe that?
Speaker 4 (20:31):
I actually can because believe it because it's just that
is advertising, and there's people who literally hire people to.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Do so it is a job. It is a job.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
It is a job, and if people do it well,
they can monetize it.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Learn how to really do it, and be effective at
doing it. You can make a living off it.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
I had somebody call me yesterday about Facebook and about
my Facebook page because they want to start working on
their Facebook page. And anybody who can create original content,
that definitely can get you. You to make some pretty
good money. And we've seen it happen. The problem is
that everyone thinks they can do it, and just it's.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Not for everybody. And you've got to be dedicated.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
You have to be dedicated. It takes a while to
build your fan base. You have to be patient, and
you have to be creative and original, you know.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
So that's what it is, all right now.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
The Georgia Sheriff's Office has launched a state of the
art robot security program. A jail facility is the testing
ground for this new AI powered robot security system. It
will assist personnel with perimeinterve patrols and security rounds and
select dormitories, introducing a new layer of safety and operational efficiency.
So they're doing a ninety day program. And basically these
(21:45):
centees are called sensory robots. They're going to be powerful
and a visible deterrent to potential threats. They have three
hundred and sixty degree cameras, night vision lights, heat detection,
two way audio capabilities. They also provide continuous surveillance and
real time commune medications.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
You can't do nothing.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Robots is coming, man, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
These robots are coming.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
They said, I think we can work smarter with technology
and not harder. These jailbots can handle tests much faster
than some of us humans can and more efficiently. Now,
they will not take the place of humans. Let's make
sure you understand that. I think it's going to be
a game changer for the whole corrections industry because it
will allow us to be a lot safer and a
lot more efficient.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
So we'll see what happens.
Speaker 4 (22:28):
But at any rate, this sounds like it could be
a good basis for a movie.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Yeah, this is what everything that we saw in the
movies is happening.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
All right, Well that is you're under the radar. We
do have the way it mixed at the top of
the hour. Plus it is a new music Friday, so
we'll tell you who has new music out today, new singles,
new albums, and powerhouse is going down in Philly tonight
and in New York City tomorrow, so get ready for
all of that.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
It's way up. She's like the tut like they, a
real Jean like they and Jeal Jean.
Speaker 6 (22:57):
Man, She's spilling it all.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
This is all right, it's way yup with Angela. Ye,
I'm here mano's here.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
On a Friday.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Were going up.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
And let's talk about Rihanna.
Speaker 11 (23:12):
Now.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
She recently did an interview with Entertainment tonight and she
talked about Kendrick Lamar ahead of his Super Bowl halftime show.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Here's what she said, What is there to doubt on that?
It's a diamond on a on a ring finger.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Honey, It's meant to be. He deserves it. I cannot
wait to see it, Kendrick.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
Thank you, all right, we love to see that. She
also talked about her dream collaborator. Here's what she had
to say.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
Who's your dream collaborated like singer if I could only
do a song with Billie.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Eilish, Oh, that's a good one.
Speaker 11 (23:46):
She's so good.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
And Billy Eilish saw that and wrote, what in the
absolute f oh my god, what the f.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Imagine how that feels.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
Rihanna is gonna do a song with Billie Eily and
that's the person who she thought of. That has to
be a great feeling. And shout out to Jazzy's World.
I saw she has an interview dropping today at One
with Rihanna. She said that was on her bucket list.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
So good for her.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
We love Jazzy's World, Young Jazzy's world. She began all
the exclusive interviews. All right, ray Ja is trying to
get Brandy's attention. He posted on social media, Brandy, come
get your baby brother.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
We worried about him.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
They don't speak.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
I don't know what's going on in the strange.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
But she did say that Brandy stopped inviting him to
family events.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
That's not funny, man, But he was up here.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
He was talking about it to raise my god, oh man,
he probably he's probably doing the most over at the
family functions.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
She probably like, ray come on, Ray stop it like
cut it out, But I mean that's what Ray does
the most, all right, Elon Musk. According to reports, there's
concerns about national security and Elon Muck's must's influence on US.
POLTA Newsweek contact contacted Elon Musk for comment, but he
(25:04):
has not commented, but they're saying according to the Wall
Street Journal, Elon Musk has been in frequent contact with
Putin discussing topics ranging from personal matters to business interests
and geopolitical tensions. And so there's a former Russian intelligence
officer who was briefed on the matter that says that
Putin asked Elon Musk to refrain from activating his Starlink
(25:25):
satellite internet service over Taiwan as a favorite of Chinese leaders.
So we're not sure if there is going to be
some type of repercussions from this, but it definitely can be.
And there was also issues over Elon Musk giving away
a million dollars daily to registered voters in swing states
that sign.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
The PAX petition.
