with us. What's up, Rick, Yeah, we're traveling towards you guys
right now. Our audience is loveseighties, obviously, and that's the name
of the tour. I want myeighties tour. I can't believe how popular
our eighties is. Again, whatdo you think is the reason? I

(00:22):
think it was great music. Youknow, it's kind of overshadowed by hideous
haircutts and leg warmers, but there'sa great music. So I'm in great
memories, and I think people areresponding to that. The more weird and
dangerous the world gets, I thinkwe find shelter and the great music that
we loved as a kid. Iliked my Big Hair, Thank you very
much. We all did you knowyou're you're such a talented musician. Who

(00:47):
are you excited about that's on thistour with you? Oh? They're all
great, great, great artists. The Hooters and I were actually on Live
Ahead on the same in Philadelphia, the same stage, and Tommy tooch Old
is known for quite a while.I'm pull young. I've in a big
fan of for a long time.I loved his first record, so much

(01:08):
actually that I had his bass playerplay out La from London to play on
one of my records. That isamazing. And I'm amazed by your longevity,
the fact that you look amazing,by the way I think I read
that you're a vegetarians. I'm avegetarian. Well, I was vegan.
I don't really eat garry actually,which makes me not a vegetarian. I

(01:30):
was vegan and I lost too muchweight. I started. I felt great,
but I looked looked like hell.So I added fish back then.
Kind of Mediterranean diet, I think, is what I am. That's what
I do. Kind of they callit. I never called it anything until
they gave it a name somewhere inthe nineties. They called it pescatarian.
Yeah, pescutarian. I know everybody. Everybody loves the label, right exactly.

(01:52):
You look fantastic, look and soundexactly like you did before. I'm
not allowed to growl. Well, you're not doing what I do. I
just use botox and it's fantastic. So you've been to Saint Louis before I
have. I've been there a coupleof times. I think you're not afraid
of heights, are you, Iknow, but I have not been up

(02:13):
in the arch. Well, ifyou get a chance, I know you're
busy, but if you can,it's we're very proud of that arch and
it's actually higher than Paris's Eiffel Tower. Oh well, I've been up than
the Eiffel Tower and that kind offreaked me out a little bit. I
don't know about the arts. Wetake care of you. I promise that,
all right, thank you. Sothat everyone wants to come to this
tour, of course, what isit that you're excited about. It's a

(02:37):
great show, like Walter Walt hipsfrom everybody, and I get to play
a new song from Iver play theold song. But it's always fun to
play new stuff. We look forwardto the challenge. You're playing new music.
And I have an album out now, just came out on August Sport
called Automatic, and we do oneof the songs called Automatic. You need

(02:58):
to do more than one song becausenew stuff is great. Yeah, we're
only doing the second show, youknow, so we're going to a usually
two hours, so but yeah, one good for the short show you're doing.
About now, I think a littlemore than now, So of course,
the whole album automatic. You canget it. It's always dice for
everyone involved. If you pay forit. Yeah, I don't care if
people download it for free. Musician, you know, writers, right,

(03:23):
so that we could share with otherpeople. Never was about Yeah, I
just want people to hear the music. You know. You know there's all
these musicals done on artists, andI think you should have your story as
a music. Yeah. I thinkthey're looking at they've been looking into work
for a while. There's a beta couple of writers involved in doing something

(03:46):
like that. I've had a prettya pretty crazy life, very unusual,
and I wrote about my autobiography latelate at night. I think that's what
they started to get interested in doingsomething with it. If people that are
listening, if they get a chanceread the book, it's really good.
You are very interesting and very uniquelife. And you know what is the
one thing. My son's a musician, but he doesn't want to be on

(04:10):
stage. He's going to be ateacher. But you know somebody, Yeah,
I'm so proud of Satan. Hejust loves music and he wants to
share how to do it, composeit all that as a teacher. My
youngest son as a teacher, Ilove the fact that he picked a passion
over money, which is really rare. Well, you know, I mean,
you've got a passion has to comefirst, money will follow. I'm

(04:32):
being a musician does not necessarily meanmoney will follow, believe me. And
how is that? By the way, the ups the downs every musician,
I don't care how big, howsmall, who you are, you have
the ups and downs. What doyou do when you're in a down?
When you were in the down, what did you do to get back up
and to be positive? I lookedelsewhere. That's why I got into acting.

(04:55):
I think I started I wanted moreto do, and I started writing
books. So it's been say Ican git him a double writer for our

that our city, Saint Louis, was the most charitable in all their touring
