Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yes, he's ever been left waiting by the phone.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the Fred Show. Amy, Good morning, Welcome to the program.
How are you hi? Doing pretty good?
Speaker 3 (00:11):
How are you doing?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Do it all right? What's going on with this dude, Chad?
We got to have kind of all the info. How
did you guys meet? Tell us about any dates you've
been on, and then where things are now and how
we can help you.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
So basically, you know, we met on the apps like
normal people, and we did the usual match you know,
we had a lot of flirty text exchange numbers, you know.
Then we planned a date and honestly, it was like
the best date of my life.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
We had a great time. The best date of your life?
Is that you overstating? Are you serious? Like it was
truly the best date you've ever been on in your
whole life.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
I mean honestly, Like he got tickets to a comedy
show and we had dinner at this place that I
had mentioned like once that I wanted to try. He
planned the whole thing. He tried really hard. It was
like a real date date. He's I mean, uber like
tons of efforts. I like the effort though, I do
because I'll admit, you know, people. Me by people, I
(01:07):
mean me get kind of lazy about dates, especially with
someone I've never met from the apps, you know, Like
I don't I feel I would feel weird asking somebody
for their address to send them an uber if I
didn't know them. I'd also feel weird giving my address
to a stranger. So there's that. But I can't say
I haven't.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
I need to do a little I need to work
a little harder and figure out, like where you want
to go, because I just I just assume, like the
place I pick is fine, you know, it will be
good or whatever. But I should I should do a
little more research. Where do you want to go? What
do you want to do? You know kind of thing
as opposed to just a standard. Really appreciate it because
it's like, you know, first date on a dating app,
it's like, hey, two drinks, you know what I mean, Like,
(01:45):
let's meet for drinks. That that way we both have
it out. Now, second, third, fourth date. Now you got
to start planning, you know, doing some research or whatever.
But I like this guy, so he was really putting
his best foot forward. It was a great date, except
I assume he hasn't called you since the date.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Well exactly, and like, you know, the dinner was awesome,
and after dinner I actually invited him back to my
place and yeah, exactly, like you know, like we were
having agree and he was all about it. And then
when we got to my place, he like didn't stay
very long, which was very surprising. And then he's like, oh,
(02:19):
I have an early morning and he hadn't said that
anything about an early morning earlier, so it was very weird.
And you know, we talked about going out for another date,
and but he hasn't reached out, and like now he's
not responding to me, and like honestly, and then I
like checked the acts and he unmatched me.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Wow, that's quite the turn of events then, and the
whole I got an early morning thing that old Diddy.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yeah, I just I feel like something happened, but I
can't imagine what. Like the date was so good, I
just I don't know what could have happened to make
him ghost to me, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah, Okay, well that's where we come in. We're gonna
play a song and come back in two minutes or so,
and we're gonna call this guy Chad. You'll be on
the phone. We're gonna ask some questions, see if we
can figure out what's up, and hopefully we can straighten
this out and set you guys up on another date
and pay for it, which we have done a couple
of times. It's rare, but it has happened, and maybe
there's something going on and we can we can fix
it right now. Okay, let's see what's going on in
(03:21):
part two of waiting at a phone right after a
shaboozie back in two minutes, it's the Fred Show. Bidy Haadi, Montek,
Spencer Prett on the show. In ten minutes, the Fred
Show is on the radio on the iHeart app New
and Improved Live at any time. Search for the Fred
Show on demand. Amy, let's call Chad. You met this
guy in a dating app and you just you described
a couple of minutes ago that this was a really
great date, that he he sent you an uber and
(03:43):
you went to a comedy show and a restaurant you
wanted to go to and the chemistry was great and
back to your house afterwards. But then he kind of
left abruptly, you said, said he had to get up
early the next day, and then you haven't heard from
him since. So you go from saying this is the
best date I've ever been on to where is this guy?
And where's the disconnect? Truly, it's the weirdest thing. Doesn't
(04:03):
any times to me? Well, let's call him now and
figure this out. Good luck?
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Hello, Hi is this Chad? This is Chad. Hey Chad,
good morning. My name is Fred. I'm calling from the
Fred Show, the Morning radio Show. The whole crew is here,
and I do have to tell you that we are
on the radio right now, and I would need your
permission to continue with the call. Is that okay? If
which ever? For just a second, I'm on the radio
right right.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
I don't know, man, I mean it sounds kind of weird.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Well i'll tell you what. Well, it's kind of weird. Honestly,
I'll give you that. Let me tell you what's going on,
and you can hang up anytime you want. Sound good? Okay? Yeah,
Now I'm just gonna keep going before you do hang up.
So we're calling on behalf of a woman named Amy.
I guess you met her on one of the dating
apps and you guys recently went out. Do you remember
meeting Amy? Yeah? So she called us and really had
(05:01):
amazing things to say about you and about the date
that you guys went on. Thought it was a great time.
I really enjoyed being with you. I shouldn't say like that.
I guess meeting you and hanging out. But she says,
now she can't get a hold of you. You've unmaged her,
you're ghosting. So how is it that she had, you know,
such an amazing time and then you now are trying
(05:23):
to disappear basically what happened?
