Speaker 1 (00:00):
A fresh show. This is what's trending.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Top story today, Top trending news story. Rufeo and Jess
have a new baby boy. Yeah, his name.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Is Clark. No, it's not. It is after a superhero.
Well I was going to say it's not.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I was waiting for some form of reference to a
street name or something. But no, Parkerley Parker. Baby's name
Parker Lee. And everyone's doing great. So that was exciting
that happened at the end of the show yesterday. But
we none of us had a name. Comfort Can we
all admit now that knew no one of the name.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
No one knew the name they had thrown around Parker.
But I didn't think that was going to be the name.
I didn't know that. But no, she said she did
kind of know. No, I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
They told it.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
They talked about it. He talked about it like a
year ago or two years ago. No, no, don't tell me.
So No, those two, I think are the type that
keep it to themselves. Like me.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
I blurted it out them in and I had the name,
but they like to keep it to themselves and do
a little reveal party.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
But didn't, Well, you're right, didn't Hobby give away the
name and your baby shower.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Yeah he did. Yeah, so you didn't even do it
this time? He did it? No one chance. I wanted
only chance.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
We're all kind of standing outside, you know, like, and
somebody I think was Rufio Goes. I think he just
because he gave a speech. Yeah, I didn't even know
he was there, Hobby. I didn't even see him. What
I didn't see him one time at your baby shower
and then all of a sudden, here comes Hobby. I'm like,
when I see him to show up, and then and
then apparently he just blurts out the name of the kid.
And you didn't want that to happen yet, And Rufie's like, dude,
I think I think he just said the name of
(01:31):
the baby.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah he did. I didn't have a plan, but it
wasn't that. That wasn't the place.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
And I was still stoked that Ashland had told us
that it was a baby boy that they were having,
even though he told me that two months ago. I'm like,
I know, I know. He's like, dude, I told you
that two months ago. I'm like, oh, yeah, I forgot.
I don't know how we do. I don't know, I
don't know half the time what day it is in here.
I don't know what we're doing. I have no idea,
Like right now we're sitting in the complete in total darkness.
(01:57):
I'm not I'm not sure what that is. Ruby is
not here to on the lights on. So oh yeah,
well that's all right.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
It's nice. It actually is kind of nice. Like it Okay,
the vibe is good.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah, what's that kind of day? You know, it's just
that kind of dame. Anyway, congratulations to Rufio, So make
his day and go give him a little following a
like and it's a beautiful child.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Another one, So what is he? Rufio? Radio correct? Yes,
I don't even know. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
I followed him and I follow I just know. Oh
trust me, if I if I didn't, i'd hear about it.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Oh, I know. I'm the first one to lead.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
That is everyone in here adequately followed and given enough attention.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yes, oh yeah, I got to.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Unblock you on Twitter because when my Twitter got a hacked,
Jason tried to stand on business and the hacker, yeah,
trying to sell a random laptop on my Twitter. By
the way, I was so disappointed when I finally got
my Twitter back. At the number of people that were
like sure all by that, I'm like, gosh, when did
my Twitter become Craigslist, marketplace or whatever like TikTok shop, Like,
(02:55):
I'm not. I'm not selling my belongings and we haven't
got you support your small we haven't gotten It's not
that desperate yet. I haven't started selling my things yet.
But you know, man, never say never. Oh no, I
wouldn't ever say never. No, one of these days I'm
going to sell everything and just go live like a
monk somewhere.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I really am. One of these days.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
That's when you'll know when I when you start seeing
stuff up there, like my couch that's really me and
I'm really then you'll know that I'm making a swift exit.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
You guys don't want that couch.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
I got the stain protection on it, though, so anything
comes off or it's free or something cool. Oh yeah,
I bought the extra coverage. Okay, Probably whatever I bought
for my couch, it's probably the same thing that's already
on your car that you pay more for when you
know if you fall for it, which I think I've
probably done in my life. When buying a car, like, oh,
the pain protection, I got to have that, you know,
(03:49):
and it turns out it's already on there. Oh, the
the undercarriage ceiling, I have that, you know, it's the
already comes on there. And then that's probably the same
with it whatever I bought for my couch, but it's
it's a cloth material and you just never know. But
when I bought it, they were like, nothing can stain
this thing, like any If you can't get a stain off,
we'll come over and take it. I was like, I'm
(04:11):
gonna need this, and it was and I did need it.
