Speaker 1 (00:02):
Ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the Fred Show.
Hey Damien, good morning, Welcome to the show. How are you,
good morning, good morning, I'm good. Okay, good well you're
you think maybe you're being ghosted though by this one passy,
So what's going on with this? With this situation, we
got to know how you met, tell us about any
dates that you've been on, and then where things are now.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Okay, it was It was kind of the coolest thing
I've ever done in my life. We were I was
just hanging out at a bar and I saw the
gorgeous girl and I had a couple of drinks and
we started talking, danced a little bit, and I finally
I was I was joking around.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
I was about to go.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I was going to a wedding the following weekend, and
I was like, hey, do you want to go on
a first date to a wedding? And she said, yeah,
that sounds good.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
And I was honest with you, that's uh, that's that
is bold because I assume you knew a lot of
people at the wedding, So that's kind of like, you know,
you're bringing her into enemy territory here. I mean, this
is a person that you barely know, beating a bunch
of people who you do know. I mean, I'm presumably
family and all of that, but nonetheless you're like, sure,

(01:13):
come to the wedding, and she goes, great, you sound
like you seem like you'd be a good time, so
you went yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I was honestly, I was a little surprised that she
said yes. I was sort of joking, but you know,
and then when she said yes, I was like, I'm
just gonna go with it. So I hit her up,
and you know, we really we went and with my
friend's wedding and it was awesome and we had a
great time. I really really like her. She's really funny
and she's smart and beautiful. But I knew what you

(01:43):
were saying is true.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
It might have been too much, too fast, and she
may have gotten I don't know, like uh, intimidated or
scared away or something, because I haven't heard from her since,
and I really like her.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Okay, I don't know. Yeah, I mean I see both
I see this both ways. I mean, it's it's bold
that you know everybody there and she doesn't. But also
there's drinking and there's dancing, and I don't know, it
can be kind of weird to go alone. I go
to a lot of weddings alone, so I don't know.
I can see why you'd want someone there with you.
And if she's fun and she could make the knife better. Nonetheless,

(02:15):
whatever happened at this wedding, she's not calling you back
for another date, which you're surprised by. And that's where
we come in. We're gonna call this woman, Cassie. We're
going to see if we can get her on the
phone ask these questions for you. You'll be on the
phone as well, and at some point you're welcome to
jump into the call. And the hope here is that
we can figure out what's going on, straighten it out,
set you guys up on. I guess what would be

(02:36):
the first proper date, and we'll pay for you.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Okay, awesome, Thank you, guys.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
I appreciate. Let's see what's going on. Part two of
Waiting on the phone in two minutes after Sabrina Carpenter,
we're back Fred's show. Hey, Damien, Yeah, all right, let's
call Cassie. Welcome back. By the way, you guys, you
met at a bar. You'd had a few drinks and
you say, hey, do you want to go to this
wedding with me? And she goes, sure, I'll go to
the wedding. Here, I am doing both roles here, do

(03:02):
you want to go to a wedding? I got a
wedding with you? Are you sure? Anyway, So you guys
went and you thought it was a great time. You
were excited to see her again. Except you've called, you've texted,
you've reached out for another date. She is not responding.
She appears to be ghosting you. You want to know.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Why, Yes, exactly, Thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
All right, let's call her right now. Good luck, Damien,
thank you. Hello. Hi, is this Cassie.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Yes, this is Cassie.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Hey, Cassie, good morning. My name is Fred. I'm calling
from the Fred's Show, the Morning radio show, and I
have to tell you that we are on the radio
right now, and I would need your permission to continue
with the calls. And okay, if we chat for just
a second on the show, you can hang up anytime, okay, sure, well, well,
good thank you very much. We're calling on behalf of
a guy who reached out to us. His name is Damian.
I guess you recently met and went to a wedding

(03:56):
together one of his friend's weddings.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
You remember this guy, yes, I remember him?

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Okay, So what happened? Because he called us and told
us that he was excited to have met you and
you guys, I had a I guess a good time
at a bar and then he said, do you want
to go to my friend's wedding? You agreed, you guys went.
He thought that went well, except he says he hasn't
heard from you since. So what happened?

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Yeah, we did meet at a bar. He approached me,
and I thought at first he was just joking about
the wedding, but turns out he wasn't. And I figured
why not. I have a ton of nice dresses to wear,
so might as well give a reason to wear them,
you know. So I went and it was fun Like
at first, it was really fun, but everyone at the
wedding kind of made it weird and it was just awkward. So,

(04:43):
I don't know. People kept coming up to me and saying, oh,
you must be Nicole, I must I heard so much
about you, and I kept getting referred to as Nicole.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Yeah. Yeah. The problem with that is that your name
is Cassie.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Yes exactly, So that's.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
That's an issue there. Okay, So everyone's coming up to
you asking you if you were calling you Nicole? Do
we find out who Nicole is?

