Speaker 1 (00:00):
Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
don't know, y'all all looking back to back down, giving
them just like amazing bus things and it's not good.

(00:21):
Steve to mother sty don't join Jo. You gotta use

(00:59):
that turn very you gotta turn to turn them out,

(01:42):
turn love, got to turn out to turn turn the
water the water. Come come on your back, huh. I
show will good morning everybody, y'all listen to the bars,

(02:06):
come on dig me not wanting on it. Steve Harvey
got a radio show, Man on man on man, grateful
for it comes with a huge amount of responsibility. I
didn't really know I was gonna have to be this responsible,
you know. Um, can I share something with y'all? I
started out to Finally I had gotten on track and

(02:28):
was able to see a way to even pursue my dream.
It has been a long, a long trip that I've
been on, and I've gone through so many phases of it.
It is rewarding along the way to accomplish your dreams.
What I'm saying is this, let me, let me put
it together, because I got so much running through my

(02:50):
head right now. You know, it's it's one thing to
accomplish your dream, But there's joy in the process of
achieving it. See, some people are so caught up in
the goal, the final goal, that they find no joy,
no enjoyment in the process. If you have found what

(03:15):
it is you want to do and you strike out
on that journey, please understand you are far more blessed
than the average person to know what it is you
really want to do. To find your work in life,
your purpose, to find out what direction you want to

(03:36):
go in is such a blessing. The average person, if
you sit down and talk to them, oftentimes don't have
their life on track. And it'd be some people that
you're looking at you think God it going on because
of their appearance, their swagger, or they walk like it,
they talk like it, they look like it. But if
you sit down and talk to the average person, the

(03:59):
average hearsing man does not know what their purpose is,
has not discovered what they want to do, and have
no idea how to get that. If you are on
the other side of that, if you understand your purpose,
if you have an idea of what you want to be,
and you are on your way there, you are truly

(04:21):
blessed and in that blessing. You must recognize it as
a blessing. You must recognize the fact that you are
on the right side, and that there should be a
sense of accomplishment and a feeling of pride in you
that you are on track to accomplish your goal. See

(04:42):
what used to happen was sometimes I used to keep
my nose so on the grindstone that I wouldn't even
look up and realize. Man, hey, man, I know you're
trying to get here, but Steve, hold on, man, can't
you see what you've done so far? Can't you find
just some joy in the process. See, a lot of

(05:02):
us lose the joy of the blessings God has given
us because we're looking at the end. Talbot, I ain't
there yet. You on your way. I'm gonna give you
an example. I had a friend who told me that
they wanted to be a million now, and they asked
me some questions and I told him, so they started
the process, and I am telling you, this dude works

(05:27):
extremely hard. So about a year later we were talking.
He had found this business, he had set his goal,
and he was working towards it. Then about two years
later I ran up into him again, we were talking
about it and everything. It's a man. Really really appreciate

(05:48):
the advice. He said, Man, but this is all jacked up, man,
because I still ain't made that million I was talking about.
I said, well, hey, man, just just keep at it.
It's coming. He's a man. Keep at it. Man. You
know how long I've been doing this. I've been two
years now. And I didn't say that to him, but
I said to myself, yeah, two years. He said, Man,

(06:09):
I've been grinding so long. Man, it's just it ain't
having it from me. I said, wait a minute, man,
hold on, hold on. I said, about how much you're
making right now a year? Man, about two hundred and
fifty thousand. I quit breathing. I said, well, my man,
two years ago you didn't have a clue. Two years later,

(06:34):
you're making a quarter of a million dollars. I said, man,
do you understand how blessed you are? I said, Man,
your family was about to get put out two years ago.
You don't bought a house? Yeah, man, but this ain't
the house. I really won't. Ohoa Pardner, whoa, I got that.
I got that house. You really won't make Mike call

(06:56):
five eight million. I don't know. But man, y'all got house,
you're making the payments, you drive it. You ain't out
no more. I said, holder, Man, you got to stop.
I said, you got to stop. I said, man, because
right now, man, you you coming across as real ungrateful
to me. And so he said, man, why are you
tripping like that? Man? Man, you act like don't nobody
want to have nothing but you? I said, whoa man,

(07:17):
where are you going with this conversation? I said, Oh,
I didn't come to you. I just came to you
and ask you how you doing. And I'm trying to
point out to you that the journey that you started on,
that you are on your way, and you are in
the process of accomplishing your goals. And can you not
feel some joy and some pleasure in your accomplishment. Quit
tripping on the fact that you ain't made a million yet.

(07:39):
You on your way. You don't went from your He thought,
this dude was making fifteen thousand dollars a year. You
making quarter of a million dollars in two years. May
come on, man, can't you see? Can't you see? So
he said eventually, a man, I kind of see what
you're saying. But that ain't about nothing to me because
I ran up into him a year and a half later.

(08:00):
How you're doing, man, Man, I showed, wish I'd appreciate
it my life when I had it like that? I said,
what you mean? Had it like that? Man? Just fell
on some hard times. Man, I'm right back why I was.
And then we talked. I said, ain't man, don't worry
about it. I said. Once you know how to accomplish something,
I said, you just reapply the same principles and start

(08:20):
on over again. Man, you know how hard it is
or be to start over. Okay, my man, Hold up, partner,
you can't do yourself like this again. First you wasn't
grateful for what you had. Now you're looking at the
fact that you might have to start over, and you
know how hard it is to start over. Maybe God said, okay,
you ain't happy with this? Okay, didn't handle it your way?

