Speaker 2 (00:16):
It's time for today's top three takeaways. Helpful, useful, repeatable.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
No Pope, same fed and making America safe again. Happy
Thursday to you as the week continues to fly along.
And yeah, my top takeaway on this Thursday is no Pope,
just smoke.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
To the disappointment of more than one hundred thousand waiting
in anticipation in Saint Peter's Square, the charcoal colored smoke
from the burning of ballots on the first day of
the conclave means no cardinal received a two thirds vote.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
And so far we've had another vote today and so
we are zero for too, just black smoke.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
And this should not come as a surprise.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I've been doing a little papal trivia for you throughout
the course of this process. I've got more today. How
many votes you remember, it was just twenty thirteen. How
many votes did it take to elect Pope Francis to
it was five?

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Five? Okay, so we're through two at this point.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
How many votes did it take to elect Pope Benedicts
before Francis?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
The answer was four.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
How about at the nineteen seventy eight PayPal conclave, how
many votes needed to elect Pope John Paul?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
The second look on Joel's faces. I'm all over this one.
I think it was eight.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yes, Joel thinks it was eight because he's heard me
mentioned this preview. It's right when Helen, it's good that
you're paying attention.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I remembered it from one hour ago. That's good, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
So for reasons, for these reasons this, she comes a
little surprised that the first go round for pope second.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Time, I'm producing only black smoke. In fact, how far
back do you have to go? This is a real trivia.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Now, how far back do you have to go to
find the last first ballot pope? We'll talk about people
are first ballot hall of famers. How about the first
ballot popes?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I think Biden was in middle school.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Okay, I think your timeline is probably lined up pretty well.
I mean, I think you might be off by a
few years. Phenomena. So the last time, the last time
we had a first ballot, Pope nineteen thirty nine, Pope
Pious the twelfth, and in fact, did you know that
only three popes are believed to have ever been elected

(02:46):
on the first boat. And I say are believed because
prior to like the chimney watching and so much attention
on this process given how secretive it is and private
records going back a certain way are you know, sketchy.
But in terms of what's been documented to definitively be
first ballot, they are only three all time, and preceding

(03:08):
Pope Pious and thirty nine, you have to go all
the way back to Pope Clement the eleventh and seventeen hundred.
I mean we're talking about you know, Joe being like
you know, Toddler at this point still just and before
that you have to go to sixteen seventy six and
Pope Innocent the eleventh. So not exactly a common thing

(03:29):
was not to be expected. The early vote. So we
do have a total of four votes today if needed,
which means three more to go that could take place today.
My second takeaway for you, same fed, different day yesterday.
The Director of the National Economic Council, Kevin Hassett, commenting
on the Fed deciding to leave interest rates unchanged. I'm

(03:52):
dismayed that they've got bad economic.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Modelinggue of what might happen to tariffs.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
They said, you know, if you look at the Wall
Street folks, they're saying that the terrors are.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Going to creator the economy.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Meanwhile, we got really strong jobs and we don't have
the inflation that they said was going to happen. Details right, Well,
the FOMC meeting did go exactly the way we were
talking about yesterday, which means that President Trump did not
get his way, with the interest rates remaining where they were.
Citing increased uncertainty and solid expansion of the US economy,

(04:24):
the Fed did leave interest rates in place. Now, what
the Fed noted about the economy was particularly telling. As
I mentioned following the negative first quarter GDP report, it
wasn't that the real economy was negative. In fact, the
real economy was strong. It was the way the GDP
is calculated that is wonky. He had so many companies
importing a bunch of stuff to try to get ahead
of tariffs that made the actual number look weak. The

(04:47):
real economy remained strong, and its strength was cited by
the FED as a reason to lead interest rates alone
for now, and like Trump, I still think that the
FED is behind the curve again. But they did observe
what I observed from the GDP, noting that the expectation
for the second quarter is that GDP growth will come
back strong in the quarter.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
We're currently in my.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Third takeaway for you today, making America safe again. You know,
it is so nice to know the FBI doesn't suck anymore.
Rather than targeting you because you're one of them, aren't you,
you know, one of those religious people, or you're probably
a Trump supporter too, rather than the FBI targeting that person,
they're targeting these situations.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
There is no place we will not come to hunt
you down. There is no place we will not look
for you, and there is no cage we will not
put you in should you do harm to our children.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
While discussing the results of Operation Restore Justice, FBI director
of Cash Hotel with Attorney General Pembondi yesterday had that
to say about these disgusting creatures that have roamed the
earth in recent weeks. The Trump Administration's effort to make
America safe again starting to fire on all cylinders. You know,
it's just a week ago that we learned the largest

