Speaker 1 (00:02):
I's ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show. Hey, Laurie, good morning, Welcome Hi. So it's
waiting by the phone. We're trying to figure out what's
going on with this woman Kylie, who you met and
I guess went out with. So fill us in on
kind of what happened and where we are now, Laurie.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Okay, Well, I found Kylie on Riah and we started
chatting and we eventually went on two dates. The first
one we just got drinks, but it went really well.
So on the second one, we met up for dinner
and after that we went back to my place and
(00:40):
we actually weren't planning to have a sleepover because I
had to work in the morning, but Kylie just ended
up falling asleep and I didn't want to like wake
her up, you know, again, this is really just our
second date, and I was just like, I guess I'll
just kind of leave her, so she slept through the night.
I eventually went to bed also, and I don't know
(01:01):
what's going on now though, because when I got up,
you know, we said goodbye. I went to work and everything,
and I haven't heard from her since, and I thought
everything went fantastic. I really did, and so I'm kind
of bewildered about what's going on now.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Okay, all right, so you haven't heard from her since
the sleepover. That was kind of benign, but nonetheless, you
wake up, it's goodbye, and then you expected that she
might text or call or something for another day, but
you haven't received that.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Yeah, totally, Like she clearly felt comfortable enough, just kind
of you know, sleeping comfortably all through the night in
my home, and then the next day like I haven't.
I just haven't heard anything.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, and I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
I don't feel like I did anything, you know, like
I've been racking my brain. I thought everything went really well.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah, that is strange. So let's see if we can
get Kylie on the phone. You'll be on the phone
as well. We'll ask these questions for you. At some point,
you're welcome to jump in. And you know, again, we're
always hoping that we can fix things and set you
guys up on another day that we pay for.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Sound good.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
That sounds great, Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Let's see what happens next. Part two of Waiting by
the phone.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
After this song on the Fred Show, Good Morning, it's
the Fred Show, Part two of Waiting by the phone.
Hey Laurie, Yeah, all right, welcome back. Hey, let's call Kylie.
You guys met on a dating app. You went out,
had a great time, she spent the night. Nothing really happened,
but you woke up the next day, you know, pleasantries,
see you later. You have not heard from her since,
(02:22):
and you want to know what's going on?
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Yeah, I do.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Let's call her now. Good luck, Lorie, thanks so much. Hello.
Hi is this Kylie?
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Hey? Yeah, hey, Kylie, good morning. My name is Fred.
I'm calling from the Fred Show, the morning radio program.
The whole crew is here, and I have to tell
you that we are on the radio right now, and
I would need your permission to continue with the calls. Okay,
with chat for just a couple of minutes, not too
much of your time.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Yeah, of course, okay, okay, cool, Thank you very much.
We'll see if you're in this good of a mood
here in just a second.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
But we're calling on behalf of a woman who I
guess you went on a date with named Laurie. You
met her on Riah the dating app. Do you remember, Laurie.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Oh my gosh, yeah, oh, oh my gosh. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
So she told us that you guys had a great time,
and I guess you guys want to fall asleep at
her place or whatever, and but she hasn't heard from
you since she was hoping to Uh why is it.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Why haven't you reached out? What's going on? They told
you guys, that's oh okay.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Well we yeah, we did meet on Riah and we
went out and had some drinks. And then the second
time that we met, we you know, had some drinks again,
and then we met at we like slept. I slept
better place. Basically, I slept better place. Nothing happened, It
was all all fine. But then her alarm went off
in the morning, so I woke up and I saw
(03:49):
that she had this pencil skirt on and the office attire,
so she had slept in her office clothes and then
went to work. It was so weird. It was like,
felt like the psychopath does that. I don't have any
interest in that or moving forward.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
I mean, I've heard of people like laying their outfits
out for the next day before they go to bed.
So she went as far as you fall asleep, she
goes as far as to put on like your blazer
or whatever and then sleep in it so that all
she had to do in the morning was just get
up and walk out.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
That's smart. Smart, Yeah, that is not smart morning, it's weird.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Ja.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Yeah it's her bed, Harry, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Not her bed, but like you sweat when you sleep,
and like, yeah, they're all around.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Yeah, the next twenty minutes of sleep is the next
twenty minutes.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
I'm comfortable with that or how uncomfortable? Let me bring
Laurie and I KINDI I forgot to mention that Lori
is here.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Laurie. When did you pick up this habit?
Speaker 1 (04:46):
I mean, I've heard of some weird stuff, but I've
heard of people not showering in the morning. I've heard
of a lot of things, but like for time savings,
but you actually wear your work close to bed.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Okay, I know it's a little unusual, but I don't
see what the big deal is. It's like, I love
getting enough sleep, you know, I have to get up
early to work, and so this is just a system
I found. But it worked for me. It kind of
happened by accident the first time.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Like how much time does that really cut? Though? I mean,
how much more sleep. Are you getting okay?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Like, it's so much easier to pick out an outfit,
like in the evening when I'm still you know, awake
and aware, then in the morning when I'm trying to like,
you know, drag myself out of bed, and then just
even the thought of getting dressed in the morning is
sometimes so overwhelming, you know. And well, it's no, I
(05:39):
didn't have my shoes on.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
I did.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
I occasionally sleep in a skirt. Sometimes I sleep in pants, obviously,
But I just don't see what the big deal is.
It saves me time, It works for me. It's not
hurting anybody. Like I don't I don't get white.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
I'm that yeah. I mean, I have like dedicated bedclothes,
and I have dedicated low's clothes, and I don't know.
And that's not even what bothers me. It's the fact
that I could just in my mind, I just envision
like you and a in some sort of dress like
hose and everything just ready for the next day. I
think it's kind of strange.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Hey, she's saving time.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
I still shower every day like a normal person. I
just do my shower that you mean before you know,
You're right, I've never heard of that, get my stuff
on and then I'm ready to go and I can
sleep in a little bit longer. It's not I don't
think it's that. Like, I know it's unusual, but I
don't think it's like psychotic.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
You know, like Friday night, are you wearing Mondays outside?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
No?
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Of course not. Rufo, You're so so ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
This isn't because you know. This isn't because I like
it. It's because it lets me sleep longer on workdays. On
the weekends, I'm totally normal.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
We get up early and I'm before that. But but
I for the more sleep thing. But it's not going
to happen like that. Okay, look, I can see why
that might be kind of a jarring thing to witness.
But kindie, any chance that you would give Lauria another
another chance, another date, maybe on the weekend when she
doesn't do this.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
What do you do if you woke up and you
saw someone like just like super ready for work?
Speaker 3 (07:13):
I thought, it's like, it's not freaks me out the brunch.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
It freaks me out too much.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
I don't I don't difference. I don't want to go.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Okay, right, tells that any printed Laurie, look, but I
guess whatever works for you, but it's not going to
be a match. So thank you both for your time,
best of luck to both of you.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Thank you