(08:42):
You obviously ain't happy with the way I'm bringing it
into your life. You want to handle it your weight,
Go ahead and handle it because he will let you
have it your way. Can I tell you that he
will let you do it exactly the way you want
to it because he gives us all the power of choice.
So then maybe he said, Okay, you don't appreciate the
way I'm doing it. You don't like the favor I'm
showing you. You think it's taken too long. I'm gonna

(09:03):
let you do it your way. I'm not gonna turn
my back on you. I'm just gonna let you do
it your way. Just just say. Maybe he said that,
and now he right back where it was. So what
I try to get the young cat to understand was, man,
appreciate your life for what it is. Because like life,
Jenny's got that song that he got out off this album.
Still I still believe it could have been worse. And

(09:26):
now that it is worse, what's on your mind now, Folks,
If you are on that side of life where you
have figured out what you want to do, you know
how you're gonna get that, and you know your purpose.
You're accomplishing what the majority of people never ever do.
So be grateful for your process. Don't tumble yourself, don't
throw yourself off to cliff. It's gonna be all right.

(09:48):
Success takes a measure of time. It is not easy.
If success were easy, everybody would be successful. You're listening
to show. Ladies and gentlemen, man, have you undivided attention please,
We're about to begin the hottest morning show on planet Earth.

Everybody used to live for him. Boy Man, Nephew, Tommy,
King of Pranks, big dog in the building. You miss one.
You didn't give me that key, Kip. Y'all got to

(11:41):

especially right there, that's what women do when they laughing
at them. Man that they won't, but he really funny.
Just keep king, just keep over, Just make a relationship work,

(12:04):
and stand up and hold your head back in. Yeah.
I like. I like it when they used to get
up in the theater and hit run to the back. Yeah, yeah,
take off running, lad I like when they start up,
I'll turn around and grather their pants up in the

(12:25):
front and point back at me. Yeah. I like when
they beat the person up next to him. Yes, oh yeah, yeah,
we do that one. You know I'm doing for the
whole table off. Yeah, the whole table off. Everything that
was on the table is now on the floor. Yeah.

(12:46):
Chicken wing, bass spilling stuff. Yes, outfit missed up what
you're doing. It's a lady bud, you've been doing it.

(13:10):
Ladybug is the only bug that I like. I killed everything.
I agree, I agree, But I let the ladybugs. If
you are not a human and you don't pay rent
by a ladybug though. All right, Well, coming up at

(13:34):
thirty two minutes after the hour, we're gonna do a
little version of ask the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve
Harvey in the building right after this. You're listening to
Steve show time now for ask the clo Chief Love
Office of the Chloe. As a nephew calls him, Steve
Harvey is in the building now, Steve, I know you're ready,

(13:55):
but you may not be ready for this. Name. Okay, okay,
Satchel in Louisiana, and as this question, I want to
thank Jesus, my heavily father, Lord and saved. I've wanted
nothing more in my career than to somebody named Satchel

(14:19):
to ask me, so come home, come home. I'm answer
this fully, all right, Satchell says before you asked me
the question, this is gonna be an old ass issue.
Let's just say that you know this hasty. You and

(14:40):
I are the same age, and unlike you, I'm still
out here trying to find the right lady and settle down.
Come on, I got a divorce and my wife took
me to the cleaners, so it's hard to bring ladies
to my one bedroom apartment. At my age, I dressed
nicely and I still have a nice car, but I

(15:01):
can't bring a woman back to my home. I get
a retirement check, but it's not much, so I'm working
full time again. How can I get my swagger back?
Get a three bed room, Satchal, What if you can't
afford it? Down to the bank, She took him to
the cleaners. You can't cut back money on what you eat,

(15:22):
and you can't cut back money on where you live.
And if you embarrassed it, bring them back to a
one bed room. Put you a three bedroom, put you
a cigar lounge in there, and and and another room.
So to look like you bout something, you're gonna have
to spread a little bit satural and get you a
little bit, gotta get a little bit more. See if

(15:42):
you're gonna get your swag back when you get your
pad back, because that's what's slowing you down. See if
that's the stopping point, you gotta cut your corner somewhere else.
But you can't cut your corners on what you eat,
where you go to dinner, and and and where you sleep.
Then two places you can't cut corners. Well, he says,
he dresses nicely and he still has a nice car,

(16:05):
so you think he should good. He just got to
quit pulling up to that efficiency, all right, Satchel. Wow,
uh huh no, hell no, don't give nothing back. Upwarding onwards. Satchel,
it ain't ever too late. Listen to me. How's he

(16:27):
gonna get a three bed room? I don't trying to
figure that because Tommy, that's the one thing that's stopping him.
He's ashamed of what he taking him back to. Well,
you got to spring for mold, So get another job.
He can get his hustle up. He got something he
can do. Everybody, man, stop admitting to defeat. Sometimes the

(16:50):
answer ain't to cut back. The answer is to make mold.
Why is everybody's answer to everything cut back? Why would
God take you to a place and not allow you
to stay that? Okay, get your hustle long and get
you a three bad rule? Ain't no damn. Maybe I'm
talking to Satchel time you ain't in that age group.
Says need to play some mold baseball. Satchel Page, you're

(17:14):
a crazy man, all right. Here we go Tunisia in
Saint Louis says I'm a twenty eight year old engaged
female and my fiance is a great provider, but he's childish.
I moved in with him to get settled before our wedding,
and I have to share a closet with his comic
books and action figures. He comes home from work and

(17:35):
plays his PS five that he got himself for Christmas.
He also has a helicopter on a drone that he
flies around the neighborhood. Living with him has exposed another
side to him. Is this just a phase or should
I be concerned about his behavior? Yeah? You got action

(17:56):
figures in your claus at thirty, comic books and comic
books and you fly drones around they man, and you
bought a PS five for Christmas. That's what man? Hey,
little girl, you don't see that? Okay, Okay, the red flags, yeah,

(18:17):
don't collect them. She go gets dressed, and all the
avengers in the closet. Stupid right, you're right, dealer, do
not enjoy these red flags? Wow, these are better now
than later that Yeah, you just to fiance, Yeah you

(18:39):
walk out now? All right? All right, here we go
DJ and Huntsville. My husband found a few text messages
between me and my male co worker. The guy asked
personal questions like what I sleep in and what's my
favorite perfume. I played it off by telling my husband
he was getting a gift for his girlfriend. My crazy