(06:02):
illegal immigration enforcement operation not only in Florida's history, but
in IS's history. It had taken place, taking down the
total of eleven hundred and twenty illegal immigrants across the state.
Sixty three percent of those arrested by ICE had a
prior criminal conviction, three hundred and seventy eight had outstanding
orders to be removed from the country by a judge,
orders ignored by the Biden administration. And among those arrested

(06:25):
were members of six designated foreign terrorist organizations. We had murderers,
drug traffickers, human sex traffickers taken down, and at the time,
Homeline Security Secretary Christy Nomes said, this is a warning
to all criminal illegal aliens.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
We are coming for you.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
DHS, ICE and our state partners will hunt you down,
arrest and deport you. That's a promise. So yesterday's big
news was about the largest one week child sex sting
operation and American history. So it's pretty remarkable because we
had a record setting ICE situation last week. We have

(07:02):
a record setting FBI staying this week. So yeah, duged
Operation Restore Justice. You did have Bondi and Patel announced
the arrest of two hundred and five evil people took
place across five days. They rescued a total of one
hundred and fifteen victims of child sex trafficking. The process,

(07:26):
and this is illustrative of a process that is elevating
its game in all phases. Talking about the Trump administration,
both at the FBI and Justice Department by.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
By way of.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
The agency, and then also what we're seeing at DHS
very encouraging.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
It's exactly what we need. And consider this.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
during the Biden administration, how big of an increase was
there and reported child sex trafficking. The answer one hundred
and ninety two percent. Now, how does such a massive
increase and such a short time take place. Well, the

(08:14):
figure reminded me of numbers I brought you last year
when I was discussing the increase in crimes committed by
I legal immigrants under the Biden administration. You may recall
me talking about some of this, even if not the
numbers so specifically, For example, non sittings in crime increases
homicide manslaughter nine hundred and sixty seven percent, increase illegal

(08:36):
entry six hundred and ninety seven percent increase d you wise,
up six hundred and eighty five percent, illegal weapons possession,
transport and trafficking up six hundred and twenty seven percent, burglary, robbery, larceny, theft,
fraud of six hundred and four percent, assault battery, domestic
violence of six hundred and two percent. I mean, just

(08:56):
how backcracked crazy do you have to be to do
that to your country. The number pertaining to sexual offenses
was the one that was like, oh, yeah, you see
that increase was one hundred and eighty two percent. Boy,
that watched this very similarly with the one hundred and ninety
two percent increase we saw with child sex trafficking over
the same time, doesn't it. So here's what I found

(09:17):
when digging into this dynamic yesterday. Approximately eighty percent of
child sex trafficking victims in the United States are American children.
So that tells us two things. First, massive number of
children trafficked into the United States subjected to this kind
of evil abuse, and second, massive number of American children
being abducted and trafficked by illegal immigrants. You know, the

(09:39):
most recent estimate for the number of children trafficked annually
one hundred and nine thousand. Based on what we know
of victims' nationalities, that means about eighty seven thousand of
them are American children, with about twenty two thousand we're
trafficked from outside of this country into it. So what
we've seen is that illegal immigrants have been responsible for

(09:59):
a massive increase in sexual offenses over the past four years,
including a massive increase and the sex trafficking of minors
into this country, but also of the sex trafficking of
American children too, And right on cue was word from
the DOJ that illegal immigrants were among those taken down
as part of this historic operation. The Trump administration currently

(10:19):
working quickly to make America safe again. Nowhere is that
more important than what's being done to protect children. So
it's encouraging to see that the dj has joined DHS
and doing what needs to be done here. It's one
of the things that just it bugs me to no end.
I've talked about it on and off for many years,
but we lose an average of two hundred and thirty

(10:42):
eight children per day, most recently to child sex trafficking
in the United States.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Two hundred and thirty eight children.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
You know, every once in a blue moon, there'll be
a kid that fits the profile that the media likes.
They'll put it on TV and you know, make you
care about that particular person. Two hundred and thirty eight day.
You never see their faces, never hear their names. It's
an unconscionable thing, and it's one of the many proliferated
by the prior regime.