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Well, that's the thing. I didn't really find out who
Nichole was because he kind of I think he was
being untruthful when I confronted him about it, because at first,
you know, I didn't want to make it weird and
I wanted him to enjoy the night and have fun,
and I didn't don't I didn't want to like talk
about it at the wedding at first, but it just
got to a point where everybody was referring to me

(05:28):
as Nicole, and everyone just kept coming up to me saying,
I've heard so many great things about you, Nicole. It's
so nice to finally meet you Nicole. And I just
got to a point where I had to say something, So.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Did you become Nicole? Were you like, oh great? Or
were you like did you tell all these people like
I'm Cassie. I don't know who they all that that be?

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Is?

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Like?

Speaker 4 (05:46):
At first, I didn't correct people, but then I started
correcting people because because I felt kind of like out
of place to begin with. So I was like, oh, Okay, yes, sir,
I'm Nicole. But then I'm like, who is Nicole?

Speaker 1 (05:57):
And what did he tell you? When you asked? Yeah,
when you asked, what did he say?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
He was like trying. He was like, oh, I don't
know who Nicole is. That I've never like, I've never
heard of her. He's just acting like he doesn't know
who Nicole is, which is clearly I mean, that's not
that it can't be the truth. I know. I felt
like he was making me feel crazy because.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Because yeah, well this is why I feel like I
love feeling like Maury, because I'm going to bring him out.
Damien's here. I forgot to mention the Damien this here.
I'm very forgetful. I get caught up in a story
I forgot to tell you. So, Damien, who the hell
is Nicole? And why are we not coming clean about it? Oh?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah, Nicole's my ex wife and oh yeah, I just.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
But wait, okay, what but hold on? These are your
friends and your family. That's your ex wife, and people
are walking up to like they just heard about her.
How long were you guys married? Like twenty minutes?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I don't I don't really want to talk about it
on the radio.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Oh you don't want to talk about it. Okay, Well
then why did you call the radio? We are talking
about it on the radio. Okay, So what did you
have like an overnight marriage or something? I mean, because
I well, it was.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Yeah it was, It wasn't long, and uh, I just
didn't want to talk about it at the wedding.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
That's why I kind of right.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Okay, So you had a short wedding of a short
marriage basically with someone who I guess you just met,
and everybody thought you were still with this person, didn't
know you were married to her for a brief time,
and at no point did you think that like maybe
either correct these folks or like maybe tell some people

(07:35):
that you knew at this wedding who you were bringing
so that there was no confusion.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah, I probably could have handled it better, for sure.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
You don't say, why would you even invite someone else
at this wedding when you had this situation going on?

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Because common sense is not common.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
This man, My god, now are you actually it's in
the work. Okay, So you're you're married, married, nobody knows,
no one knows. Your friends don't even know that this
woman is not your wife. You're actually still not divorced,
but you're inviting other women? Wow?

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Wow, bro, it was a really great wedding.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Whose wedding the one you went to with with Cassie
or the one you went to when you got married?
Which which wedding was so great? The one I went
to was cass where's Nicole?

Speaker 4 (08:30):
I need? Was just as great? Maybe you want to here.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Tight light NBC? Do I need to get my friend
Keith Morrison up here and investigate this? Where the hell
is this person?

Speaker 4 (08:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Honestly, you don't want to talk about it. Did you
not think this was gonna What did you think was
gonna happen? Like? You didn't think this was going to
come up? I mean I can.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
I'll talk to Cassie about it, but you know, not here,
not now?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Oh not. I was gonna say, well, you had a
tough time getting a hold of her apparently because we didn't.
So all right, So Cassie, I'll ask the question. I
know the answer. But this man's still married. You forgot
to tell you about that. He forgot to tell you.
You know that you might be confused with another woman
who no one's ever met, that he's married to. Wild

(09:16):
do you want to go out with him again. He
sounds like a real Drea.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Don't want to go act with him.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah, I don't know. If you ever take the guy's
call and you get the whole story, call us back
and tell us because I would love to know what's
actually happening here, because this sounds shady and dishonest and
messed up.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Yeah, it sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. I
think I'm gonna bow out, all.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Right, Damien. Well, I hope your wife is okay, Nicole,
wherever she is, whoever she is, and maybe get divorced,
and then maybe straighten things out with your friends before
you bring a stranger to a wedding and everyone calls
her by the wrong name.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yeah, she sounds like a nice person, though person Nicole or.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
I started to get to say about she probably lit
up the room, right, Oh see, we don't want that.
No lighting up any rooms. That's how they wind up dead. No, okay,
I don't know. I'm very confused by my head actually
hurts to be honest with you, But Cassie, thank you
for answering the film. Best of luck to you. Damien.
I don't know what kind of mess you're in, but

(10:20):
I hope you find Jesus than The Entertainment reports six
