It is the second week of Ditty's sex trafficking trial
and there are some big milestones on the schedule today.
Jury selection is up first this morning, as there are
forty three jurors still to go through and the goal
is to pick eighteen twelve jurors and six alternates. Once
the jury is set, the trial will move on to
opening statements. Ditty's defense will focus on the fact it's

simply a swinger, not a criminal. They also plan to
say that the physical violence shown in that surveillance video
with sex Cassie went both ways. There are three witnesses
at least said to be called by the prosecution this week,
one of which is Cassie, although we have been hearing
that one of them not Cassie. Another one going by
victim number three, is currently unreachable and may not testify.

I don't know if they're ghosting or what's going on
with that. That witness was expected to provide pivotal testimony
about the alleged decades long abuse by Ditty. He of course,
has pled not guilty to all charges, gave up all
of his chances for plea deals and he faces a
possibility of life in prison if convicted, which is crazy
to say. The trial is expected to last like eight

weeks and will not be televised like some people were hoping.
I mean, this is a lot heavier and more delicate
than like the Johnny Depp amber Herd trial, for example.
And there's people who are trying to not go public
with their identity and I understand that, so it will
not be televised like some people were saying.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I'm skeptical of that. Is is it a person that
doesn't want to have their identity revealed or is it
somebody who got paid to go away.

It's interesting, right, because this.

Does happen sometimes where people are like, you know, they
go after the last they go after someone, they well,
they go after someone because they were a victim potentially
right allegedly, and then all of a sudden, right before
it's time, they just never mind, Yeah, why never mind? Yeah,
I mean I realized it's a very hard thing to
do to come forward and brave, so they could be that,

This is one of the reasons why they didn't let