Otherwise I could be like every other grandmother in the
Midwest and just cover it with plastic and no one's
allowed to sit on it.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
We could do that too.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
We don't do politics on the show very often, really
at all, but I just we did the one the
other day about the FM both in twenty twenty four
sign that the woman, you know, she won the right
to have that in her yard. I think that sentiment
is shared by a lot of people. And then, but
this is where we're at in the presidential election. The
man who is going to run the United States of America.
(04:46):
This is where we are as of yesterday. Former President
Donald Trump has challenged President Joe Biden to take part
in another debate, as well as a golf match, where
the former president would donate one million dollars any charity
if Biden won. I don't care what side of this
you If you watched the last debate, it was a
total disaster, and there was at some point a squabble
(05:06):
between the two men, arguably two of the most powerful
men in the world, about who was a better golfer.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
So embarrassing, it really is. We are embarrassing, it really is.
The whole thing was embarrassing, and that's where we are now.
Trump said, I'm officially challenging Crooked Joe I let you
love the nicknames to an eighteen hole golf match, adding
that he would give Joe Biden ten strokes a side
and he'll give a million dollars to any charity he wants.
But he won't take the offer because he's all talk,
(05:34):
is what he says. Just both be presidents so they
could shut the hell off all day.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
I wants to be really good.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
I'm waiting for this the spirit of a good president
to appear upon us. I'm waiting for someone to be
like these two were out and been from you know,
bestowed on you from the heavens. Is it is a
simple is a fair minded, reasonable human being who's going
to run the country and just sort of let people
do what they got to do to a certain extent.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
I mean, I'm waiting for it.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
I'm waiting for it to be like from the heavens
just you know, just kidding these two. You thought, oh, no,
we were just joking. Look at this person over here.
This person is great, They're so nice and they care
about people and yeah in there, yeah, common sense, look
right here, vote for this person. No, I don't think
that's going to happen.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
What if we got a king or something? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
No, I mean there was literally a press conference yesterday
where reporters were asking, like, so if our president is
only because apparently the rumor is our president's only like
paying attention between ten am and four pm or something?
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Yeah, which no, I'm insane.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
I mean it was more like four am to ten
amrous but yeah, but then some report literally a real
question in the White House was so like what happens
after four night night? Like, what happens if we get
attacked after four and you know what, the lady, the
press secretary, she just left. She's walked out of them.
She's like, I don't have an answering happens. I don't
have an answer for you.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
She literally closed her book like a like a third
grade teacher and just walked out. You know what, over
my hours? Yeah, exactly. The guys, Look, I'm not working
one extra hour. Nope, I can't do it. I guess
stuff to do.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Guys.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
We have more controversy this morning. A contender in this
year's Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contest allegedly cheated it
to beef up his score.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Get it. His name is Nick Wherry, and he's.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Being accused of stealing from other plates during the July
fourth contest in order to inflate his tally of eating
hot dogs. So on the day of the competition, his
score was a respectable forty six point seventy five hot dogs.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
When they called I guess the.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
End of the contest, he came in fourth place. But
fifty apparently is like the number, that's like the respectable number.
He wouldn't have been the winning number. But if you're
a competitive hot dog eating person. Then I guess fifty
is where you're trying to be. And so at the end,
his official tally was fifty one point seventy five.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
He wouldn't have won with that.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
But now they're saying that he has he took other
people's empty plates and that that came into like they
recalculated his score because he made it look like he
ate more because they're like remnants. I don't know the
judges look at and this whole thing. Anyway, he apparently
stole other people's remnants and got credit for the hot
dog he didn't eat.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
There's a major controversy. Guys. Wow, this is very serious.