Speaker 10 (25:45):
And so.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
Listen, I already know you can't pay people like to
This is just crazy, and so Keith Oberman wrote, we
need to arrest and detain Elon Musk immediately he is
operating on behalf of Russia. Cancel all contracts, sees his facilities,
lock him away in a military facility now at Potus,
not tomorrow immediately. So Democrats are now calling for the
imprisonment of Elon Musk. Oh wow, man, it's going to
(26:10):
be interesting to see what happens. But again, I just
want to say, early voting starts in New York tomorrow, so.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Make sure you stop it.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
I'm voting for Snoop.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
Okay, anyway, Early voting does start here, but make sure
you check wherever, whatever state you're in. If you want
to go online and just take a look and see
when voting is in your area, Please make sure you
do that, and make sure you get out and vote
and vote early if you need to, just in case
there's any issues.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
I always recommend that.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
But you know, we have until Tuesday, next Tuesday, not
this Tuesday, right, yeah, to get that done.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
All right, Well, that is your ut.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
And when we come back, it is a new music Friday,
and there are some heavy hitters out today, all right,
so we'll talk about it.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
We'll preview that for you guys. It's way up.
Speaker 5 (26:59):
With relationship with career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 6 (27:04):
This is as key.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
What's up as wall ye?
Speaker 4 (27:06):
But Angela yea, I'm Angela Yea, I'm mainos here right
and it's time for ask ye eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
We have Alana on the line. What's up? Alana?
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Hi?
Speaker 10 (27:16):
How are you?
Speaker 3 (27:17):
I'm good?
Speaker 9 (27:18):
How are you good?
Speaker 12 (27:19):
Thank you? So my talking today is I am actually
a media girl myself. I'm a journalist, publishist, all things above.
And of course we've watched people like you paved the
ways for us to have these platforms.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
But all that to say, when you do get to
a certain point, the music industry can.
Speaker 12 (27:35):
Move really fast. So my question was, how do you
keep a healthy work life balance?
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Don't sleep with the robbers, stop it, make sure all
of them well.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
First of all, I think that earlier on in my career,
work was definitely a priority for me, and I had
to learn that balance later because sometimes you know, there's
always going to be something that is suffering, and it
depends on time period. Like look towards the end of
the year, that's when for me, other things outside of
work take more priority because things kind of slow down.
(28:06):
So anything that I need to do, like family wise,
I try to schedule it around that. But there are
signs I've had to make decisions like am I going
to go to this? So I think that it's going
to always be a case by case of you prioritizing
what's most important. But I also feel that people in
your life, if you're dating somebody or you have friends,
you know, I think you just have to make sure
that they understand what's happening. If it's something that you
(28:28):
can't miss and you need to be there for, like
a wedding, that's fine. If it's something you can't make,
like say somebody is having a birthday party but you
can't make it because you have to work, just give
them a heads up, let them know and say, but
I would love to take you out, and I apologize
that I can be there. Maybe you send you know,
a gift or whatever it is that you need to
do so people know that you're still thinking of them,
but that at certain times work does have to take
(28:51):
some type of priority.
Speaker 10 (28:53):
I really needed this. I'm sure my friends needed to
say price as well. I appreciate you guys so much.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
Okay, all right, well, I luquer everything on your path,
and just to remember sometimes there are certain things that
you'll regret missing. And so if you can work it out,
and you can work it out as far in advance
as possible so you can plan for it, then please
do that. But you know again, sometimes there are sacrifices
that you'll have to make.
Speaker 12 (29:19):
Thank you so much, Thank you guys so much, you.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
Too, you too, all right, and speaking of work, all right,
love and hip hop Atlanta. I've been seeing this clip
circulating and definitely makes me want to watch the show.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Yandy and Man DC.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
Apparently they were arguing on the show with Jasmine and
her friend Erica, and Erica tells Yandy that Man DC
was cheating, and it turns to this whole big thing, right,
you know, he's slept with all of Atlanta, And then
Yanny said, you're not going to talk to him like that.
And so people were talking about this in the comments
and they were saying, that's what you're supposed to do,
(29:56):
defend your man publicly. But that's going on in and
y'all can discuss it privately at home, all right. So
we want to get your guys opinions on that because
sometimes people are quick to believe what somebody says or.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Get mad even if you believe it, though, you don't
handle that, you don't handle.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
That outside, all right, But we want to hear what
you guys think about how you would handle a situation
like that. I'm sure a lot of y'all saw this
clip of them arguing eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty call us up, all right, Mano is saying,
you got to handle that privately inside, but you got
your person's back, but I'm gonna deal with you later.
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. What would
(30:33):
you do in that situation?
Speaker 3 (30:34):
It's way up?
Speaker 2 (30:35):
What's happy?
Speaker 7 (30:36):
You don't want to know my name?
Speaker 6 (30:37):
Way up with Angela?
