On his journey to international success, Bob wasn’t alone, his bandleader and bassist, Aston 'Family Man' Barrett was always by his side. In an amazing twist, the actor cast to play Aston Barrett was his own son, Bassist Aston Barrett Jr., who joins Liz to share his challenge of portraying the man he looked up to while grieving his father who passed away just two weeks prior to the film's release.
