Speaker 1 (00:00):
We don't do the cloppy thing anymore because it's it's
corny and so. But but I want you to feel welcome.
Karamo is here on the friend shield this morning silence.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I'm a cloud for myself. I never know.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
It sounds weird if we don't clamp. It's just like
Camo's here in the complete silence. It's called self esteem
for a reason. I'm doing to my own all right,
I'm happy to be here.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I love you all.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
I know we love having you here. It seems like
it's several times a year. I know which You're always welcome.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Listen. I actually love Chicago. Daytime talk shows were mostly
shot here here, and then they moved them to Stanford, Connecticut,
and I wish they'd move them back here because Chicago
is the Ish. Is that where yours is? Stanford, Connecticut?
For Connecticut? Wow, petition, let me come back to Chicago.
I'll be here every day. Yeah. I took Breakfast Springer
there too. Will Coast was there. Phil Donahue was here.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Oprah Oprah, Jenny Jones, Yeah yeah, and Karamo could be.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
I mean, what do we doing? Gratulations another season?
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Sason two? Oh yeah, look at you you know you
saw my bag when I walked in a coin. Now,
thanks for getting a little better over season too. Money
right here, we're like season ten.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
I don't even have a wallet here.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yeah this is this is season thirteen and we're adding
cities and somehow we still make the same amount of money.
I need your agent. I think I got to man
so and I just of course I binge Queer Eye.
I can't get enough of it. I watch all of
it like in one day, which I wish I had
the discipline to spread it out so I could enjoy
it a little bit longer.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
But no, no, we like the binging of it. That's
what Kate creeps the numbers up and keeps the paychecks
high and keeps them wanting to renew it. Sounds like
you have enough already, so I don't. This is from
the parents House. Walk Meet was literally planning to like
mess his life up so he could go on Queer Eye.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
He's like, should I just you know, mess my life
up a little bit so they can help me.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
I tried to look like a disaster today, so you're
trying to help me out because I want my house redone,
I want clothes, I.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Want some different friends, and I am close friends and
we all live next to each other, the Fab five
and I and so all you have to do is
just like when we text each other say I'm coming
over your house, and I invite them and then like
by each other. Yeah we do. Bobby Burke, I can
see his backyard from my backyard. That's literally how close
we are really, so I can wave and he can
wave back.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
So fun.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
We're obsessed.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Actually, what is a seven eight episode? How long does
it take you guys to do that? Three months?
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (02:35):
And are you going back and forth with your show
and then having it or do you actually move to
the place and lived there for three months?
Speaker 2 (02:40):
I moved to both places, so I live there and
then I'll fly out do the talk show, then come
back and.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Do you know, yeah, do you live in that actual
house that you use as your house or do you
live somewhere else?
Speaker 2 (02:49):
I lived in the fourth season. We knew when it's
all started.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
Don't forget us.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
That's amazing. Actually, you know what, can I tell you this?
No one else did the four seasons. I'm just capping
right now because of the fact that my apartment that
they give us all apartments. I walked in late, and
so everyone gets to pick. It's like you know when
you see on reality shows everyone runs through the room.
I let's do that. Yeah, housewives, and everyone got the
good apartments, and then they gave me like the crappy apartment.
(03:23):
The thing was falling off, and so I said that
I had an allergy and forced them to get to
get me a hotel. And it was one o'clock in
the morning, so I thought it was gonna be like
whatever hotel, but the only one that was available because
it was like Essence Fest at the time. This is
last year. Everything was booked was the Four Seasons. And
then they had to keep me there. So lesson to
(03:45):
be learned here. If you don't get what you want,
make up a lie.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Okay, I've never heard that they edit out.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I think I am allergic to this room. I think
they need to move us to the Four Seasons right now.
And you were in Pride yesterday in Chicago. Of course
I texted you because we were getting rained on, but
I had a feeling that you were not.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Oh that makes sense now to your text, You're like,
are you enjoying this? And I was like, yeah, I
texted you while it was like torrential but realizes they
got you a double decker bus.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
They put us on a flat out, exposed like thing
with I don't know, like plants.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Sense now because we were underneath the bus and I
was like, what are you talking about? You all again?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Four seasons, double decker but we're not doing any Yeah,
my throat just a little. Do you have a minute
to join us for a segment that we do around
this time?