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Well, I mean, I don't know if I should really
get on again.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
All this on as like in a radio call. It's weird.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
It's like, listen, I think it's great, man.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
And we had a great date. You know, it was cool.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
She invited me back to her place.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
You know, she was awesome.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
It was on.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
And then she showed me around and it was all
standard until she took me to her second bedroom and
lit some candles and then it took.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Me a little bit to adjust to the lighting. But uh,
she said this like homemade altar of sorts or something.
And then alter yet had all these figurines on there,
and I asked what they were doing, And.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
So that's a fair question. What are they doing? Saying
all this, it's really weird.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
She said she needed to make an offering to.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Her dolls, voodoo dolls, so she knew. Well he did leave,
he had to get up early immediately after he saw offerings,
and she said yeah.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
She said they were for like her family and her
friends who passed, and she interacts with them daily, asking
them and her ancestors to guide her. And so, you know,
I noticed some had a ton of pins in them,
and she kind of quietly said those were her most
recent ex boyfriends.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Would you say, let me bring Amy in, but go ahead.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
One didn't have a head on it, and one, you know,
one appear to have like human hair on it. And
I try not to freak out, and I said I
had to get going. So you know, I hadn't seen
anything like this, like unless it was like a horror.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Movie or something. You know. Well, Chad, I was getting
to the part where I was going to take Amy's
on the phone as well, which now concerns all of us.
And I'm sorry, I'm very forgetful. Okay, I get wrapped
up in the story Amy, what no head, human hair, pins, dolls, offerings,
What are we doing?
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Okay, he's overreacting like it, Come on, yes, I get
that it's all startling at first, but seriously, like they're
not all bad.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
And like, fine, on a minute, what are the bad ones?
Speaker 6 (07:46):
If someone does me wrong, like you know, I'll make
a doll and I asked my loss you know, spirit
guides to get revenge, you know, making some kind of
sacrifice like food.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
Crystals, money. Oh, and like look, I've never wished death
on anyone. That's nice, although one did die, but I'm.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
On the radio right now.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Related related Look, I mainly just bad luck in love, okay,
And like I mainly just wish bad luck on them
if they if people mistreat me.
Speaker 7 (08:20):
But why show that to anyone like at all? Like
like why what common and normal? Like you know, you
get rated, not be affected?
Speaker 2 (08:30):
And like human heir? Was that was that your actual
exis human? Hair on one of the dolls on one
of the dolls that he described, was that was that
like a real person.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
I mean, are you going to judge me if I
say yes.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yeah, I certainly am.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
No, check your hair, just whatever your name is, check
your hair.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
I just look you were like, hey, you are allowed
to believe whatever you want, of course, and and and
worship or celebrate or whatever whatever makes you feel good,
you know, minimal judgment. I just don't. I don't know
why I would show that to somebody right off the bat,
because this is what happens. Now. This dude doesn't understand
it or appreciate it, or he got scared, or he
saw a headless doll in your home on an old
(09:10):
term with candles and he's like, what's going on? I mean,
am I right? Chad? Hey? Amy? How are you? Yeah? Yeah?
I mean how nice he's being now? It's so nice?
Oh yeah, are you missing a look of hair? Miny chance? Chad? Listen.
I had a great time. It was really great.
Speaker 5 (09:26):
Just like I don't know if I should be talking
about this anymore. And and uh, you know, I mean
Amy's really great.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
She's really great. Yeah, she's great. She is, Yes, yeah,
I mean, honestly, what a fine human being she sounds
like to me. Honestly.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
I mean, and Amy, I mean you're really great. Like
we see each other out and everything, you know, we'll
be cool. And and I mean I think I've come
I decided. I think I'm gay, you know, so that
you just have you know, really, the thing.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
It's on me. You know yeah.
Speaker 7 (09:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Also, yeah, so like you went out, you realize I
actually am not even in here what she has to offer.
So it's not even her fault, right, right, that's not
her fault.
Speaker 5 (10:02):
I'm not into what you've got. It's like it's a
it's a thing, right, you know.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Like I see and you made this discovery. So it
really is nothing personal, Amy, It's just it turns out
the only reason it's not gonna work, right, right, it
turns out he just has a different interest than he
thought he had, Amy. That makes sense, doesn't it please?
I guess so, But like you didn't just tell me that.
I can't believe that worked, okay, right, well cha he did.
(10:29):
I think he just came to that conclusion, right, I
just think I just started figuring it out. It's lost
for a while. And and you're a great person. We
had a great time.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
It was really a great night, you know, and I
really appreciate everything you've offered. But I just it just
wasn't It didn't. That's why it didn't feel right, you know,
like because yeah, it has nothing to do with it.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
The headless hair, Harry Dole, it's real hair. And okay, yeah,
well anyway, Amy, Look, we have your we have your answer,
and turns out, you know, it's just he was born
that way and and and he just discovered that actually,
So Chad, thank you for answering. I wish you the
very best out there. And Amy, I'm sorry it's not
(11:08):
going to work out. Sorry, thank you. And I just
I hope that we're are we leaving on good terms,
Like I just want to make sure that we're good
because we did try and help, you know, and like
I mean, you didn't get me a second day, right,
but we tried really hard, and like I want you
to find success like I would do just about anything. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay,
(11:31):
I'm a little nervous now for all of us. All Right,
good luck guys. Thanks Heidi Montek, Spencer Prett on the
show after flow riding in two minutes spreads show
