Madison's classic rock Good afternoon Officially Gang, it has been hanging out and a
Wednesday, as I mentioned, ahump day across America's dry Land, which
means they led it is out sellwhat a one point five I b af
fen making our time together official onthis hump day across America's derry Land.

(00:25):
And yes it's a Wednesday, whichmeans time for Wednesday wheels with our friends
over at Middleton Ford, Middleton onDoors and Middleton Motor Sports. This week
we take a listen to a portionof one of Middleton Motorsports latest podcasts.
If you are in to modifying yourvehicles, maybe even to get those out
on the racetrack, This a fascinatingconversation all about why people seem to modify

(00:50):
bm w's Why is that the brandeverybody wants to modify? We're gonna find
out here again. This is JimFruschancy from Middleton Motorsports and Mike Polly,
the service director from Middleton Ford whoalso plays a big time role in Middleton
Motorsports. Let's take a listen.I've been always wanting to have this conversation
with you since I started here. You are the service director for Middleton Ford

(01:12):
and a huge part of Middleton Motorsports, you know, and basically what we
want to talk about today is theBMW brand. Why do you think there's
so many folks out there looking tomodify their BMW's. I think there's just
a lot of parts available and tunabilityto a lot of these BMW's. It's

(01:32):
just there's just so much available andthe cars are just exciting to drive,
right, And it's just like ifyou drive one, it just has a
different feel compared to like anything else. There's just a huge following too,
Like there's like so many events andpeople that get together for BMWs. There's
so many enthusiasts. There's car clubsacross the country. There's like literally like

(01:56):
chapters, like I mean, we'vegot the Badger Bach chapter here. Yes,
there's the Windy City BMW, whichI was a part of for many
years when I was down there, like anywhere you go, and then when
I was in Florida, I dida lot of training down there. There's
groups of BMW guys everywhere. It'slike, right, you can always find
a group that you'll fit in with. We've had Middleton Motorsports and modified and
we'll talk about your cars. Clearlythat's what we're here for. But we've

(02:19):
modified. Gosh. Since I've beenhere last like seven months, probably more
than a handful have come through, both late model and early model BMW.
So let's talk more about your historyand experience with BMW. I ended up
buying a full M three gutted shell. It was just literally a bare metal
shell, and I rebuilt it fromthe groundup because I had all the M

(02:40):
parts on my three series anyway,so I really rebuilt the whole car from
nothing, like there's no wire.So some of your original car parts are
some of the twenty five best partsare on that count. I would say,
there's very little after that thing, right right, right right. I
call it the Frankenstein build. It'sliterally just a whole bunch of right.

(03:01):
Let's talk a little bit of thejourney of you know, call it the
car you bought, the shell ofthe car, and the stages of where
it's come from to where it istoday. Because as I when I met
you and known you, I rememberthe E thirty six, as you know,
kind of this it was always arace car. It's not the race
car is today, but it wasalways a race car. So to put

(03:23):
like years in perspective here in twothousand and six, that's when I turboed
it. But back then hardly anythingwas running eighty five. And that's this
pump gass you did. It waslike less than a dollar a gallon back
then. Really, and so didyou have it like the availability of horse
power, Like do you have anyidea what you were pushing? Yeah,

(03:44):
it was like it was like sixforty four to six eighty back then.
Like the folks that want to drivetheir cars or think they're driving their cars
to the capability of the car onthe street are very dangerous to everyone else.
It is. You're more of awell I would say, I don't
want to speak for you, butbut and how lucky you are. But

(04:06):
at the end of the day, getting out on the track, it's a
great appear. Yeah, street racingnever good idea. If you're going to
modify your vehicle and get it orhave a drive really through its fullest capabilities,
you want to do that on aracetrack. That's a great Listen there,
gang, if you want to hearthat episode of Middleton Motorsports podcast in

(04:26):
its entirety. You can do thatwherever you enjoy your podcasts. Again,
it's called tuned in or it ison their YouTube channel as well, that
is Middleton Motorsports. And maybe you'reone of those people that are, you
know, considering modifying your vehicle toget it race ready. Whatever may be.
Gearheads out there, Middleton Motorsports ifyou've never checked them out yet,
do that their website once again,Middleton Motorsports dot com. And coming back

(04:51):
