Speaker 1 (00:04):
Two sides to the story.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
There's only one side to the facts. Welcome to the
Brian Mud Show and thank you for listening. Hello, Can
Stock said, cryptocurrencies go. My first role money is.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Never let your money and emotions cross paths.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
That's right. If you want less of it, run with
that and you probably will get there. But that's not
what you're going for when you're investing. But over ninety
percent of the time that people jump in it out
they try to tie markets investments, they do worse than
if they just left their money alone where they put
it in the first place. So that really puts in perspective.
We do tend to be our own worst enemy. Don't
do that. Don't be that person, right, don't punish yourself unnecessarily.

(00:44):
And so what I try to do is put everything
in perspective weekly so you understand what's going on and
ultimately can take advantage of the greatest wealth creation machine
in the history of the world, which is your United
States stock market. About that, here's where we wrapped up
last week. Stop US tumbled and oil prices surged after
Israel launch strikes against Iran's nuclear program and military leaders

(01:06):
and as Iran retaliate. Yeah, so that was the real
story there. The three week winning streak for socks ended.
We had a higher market heading into the big celf
on Friday, but with that we saw that there were
anywhere from mile small losses to about one percent with
the dow of the S and P five hundred nasek
And now in the year we are anywhere from flat

(01:27):
with the Dow to up two percent on the S
and P five hundred entering this week. So as we
kind of take a look at where we stand oil
and focus, twenty one percent of the world's oil supply
moves through the Straight of Hormos, the Straight of Horror
Moos is bordering Iran, and so you saw oil prices

(01:51):
spike right away on Friday. They stabilize over the weekend,
but they are still the highest they have been since February.
And that's a going to remain in focus here for
the next little bit because obviously what becomes of the
increased Middle Eastern conflict will be not only something that
will end up paying for at the pump, but also

(02:13):
that the Federal Reserve is going to be paying attention
to this week as well, real important week as the
Fed will announce its policy decision pertaining to interest rates
on Wednesday, and it was already expected that the Fed
would probably not change interest rates, but now after the
Israel Iran conflict, I mean, it's like a guarantee. The

(02:36):
market's currently at price in a ninety nine point nine
percent chance of no change this week, despite the recent
CPI and PPI readings and the inflation rate coming in
far lower than expected. So the Fed they'd been wrong
about inflation today, but they had already used tariff uncertainty
as an excuse not to lower interest rates. The recent

(02:59):
spike and oil prices is only going to provide yet
another catalyst for them to be able to point to
and say, yeah, we don't want to change anything right now.
So that is where we stand. And as for cryptos, well,
you had Bitcoin backed away from what was close to
an all time high recently near one hundred and ten thousand,
but it still maintains well above one hundred thousand. Bitcoin

(03:20):
flat over the past week of twelve percent on the year.
Ether was a little bit higher last week, but it's
still twenty four percent lower on the year. The bil
YZTF that represents the top ten cryptos had a good week.
It was of three percent, though it is still a
little bit lower on the year. I can't provide any
value analysis for cryptos because they have no heiring value,

(03:40):
but it can for socks because they do. Using the
S and P five hundred as the benchmark. If only
fundamentals mattered, you had people that ended up freaking out,
panic selling everything else. Your maximum downside risk from where
we sit right now is forty three percent. It is
one percent less than last week because stock prices fell
little bit. Well, fundamentals were pretty much unchanged. So anyway,

(04:04):
do I think if we ended up getting a huge
sell off it's gonna it would amount to forty three percent? Now?
Is it possible in theory, So let's just say it happened.
If it wouldn't negatively impact your daily life. Okay, great,
you're probably in good shape. If it would, well, at
that point you need a new plan and if necessary,
a pro to help you with it. By the way,

(04:26):
just generally we are seeing financial market stabilize, including stock
market futures as well, which are a bit higher this morning.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
All right, good morning, let's get a look at your
Florida headlines. There were two drownings in Martin County over
Father's Day weekend, both involving young children. The first one
Friday night, a two year old girl drowned in a
backyard pool and Hope Sound. There were five adults in
the house and three children when the incident occurred, according
to police. Saturday night, a five year old boy drowned
in a neighbor's swimming pool. Investigators say his mother was

(04:53):
helping one of her other children in the bathroom when
the boy ran out of the house and into the
neighbor's backyard pool. That one near Stuart a group from
Tampa making sure Americans get out of the Middle East safely.
Gray Bull Rescue a group of over one hundred veterans
dedicated to rescuing Americans and allies from war zones. Today's
the last day to vote for Longerhead Marine Life Center
at Juno Beach to be winner of USA Today's ten

(05:15):
Best Readers Choice Award for best free attraction in the US.
If you had the Florida News on our website and
find that story and a link. And the Panthers trying
to win their second straight Stanley Cup tomorrow night, team
faces off against the Oilers in Game six at home Florida,
coming off a convincing victory in Game five with two
cracks at hosting the Cup, hoisting the cup brother, they

(05:36):
lead the series three games to two. Those are your headlines?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Well, I mean the Panthers been hosting the Cup, yes,
since they are the tiphany cham So you actually were
less wrong than you thought. The Brian Mojo podcast is