(19:02):
husband called the guy, and I had no idea until
I went to work and my co worker went off
on me and told me I need to learn how
to delete my texes. My husband and this guy are
mad at me, and it's all over a few text
messages that weren't that bad. What should I do? Wait
a minute? Hold up, hold on, man, how your co

(19:22):
worker getting mad at you for not deleting your messages
and you married? What are you asking you what you
sleep in? Fault? Right? You lied and said it was
because he was trying to get his geffer. What the
hell he mad at you? Fault because you didn't delete
your text messages. Now unless lady, it's a little bit

(19:45):
more to the text message and you enjoying them, and
he sit an opinion here. You told me you was
deleting this stuff and you didn't. Now this man came
up here and checked me. I didn't sign up for
no ass whip and I was just trying to get
a little extra. Unless that's the case right there, then
I don't know what you want us to do. Because

(20:07):
you gave this man your number at work and he
texting you asking you what you sleep in? And all
this here wasn't for his girlfriend and you know it.
So how you want us to fix this for you?
This situation you started, says to come on, gotta be
kidding me. Yep, at least just a warning shot. Let's

(20:32):
ask the next time, Oh, the dude, to the dude
I'm talking about to the dude, Yeah, I know. No,
that's what I'm saying. Yeah, that's exactly what's gonna happen
to you. And he know it too, because he already
called by the husband. Now text again asking about something else.
She went, all right, we gotta move on. Thank you, Philo.
Coming up next, run that prank back with a nephew

(20:53):
right after this you're listening. Coming up at the top
of the hour. In trending news, a prayer of healing
for Tiger Woods, who was badly injured in a car
crash yesterday. Definitely prayers going up for that. Plus uh.
In more entertainment news, Tina Knowles Lawson pens an open
letter to her son in law, Jay Z. We'll talk

(21:14):
about these stories at the top of the hour, but
right now the nephew is here with run that prank back.
What you got for us? Nevuh Johnson's freedom papers Johnson, Yeah,
history month. This is what's Okay, you got cussed out

Come on, kay, Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Franklin.
Franklin Johnson's Lee. Yeah, this is him, Franklin. How are
you doing today? My name is My name is Kyle,

(21:56):

of Tennessee. Uh yeah, how could I help you? You
were you were born and raised in Tennessee? Am I correct? Yeah?
Born and raised in Tennessee? Okay, Now do you do
you still live in in the Tennessee area? Now are

(22:16):
you in a different state? Right? And that's still here
all I'm gonna say, I'm the only consins he's still here,
living good. Okay, all right, So here's what's going on. Um,
it's been brought to our attention here at the Immigration
that anyone in the State of Tennessee who has the
last name of Johnson. Um. And I don't even know

(22:39):
how to break this to you or tell this to you,
but it's it's been brought to our attention here at
the Immigration that anyone in the state of Tennessee last
named Johnson for some reason, and we're gonna fix the problem.
But for some reason they're saying no Johnson's are free,
you know, like there's claws or something and some paperwork
or whatever. But what we need is we need all

(23:01):
the Johnson's to come in by six oclock by six
o'clock to day so we can try to take care
of the problem. If not all Johnson's that are not
reported in by six you have to get picked up.

scramming around trying to get to the bottom of this.

(23:46):

come in because uh right, right now, in the state
of Tennessee, no person with the last name of Johnson
is free right now, get the fun out in What

all Johnsons to come in. We're gonna fix head of
the sensus or something. I'm sorry, are you the head

(24:30):

that we ain't free and we gotta come down and
you're threatening my family, this guy, I'm not. I'm sure,

You know to me because your name is Green. So
y'all Johnsons. Sure, I'm not saying I'm better than you
because my last name is Green. I'm saying you are

And you're gonna have your life and ask for me
my bring my family down. You got some god with nerves.
It's all this tabolism amongst us. Okay, sure, can I

(25:56):

Tommy said, you probably want to call Franklin Johnson and
get him on the line because he you know a
lot of the other job huss and you can get

(27:00):
him all to come in. That's what you know? What
you think you think I'm not. Mother's going round the
ball to Johnson. That's how they came over from Africa

the boat about it was going on vacation and it
came only over here. I'm not rounding them, no, God, Josho,

The Steve Harvey Show with Nast Timmy. That was for
the Johnson Now, I might you know, next time I

(28:36):

don't want to do Freedom. It's not gonna like it's
gonna go right now. Gonna call Tish Frel. Do not
call Frell with all this hell. Farrell out of New Orleans, Louisiana.

(28:57):
Leto okay, all right, with some beeps, all right, thinking
of you coming up at the top of the hour
entertainment and national news right after this you're listening to
show sad news. Golfing great Tiger Woods was seriously injured

(29:23):
in a rollover car crash in southern California. This happened
Tuesday morning. The authorities said that Tiger was the driver
and the only occupant in the car. Firefighters had to
use an axe to break the windshield to rescue Tiger
out of the suv. The Sheriff's department also said that
Tiger was conscious at the scene but was not able

(29:43):
to stand on his own, and he was then taken
to the hospital. Tiger's agent, Mark Steinberg, said that Tigers
suffered multiple leg injuries and he is recovering from surgery.
Tiger recently, if you recall, just had his fifth back surgery,
and we're all just rude for Tyre because he's fought
just you know, such adversity before. He's had many many comebacks,

(30:05):
thank God, but this one right here, man greatest golfer
a long time. Yeah, well, at least at least he's alive.
I don't know, but yeah, I mean I'm glad he's alive. Man.
I love him. I just didn't figure out, why are
you driving and not having a driver? You mean yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,

(30:28):
why was he driving? He said he was upset and
he was running late. TNZ said he was supposed to
reportedly give Drew Brees golfing lessons. It was something that's
that was going on, and we saw Duayne Wade hung
out with him just what a few days before, all
on Instagram. But yeah, it was just yeah, I don't

