I've been staying busy and it's great to see you. Jason.

Speaker 7 (01:46):
Guys, I've going back to my producing roots and I

Speaker 3 (01:51):
I am the executive.

Speaker 7 (01:52):
Producer of the first ever Peter Schrager Roast.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Coming up on Netflix. It's going to happen.

Speaker 7 (01:58):
It's in Borgata, The Borgata in Atlantic City on NFL
Kickoff Night.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Jeff Roast will mc out on the days. So we've got.

Speaker 7 (02:05):
Sean McVay, Colin Coward, Cliff Kingsbury, Matt Lafleur, we got
Dangel Williams.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
He's going to show up and a lot of GMF remembers.
So it's going to be a great night.

Speaker 7 (02:14):
Peter, you're the star, buddy, I'm the producer.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
It's all about you. I've the pressed the Burgatta. I
thought it's like the Clarage Resorts. I'll take the Burgana.
That's nice, that's good living. I'll take you. Yes, we'll make.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Sure I extend the invitation to Cliff Kingsbury that he's
here in DC.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
I got you.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
But you know what, it's time for the lead block.
Let's talk about NF that already no, she ready for this.
Six games already released, seeing them here now. Opening night
September fifth, Ravens at Chiefs. Yes, that is the rematch
of the AFC Championship game. The following night Packers and
Eagles in Brazil. Then the first Sunday Cowboys and Browns

(02:53):
on Fox. Monday Night Football is Jets and forty nine Ers,
and Week two Bill's at Dolphins the first game on
Thursday Night Football on Amazon. And Sunday we have Bangal
visiting the Chiefs on CBS. All right, so a little
stamblue that we've already had a bit of a taste
of first impressions, though, Peter, what you think of games

(03:14):
that we already know we have on our schedule.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
You know, it's interesting.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Who's gonna be the kickoff game is one of the
big question marks we have in the weeks leading up
to this, and I think a lot of people thought
it would be the Houston Texans because last year it
was the Lions. It was like, who's that ascending team,
that hot team that everyone's like, Okay, they're gonna be
this sexy Super Bowl pick. But the NFL did not
waste any time, and they're like, let's just bring it
back to the AFC Championship game. We're going Ravens versus Chiefs.

(03:37):
And if you remember, Zay Flowers was on the goal
line and Lugerious sneed just pokes it loose. Fumbling the
ball would have cut the score to seven. What could
have been had that play not happened. Mahomes and Kelsey
outplayed Lamar and everybody remember the Ravens only ran the
ball eight times in that game after running the ball
down team's throats. I cannot wait to see that game
Week one in Arrowhead. Last year it was in Baltimore

(04:00):
this year. It's an arrowhead And of course the NFL says,
we're not wasting any time. Let's go, but you game
rematch right out of the gates.

Speaker 7 (04:06):
I just want to see where Justin Tucker's going to
set up his kicking t Peter.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Like that's a big story, Like that's a thing.

Speaker 7 (04:11):
Like Kelsey's gonna throw it in the stands again. You
know what else is a big story.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
I'm already I hate to say this and start to
show this way.

Speaker 7 (04:18):
I'm already annoyed by certain pockets of Jets fans. Why
don't I see people online and even on TV wetting
their pants that the Jets have to open up at
San Francisco on Monday night Week one, guys, what did you.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Think was gonna happen? And they're gonna put you at.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
Carolina at one pm on Sunday. You guys have been
saying how loaded you are, how great your defense is,
for a month.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
So go play.

Speaker 7 (04:39):
Are you really surprised you have an extremely famous four
time MVP quarterback whoeveryone is dying to see recover.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
He's from the Bay. If you heard it's a fit, I.

Speaker 7 (04:50):
Don't know if Rogers talked about this with Tucker Carlson.
Jason can fill me in, and I haven't listened yet.
I know they talked about everything else. So honestly, though, guys,
Jets fans, if you lose twenty seven to twenty one
to the Niners on the road.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Who cares?

Speaker 7 (05:03):
There'll be no wrath, don't we no repercussions. They're good
tough spot. You kind of get a pass.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
What you don't want is Week one at home against
the Dolphins.

Speaker 7 (05:11):
Let's say in that pressure cooker, stress house and you
lose that one. And by the way, Jets fans, the
Shanahan forty nine ers, they lost week ones of the
Justin Fields Bears. They lost weak ones to the Kyler
Murray Cardinals. Maybe you can handle them with the Aaron
Rodgers Jets. For the love of God, have some confidence
in yourself for once, please, Jason, what are you looking at?

