(00:00):
So I'm driving in today, andit was such a treacherous stretch of driving.
I was driving all the way fromthat prosperous line of border headed towards
six point thirty five and the tollway, and the skies are gray.
It's raining so hard that my windshieldwipers can't keep up with the action.

(00:22):
And traffic at the point where Iwas driving, there were no accidents,
so traffic was flowing pretty nicely nice, And I'm driving in. I'm a
little bit nervous. I'm still inthe fast lane. There's like four lanes
going. I'm still in the farleft lane. I'm in the fast lane.
And I don't like to tailgate insituations like this because it's raining.
The visibility is really bad, andit was somewhat dangerous. Like I'm kind

(00:46):
of looking around going We're all kindof driving at a speed that is it's
safe, but it's probably uh,We're kind of fortunate right here. This
is a little bit aggressive of allof us, these twenty cars around me.
We're kind of moving pretty fast.I start kind of slowing down a
little bit and then I hear itra ra, and I'm like, what

(01:11):
the hell is that? And Ilook behind me and there's a big black
Dodge pickup truck with a HEMI niceassuming it's him me because I could hear
it in my bones. How bigwas the ninety seven point one the Eagles
sticker out of the back? Dude? It was a huge Dodge truck jacked

(01:34):
up and it was so loud.Ida's what he's listening to? And I'm
watching this truck and this truck istailgating me and then violently switching over three
lanes recklessly to try to pass allthe cars that are going too slow for
his liking on the left. Sonow he's passing on the right. And

(01:56):
this guy is weaving in and outof traffic dangerously. And what a badass
driving this huge Dodge ram truck likeit's an Italian sports car. I mean,
gonna ass weaving it in and out, tailgating everybody. And I'm telling
you, I've never heard an enginesound so good like it was. It

(02:17):
was almost like being on a boat, Like every time they hit the accelerator,
I felt it in my DNA.Okay, and I'm like, this
is exceptionally dangerous. I'm immediately thinking, okay, I'm going to witness a
horrible wreck. You think about dangermore than your average person. I'm slowing

(02:37):
down because I know this is goingto be a wreck and the novice,
non hero skin will just roll rightinto that wreck. Oh my god,
how to get caught up in thatwreck. I didn't see it happening me.
I used the force. I sensethat it's happening before it's happened.
I'm monitoring the field of play.I'm kind of calculating mathematic angles and geometry

(02:59):
at all times, physics in playat all time, at all times.
And hold on, hold on,did you squeeze in a plural? It's
a little late. I tried toget both feet in bounds. I was
like, I may have already steppedout of bound too late. But it
was a very Empire strike back moment. But I couldn't believe how dangerous it

(03:20):
was. Like this guy had someof the most dangerous stuntman maneuvers I've ever
seen with zero visibility, when shildwipers can't keep up the toll way,
slippery cars are already driving too fast. And then by the end of this
little I felt like five minutes whateverit was, by the end of all
the maneuvers, he made he waslike four cars ahead of me, Like
he derisked his life in the lifeof all these people to get four car

(03:45):
links ahead of me. That's noteven one second really ahead of where I
am. I don't think I thinkyou're looking at it wrong. I don't
think I think it's only as dangerousas how unbadass your vehicle is. If
your vehicle is that bad ass,it's not dangerous. He can do anything
he can, dude, he canjust drive over other cars and he'll be
fine. So the danger it's onlydangerous if your vehicle is not bad ass

(04:10):
to match the kick asseness of thatgiant truck. Can I go back?
So you said earlier in the storythat you assumed that he had a HEMI
yeah, what's that mean? Skin? God, you pretend like you're from
the country and you don't even knowhow to talk to that then got a
HEMMI commercial campaign started in two thousandand four, Like, woant to be

(04:32):
that big of a deal if theguy had a Hemmy twenty years later,
I'm telling you, one of myfavorite things in the world is when Skin
goes he doesn't got a HEMMI?How how much torque? How much torque
did he have? Did you ask? Hey, roll down the window,
Hey, how much torque do youhave? All right? So yeah that
I'm telling you that where wait, where did this happen? This was uh,

(04:55):
this was Nebraska. No he uhhe veered off at one twenty one,
so it was all It all happenednorth north of one one. Right,
you're on the toll way north ofone twenty one. Yeah, yeah,
And then he went to go kicksome masks somewhere. It was like
it was so loud and he wasso aggressive that every car there was like,

(05:16):
oh my god, where where ishe? Like, even when he
was like six lanes over from meon the exit ramp to exit one twenty
one, I heard. I'm like, good lord, I think you're being
presumptive that every other car was likewhere is it? I think that might
be what was happening in your car. Now. You said you've never heard
an engine sound that badass. Yeah, I know for a fact that you

(05:39):
once drove one of those trucks andalmost killed an old lady by revving it.
Now, that's true. Outside ofa bar house off that was fateful
day. That was a loner vehicle. Oh no, try to shove that
off on someone else that was youactually had my vehicle for it to not
be dangerous. But it made methink about the relationship between tiny weans and

(06:01):
huge trucks. Okay, there's noway that that guy didn't have a green
bean done. So I'm glad yousaid that because there was a new study
that came out and a big poleand it was about how many women think
that men who drive big trucks areover commentating And the answer was lower than

(06:25):
I thought. Just thirty six percentof women thought that. Oh, so
women aren't smart, is what you'resaying. I'll say that, Well,
hold on, buck, I'm justin sanc from that now. I think
what it is is that most galsassumed that if you have a big,
badass truck, you like to gomudding. Yeah like that? Hell O,
Yeah, that's the thing. Imean. Think about where you live,