(30:51):
know what happened, and they haven't said what caused it,
you know, right, nobody knows nothing. Yeah, we just had
to wait. I hope he'd be all right. For his
family's sake. Whether you play golf again, that's a whole
nother thing. But he got them kids. Yeah, but he
has if he doesn't play against Steve that legacy he
like you say, it's asolutely absolutely go yep. Yeah. Everybody

(31:15):
loves Tiger Woods, you know, for how he changed the
sport and everything, and you know he has come back
from you know, many trials and tribulations before. So one
news report I heard he shattered his ankle in addition
to the leg injury. So we'll just have to keep
watching and we'll keep you up to date on what's
going on with Tiger. But in the meantime, please send

(31:37):
your prayers up. I'm sure he could use them right now.
M M. And other trending news. Well, yesterday we told
you about jay Z selling half of his Champagne Ace
of Spades to mot Hennessee. Well, now his mother in law,
Tina knows lawson, has penned an open letter to jay Z,
who of course is her son in law. It reads

(31:59):
a partial this is a love letter to my son
in law, Sean Carter. The reason I was led to
write this was because recently at the Super Bowl, we
witnessed the national anthem America, the beautiful and the halftime
entertainment all being super talented black people. She then went

(32:20):
on to say how she admired how Jay handled the
backlash from those who called him a sellout when he
took the NFL gig and there were a lot of
naysayers when that happened. Tina ended her tribute congratulating him
on his latest venture, saying, you are a bad dot
dot dot brother, and uh, I hope that you continue

(32:42):
to pave the way for others like you have in
the past. What a loving because you know, the backlash
from the NFL gig was beyond ignorant. Was beyond ignorant.
You cannot change what's going on in something from the outside.

(33:06):
You have to have a seat at the table to
determine what's on the menu. That's the part where we've
got to stop being so quick to judge when somebody
make a move that we don't understand that brother, right,
that that's that's beautiful for Tinna to do that, because
you know, look, you know, you get beat up for

(33:28):
all the wrong you do. Don't nobody never clap when
you do nothing right. So to go to social media
and do something like that to to give light to
him and go, man, come on, man, yeah, he's strong
with it. Man, He's probably the strongest businessman of any

(33:48):
entertainer that I know outside of now Oprah Strong, Oprah Strong.
Tyler's a bad boy too, now, But I'm talking about
from the entertainment world. Yeah, yeah, yeah, from the entertainment world,
not athlete, right, But if you if you throw athletes

(34:11):
out there, I don't I don't know nobody bad any him.
I think Magic is strong. I know Jordan is strong,
Lebron is strong. But I'm talking about the way Jay
didn't it. It's different, And I don't think you know,
you won't get criticized if you're not doing something right,

(34:32):
you know what I mean, most people when they do
something right, people come at you even harder. The haters
are out there, you know. Oh, but but it's right
what Tina was saying too. When you think about the
Super Bowl, I mean, we had the Negro national anthem
sung by Alicia Keys at the Super Bowl, the Negro
National Anthem. Let's just let that there, Let's start there,

(34:52):
let's start there. Then Jasmine Sullivan Sullivan did the national anthem,
and then her when they did the guitar with with
the star spiral banner and all that America the beautiful
and all that so black artists at the super Bowl. Yeah,
I like, I like you are a you are a
bad dot dot dot dot brother diversity got the Super Bowl?

(35:18):
You nice. We get to turn into head coaching jobs
in NFL. Yeah yeah, absolute junior and ownership how about that?
Yeah yeah more owners Yeah yeah owners Yeah yeah, make
some business moves. But like you said, Steve, you always
say you got us have a seat at the table
to make make some moves, period. So so we should

(35:40):
remember that, let's stop castrating our people when they sit
at the table. Yeah, well said. All right, thank you.

to you, right, yeah, absolutely, so listen, ad let's get started. Okay,

(37:10):
you guys have thousands of great reviews online from people
that have literally changed their lives with the cleans. Now,
is there one you've heard lately that sticks out to you? Well,
the one I always here constantly is the one Steve
may remember. We actually featured it on his TV show.
It was a preacher. His wife needed a kidney, but

(37:31):
the preacher was overweight and he needs to lose one
hundred and fifty pounds and he reached out to the
earths and he's like, how can I get this done?
So we put him on a program where he was
going to do four cleanses in the span of six months,
and he lost one hundred and fifty pounds. And he
was able to take the test to see if his
kidney was compatible for his wife. So that was like

(37:53):
the most beautiful story. It wasn't a dry eye building
and that was just amazing that one was featured on
TV show. Wow, that's love right there. Wow that is Yeah,
I love that. That was beautiful. Yeah, that was really
a beautiful story. You're right, all right. So add Earb's
has been around for like fifteen years. Yeah, wow, amazing,

(38:17):
and you've sold over five million formulas. So I gotta
ask you this, what do you think has made the
herbs so successful over the years, Because you can't argue
with five million formulas in fifteen years still going strong.
The thing that makes us so successful, it's really really simple.
It works. You're talking about benefits that are between you know,

(38:40):
weight loss between ten to thirty pounds, a huge boost energy,
a stronger immune system which is definitely important now, being
able to focus and concentrate a lot better that the
Earthful Body Plans is. Honestly, it's truly truly a life changer.
And like you said, we've been changing lives for the
last fifteen years. I can't believe as sensieen years, but

(39:03):
congratulations and you know, fifteen, thirty, thirty whatever more you know,
because it's doing what it's supposed to do. All right,

d Herbs. We're talking about our health inside of our
bodies as well as outside, So A d I know
one thing that's been great for all of us in
doing the clans. At the same time, you know, we
hold each other accountable. And I always think it's good

(39:47):
when you go into something like this to have a
friend or family member or spouse. Do you see that
a lot? And do you think that's really helpful? What
do you think? Absolutely? Shi, Look, we have offices now
doing the clans. It's pretty much like everyone in the
building doing the clans. And even when we clean that
the earth, it's always the least five group of people