Speaker 6 (05:30):
I can't fill you in on that interview. I've just
got through the beginning of it. I'm working through the militia.
When I finish it, I will send you a text
and we'll go through all of it bit by bit.
I'm looking at the Amazon Prime game that is going
to be their first. One is Miami Dolphins and it
is Buffalo Bills. We know this rivalry has been happening.
There's twa tongue by lower, there's Josh Allen. Last year

(05:51):
it was all for that home field advantage in the playoffs.
And this game is starting out in Miami early on
in the season. If you remember two years ago these
two teams played in it was an afternoon game and
Buffalo was pissed off at just since it was too
hot in Miami. Well, it's going to be a night game.
Al Michaels is thrilled. He's had to get us through
some games. He's done God's work. This one should be

(06:13):
a great game. Pamman Ker, hearbtree on the call. Should
be fantastic. I can't wait to see these two teams
go out of another division, rivals starting all I love
this Amazon Prime Thursday night football getting started the right
way this season.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
All right, well, getting started tonight eight pm Eastern. The
full schedule release will be announced right here on NFL Network.
Shregg's which game that hasn't been announced yet? Are you
looking forward to most?

Speaker 4 (06:38):
I think one of the best games played in the
entire twenty twenty three season was in the playoffs in
the wildcard round. That Sunday night game between the Rams
and the Lions. As it is slated right now, that
game will be back in Detroit. I'm going to say
Rams at Lions and running it back from a game
that Puka Nakua was unstoppable until the very end when
Jared Goff got the necessary conversions and first downs to

(06:59):
win that game. I'll never forget Mike Turco and his
ode to Detroit. In fact, we have the clip in
the final minute after the Lions won their first home
playoff game in nearly thirty years.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
The last playoff win was up in Pontiac.

Speaker 8 (07:15):
It's the first win in Detroit since the fifty seven
championship in the downtown city limits. And Jared Guff, as
you said so well Chris towards the end, as he
has welcomed into the locker room at the end, he
kind of embodies a lot of what this team is
and what this city is overcoming adversus.

Speaker 9 (07:34):
They came out, they were channing his name before they
even snapped the ball tonight. But he had something really
insightful to say. He said, you know, It's not just
me that was beat up. This city has been beat
up and bruised and kicked. He even referred to the
two thousand and eight financial crisis and what they had
to overcome is a city here and tonight is just

(07:57):
one of those special nights in sports that really galvanizes
a group of people in such a special way. It
was a great for the city of Detroit.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
Think about Detroit. Since then, guys, Sherry, We've had the
NFL Draft, We've had all these signings of Penny Sewell
and a mon Ros, Saint Brown and Jared Goff, and
Detroit is the team right now. And the Rams they
came this close of knocking them off. They're playing again
in Detroit. I can't wait for it. And gosh, that
music is good. Are you better off fellone? Okay, I'll
let you guys go someone that's good.

Speaker 7 (08:29):
Listen, we've been off for a long time. The Jared
Goff thing is unbelievable. What's been going on. We saw
the news about the contract. I know in Detroit when
Heat was on stage in front of the Draft and
aman Ross Saint Brown gets a quarter million people to
chant his name. It's an unbelievable thing that has happened
with Jared Goff over the past couple of years. It
felt like for a while there when they traded him,
he was about ten minutes away from having a podcast

(08:51):
on barstool. Now it feels like he's gonna be with Oprah,
Like it's an amazing ascension that he's had. And yet
I'm going to look forward to two other teams in
his division.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
When is Bears Packers? When is it? What week is it?
Where is it first?

Speaker 7 (09:05):
I can't really remember a time in my life, maybe
when I was a little kid, when Bear's Packers really
felt like it mattered in the sense that the broadcast
starts and the play by play guy is talking over.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
The scene and setting the stage, and there's the Packers quarterback.

Speaker 7 (09:21):
Warming up and there's the Bear's quarterback warming up, and
it feels like two true rivals, and you really don't.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Know which way it's going to go. Is this it?

Speaker 7 (09:29):
When does Caleb get his first taste to the Packers.
I'm not even gonna mention the quarterback he came before Caleb,
because it went really terribly against the Packers. The first taste,
the last taste, all of them. I look at it
this way. If Caleb goes and he lights it up,
and he beats Green Bay and he beats the Packers, Bears.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Fans are going to be sobbing.

Speaker 7 (09:49):
If the Packers flick him away like all the other ones,
they'll be crying laughing. Either way, somebody's crying in this game.
The stakes feel bigger than this year. It feels like
the next ten years. And it's like, how long of
the Bears waited for this? Maybe their whole Barrett Packers win,
is it?

Speaker 3 (10:05):
I need to know.

