Speaker 1 (00:00):
Order up. She's a fresh show. It's Kiki's court, all right.
The honorable is here, Judge Kiky take it away.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Bad at him. It just hits so good on a Monday.
I'm ready. All right, let's get into this courtroom. We're
gonna hit this gavel, it says Keiki. For the last
seven years, I've been trying to climb the corporate ladder,
and honestly, I'm over it. I've been with my company
seven years, and I worked hard to do my very
best each year in hopes of growing with the company.
I've gotten great reviews, made bonuses, and all the things
(00:30):
in my current position. However, my boss announced a few
weeks ago that she would be leaving to be a
stay at home mom, so I immediately applied for her position. Well,
my co worker also applied for the position, but I
wasn't worried because I've been with the company longer. I
have a master's degree and she doesn't, and in the past,
she's threatened to leave the company multiple times, and I've
(00:52):
always been very, very loyal. Well, to my surprise, my
coworker was promoted over me. I was devastated, and I
went to upper management to plead my case, and I
was shocked to learn that she told them that she
also has a master's degree, and I know for a
fact that that is a lie. When I confronted her,
she admitted to lying about the degree to get the position,
(01:14):
and she told me, girl, don't be mad, it's the
corporate way. I also found out that she's been having
an affair with one of our corporate leaders, Kei Key.
I have an email typed out sitting in my draft
folder ready to expose her to the entire management team.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Should I send it? Oh my lord, I mean, what
are you saying.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
I'm gonna say this. Her name is Kara, Kara. I'm
gonna tell you this, girl, I would not send the email.
I know, I know, but I would not send the
email because what I think about the situations like this
is it's just not for you. The position is just
not for you. There is something better out there for you,
(01:57):
and you will get it. Just keep being a stand
up person, keep doing the right thing. These people who
cheat their way to the top, they always end up
getting exposed. You will see her on her way down,
trust me, girl. Yeah, I was gonna say.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
I know it's not fair, but my gut tells me
because I've been in a similar situation, not necessarily with
the education piece, but where people are sleeping with other
people and stuff's happening and it looks like that has
something to do with it. I shouldn't say you're never
going to win that, because eventually I did win that
because I just stuck it out and then eventually they
(02:31):
got discovered. But I also made a big stink about it.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
But at the same time, I feel like that's usually
not one that works in your favor, and it's unfair.
But my thing would be stick out your gig as
it is, keep your mouth shut, and maybe still looking
for another job somewhere else where you feel like you
might have a better opportunity. Because when it comes to
people sleeping together, especially if it's not known, they're going
to do whatever it takes to cover for themselves. And
(02:57):
then now we're lying about education, and then let's say
that is also some inappropriate relationships involved. I feel like
people are just gonna lie light lila lie to keep
it going, and you're gonna wind up with in your
face even though you're not doing anything wrong.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Right, And I feel like sometimes we get attached to
a company and we feel like, oh, we've been loyal,
so then we deserve. But if a company or any
place is not giving you what you feel you deserve,
you have other.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Options, and that is to prepare yourself to leave.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
So I would not send the email because that's going
to get crazy, but I would leave.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
It sucks when the person who's in the right somehow
gets painted as the troublemaker, right, yes, yes, but I
feel like that's prone to happen here. Yeah, you know
what I mean, Like, I don't think it's fair, But
I would just sort of say, you know what, these
folks are not looking out for me, they're not recognizing
my value, and I'm just gonna do my job the
(03:49):
one I have now. Don't burn the bridge until you
have to and then still looking for another job. And
people are gonna argue that's not fair. It's not fair.
It isn't fair. But causing a big stink, depending on
who the people that you're causing to stink about, may
not work in your favor, whether you're right or wrong.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
And even if you are right, Yeah, she shouldn't leave,
she should stay there.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
She's got blackmail on this woman and she's so she
should just you know, like hold it against this lady.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
She won't be doing any work anymore. You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
She's got the easy path to doing nothing and getting
paid for it.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
So you say, just sit in your job, don't do anything.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
Yeah, and get paid and be like, I'm not gonna
do anything because I got black, I.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Got I got but work it on the back end.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
So basically play their game and say, you know, I'm
not going to do anything unless I expre or I'm
going to expose you, Like either I'm gonna be lazy
and you're gonna cover from me, or I'm going.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
To expose you.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
I don't think that works, honestly, that that just seems
like it it's gonna blow up in her face.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yeah, what world does that work? Because like now the
lady is her boss, so she was gonna fire.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Her, That's what I'm saying, Well, what is she going
to fire her for?
Speaker 4 (04:53):
She's got she needs to have some kind of uh,
some kind of proof that she got to have a
reason to fire her.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Well, clearly she's a liar, So I'm sure it won't
take a long to lie on the lake and I'm like.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Well, they're gonna fire me, then I'm gonna just expose
this whole thing.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
There's a lot of layers here, so there are at
a lot of booby traps here.