(40:10):
at a time doing it accountability partner is great. It's
nothing wrong with a little healthy competition to put you
on a healthier path. Yeah. I couldn't agree with you
more when you know, it's easier somehow when you do
it with a person. I'm just telling somebody and they're like,
you going on something? Why are you doing that? You

(40:33):
are fine? Why you gotta do all? I hate all
that negative energy. So give me someone that's in it
with me. We can, like you say, hold each other accountable,
do it and come out on the other end looking
and feeling better. That sounds right. Come out on the
other end looking and feeling better. A d Yeah, the lady,

you know, I was thinking about letting you pick something,
because you know, I rarely go somewhere where you're comfortable

what I want to do is, you know, sometimes these
things actually go wrong. You know, I don't see it
going wrong with me and you because we've had you know,

(47:34):
the way we've been chit chatting and going back and
forth on the site. Things have been really really well,

hold on tight. We got it for you. Here. It
is the Strawberry letter, all right. Subject. I never should
have asked him to fix her sink. Dear Stephen Shirley.

(55:50):
After eighteen years of knowing my fiance, she cuts the fool.
I've been divorced for twenty one years and my four
children are all grown. She's divorced too, so there was
never any pressure to get remarried. But I proposed to her.
But I proposed recently because she's a perfect woman in
every way. She was getting her house ready to be

(56:12):
sold and move in with me. Her kitchen sink linked
and the disposer didn't work, so I asked my oldest
son to take a look at it. He works as
a handyman and can fix anything. He went over to
my fiance's house about two weeks ago, and I didn't
have time to meet him over there because she lives
thirty minutes away from me. When he fixed it, he

(56:34):
called me to let him. He called to let me know.
Then I called my fiance to check in to see
if she was pleased with his work. She said she
was napping and would call me later. I expected her
to come over that evening like she normally would, but
she said she wasn't feeling well and didn't want to
expose me to anything. I thought about COVID nineteen, so

(56:55):
I told her to get some rest. A few days
passed and I still had not seen her. I called
daily and asked if she needed anything, but she kept
the calls brief. Finally, I decided to ride over to
her house and check up on her. The whole ride
over there, I felt like something wasn't right. I got
to her house and saw my son's work truck in

(57:18):
front of her neighbor's house. I knocked on her side door,
I rang her front doorbell, and I called her home
phone and cell phone. She didn't answer any of them.
My son's phone went straight to voicemail. That was a
week ago, and I haven't heard from either of them,
either one of them. What could she see in this

(57:38):
younger man, although he looks just like me? How can
I get closure? Please advise closure? That's what you think
you need right now? Closure? All right. I don't understand
the relationship between you and your son. I got to
put that out there, but you are so right. I

(57:59):
will agree with you. You should have never let your
son go over there, and I really think you're wrong
about why he ended up getting with her. I think
it's those eighteen years. Eighteen years, that's a long time
she's been waiting and waiting and waiting on something to happen. Yeah.

(58:21):
I mean, I know you said you're proposed recently, but
it sounds like it was too much, too little, too late.
Like the song goes, She's like whatever, now whatever. You
may not have felt pressure to get married, but obviously
she wanted more in this relationship, and your son showed
up at just the right time. Wow. My question is, though,

(58:43):
you say your kids are grown, all four of them,
So for eighteen years, she was there when they were
coming up, so she knew who it was. She knew
what was going on when he came in the door.
I don't know how long it took for them to
get together, but it didn't seem like it was that long.
And this woman sounds like she was right for the
picking and he just got there right in time, at

(59:05):
the right time. I mean, I think in her mind
eighteen years was too long. It's just too long, and
she was ready for something else, and he knocked at
her door and it happened to be your son, which
was terrible. But all you're talking about is you want closure.
It's way deeper than that your son. Wow, Steve, question,

(59:28):
here's the letter in a nutshell. I haven't heard from
either one of them. It's been a week. What could
she see in this younger man although he looks just
like me? How can I get closed? Well, let me
start this letter off by saying, what did she see

(59:49):
in this younger man or younger you? That's all it is?
All right? All this close? You won't Yeah, I ain't
got no closure for you. Got some other questions you
need to be asked. We'll discuss the letter when I
combat all right, Steve, listen, we'll have part two of

(01:00:12):
Steve's response coming up. You heard him. It'll be at
twenty three minutes after the hour. Subject of today's strawberry letter.
I never should have asked him to fix her sink.
We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
to this Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is a fact

(01:00:33):

all the craziness going on in the world today. But

attention to your health again, and the de Herb's Full

(01:00:55):

a must. Dear herbs dot com promo code radio. All right,
come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject I
never should have asked him to fix her sink. Wow, well,
ain't got to recap it. Here's a deal. We got

(01:01:16):
an old dude. That's a whole letter. Let's just start
from the beginning. Never should ask him to fix her sink.
Eighteen years ago my fiance she cut the food, cut
the food, So that means this dude is old. Nobody
uses the term cut the food, but she cut the food.

(01:01:38):
And you're down south some damn where, or you're from
down south. You've been divorced twenty one years. That long
time to do anything, married anything. You've been divorced twenty
one years. Your four kids are grown. She's divorced too,
so there's never any pressure to get married. I propose

(01:02:00):
recently because she's the perfect woman everything. So she was
getting ready house to be sold so she could move
in with you. Kitchen sink lenk. Kitchen sink leaked and
the disposal didn't work, so I asked my oldest son
to take a look at it. He works as a
handyman and can fix anything. He went over to my

(01:02:20):
fiance's house about two weeks ago. You ain't had time
to meet him over there because she lived thirty minutes away.
When he fixed it, he called me to let me
know that I took care of it. Then I called
my fiance to check in and see if she was
pleased with his work. She says she was napping and

(01:02:43):
would call me later. Now let me tell you how
pleased she was with the work. She got to take
a damn Now. I expected her to come over that
evening like she normally would. She said she wasn't feeling well.
Didn't want to expose you. Didn't thing you thought about
COVID nineteen, so you totally get some rest. Days passed.