Speaker 5 (10:08):
I love that.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
And you said you're not gonna mention the quarterback before him,
I will. Caleb Williams is now the quarterback. Justin Fields
was there a year ago, and I remember getting ready
for that early matchup and talking about the fact that,
all right, he's here now, justin Fields. You have to
knock the Packers off, Jordan loves and now I feel
like we're doing the same thing all over again. Who knows,
maybe this will be different. We can't wait to see

(10:28):
those guys out there on the field. I'm going with
one of the heavyweights. I'm going with Joe Burrow and
Lamar Jackson. We already know for Patrick Mahomes. He's getting
one of them in the first game in Lamar Jackson,
then Joe Burrow in week two on CBS. I want
to see these two guys go out it right in
their division because the last two years it feels like
it's been robbed from us a little bit. I was
at the Thursday Night game last year doing the game

(10:51):
for Westwood One, and Joe Burrow goes down with an injury.
We're not able to figure out exactly what it is.
It's a risk he doesn't finish that game. The Ravens
walk away with a victory. The year before that, Lamar
Jackson's not playing in a playoff game and we're missing
him down the stretch in their second meeting. I want
to get back to these two quarterbacks. CBS did this
quarterback ranking. They had Joe Burrow, I know before Lamar

(11:12):
Jackson all the way at number six. These two guys
were always going to be talking about this head to
head matchup. Right now, Lamar Jackson has the lead on
Joe Burrow, but I just want to see these two
guys go at it because there's different weapons around. There's
so much that's changed. Te Higgins's back right now. I
want to see who's going to come out on top.
And Lamar Jackson has lost weight. They said in this

(11:33):
offseason Joe Burrow's throwing a bomb to Jermaine Burton in practice.
There's so much going on. Can't wait to see these
two heavyweights go toe to toe out there.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Well, Jay two, if you think about it.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
They added Derrick Henry right in the backfield.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
And it's gonna be the second season with Todd Munkin
as their offensive corner. They were already so successful with
him in the first season. That is also a game
I'm keeping an eye on. But I want to go
back to Kyle. You talked about the Packers. I want
to do Packers forty nine Ers again. It's a revenge game.
Early there could be a chance for a redemption forty
nine Ers in the playoffs. The Packers were just so

(12:09):
close in this game again, should have could have that
missed field goal? What could have happened in that game.
It's gonna be second year for Jordan Love really and
this offense and Jordan Love and company. I can't wait
to see what's going to happen. This game will be
at Lambeau this time, around, So I'm interested to see
how that might play out, particularly if it's a later

(12:29):
game in the season, a nice cold December snow. I
think that would just be the most ideal way for
the Packers, just to you know, get a little payback
for the forty nine ers from last season.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
One of the great rivalries in sports is Packers forty
nine or so many years, whether it was Steve Young
and Brett Farb, or whether it was Colin Kaepernick and
Aaron Rodgers. And now you've got Jordan Love and brock Perty.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
It's great.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
Today we're gonna find out the Thanksgiving games. We're gonna
find out the Christmas Day games. We're gonna find out
who's broadcasting the Christmas Day games. We're gonna find week
one Sunday night football game. All of these games have
still not been really, they still haven't been leaked. I
haven't seen anything online. And I know very well that
thirty two social media departments are hard at work right now,

(13:12):
trying to be creative, trying to not be too mean
to the opponents, but also trying to be just pithy
enough to be the crown the winners of the social
media champions from schedule Release Day.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Guys, we're here.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
We made it.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
It's tomorrow. We can't wait.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
It is schedule release date.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
It's like the Super Bowl for the social media teams.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
But the full reveal of the entire.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Schedule coming your way tonight at eight pm Eastern. It's
one of the highlights of the offseason. You can fill
out your team schedule, just makes the season field that
much closer. Schedule release presented by Verizon tonight at eight
pm right here on NFL Network.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
As we're talking about the schedule release, that's also going
to include the international Games. Now, okay, we already know
the Eagles and the Packers they're meeting up in Brazil,
but there are four more games to go. You guys,
don't go anywhere. We will be unveiling those right here
on Good Morning Football. Get your playing tickets ready and
get ready to go see your favorite teams overseas.

Speaker 7 (14:08):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
It's Good Morning Football.

Speaker 6 (14:10):
I'm back, Kida sorta almost.

Speaker 10 (14:28):
Good Morning Football.

Speaker 7 (14:30):
Welcome back to Good Morning Football. Is a very special
day in the NFL. It's a very special day here
in Good Morning Football because we are giving the honor
here on the program this morning to announce the international
schedule for the upcoming season. These are the games that
are all around the world at this point where you
look at your wife or husband and say, should we
take there at the trip of a lifetime and go

(14:51):
see our team overseas? Or maybe you just have a
jaguar playing in fantas and you have to set your
alarm early to get him in the lineup.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Here they are. Remember, we already.

