that's probably because of the school closures and such, which
we'll touch base on in three things you need to

had mentioned our office holiday party was last night, and
although I was well behaved and maintained status quo, I
did this one thing multiple times throughout the night that
has me a little embarrassed. We're gonna revisit that coming

holiday etiquette tips yesterday. Let's see if any of us
had stayed true to any of the ones that we

United Healthcare Worker, the the CEO. Rather the details that
I'm learning the messages that i'm reading wild.

Here are some of the things that we learn. Obviously,
the CEO of United Healthcare, right there for an investor's conference,
looked as if he was alone. The gunman knew seemed
to have know some things here, which has led police
officials to say that.

This was very much a planned attack.

The suspect fled first on foot, then on an e bike,
and was last seen in Central Park on Center early
this morning.

Okay, so let me just kind of paint a picture
for you.

This person is It has a backpack, has loose fitting,
baggy clothes on, but most certainly knows what he's doing
behind a weapon. You could see at one point in
the video, and I'm so surprised to myself for watching,
because I typically don't I can't watch.

But he puts some sort of silencer on it. The
gun jams very calm, very cool. Was it collected, rather
was able to adjust and fix and shot Brian Thompson
in the chest in the back several times. He was
later pronounced dead at the hospital. But that man was
waiting there for solid five minutes. Like I said, premeditated.

Now I'm hearing that there were messages written on the shellcasings.
Some were surprised that there were shellcasings at all, but
the messages were let me pull it up here, where

the fact that we're heading into Christmas and now those
two sons don't have a dad. I also empathize with
the American people just struggling to figure out and afford
healthcare in general. Like, it's just not a good situation.
By the way, this was announced yesterday too. Let me

anesthesia time for procedures and three different states.

there saying that he was very calm, got a walked away,
hopped on a bike, last seen at Central Park. Still
very much at large. There's a ten thousand dollars reward
for any information. All right, we were on that for
a little while, So let's go over to Cincinnati. Cincinnati
Public schools canceled for today due to extreme cold. Schools

will be closed Thursday, December fifth, that for all students.

Report to work at their normal time though. Okay, a
few other charter schools are closed. Temperatures are really only
going to be in the twenties today, windshields filling closer
to zero. But I was looking ahead and it seems
as if our tempts are gonna up again later next

had our office holiday party last night, and there's one
thing that I did. Although I was well behaved, I

avoid doing whatever it is that I did last night.

Twenty four hours ago, I had talked about office holiday
parties here on my show, Sarah and I maybe you
were part of this conversation yesterday.

Our company Christmas party was last night here in the
office and we were just chit chatting about kind of
a do's and don't. So now that I've read that,
I've lived through the office holiday party. I have the
top five tip tips on how to have a successful party,
followed by the one thing you should never do that

I did multiple times last night. I'm gonna lead off
with the tips that you should do. You need to
have water in between your alcoholic beverages. I'm not gonna
be the friend you know. I'm not you know I
know how to party. I'm not gonna be the friend
that says, don't drink at your office holiday party. Just

make sure you have water in between drinks at your
office holiday party. Like you gotta be able to get water.
You have to get wrapped up in conversation. It's easy.
It's easy to get wrapped up. You have to have
a water in between your drinks. Therefore slows you down
a little bit, but you're still having a good time.
You wake up the next morning and you're not in

immediate regret. Your body's not like help man. That's my
number one tip on how to manage like alcohol. Second
tip has to do everything with conversation the next few Actually,
here's what I noticed about office holiday parties is that
even though you work with these people, you don't saw
sometimes don't really know much about them. So picking out

someone in the crowd that you don't typically talk to
that much or have the time to talk to during
the day could change your whole coworker trajectory Number one too,
it makes them feel really good about themselves.

And three, you never know what's going to come from that, right.

So, for example, there's this girl named Whitney who shout
out to Whitney works usually later in the evenings for
seven hundred Wow. I got a text message from a
different coworker of ours last night at one am said
that Whitney had gone out to karaoke with them, and
he was.

Like, oh my god, Whitney came and now we're like besties.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
That was all because we just sparked up conversation with
each other in our own office. So look for the
people you don't normally talk to, and then you gotta
schmooze a little bit. You never know who you could,
you know, spark a relationship with. Next tip tip, by
the way, if you're just walking into this, these are
office holiday tips. Since I lived my office holiday party
last night. You have to have an out when it

comes to conversation. Let me say that again. If conversation
makes you uncomfortable. You have to have a phrase. This
is probably the most important thing I'm going to say
on how to get out of it. Okay, so here's
an example. Here's one that I use. You steal these
if you need to. If I'm talking to someone and
I feel like I want to bail on this conversation

or it's just dry, I say, Hey, I'm going to
go over to the bar and get a drink.

Would you like to walk with me?

And usually it's like yeah, And by the time you
make it over to the bar, usually someone else has
joined the conversation, and that's your chance to bow out.
I always have a backup conversation in mind.