(01:03:07):
Still ain't seen her call it every day you need anything.
Kept the car's briefe. I decided to ride over the
house and check on her. Now, you got thirty minutes now,
because the whole ride over there, I felt like something
wasn't right. I got to her house, and I'll be damned.

(01:03:32):
I saw my son's work truble in front of her
neighbor's house. I knocked on her side dough, I rang
her front door, bill, I knocked on her front door.
I looked through the window. I called her home phone.
That's how I know she all old, because she got

(01:03:52):
a house phone. That's the other way you know she old.
And none of my kids got house falls. They don't
even know what I'm talking about. I call a house
phone and sell phone. She didn't answer any of them,
and your son's phone went straight divorce. Ma'am. That was
a week ago, and I ain't heard from either one
of them. Wow, do what could she see in this

(01:04:16):
younger man although he looks just like me? How can
I get closure? Certain you won't closure. But I think
a couple of things has been closed here, and one
of them is more deadly than the other one. First
of all, I think this is no longer your fiance.
But the deeper problem is I think you and your

(01:04:38):
son's relationship is in serious trouble because if he did
this to his dad, have you and your son ever
been close, y'all? Cool? Well, you'd ask for your kids
to have you been divorced twenty one and where you're

(01:04:58):
strange from the key? I mean, what something, man, Because
for a son to do that to his dad, this
is my dad's fiance. I'm not a really understanding that.
And you won't closure. You already know what it is.
His work truck over there, but you send him over

(01:05:21):
there to fix the saint. In order to fix the sint,
you gotta do pipe work. Oh now, obviously your son
good and handy man, and he's doing good pipe work.
Because she over that sleep she can't even hardly talk
on the phone no more. She gotta keep it brief.

(01:05:43):
She had a breath. Ain't he been over there for
two damn weeks? He didn't he ain't he moved a truck.
He'd been over there two weeks. They're over there just
all probably getting the bath to a fix now. Then
probably had to go down there and get that wash

(01:06:04):
till it fixed down anyway, Then had to get them
pipes running through that kitchen, had to straighten that out.
Then that hall bathroom sink went out. There's more pipe work. Wo,
then the shower need to read piping. Then y'all probably
did to meet me and toe down the shower curtains.
So it's just all popping off at your house. Man, Sorry, dog,

(01:06:27):
ain't no closing for you. Man. Your relationship with everybody
you're supposed to have relationship with it, it's about over. Man.
Seemed like nice Gatto gonna get somebody else. She ain't
the one sleeping with your son. Man, that's crazy, that's crazy.
It really is cold. How to turn his truck over

(01:06:48):
out in front of the neighboring Probably can't kick his ass,
so you're gonna have to do something to that truck.
All right, Jef, thank you. Post your comments on today's
Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook,
and check out the Strawberry Letter podcast please, it's on

(01:07:09):
demand now. Coming up at forty six minutes after the hour,
we'll have Sports Talk with Junior right after this. You're
listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Junior,
it is time for sports talk. What you got for us? Well, Charlotte,
the NBA All Star is set in Atlanta on March seventh,

(01:07:31):
and the teams have been picked. Its Team Lebron versus
Team Captain Durant. Oh Man, this is they gonna pick.
This is gonna be a good one. Now he go
to line up for Lebron. Okay, you're gonna Kawhi Lenit,
Steph Curry, Zion Williams, Paul George, Anthony Davis, Lebron, James

(01:07:53):
Lebron's upset that Devin Booker did not even get selected
from the Phoenix Suns. That's on the West now hit Yeah, yeah,
you don't get you into the if he's cute, sure,
we don't even look at that. We don't come on
man with the Yeah, yeah, Kyrie Irvin for the East.

(01:08:16):
The Greek Freak is also all star Joe embed and
Bradley Bill and other reserves are Zach Levine, James Harden,
Jaylen Brown, Ben Simmons, Jason Tatum, and Julius Randall. Now
out of that, out of them, two sets, on who
we got. If A d was healthy, I go with
the West, but he reserved. Yeah, he is a reserved

(01:08:40):
hes playing, he's not playing, I mean, but I'd go
with the Kawhi Lennard Paul George Zion. Yeah, boy stop, yeah,
we gotta go to West. I'm going to Lebron, Yeah, Lebron,
now Kevin, then Cole because he got Kyrie and Aimes. Hardened, Yeah,

(01:09:01):
that's the one I don't like. Why he get to
be an All Star? Why Hardened get to be an Austar?
Why because he was hard no ball? Ye forget that?
Forget that. Why why is he on that he a
ball or junior here? Reserved too though? Top scores because
he wanted the top scores in the league. I know,

(01:09:22):
But he left Houston. Why is we rooting for him
to be an All Star? Root for nobody? In a minute,
just hang on, I'm telling you right now. I see
I hadn't seen this before. Y'all fit to be clean?
I don't think so. From my understanding, I think Jay
Z's gonna step in because his wife is from Houston

(01:09:42):
and he wants said about that. Well, we put it
out there and he hid. Then maybe he thinks about it.
Doesn't give damn about Houston, New York Brooklyn. Okay, he
spending quarter in Houston. Well, they're gonna be at Atlanta
man March seven, So this is gonna be nice in Atlanta.
It's going to be probably another supers pretty events for COVID.

(01:10:03):
I don't know because from my house, please wear your mask,
Please wear your masks people. Yeah, coming up, Well, well
we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
All right, guys, the grand jury has decided not to

(01:10:27):
indict the Rochester police officers in the killing of Daniel Prude.
Now you remember back in March of last year when
the police arrived on the scene. Daniel Prude was naked.
He was having a mental health crisis incident, and the
Rochester police put him in a chokehold. Then they pinned
him to the ground and placed a spithood over his head.