Speaker 7 (14:59):
Have the Packers and the Eagles in Southallo, Brazil.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
But we are going to announce a handful more.

Speaker 7 (15:05):
Right now, let's get the international train rolling, shayburs.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
What's the first one? All right?

Speaker 2 (15:10):
The first game we're going to announce is going to
take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium there in London, England.
It will be week five. The quarterback matchup has the
potential of being the old versus the Young?

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Are you ready?

Speaker 2 (15:25):
New York Jets and the Minnesota King. Okay's sure who
the matchup might be, but yes, Aaron Rodgers JJ McCarthy
will have to wait and see.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Kyle.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Where are we going next?

Speaker 3 (15:38):
We're not going anywhere.

Speaker 7 (15:39):
We're staying there Week six, the very next week, Tottenham
Hotspur Stadium, Guys, Bears Jaguars Week six, nine to thirty
am Eastern on NFL Network. We have Caleb, we have
Trevor Lawrence. Kind of a de facto home team for London.
Will Caleb have Union Jack fingernails?

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Probably hopefully.

Speaker 7 (16:00):
The Bears playing in the first ever NFL game in
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a few years back. There legacy in
London goes back all the way to nineteen eighty six,
when the then Super Bowl champion eighty five Bears played
a preseason game in London in nineteen eighty six. But
once more time, my friends. Week six, the Bears and
the Jags will be playing in London.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Be there, get there. What's next?

Speaker 6 (16:22):
We're staying right in London, buff from tom Hotspurs Stadium.
We're going over to Wembley Stadium. And you already mentioned
the Jaguars are like the home team another year where
they're going back to back games in London. They're taking
on the New England Patriots. Jira Meo, first time head coach,
now goes overseas to play his first game in London

(16:44):
along with Drake May. Now this is going to be
Week seven. I anticipate your Kobe Prisset to start the season.
Could this be maybe around the time that Drake May
could be out there?

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Could he get a start going overseas?

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Another one in London? Back to back to back Jaguars.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
Can they do it again as they're well rested and
they welcome into New England Pager Shregs, which you got
going on next?

Speaker 4 (17:06):
All right, So weeks five, six, and seven, we're in London.
Weeks eight and nine, we're back in the States. Everyone's there.
Week ten we're going to Germany and we're going back
to Munich, going back to Munich, and the matchup is
in their one hundredth season as an NFL franchise, The
New York Football Giants are going to Germany and they
are facing Rice Young and the Carolina Panthers overseas in Germany.

(17:31):
This is Giants versus Panthers. This is the Giants, of course,
led by Daniel Jones or Drew Locke or Tommy DeVito,
we don't know at that point, versus Bryce Young and
all those young new players they're adding in Carolina. We're
going back to Munich. Last year was Frankfurt, two years
ago was Munich. The show will go on and Germany
is in Brason Football Giants versus Panthers Week ten. Let's

(17:55):
go there we.

Speaker 10 (17:56):
Go, guys.

Speaker 7 (17:57):
Look at that Giants, Eagles, Jets, Vikings, Jaggs, Bears, Patriots, Jags.
And then when Peter just mentioned in Germany Giants versus Panthers,
those are real. Those are all happening this year. There
are different stadiums in different countries. The NFL is expanding
at some point will be playing games on another planet.

(18:18):
Until then, there are ten teams, five games playing off
us soil. They're always very, very exciting. And there's someone
who's about to join us who know a little bit
about that.

Speaker 10 (18:27):
My friends, good morning a.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Member of the Chicago Bears. All the talk called the hype,
I'm bear down.

Speaker 7 (18:48):
They will be going to London. It's an old friend
of the show. It's the kicker, Cairo Santos.

Speaker 10 (18:52):
What's up, Cairo.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
Mons.

Speaker 11 (18:55):
Thanks for having me excited about the International series and
we're going to London.

Speaker 7 (19:00):
We love that you are going to London. I told
you this before you came on the air. Cairo your money.
You're an incredible kicker, I think for a while, and
maybe the best player in the entire Bears team. I
think that might change this year, and I think that's
for the good. But let's go to London. How are
you feeling about it? I mean, the whole team is
going to be over there, a long trip. You and
the Jags, Well, how does that make you feel?