Speaker 3 (30:40):
What's up? Its way up at Angela.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
Yeah, I'm here, my guy Mana is here and we're
talking about love and hip hop Atlanta. And we saw
Yandy and men DC getting into it with Erica and
Jasmine on the show, and Yandy definitely was like, you're
not gonna talk to my man like that. It could
have been the other way around though, like she could
have ended up being like what and been mad at.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Him too, But instead that's how you would have handle it.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
No, she had us back. I definitely would not.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
All right, we want to see what you guys think,
because listen, I had a situation one time when I
was out with my ex boyfriend and a woman ran
up on him and was like, oh, so you're not
going to say nothing to me, but you was just
at my house over the weekend and we was effing
and all of that, and he just was like, who
are you?
Speaker 3 (31:19):
But you know he was probably lying, but.
Speaker 4 (31:22):
Anyway, and that situation, you know, yeah, you can't never
let nobody get the other hand on you in public.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
He know, he acd to let her know who she was.
She felt crazy. She started crying. Okay, oh my god,
but I'm gonna tell you what I did.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
We stayed for a few minutes and then I was like,
all right out, I'm leaving, and he just chased me
to the car. He was like, no, please let me,
but I was like, I'm not staying here because I'm
also not going to be sitting around.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Well that's happening.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
But I let her see us for a little while,
thinking that everything was fine, right while she cried in
the party oh man, And then you know, obviously that
relationship didn't work out.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
But anyway, we want to hear what you guys have
to say.
Speaker 4 (31:55):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty ken yata,
what are your thoughts?
Speaker 1 (32:00):
I would just say calm. I usually always say calm.
I kill him with kindness.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
It happens, keeps having that.
Speaker 10 (32:07):
It's happened to me twice. I mean, I'm fifty years old.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
People go through things, right, Okay, tell us what happened.
I want to know what you did.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
Well, there was a woman who was previously involved with
a man, and she kept coming around. So one day
she popped up and just thirted YadA YadA, and who's
this and that and let's confront.
Speaker 7 (32:25):
The issue blah blah blah. And now I was like, oh, hey,
nice to finally.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Meet you, like because he stop, that's my name, because
you don't even know me.
Speaker 7 (32:32):
Like that, he said he loved you, bro. I don't
know why y'all is together.
Speaker 10 (32:35):
He's here with me. We just had but like that,
we went.
Speaker 7 (32:38):
Home and kept it moving.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
So did you defend him right then and there? And
then when you got home you dealt with it.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
I didn't really have to defend him.
Speaker 10 (32:45):
He stayed there.
Speaker 6 (32:45):
He was quiet.
Speaker 10 (32:46):
He looked at both of us like, oh, two, what's
gonna happen now?
Speaker 9 (32:50):
He thought I was going wild out, and I was like,
I'm not that type.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
Of person, right, You're not gonna get me to act
out of character.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
No, I mean if you push up on me and
put your hands on me, it's gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
Yeah, everybody, keep your hands to yourself, all right, Thank
you for Colin. You're welcome, Patiana.
Speaker 4 (33:08):
Hey, Angela, so you want to tell us about your
thoughts about arguing or defending your man in public.
Speaker 9 (33:15):
With that situation where Yan d and man DC's, I
wouldn't have even let me in DC had a conversation
with Jas or the other girl. I wouldn't definitely check
the situation from the beginning, like, excuse me, what's happening
where you know I'm from?
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (33:26):
Okay, Like it's no need for him to be having
that long conversation, even just he was talking to somebody
or met somebody at the strip.
Speaker 9 (33:33):
Club, or was buying drinks. I would have checked me
in DC's on the back end. Don't need for me
to be going back and forth with my men in
front of anybody. Giving them anything to talk about.
Speaker 10 (33:41):
That's just me.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
Maybe she felt like though, but then she wasn't.
Speaker 9 (33:46):
He was all he was.
Speaker 8 (33:47):
He was smiling when they first walked up, but then
when she was like, oh, you don't know me from nowhere,
he looked like he was shook. So if I was,
if I was yandy, I was, that's like me. I'm
the type of person I read the room. I peak
the scene very quick the room.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
Yes, I know where you're from. I hear your accent.
Speaker 9 (34:11):
Finally, the situation of very quickly like there's my amas.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
You would have been like, sure you've drawn you drawn out?
Speaker 9 (34:21):
Definitely getting my bag.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
Yeah, I know that's right. Okay, we love it. Thank you.
I can hang out with her.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
I like that. All right.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
Well, thank y'all for calling on Nasci. Everybody's like, do
not argue in public or let people have that. All right, Well,
when we come back, you guys have the last word.
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. If you
wanted to weigh in on anything that we discussed today,
definitely call us up.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
It's your show. It's way up.
Speaker 6 (34:45):