(01:10:49):
Rochester community leaders say there's there, definitely needs to be
more police reform and new training for law enforcement. The
police officers say they now want their jobs back. What yeah, yeah,
well yeah, you know, where's the case compassion? There's none.

(01:11:10):
There's just there's not even a black man come on, yeah,
no apology, nothing, We just want our jobs. This is
not the America we live in. Remember that, you remember, Yeah,
that's what to keep saying they were saying that after
the insurrection on January sixth, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, And

(01:11:34):
you know, it goes on, it keeps going. Also in Aurora, Colorado,
results from an independent investigation accused the police and paramedics
of wrongdoing in the death of twenty three year old
Elijah McClain now McLean died back in twenty nineteen. This
was after police put him in a chokehold and then
the paramedics came in and injected him with a sedative

(01:11:58):
because they thought he posed the threat. They thought he
posed a threat. Now, the police chief has apologized to
the family, but two of the officers have not been
disciplined or criminally prosecuted for Elijah mcclin's death. The family
wants a police and ems held accountable for Elijah's death.

(01:12:18):
And that's the other thing. No one ever gets held accountable.
You know, well, I don't, I don't know. When When
is it that people are unruly? You arrest him? Okay,
you coffy, what's the sedative for? Who made that decision? Right? When?
When is that part of policing? Exactly, Steve in the
amount of sedative this this young man, Elijah mcclin was

(01:12:41):
a very thin man. It's very thin. So the amount
of the sedative that they gave him, they misjudged. The paramedics.
I think they're admitting to misjudging his height and weight size.
So it was too much misjudging right there. Yeah, you
know you can't but thought he posted a threat somebody's

(01:13:05):
life because you can't weigh and measure yeah, right right, Yeah,
Now this person is gone because and but when is
giving sedatives a part of an arrest? I don't understand.
Man is involved apparently, and that's the only time. Yeah,

(01:13:25):
you know, they had no right to stop him, They
had no right to stop him. And then you give
him the sedative, you give him too much and he's dead. Yeah,
and no one's being held accountable. Yeah, no one. You're
not charging the police at all. It's the same thing. Yeah,

(01:13:45):
all they do. Yeah, the police did apologize to the family,
but they the police officers, like I said, haven't been disciplined.
They haven't been criminally prosecuted nothing. And if they are,
you know, you can bet what the outcome is going
to be. No charges. I can't even tell you. As

(01:14:06):
a black man, I know, just sick and tired of
you We're exhausted behind this, absolutely absolutely, and you don't
know when it can. It could be you at any time,
any time, any given day, Tommy, anything happened to you,
then that's a shame every single day. Yep. As a

(01:14:29):
black man, and if you ain't thinking about it, you
got to hear about it. Hello. And as a black woman,
Shirley Sandra Bland's right, you're right, you're right. Wow, uh
you know we we I don't know. We just need
to do justice. Yeah, no, justice, right. Black lives do matter.

(01:14:52):
That's why these organizations come about because of situations like this. Um,
we'll have of today's trending stories on the Steve Harvey
Morning Show at twenty minutes after right after this you're
listening to show, all right. So I never knew this,

(01:15:13):
but Halle Berry's first kiss was with a girl. Um wow, yeah,
Hallie said that yours too. Junior Alie said she had
her best friend teach her how to kiss so she
could kiss her boyfriend at the time, and his name
was Lashawn Boy. Okay, so when asked to compare the

(01:15:37):
two experiences, Lashawn was the one to okay. Yeah. She
talks about that on her podcasts. Yeah, yeah she does. Yeah, So, Steve,
I gotta ask you, who was your first kiss and
did you like it? Yeah? Mine was with a girl too,

(01:16:00):
she was hands down. Well, my first kiss really was
forced on me. Gwen Harris did it to me. She
made me. What happened, well the health I was riding
my bike and uh, I real she was big, and
she said, come and bring your little punk ass over him.
And I was scared of and I tried to ride off,

(01:16:21):
and she pushed me and I failed, and she picked
me up and set on my bike and then grabbed
me by up onto my coloniar put a tongue in
my mouth. All I wanted was my damn bike. Backs
off my bike. I want no tan kiss for you.
All right, we'll have more. Thank you for that, More

(01:16:44):
of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty
three minutes. Man about that. Yeah, we'll be back. You're
listening show, all right. So our last break, Steve told
us about his first kiss after we did a story
about how Barry's first kiss. So Steve's first kiss was
kind of forced on him by a girl in his neighborhood. So, Junior,

(01:17:08):
what was yours? Like? I ain't was Joy Harris. Don't
you remember her name? Yeah, Joy Harry. She kissed me
that morning, but it was kissing my best friend Rashan
that afternoon, so it really wasn't like it was really
like my first kiss. It was our first kiss because
she was busy. Yeah, she was busy, like she'll like
me afternoon. But that afternoon she was with Seun. Now

(01:17:29):
I saw hook kiss him. Now we're fighting, So it
was first kiss for me. She liked the best. Yeah,
I see you know, okay, Yeah, that was all right,
thank you, junior um. All right, here we go, all right, nephew.
Who was your first kiss? What was her name? Londa Greed?