Speaker 5 (05:09):
Man.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
No, well pun intended because you've got because you got
the person who lied to get ahead and to sort
of leapfrog you. Then apparently this person you're saying might
be sleeping with somebody else in management, so then you
got that person involved. Now, so you got two people
that outrank you. And again not saying this is fair,
but we got to look at this from a strategic
angle exactly. And I'm thinking, maybe you don't want to
(05:32):
this is not a battle you want to wage. You
may as well just say, you know what, this is
a messed up place. I don't want to work here
and go get another job. But see Angelus eight five
five three five. You guys are the jury. ANGELA, good morning.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
What do you think?
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I think she should totally send the email because I
find it so messed up to lie.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
About having a degree.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
As someone who is also working in micromanage corporate America,
you work alongside people without degrees all the time, but
to lie about it is a whole new ballpark.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
So I think that she should totally sund the email.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
That's what I would do.
Speaker 6 (06:18):
I would expose her to.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Like, if she's getting with the decision maker, then it's
unlikely that it will wind up being fair. It hasn't
been fair the whole time. Why would it be fair now,
you know what I mean? Just like it's not good,
but it's not legal.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
It might humble her a little bit, like even though
like the fact that she's being honest to her co workers,
that she lied about it, but not the company. It's
like not a good look.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
I see what if they all got together and they're
having a little like you know, like a little lunch
company lunch, and then they're like, hey, why don't we
all pull out our master's degrees and sucking with other.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Yea, because I'm always carrying her out POGs diploma. I'm
always pulling it out at like you want to see
my diploma of yours, I'll show you up.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
I just don't know. This isn't going to be fair.
I don't think any part of this is fair. There's
so many layers of unfairness. I don't know why, you know.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
And I hate to agree, like with the crazy girl,
but like it is the corporate way. You're not gonna
I don't feel like she's going to win this. You
exposes it out to them. She's just like the corporate
way is honesty.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
So send the email. I mean, I don't know about that, Angela,
thank you, have a good day.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Let me see her corporate HR here, send the email.
I'm sure the company has a quid pro quo policy.
There's an integrity issue in upper management. Yeah, there is no.
I mean again, no one here is saying that like
this is a good situation, or that she's being treated fairly,
or that she should you people should be lying about
their education or sleeping with their bosses or whatever. But again,
and you want to go up against all that because
(08:02):
I don't know that you win. And again, is that fair?
Speaker 1 (08:04):
No?
Speaker 3 (08:05):
But I mean just go, I say, go, get another job.
Don't just don't burn this one down yet. Maybe start
looking for a place where you're more valued. Heather, Hi, good.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Morning, good morning, bred Hey, good morning. What do you
want to say? What do you think?
Speaker 5 (08:18):
I agree with a lot of what you guys are saying.
I think that not rucio by the way, what.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
The wild outlier opinions back from a fraternity leaders. I
don't know what sort of elaborate scheame he's coming up
with a lot of tell her that you're going to
do this, or that I didn't think it's blackmailers, and
then tell her, yeah, hold her hostage in the base.
They tell her, you're not going to work and until
that what I'm coming into work today? What do you
but what do you think she should do?
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Heather?
Speaker 5 (08:48):
I think she needs to send that email to HR
and also start looking for another job. But she needs
she does need to be exposed, not to the entire
management team, but she needs to be exposed. HI needs
to know that this girl just lied to get this position.
But don't send it to the home management team because
that's a churchher way out the door without any respect.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
See But Heather, I've been in this situation where I
my boss was sleeping with a coworker of mine and
I knew it and a lot of other people knew
it too, but no one really said anything and management
denied the whole thing until one day he got caught.
They got caught, They both got fired. But like it,
almost I almost lost my job putting up a fight
(09:29):
because he was the boss and he was going to
protect himself and he was going to protect the girl
that he was looking up with. So I it almost
burned me down, but I got lucky that finally it
was like, oh that is oh my god, that is happening. Well,
that's bad, and then here we are. So there's a
lot of risk. There's a lot of risk, and not
that there should be, but there's a lot of risk
in stepping up to these people and trying to get
them to be honest because they're they're gonna lie for
(09:50):
themselves first.
Speaker 5 (09:52):
They are, and that's that's definitely something she'd have to
deal with. But I think, you know, that's why she
also needs to be looking for another job. She needs
to be looking for and it's I don't know, you know,
depends on the side of the company and what that
HR team really looks like, but they should be looking
out or and doing an investigation. If they get her
on her lying about her degree, then she doesn't necessarily
(10:13):
have to talk about the sleeping to the top.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Yeah, that's true, that is true. Yeah, thank you, Heather,
have a good day.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
Thank you too much.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
I love you too.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
A lot of people on the text team to agree
that it's it's it's not about well, one person says,
not about winning. It's about exposing I guess. But everyone
else is in get another job and then blow them up. Yes,
I feel like you have the key. Is the key
thing here, girl is get another job. I know you
have been loyal for seven years to this company. I
know you probably enjoy your work. You want to grow there,
(10:42):
but if they are not in a position to value you, you.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Have to leave. Yeah yeah, yeah, thanks you too. Blackmail First, Oh,
look at this guy. Let me look at this guy.
A fresh show is on