Speaker 11 (19:18):
I'm so excited. I'm a big fan of the International series,
being that I'm from Brazil. When I came here in
high school to play soccer, you know, coming from a
soccer dominant country, I fell in love the American culture,
American football, and it's changed my life. So get being
this position now that I'm a player for the league,
being a player for a long time, getting to go

(19:38):
to different countries and you know, expand our league globally,
our sport, our culture. You know, who knows what it
would change to people's lives over there, and they treated
like a World Cup game everywhere.

Speaker 10 (19:49):
Go.

Speaker 11 (19:50):
I got a chance to play for the Chiefs in
twenty fifteen in London at Wembley, Wembley's iconic stadium, so
I mean, he meant a lot to me. But then
seeing that plays ninety plus thousand people filled for a
different sport, you know, you're the headline sporting event.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
Of that week in that country, So uh, it's a
it's a great experience.

Speaker 11 (20:09):
I'm so happy that as in the NFL, we're expanding
that to once every four years now, you know, moving
moving forward the next coming years instead of eight, so
more opportunities for us to uh to impact the whole
world with the NFL.

Speaker 6 (20:23):
Absolutely, we love it, We've been a part of it.
Can't wait to see how it's going to turn out
this year. But Cairo Kyle mentioned that you've had to
hold that burden of being the best player on your roster,
but it's new expectations. Just here the number one overall pick,
Caleb Williams. Is there an infusion of talent? Just talk
about what it's like in the building with all of
the off season buzz going on.

Speaker 5 (20:43):
Thank you for those words. And I was a big
fan of you, playing against you for many years there.

Speaker 11 (20:48):
But yesterday it was the first day so the rookies
came in this week, and yes, it was the first
day that we went in a full speed on the field,
and I actually took a moment then and just appreciated
what I was watching, you know, seeing number eighteen right there,
a sling it to the number one receivers, you know,
just the intentional effort that they had and and he
carried along to the number twos, the threes, the rookies

(21:11):
and all the way to the defense and uh and
the O line.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
I mean everyone is.

Speaker 11 (21:16):
Justs got that same uh, the same type of effort.
And that's a sign that we got something special here
with all the guys that we added, culture that we've
been installing in the building, uh since coach Flues got
here and then Ryan Poles, So uh, I feel something
special and alles. It was the first sign of that.
I know we're going against air and they'll phase two

(21:36):
of OTAs, but I think that's really one. Like you
know that you have to be a pay attention to
details and go full speed because that's those are your
foundations for what's what's to come.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
And so so excited with this, Hya, We so appreciate
you waking up early and doing this, especially on this
exciting day. Look, you're the first ever Brazilian born NFL player.
We're going to the first ever Brazilian game when we're
going Week one Packers versus Eagles. Now, I know a
lot of Eagles fans in my life, sharing a lot
of Packers fans and her like. We all know that
they're all like, should we go? Should we not go?

(22:10):
Make the case for making the voyage to Brazil to
go see Packers Eagles the first first ever game played
in Brazil.

Speaker 10 (22:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (22:18):
Wow, it's a dream come true, you know, like you said,
just being the first Brazilian to enter. I spent my
first five or six years in the league going back
and doing camps in Brazil before COVID hit and maybe
a little more difficult to travel back, and just trying
to grow the sport there. And it's Brazil is already
the third largest market for the NFL in the world,

(22:40):
just behind US and Mexico.

Speaker 5 (22:42):
So it was about time they took that.

Speaker 11 (22:46):
Step to bringing the game closer because they've been hungry
for this for a decade.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
And I think they nailed the matchup.

Speaker 11 (22:54):
As jealous as I am that I won't be playing
there in the first ever game, but I think they
nailed the matchup. Just as much as I follow the
NFL in Brazil, those those two franchises, they have a
huge fan base in Brazil.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
So cool.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
The game is going to be on Friday night.

Speaker 11 (23:13):
You know that normally we see the International Series in
the morning, so being that's going to be a primetime
experience to show Brazil in Brazil, to show the NFL
world how much they've been wanting this. I'm so excited that,
you know, it's going to be a part of the
International Series.

Speaker 7 (23:31):
It's great and Cairo's like, it's not about its Brazil
ready for the NFL's is the NFL ready for Brazil.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
It's going to be electric. The fans are different there.

Speaker 7 (23:39):
I'm sure the Eagles fans will be very low key
as always, Cairo, we really mean this. Thank you for
waking up, thank you for joining us in this very
special day.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
And bear down, my man, Yes, sir down, Good morning guys,
that's what they say.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Peter. All right, let's get it, Caleb. Now, the.

Speaker 7 (24:00):
Cairo Santo is going to go do three hundred kicks
and make every single one hamstrings on Santos

Speaker 10 (24:13):
Mhm.