(01:17:56):
I played. I played baseball with her brother Darren. After
practice one day, a brother had went on to the car,
his mom was picking him up. She was kind of
walking slow and me and her were just talking and
walking into the parking lot and just snatched me by
my jersey man and kissing me. I didn't know what
the hell was going on. It It was where are

(01:18:17):
you coming? Maybe it's seventh grade, sixth grade, seventh grade, okay, okay,
I ain't know what I was doing, didn't know what
I posed to do. Yeah. Really those girls were aggressive. Yeah,
and I can't say this too. I said it's to
joy if if if Joy, If you're listening right now,

(01:18:37):
I'll take you down to the candle lated house and
I want my money back for them penny candys that.
I just want to put that on the record. Place
still bitter about that, Junior. Surely all morning along, picking
flowers and everything to get this kiss. I finally get
the kiss. I turned around, afternoon, You kissing Racheon in
the mouth? What is this? Wow? I never I never

(01:18:59):
kissed the guy. I never did that when I was growing,
you know, snatching about about a jersey and pulled him
my first kids. Yeah, but it wasn't because I grabbed
someone and did that. No, I didn't do that, Sirley,
What was your first kiss? What was a god's name?
His name was Mitchell Hood? He was His name was
Mitchell Hood, Mitchell Hood, that was his first name, his name,

(01:19:24):
And yeah, we were in grammar school and he kissed me.
It was It was fun grammar school. It was fun. Yeah,
we were in grammar school. Grandma, I remember that. Yeah,
who called Byron? I can't think it was twisting seventh grade?

(01:19:45):
It was Byron. I can't think of his last name.
I know obviously eleven, sixth grade. It was at church
vacation Bible school. We was outside and church, sitting on
the sitting on church ground. Vacation. Bob's good. I loved vacation.
It was outside all right, all right, listen coming up

(01:20:09):
our last break of the day and some closing remarks
from the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine
minutes after right after this you're listening show. All right, guys,
here we are our last break of the day on
this Wednesday. It's been a good day. Yeah, humpday, Wednesday.
It's been a good day. Hump day. Yeah, you're good.

(01:20:34):
February huh, yeah, you know, I've just been working out,
trying hard. You know, I created this song, created this
new program. Wan't to introduce. Oh it's pretty good, though.
I don't want to give away the name because people
start trying to fun of you, and oh no, I've
already got the domain, so you can try to if

(01:20:55):
you won't toe Oh. On the radio, we used to
say stuff and people hear them put the domain or
we learned real quick from that down there dot com. Yeah, yeah,
so I learned that a while back. I don't do that,
but you know, I'm really focusing on fitness, man, and

(01:21:16):
how to help people in my generation to at least
consider making the time you have, you know, just valuable,
because all we have. Your two greatest commodities is time
and health. Right, if you're to either one of them,
you're in trouble. So I think if we focus on

(01:21:37):
whatever time we got left being as health as we can,
you can have a more enriched life. And you know,
you can actually do some things to fight off the
aging process. Now, what you cannot do is sit there
and just let age come take you away, because it's
your will. Yeah, you know, man, But you gotta be active.

(01:21:59):
You gotta do some movement. You gotta try to stay tuned.
You know, you gotta get active. You gotta just it's
a lot of little stuff you can do to just
help with your agility. The way you get up out
your chair, you know, the way you get up out
the floor, if you playing with your grandkids or something,
you know, how you get up and move with him.

(01:22:20):
It's way used to do that. And I've just been
uncovering through all I've invested a lot of money in
my health recently because I was talking with a guy
and this guy he doesn't you know, he's doing really well.
You know, I think this guy probably makes I would

(01:22:44):
I would say probably he makes a good letter. Let
me just say that. And I was talking to him
one day and he says, yeah, man, I really spend
money to invest in my health. And we were just
talking and somebody asking, well, how much you spend? He said,
I spend about three hundred thousand dollars a year, and
I wherever all of us went, wow, he spend three

(01:23:08):
hundred grand a year? He said yeah, he said, O
my health. He said, Steve, I'm about you spend. I said,
this show ain't three hundred. He said, well, why would
you not? And I said three hundred a lot? He said,
what do you have this more important than your health?

(01:23:30):
So I said, what are you spending three hundred grand off?
So he said my trainer, my shelf nutritionist, my blood work,
my doctors, my yoga instructor, my stretcher and you know,
did I say personal trainer? Did? So? He spends his
money on those stakes. And I went, really, he said, yeah, man,

(01:23:55):
I got somebody who I paid to cook all my
meals for me full time, seven days a week, so
I don't have to worry about it. I do want
blood work, I said, three hundred thousand. He said yeah,
he said, Steve, what do you have this more important
than your health? And after I thought about that, I said, man,
I gotta start investing in my health. So what I

(01:24:18):
did was I found a way that you could get
all of this stuff that I pay a lot more
money for. And I found the affordable way to get
it done. Because anybody got three hundred thousand for the health.
If you don't make three hundred thousand dollars a year,
well why how are you going to spend three hundred thousand. Yeah,

(01:24:40):
I care about your health. I ain't gonna be all
the way healthy, right, So you have an affordable way, right, Steve.
For everybody found an affordable way to get it done
where you can get the same benefits. You may not
have that personal one on one care, but you just

(01:25:03):
need the information. And I'm gonna slowly start talking about
that and releasing it out to the public. Man. And
I think what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna I'm
gonna do it free on Facebook. I think I'm gonna
go Facebook Live to give you the information. Now you

(01:25:26):
got to you gotta go pay for the products and stuff.
But I'm gonna give you the information that I've spent
a lot of money. I spent way more. Trust me,
a research as well, Oh man, I've I've got doctors
specialists who have taught me so many things that I

(01:25:47):
never knew, and all because a friend of mine told
me he was spending three hundred thousand on his health.
And I said, wait a minute, man, And you know it,
don't It don't guarantee that you're gonna live forever. It
doesn't do that. But what it does guarantee is that
you have a better quality of life with whatever time
you got. And if the ride that I got left,

(01:26:11):
however long it is, can be smoother, right, I'm gonna
take that chance, man. So I want y'all to just
stay aware. I'm gonna bring it to you in a
little while. First I'm started, as you know, free out
on Facebook, just to start introducing people to it. It no,
I mean it's already developed it Oh no, I'm not

(01:26:33):
developing the products. Okay, everything is ready to go. Now
I'm gonna have some workout stuff that I'm working on
and some gear. But the program it's already done. I
just think people don't know what tests to take that
can benefit you. So all right, yeah, it's outlive us

(01:27:00):
all and on that night, Thank you and have a
great day for all. Steve Harvey Contests No purchase necessary,