I have on that one is like another one you
could use is what's a good one that I've used yesterday?

Oh? You know, I always say, remind me what your

you know, you meet a bunch of people and when
they say, hey, my name's Chuck, You're like, all right, Chuck,
what was so nice to meet you? And then you say,
I have to go to the next thing. You have
to have an out of a conversation. You'll be trapped
there for hours. Similarly, you have to have an in
on the conversation. What's your go to question when you're

chatting with someone mine? You steal it if you'd like,
what neighborhood are you from?

on my show all the time. What's your name?

and then take the leftover plants.

party and then not show up to it. I was

at that point I had spread the rumor that there
was an after party at Chewice. I don't know, Kevin
from the office might still be sitting there waiting for
me to show up.

ornaments or colored lights, you are an ongoing socializer, according

you have very similar decorations, like let's say, very simplistic
is probably the phrase I'm looking for, you are known
as a minial millist, which means that your house is
probably empty. I actually kind of believe these one I
decorate my tree. I haven't gotten it yet. I put

but I'm leaving for a week in the middle of December.
Should I get it now or should I wait until
I come back. I typically only do lights. I don't

Here are some of the things that we learn. Obviously,
the CEO of United Healthcare, right there for an investor's conference,
looked as if he was alone. The gunman knew seemed
to have know some things here, which has led police
officials to say that.

This was very much a planned attack.

The suspect fled first on foot, then on an e bike,
and was last seen in Central Park on Center early
this morning.

Okay, so let me just kind of paint a picture

This person is It has a backpack, has loose fitting,
baggy clothes on, but most certainly knows what he's doing
behind a weapon. You could see at one point in
the video, and I'm so surprised to myself for watching,
because I typically don't I can't watch.

But he puts some sort of silencer on it. The
gun jams very calm, very cool. Was it collected, rather
was able to adjust and fix and shot Brian Thompson
in the chest in the back several times. He was
later pronounced dead at the hospital. But that man was
waiting there for solid five minutes. Like I said, premeditated.

Now I'm hearing that there were messages written on the shellcasings.
Some were surprised that there were shellcasings at all, but

the fact that we're heading into Christmas and now those
two sons don't have a dad. I also empathize with

Public schools canceled for today due to extreme cold. Schools

a do's and don't. So now that I've read that,
I've lived through the office holiday party. I have the
top five tip tips on how to have a successful party,
followed by the one thing you should never do that

I did multiple times last night. I'm gonna lead off
with the tips that you should do. You need to
have water in between your alcoholic beverages. I'm not gonna
be the friend you know. I'm not you know I
know how to party. I'm not gonna be the friend
that says, don't drink at your office holiday party. Just

make sure you have water in between drinks at your
office holiday party. Like you gotta be able to get water.
You have to get wrapped up in conversation. It's easy.
It's easy to get wrapped up. You have to have
a water in between your drinks. Therefore slows you down
a little bit, but you're still having a good time.
You wake up the next morning and you're not in

immediate regret. Your body's not like help man. That's my
number one tip on how to manage like alcohol. Second
tip has to do everything with conversation the next few Actually,
here's what I noticed about office holiday parties is that
even though you work with these people, you don't saw
sometimes don't really know much about them. So picking out

someone in the crowd that you don't typically talk to
that much or have the time to talk to during
the day could change your whole coworker trajectory Number one too,
it makes them feel really good about themselves.

And three, you never know what's going to come from that, right.

So, for example, there's this girl named Whitney who shout
out to Whitney works usually later in the evenings for
seven hundred Wow. I got a text message from a
different coworker of ours last night at one am said
that Whitney had gone out to karaoke with them, and
he was.

Like, oh my god, Whitney came and now we're like besties.

That was all because we just sparked up conversation with
each other in our own office. So look for the
people you don't normally talk to, and then you gotta
schmooze a little bit. You never know who you could,
you know, spark a relationship with. Next tip tip, by
the way, if you're just walking into this, these are
office holiday tips. Since I lived my office holiday party
last night. You have to have an out when it

comes to conversation. Let me say that again. If conversation
makes you uncomfortable. You have to have a phrase. This
is probably the most important thing I'm going to say
on how to get out of it. Okay, so here's
an example. Here's one that I use. You steal these
if you need to. If I'm talking to someone and
I feel like I want to bail on this conversation

or it's just dry, I say, Hey, I'm going to
go over to the bar and get a drink.

And usually it's like yeah, And by the time you

I would assume that in the beginning that job is
really tough. It looks so glamorous, but you really never

know what's going to make it onto TV. And then eventually,
when you start building more notoriety, that's when you start
making more money, right, Like, I don't think Keenan Thompson
is making three grand an episode. By now, he's probably
making quite a bit, but in the beginning, it's rough.
I think a lot of people think that about my
industry as well, like, oh, it's so glamorous, you must
make a lot of money, and for a long time

you're making like nothing and just kind of hoping for
the best and showing up giving it your all, and it,
you know, could be making nothing.
