Speaker 1 (00:00):
Justin Bieber is shrinking a circle, and some who have
been cut out say he's being isolated from longtime friends
because he's in a cult and his church pastor is
wielding a ton of influence over him. And we've heard
this about some of those megachurches. But Justin is no
longer friends with Ryan Good, the best man at his
wedding and creative director at his fashion brand, Drew House,

(00:21):
which he most recently broke ties with. And word is
that it has to do with Ryan leaving church home
that's the church where Justin goes because he thought it
was a cult. Bieber's pastor, though, Judah Smith, is speaking
and he says, nah, we're not a call, But what
else is he going to say? He said, what kind
of cult only meets once a month? So he didn't
really say no. But Justin and this pastor also apparently

(00:43):
confronted his former manager, Scooter Braun, who is Jewish, about
not believing in Jesus, which is wild if true. And
they were also badgering Ryan Good about his sex life. Now,
speaking of a sex life, the Jacksonville Jaguars came up
with a short and sweet way to reveal their twenty
twenty five five schedule by utilizing Sabrina Carpenter's famous juno

(01:03):
sex positions that she does on her tour. If you
didn't know, all thirty two teams tried to get all
cute with videos for their announcements, but the Jag shared
the Sabrina viral tour positions, placing other teams' logos on
each one. And if you somehow miss this or have
not seen one of her show, show, Sabrina ents her
juno song with a slew of different sex positions, which

(01:25):
has gone viral. You know in Paris, she may have
done a nod to the Eiffel Tower, you know. Sometimes
they have meetings, sometimes they don't, And so that's how
the Jags decided to announce it. I like the AI
one as well. I forget what team did it, the
Alan Iverson. They used him the bills.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
They could have done better with him, They could have
used him better.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
He thought, yeah, but I thought it was.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
It was funny that they said use Ai and then
it was him. Yeah, it was Allen Iverson, But I
think they could have used him better.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah yeah, And then they're like, go bills and he's
like not saying that just giving a nod to the quarterback,
and after announcing this week that they're done being called
Max and going back to their old iconic name, HBO
used their own social media accounts to poke fun at
the change, using content from their own library library. Wow,
I got like British or something for a second. For instance,

(02:17):
the official Max account updated its bio on the platform
with a reference to Jennifer Coolidge's White Lotus one lighter
liner writing, these rebrands are trying to murder me in
the og it's these gays are trying to murder me.
And another user tolled the name change reversal by using
a screenshot of Alison Williams on Girls, where her character says,

(02:38):
let's make fun of the girl who took a risk
and put herself out there creatively, and HBO retweeted that.
So they're getting in on the joke of how silly
this is, which is probably best because it was very,
very silly.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I guess you the boardroom now it's like, guys, I
don't know, we got this app, We got more stuff
on there than just HBO. What should we do? Totally
changing the name? Absolutely change the name because people know
HBO is entertainment. It's been around for fifty years. You know,
if people know movies and they know that we're known
for like the Sopranos, and they know us, change your name,
change your name completely, blow it up, Do not change

(03:11):
your name.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
The reason behind it, like we need to get a
marketing strategist or something on the show to tell us
because like some companies even change the font, right, I
don't know if you guys have peaked the font of
certain logos have changed, what's the reason?

Speaker 2 (03:24):
I mean, I think it was probably like it was
it was more than just HBO movies, right, So I
think that was probably what they were going for, was like,
well there's more here than just like it's a network
and there's more stuff going on. But I don't know,
incorporate HBO into it, right, right?

Speaker 1 (03:37):
They could have done you know, the old trustee plus
like Paramount plus HBO plus HBO and more.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Use something like leave.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
HBO in there.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Who the hell is Max?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Tell me a word that means nothing to anybody, and
let's change our iconic brand to a word that means
nothing to anyone.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
And the audacity of making me you can change the
name on your end, making me download another app, and
for months I was going to my HBO app. I
was telling me I can't do that. I gotta go
somewhere else. I don't know. It's crazy, but at least
they're making fun of themselves because that was nuts. If