(06:45):
Ben, you live up north andthere's a lot of fields and stuff.
Yeah. I mean. In fact, one time, an old station
promo vehicle another station got stuck inthe mud and the mayor got his badass
hemi and pulled it out of thebood. Christina, do you think that
there's relationship between tiny weans and hugetrucks. Uh well, I think Skin
brought up a good point. Weneed to see if these women are from

(07:06):
the country or the city, becauseyes, if you're in the city you're
gonna think that. But the country, there's a whole Brad Paisley song called
Mud on the Tires and he's andhe has a big dog, right well,
countrymen that are more sensible too, though they understand the dangers of driving
on roads where there's hogs and there'sdeer. We're talking about big hogs here,
right, yes, big dogs.Oh my god, why is that

(07:29):
the line of humor for white people? I forgot what the intro and Bam,
he's my friend, my friend,Bam, he's my friend. He's
the best no Ben there's ever being. Ben, he's my friend. Then
Ben, you're my friend, Ben, Ben, you're my friend. You're
the best o Benner's ever being.Ben You're my friend. Bab you're my
friend. Band, Then you're myfriend. You're the best old Ben there's

(07:53):
ever been, never been a beinglike Dandan Ben Man Man Ben Ben Man
Man Man Man Man Man You're myfriend. Then one went out to band.
If we got the man's out there. What if that's the new intro
song for the show. Are youokay with that? Yeah? Yeah.
Our buddy Theory found that on theInternet and send it to me. That

(08:15):
was incredible. That nice. Yeah, on the day we come in terrified
of a giant hit me track. That's our theme song? Yeah, Mark,
My fantasy would be that that wasMikes Roy singing that man. Actually,
our theme song sounds like this ourtime boys, right now, you're

(08:50):

(10:48):

you'd like to confess that you drivea monster truck to overcompensate for your tiny
wang, you can do that too. What'd you call it a green bean
dong? Yeah? Green bean?I remem Christina. Did y'all use that
terminology and crandall growing up? No, because I know there's a lot of
farming out there there, right, you know, I think green beans a

(11:09):
great crop. Right? What aboutpopcorn balls? I don't know what that
is, Okay, tell us,Oh it's like little balls of popcorn.
Oh yeah, delicious, Yeah, incredible. So you put him in the
microwave there and they start popping.Did you guys end up watching sports last
night? Oh my god, Iforgot damn it. I can't believe it.
I'm so happy for the Mavericks.I'm so happy for Luca. MAVs

(11:33):
one game five last night, andit was exceptional, Like every single narrative
that was happening for Luca was bad. All he's doing is crying, He's
bitching at the officials. He's toodistracted by the very physical defense of loot
Dort. He's not enjoying himself outthere. He looks miserable. Oh he's
hurt. He can't do what heused to do on the court anymore.

(11:54):
And all of a sudden, whata difference one game makes because he comes
out and absolutely dominated. He dominatedon both ends of the court. He
played the game with joy. Notonly did he score with thirty points,
he had a triple double, buthe got his teammates involved, got them
so many easy, wide open buckets. That was absolute MVP domination from Luca.

(12:16):
I don't know who it was thatstepped up specifically. It's I'm thinking
it was organizational, right Nico JKidd, Kyrie, irving people on Luca's
marketing team. And maybe it's outthere and I missed the story, but
every big reporter had it. Infact, Jared Greenberg for TNT had it
before the games. That's what Ithought was very strange. Yeah, and

(12:37):
well, he had the Lucas goingto enjoy the game and not bitch at
the official. I assumed that wasa This is what I thought. I
could be totally wrong, because Ido not know anybody on in Lucas team.
Yeah, I thought that was asmart and good move by Luca's PR
team. I think it was soI thought, and that's why I'm saying
it's organizational. I don't think itwas necessarily just the people at Jordan or

(13:01):
the people at Gatorade, or thepeople locally that handled his marketing. I
think it was Jason Kidd. Ithink it was Nico Harrison. I think
was everyone involved in the good ofthe organization, maybe even Kyrie going okay,
look, here's what's being discussed. Here is how you change it.
And so they got out ahead ofit. And so not only did Jared
Greenberg go out there and say he'snot going to bitch at the officials,

(13:24):
then they listed all the ways thathe's physically compromised before the ball went up
in the air. So they wentout there and they re established the narrative,
and then to Luca's credit, hewent out there and delivered on the
narrative and Grant Hill mentioned it everytime in the first half. Yeah,
there's a player that a foul couldhave been called. Yeah, it was

(13:45):
mentioned that Luca did not make amotion towards the referees It was very intentional
because what happens is the national broadcastmeets with the coaching staff of each side
before the game and they decide whatthe story's going to be. And so
with Greenberg to have that reported tobeginning and then he was asked about it
by Tim McMahon And by the way, we never got to did you guys
have a chance to read that TimMcMahon Kyrie Irving article yesterday? I'll send

(14:07):
to you to have a sime foryou to get the whole information out on
it. It's good, man,it's really really good. And I didn't
talk to Tim, but it soundedlike Kyrie sat down with Tim. I
could be wrong on that. Wow, but there was a lot of good
information in it. But we willdo a full on MAVs Stars party,
not Slash unparty. MAVs partied Starsdid not party. Their whole scene fell

(14:28):
apart in four minutes. We willdo that in the Around the Sports at
four oh five. But it wasjust it felt really good because I do
think the Stars will advance despite thehiccup last night, and it does feel
like the Mavericks have control of theseries and have a chance to put the
thunder away on Saturday. So thereis a lot to be excited about in
Dallas sports. Yeah, might havetwo teams in the Western Conference Finals simultaneously.

(14:52):
Coming up next in the Hollywood Shuffle, this comedy legend is starring in
his first TV show, Who areWe talking about? Can't to talk about that next
