Speaker 1 (00:00):
Camlon's entertainment report, He's on the Bread Show.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Tyler Perry slammed insurance companies who made policy changes ahead
of the wildfires that have devastated the Greater La area.
So he wrote, watching a daughter use a garden hose
to try and protect her ninety year old parents' home
because their insurance was canceled was gut wrenching to me.
By the way, State from General, the largest home insurance

(00:24):
company in California, announced in March of last year that
it would not be renewing thirty thousand policies when they expired,
sixteen hundred of which were located in the Pacific Palisades.
He continued, does anyone when I was finding appalling that
insurance companies can take billions of dollars out of communities
for years, and then all of a sudden be allowed
to cancel millions of policies for the very people they

(00:46):
became rich on. People who have paid premiums all of
their lives are left with nothing because of pure greed.
Another insurance company called Chubbs Chub stopped writing new policies
for high value homes designated to be at high risk
for wildfires, while all state also stopped writing new policies.
Tens of thousands of people have been displaced by the
wildfires that began a path of destruction excuse me through

(01:10):
LA on January seventh, when high winds sparked fast moving
brush fires through the Pacific Palisades. They have sent spread
to surrounding neighborhoods like Malibu and the Hollywood Hills. Speaking
of the fires, there's a benefit concert for victims that's
going to take place at the Into It is that
how I say it, don't don't don't into it doome
Jason's been. They're super high tech. On January thirtieth is
when this concert's going to be. The money raised, of course,

(01:31):
is going to help rebuild communities, support families, and just
advance fire prevention in LA, which I think is very important.
I don't have a lineup yet, but I'm sure there'll
be some big names.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I saw the whole economic breakdown Kaalin of why the
insurance does it make sense? Because it would cost too much,
Like if it's a percentage of the value of the
home and then you know whatever. Just the math breakdown
was such that it would cost too much to ensure
your house Okay, but I agree I hadn't considered, and
I agree with the point of if you've insured your
house for ten or twenty years already, I get nothing

(02:03):
for that. I guess I don't know, but I mean,
what would be my incentive to go rebuild in that
neighborhood if I if my house wasn't insured and it
won't be insured moving forward, why would I move there.
There's a lot of other crazy stuff going on too.
I think maybe we talked about it earlier, but any
house that was for rent in the area now, I
guess on MLS, they've all gone way up because now

(02:24):
people are like because well, supply and demand, so people
are looking for places to live. So let's just make
if I had a house on the market or for
rent for the last you know, one hundred days or whatever,
well let's go make it more expensive now because I'm
going to rent it out to someone who needs a
place to live and I can get more. I mean,
it's terrible people you live with yourself, stealing from these,
looting from these, it's just wild.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Yeah, I don't know. I mean, it's above my pay
grade to understand how insurance works. I just know that,
like I mean, something should probably be done about that.
It's pretty crazy, and I guess, like he said, more
research into fire prevention as well. DJ Academics accused Lebron
James of cheating on his wife with the help of Drake,
alleging they engaged in two man experiences with women in Toronto.

(03:04):
He says Drake facilitated providing women for Lebron while he
was in Canada. Now, there's no concrete evidence that he
has cheated on his wife, but the streets have kind
of been saying that for a while. I don't know
a pro athlete cheating a crazy I've never heard. I
don't have it. I never had it, almost never happened
inet But I love his wife and I just she's

(03:28):
so beautiful. But you know, I guess that doesn't matter
these days and real quick. Den of Thieves two Pantera
debuted on top of the box office with fifteen point
five million over the weekend Disney's Mufasa or Mafusa as
I wrote for Fred and then read it, So that's
my bad now and now I have my boyfriend Proofrey
because I'm like, I can't be trusted for the time

(03:49):
being writing questions because I don't not account, and I
don't know how to type anymore. Right, Sonic the Hedgehog
came in at number three, and then that Lily Rose
Depp movie I Want to See Nosferatu came in at fourth.