I'm too serious. Yeah, well, I love a hot dog.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Look, I've I've been part of two eating competitions in
my life. One was it was like bows, like those
little Chinese or I don't know if they're Asian roles
or whatever they are. That was one of the most
disgusting things I've ever seen. Sure, I mean because people
and I don't know what the I think the prize
was more more of them, which was wild to me.
I think the prize was like, when you win, you
(08:55):
get to eat more of these things, which I was like, okay,
but people were they're literally like diluting them in water,
big pictures of water, so that they just sort of
roll like slim down so they can consume more of them.
And the other was the chicken wing eating contest in
this room. Well it was downstairs, but it was still
on this show. Truly one of the more between Rufie
(09:15):
and Paulina, one of the more discussing things I've ever seen.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Yeah, I was disgusted by myself that you guys.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Started like hiding wings in the in the blue cheese
so that we wouldn't see. I mean, yeah, there's a
controversy there too.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Oh my face at the end of it.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Just the feeling was it was as gross to experience
as I think it was to participate.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
So yeah, you're sick. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Despite a deadly heat wave, hundreds of Europeans and US
adventurers are still going to Death Valley National Park for
vacation because the pictures are good. Apparently French, Spanish, English,
the Swiss tourists left their air conditioned rental cars this
week could take photographs of the barren landscape and it's
record high temperatures like one hundred and twenty degrees or something,
(09:55):
and people are still flocking to this place to go
so they can get their picture for Instagram or whatever else.
And in Scientific News Today and what's trending you guys,
researchers found evidence that physical features, particularly breast size, can
influence competitive behavior among women. The study found that women
are more likely to disrespect other women who have larger breasts.
(10:20):
Women are more likely to engage in rival what is
this verbal and the indirect aggression towards their rivals? Those
with D cup breasts closely followed by those with C
cup breasts. In contrast, women with A and B cup
breasts were less likely to be targets of competitive behaviors.
(10:42):
So yeah, I guess women, You guys aren't nice to
people who have bigger boobs than you have?
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Now, who are the researchers right? Who would love to know?
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Right?
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Like them? What it just has researchers? And are the
big boobed women mean to other people? Or they just
take it? Well? This was I guess.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Particularly, women may perceive those with larger breast is more
attractive to men and therefore more threatening his rivals. The
perception triggers competitive behaviors aimed at diminishing the attractiveness and
social standing of those perceived as rivals. Because everyone in
this room's got a decently sized chest, So.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Saying right, everybody, all of us, Yeah, every single one
of us.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
My belly button and my chest are connecting somewhere. I
can get a little chain and put them all together
in some way. Yeah. I always contend that I think
women are oftentimes you guys are worse to other women
than anyone else, Like, not in all cases, but I
see it all the time. I see it all the time.
Women are just terrible. Some can be terrible to other women.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, it's sad, and it is.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
It's like, yeah, a lot of people they're they're advocating
for one thing, and then they're tearing each other down,
and I'm like, what are you? Like?
Speaker 1 (11:54):
What are y'all doing? I don't like it.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
How can you be for female empowerment and then also
hate on another woman because she has bigger boobs than you,
And according to researchers, please don't be jealous of these boobs.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
I promise you it's not what you think. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
I just think researchers, like I've heard women cut other
women down worst that I've heard men cut other men down.
I would say, on average, it's terrible. I don't understand him.
You guys need to be nice to each Everyone needs
to be nice to each other. Come on, it's National
Pina Colada Day, National Kitten Day, and Chronic Disease Day.
(12:28):
Seven out of ten people suffer from a chronic disease,
which is a condition that lasts longer than a year.
I think that's where the boobs sagging to the belly
buttons all connected. I think that's yeah, I think that's chronic. Yeah,
I think that qualifies as chronic. But the chain, I
got this neat chain. It's cool, Like it's like a
friendship bracelet chain.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
You'll love it.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
See yeah, okay, let me take my shirt off. What
do I do with all this stomach? If you haven't
been listening for twenty minutes, then you don't know what
any of this is about. The entertainment report you assuming
it's away friend show
