Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Press Show.

Speaker 2 (00:02):

seven Night Presidents Eve Dolby Live at Park MGM, and
we've got a trip for two to the January twenty
fifth show to night Hotel State Park MGM January twenty
fourth through the twenty sixth and round trip airfare. Text

Cawon's entertainment report is on the Press show.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
As the Backsheep Boys continue their run at the Sphere
in Vegas, Nick Carter is getting pulled into more legal trouble.
Several women, as you may know, including Melissa Schuman, Shannon
Shay Ruth, and Laura Penley, have resurfaced with assault allegation
sexual assault allegations from the early two thousands. As you know,
Nick has denied all these claims, filed countersuits, calling them

(00:52):
a coordinated shakedown.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
But here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Because there are now multiple accusers and overlapping lawsuits, lawyers
are now trying to dates to get Nick formal questioning
under oath aka a deposition expected to stretch over several days.
For now, the residency a la the Bakshi Boys continues,
but the legal cloud is kind of growing a little
bit bigger around him. And it's sort of just as

(01:17):
the band is kind of hit their stride again and
figured out a formula too. I mean, they're they're raking
it in at the sphere, so we'll see what happens
with that. You may have also seen that soon after
Cardi b welcomed her fourth child, her first whist to
Fawon Diggs, a post appeared on offsets x account that
read my kid lol, weirdo okay, which many interpreted I mean,

(01:41):
I think that this is what it meant as him
insinuating that the newborn baby was his and not Stefan's.
This wouldn't be the first time he said something like this.
That post went viral, and Carti said that she's feeling
frightened and harassed and kind of scared.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
But here's a twist. Now, his team is saying the
post is fake.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
According to one of his spokespeople, any statements attributed to
Offsets circulating on social media are completely fabricated.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Cartie says it's more than just online drama.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
She claims that he's been harassing and threatening her and
that the situation has made her literally fear for her life.
She warned that what may seem like jokes or memes
could escalate into something far more dangerous. So I feel
like that's what everyone's going to say, even if it's
true or not. Now it was AI someone hacked, you know,
fake news. So there you go, speaking of X as

(02:32):
you know. Last Thursday, I think it was Billy kind
of Billie Eilish went off on Elon Musk on her
Instagram story, listing a ton of global issues that he
could single handedly tackle after a new Tesla pay package
put him on track to become the world's first trillionaire.
She argued that he could end world's hunger, save endangered species,

(02:53):
amongst other things.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
She called him a effing.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Pathetic PB coward, which I cannot say most of that part,
but fast forward. He responded, saying that she's not the
sharpest tool in the shed.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
So I just did not.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Have that on my BNGO car Billy versus Elot and
they're just calling each other names, so we don't know what.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
He's really doing, of course, but like how much money
do you really need? And I get for these rich guys,
it's competitive, right, Like they want to be the richest
or the rich, and the money is how they among
others in spaceships and sports teams and whatever else, is
how they like equate amongst one another who's the best
or something. But like he's a trillion dollars, which if
my math is correct, it's one thousand billion if I

(03:37):
did that, right, Okay, so keep a hundred billion for
yourself and give the other nine hundred billion away, right,
I don't know, Like how much do you possibly need?
And I'm not one of these people that thinks just
because you make a certain amount of money you have
to give the rest away. But we're talking about a
number that's hard to quantify.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I don't even know if I could write it, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I mean, even if you gave a way, even if
you kept nine hundred million and gave away a hundred
billion of it, like how much even if everyone in
your family gets a billion dollars, you don't I'm saying
that to think about that, Like, I guess I don't
understand why he's not like sure, as a response to this,
but I mean, we also know he's not necessarily human.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
So he's an alien and he's.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
The person that that Pauline has been. Yeah, Elon must
personally respond to Polina as Ai.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Right, I mean that ex Ryan says that he like
lives on his friend's couches and makes them eat peanut
butter for dinner.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Like, I don't know, so where is what are you
doing with it?

Speaker 2 (04:37):
My guy?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
It's just it's giving quarter of money or something. Hi. Again,
I just don't know how much.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
You could argue, well, if you have this much, that much,
it's not as much as it used to be, or.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I don't I don't know. Again.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I'm not the person who thinks just because you've been
wildly successful and you've made more than everybody else that
you have to give it away. That is not necessarily
my perspective. But I mean, how much is enough?

Speaker 5 (05:00):
I think I think we've reached that, right, Like if
somebody if I had a trillion dollars and people were like,
man Fred cheap, I'd be like, I'll tell you what,
here's here's a billion dollars for somebody I'm not see looks,
and I still have nine ninety nine billion.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Right, I mean, I think the bigger flex is doing
something really cool with the money, like that would make
me more hunger.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Correct, you could be the man that did that, Oh
my god, for sure.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Probably cure cancer. You might be able to will eradicate
all sorts of issues.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
And then get a big statue of yourself or whatever
played just the tip of space.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Again, I don't care, but you know, do something well.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Again, I mean, there are people who listen to us
who know a lot more about math and money than
I do. But even if you're even if you're a
trillion dollars set in and I don't think he has
all of it. I think it's stuck and I don't
think it's all liquid. But I mean just the amount
of money he's accruing by just existing every second, Like
give that away?

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Helec mackenzie by right, Yeah, that's correct.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