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I will join you all for as long as you'll
have me. Well, in that case, let me play the
fresh show. It's all right.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
So this is and she's a new member, I think
since maybe the last time you were here, Caramo. So
she has glasses for each week. Yes, those I haven't
seen before. I don't think they're flying.
Speaker 5 (05:12):
Thank you, thank you, bo I got them from what
you got your.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
First Okay, we're going to shop together.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Honor in the court. Honor in the court, the honorable
Kiki presiding. I'm the bailiff. Apparently that's you. Yeah, yeah, yes,
so look ahead. What are we presiding over today?
Speaker 6 (05:39):
Okay, this case is hot off the press. It says
Judge Kiki. My name is Sabrina and first off, you
guys looked so good at Pride. My friend and I
were screaming at you guys from your float. But it's
crazy that I went from screaming at you all to
any of the night screaming at my best friend get
into this. So every year I go to the Pride
parade with my high school best friend, and this year
(06:00):
was no different. We both lived out in the suburbs,
but we made a plan to drive into the city
early to park and watch the parade.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Per usual, my friend made us late.
Speaker 6 (06:10):
Finding a parking spot was insane, so we drove around
for almost an hour trying to find a spot until
my friend spotted an open parking spot right on a
side street near the parade route. Now my spidey senses
told me that this was too good to be true,
but my friend ensured me that it was fine, so
we parked. After the parade, we hung out with friends,
(06:31):
and upon returning to get in the car, the car
was nowhere to be found. Keiki, I'm riding this at
ten pm and I still don't have my car.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
You know why.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
It's Carmel's bus ran it over.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
So she says, my so called friend took no accountability
and instead just screamed at me and said that I
was overreacting.
Speaker 5 (06:50):
So we split an uber ride home.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
But I know that I'll be out of at least
two hundred and fifty dollars to get my car back.
I honestly feel like he should pay for this in full.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
I'm not even gay. I only go to the parts
and support. Hi, Am I wrong?
Speaker 2 (07:13):
She's looking for reparation.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
When you throw that in there, I start to have questions,
but I'm not by I really am.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
Okay, Well this is right up.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
You.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
You are the they call you the culture guy on
Queer Eye, but you're more like the what does that
even mean? Like?
Speaker 2 (07:37):
You give the advice? Do you make people crying? Mental health? Mental?
Mental health? I was a social worker for almost a
decade and so license across this world, but not anymore.
But so I work with the mental health. That's what
I do. But culture is a throwback to the old title. Yeah, well,
I've been watching for so long, you know what, I
don't know. I can't keep up with it.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
I was watching you back when you were staying at
the Hilton and not the four season myself. I wanted you.
You're right, I wanted you emerged. So what do we
do here? Who's who's in the right, who's.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
In the bar? Girl?
Speaker 6 (08:06):
We do it matter that you're not gay? Like that
you go to the parade, So now he needs to
pay you.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
The money because you're not gay?
Speaker 5 (08:12):
Like, what is that do with anything?
Speaker 6 (08:14):
But you know what I always preach guys, the spidey
senses are there for a reason. The Lord told you
not to park in that parking spot. So no, I
don't think he needs to give you anything because you
knew better. He sent you a sign to not do it,
and he did it anyway.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
You should split it, right.
Speaker 6 (08:29):
I mean, that's a nice thing to do, that's courteous.
But your spidey senses told you not to park there.
That's your responsibility. Okay. Judge said what she said. She
did say that, she said it. She says, well, you're
an honorary jur today. So what do you think, Karama,
you followed the judge.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Let me tell you what I learned being a being
a boy who grew up in a house with a
black women. Judge Kiky, you are correct. I don't know
that right now. There's one thing different, Judge Kiki, I
trust everything you said.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
If you were to say something different, though, you must
have a take on this.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
I mean, I actually think that it's true. You have
to be accountable for your own actions. I think when
we look at I just said it earlier, when we
were like do we clap? Self esteem is about me.
