Dus: beleggen in Europa of Azië dan maar? Nou... nee. Schuldenbergen bevinden zich overal, van Japan tot Europa. En de Europese beurs noch de grootste schuldenmarkt voor euro's (de Duitse) zijn diep genoeg om het kapitaal aan te kunnen. Bovendien is het einde van de techrevolutie nog lang niet in zicht.
Verder gaan de certificaten van Triodos naar de beurs. 44 jaar na oprichting (30 juni 1980) gaat de groene bank die antroposofisch bankier Rudolf Mees al eind jaren zestig bekokstoofde dus toch naar de beurs. Zo rijden groene ambities en het bredere belang op tegen de vangrail van de realiteit, met al zijn lage return-on-equities en discipline van de kapitaalmarkten van dien. Gelukkig voor Triodos gaat het slechts om handel in de certificaten waar beleggers al sinds 2021 massaal vanaf willen- niet om nieuwe certificaten of aandelen. Ook de schikking die Triodosbeleggers eerder aangeboden kregen (tien euro per certificaat dat men begin 2023 nog bezat) was zo groot als de bank kon dragen.