This is my car. I'm making the decision. If I
want to be influenced, I have to take accountability that
I decided to be influenced by someone else's decision to
park here. Because now your expectation is because I followed you,
(09:30):
you should pay for half. And the reality of it
is is you followed yourself, and if you didn't, you
wouldn't be in that position. And so I'm with you.
Your spotty senses said yes. Now, if they're a good friend,
they will say, I know, girl, you're not gay, and you.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
Know you just came here.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Let me give you have.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Don't have the money, Maybe this kick scurch should be
about something else.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
We need to get some bring in any of that question.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Yeah, okay, So if it was if she were a
nice or he were a nice friend or whomever, then
they would say, let me let me split this with you,
because this is kind of on me.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
The bigger lesson here is accountability for our own selves.
We walk came into this world and we're walking through
it and we have to make choices and be empowered
by trusting our own instincts. And I think we live
in a world right now where sometimes we start not
to trust our own instincts. And the more you can
trust your instincts, I promise you, the better life you'll have.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Look at how he just turned this into like an
actual episode of this was intelligence. It was, it was,
it was deep.
Speaker 5 (10:48):
Okay, ki a little different.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Well, we know that it roofy over here where if
you were in the car, you wouldn't offer to pay.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
No, no, that's your car, that's your problem.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
You know, you'd be the first to say park illegally.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
Yeah yeah, I'd be like you just parking good and
then it's gone. That's not my problem.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Yeah. How did the friend get home though? Oh?
Speaker 6 (11:15):
They said they split an uber. They split the No, no.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Again, she need to get her priorities together. You're going
to split an uber with the person who just told
you they're not going to help you out with your car,
So you're devaluing yourself from beginning to end of the night,
so that's all on her. Damn, someone needs to practice
their self esteem, man, I keep.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
What does that have to do with having to pay?
I mean, if I didn't have to go to your gay.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
I would be out to the city.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
I want myself for the rest of the day. Every
interview I do, I'm gonna be like, I'm not gay, y'all,
I'm not gay. I'm welcome. I'm not gay. Well, we
didn't ask the.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Best part of the story, why are you gay?
Speaker 5 (12:28):
On the internet?
Speaker 2 (12:29):
I send it to everyone, Okay, I send it to everyone.
I promise you. I could go through twenty d ms
right now. That came like yesterday.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
We quoted all the time because.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
There was someone who put up and said, like, send
this to everyone who has a letter J And it's
like and the person is there, and then all of
a sudden it comes in, why are you gay? I
told you I love the friend ship. We're gonna start
seeing friends show topics on caramo a.
Speaker 7 (13:04):
Minute today we have some brea. This is gonna be
good anyway.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
I hope that you noticed my disheveled look and send
me lots of clothes today. Will I got to I
just I should have been even more disheveled. If I
had really been thinking, I would have just totally gone come.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
To the house. I promise you that's all it will take.
All it will take you meet the five of us.
We're literally going to give you all the stuff that
we have. So I'm just gonna look at me and
go this charity case. I mean, it wouldn't be wrong.
I just want to shopping with you.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
But now that you got to season two, syndication, you're
paying Okay, done perfect. So everybody watched Caramo and so
you get how does this work? He goes season to
season until you like eventually they say your Oprah and
they give you five seasons at a time, or how
does it go?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
That's it? We just got people have keep tuning in
and like I got to say, Chicago in season one
was my op rated city throughout, so I have a
special love, you know what I mean, Because we felt
confident about any season two, but Chicago definitely pushed us
right over, so we were getting season two. So Chicago,
thank you for watching this. The Corama Show on CW
twenty six every day. I really appreciate it comes on
(14:16):
today at noon. We're stilling to repeats, but new episodes
are coming very very soon.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
You make sure that I you make sure you remember.
I think that has something to do with us. Honestly,
I discussed Chicago. You're friends with us. I don't know something.
I'm not getting all.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Right my entire day.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
I'm gonna go get a sandwich later, hop Belly to
be like, I'll have a number two.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
I'm not Yay.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
