sometimes a girl just got to eat some takeaway and
there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Let's normalize driving to

absolutely fanging for a mcflurry. So this week, I'm giving
you permission to hit that drive through an audio favorite
takeaway while my guests Beckhard Graves share some of her
favorite go to fake aways. Those times you might be
feeling a little bit more fit than ish, let's talk
about fast food, because you know, let's just put the

ish in finish. Today. I want to talk to you
about fast food and touch on what some of our
favorite fast foods are. And then, for all the times
that you are feeling more fit than ish, what's a
little hack that you have for that same fast food place?

that before. Or sometimes I say, are you picking up

think the reason I wanted to chat to you about
this today is I am really hungry and I'm really
craving Guzman. So let's talk about takeaway. So firstly, let's

just start with Guzman. Then what is your favorite item
at Guzman? And I don't necessarily mean what is your
favorite item in terms of health, because I want people
to know that when you go to a fast food restaurant,
I want to give you permission to not order the
salad if you don't want the salad. There's nothing wrong
with ordering a salad. I do love a Gusman salad personally,
but there is nothing wrong with ordering a burrito or Nacho's.

And I think also it's important to note that a
salad is not always the quote unquote healthiest option anyway,
So if you're going to get food from a fast
food restaurant, you may as well enjoy it. Otherwise, if you're,
you know, looking for something predominantly for your health, yeah,
maybe just cook something at home. Yeah, exactly I love
fast food, so I'm very excited to be talking about

fast food, especially Gooseman. Do you say Guzman? Oh? Is
itman Gooseman babe? Or do I do? I could actually
be so wrong, but I think it's your wedging. Yeah,
let's just maybe I'm gas men gassy. Me and my
havefriend call it guzzy. We'll you want to get guzzy,
but we won't say it like that. Yeah, no guzzies.
I've heard guzzies, but I thought it was Guzman. But like,

I could be wrong. Oh, I don't know. Maybe you

it aussi oka, Yeah, a bit aussi oka. I'm a
little bit like that too. I'm sure you guys can
tell my mother. We'll go along with it. So let's
start firstly, what is your favorite item at Guzman? And
I don't necessarily mean healthiest item. I just mean, yeah,

it just is your favorite menu item at GYG? Do
you know what? And this is like a real like
I'm a bit of a flag in the wind like
I am. It depends how I'm feeling, okay, but I
have a few I'll name a you. So the Cali burrito.
Oh my god. If you have a tourrito that has
chippies in it, yes, chips, and it has guacamole, it's amazing.
I'm actually a really big fan of the tacos now.

I never used to get tacos that often, but I
recently had the hard tacos, and I am a weird
person where I prefer hard tacos not soft tacos. I
don't really like soft tacos. I'm a hard taco girl
because I don't eat glutens. So yeah, hard tacos are
a gluten free so they're a really easy option, right
and the current when you're gluten free, and they're fucking delicious,
like a nacho, but just big. That's I find now

that when you go like I'm Mexican is probably my
favorite cuisine. But when you go out to like a
nicer Mexican restaurant, they only generally do the soft I
mean they're corns, so they're all gluten free ones too,
so you could, but they never give you the option
to get a hard shell taco. Give me somebshells. My
boyfriend's a great cook and he makes the best fish tacos,
but he makes I'm really fancy and sometimes just give

me old El Paso. Just give me in front of shell,
good old El Paso. I do. I like the texture
of it as well, but other than that, just like
you know your regular burrito, I'm a big fan of
all of it. Gismond's I love it so much too.
I actually have like heaps of random merch from there.
I don't know where I've gotten it really along the time.
I've got like socks and yeah, I don't know if

it's just like I don't know if your crew points
or whatever happened, but like I've got some guzmand merch.
I've got like a burrito key chain on my key
set and it's like just like the little silver little
package burrito with g WAG written on it. Very cute.
It's something you are quite renowned for on your Instagram
as well, your fakeaways or your little hacks to make

takeaway food a little bit healthier. So what is your
favorite hack for making an item on the Gusmine menu healthier? Okay,
I'll give you two one like, because you know how
some people don't like to be difficult and like change
things around, like you don't want to be that person
in the drive through. I'm definitely that person. I can't
drive through, I am that person or wherever I go, yeah,
me too. But for the people that don't want to

do that. The tacos, the hard shell tacos that I
were talking about, which are like one of my favorite
things on the menu, are actually like really They've got
a really good macro split and they're quite low in
calories as well. The hard shell tacos are a little
bit it doesn't matter if you want a soft tailed taco,
you can still get that. They're still pretty good for you.
I feel like GIG is pretty like inherently known for
it's like fresh ingredients and stuff like that. They do

have some items that are quite like higher calories, which
you can definitely get, but probably not often. Like the
enchiladas are in like the fifteen hundred range or something crazy.
But the tacos are like two hundred calories each. Get
as many as you you know you want in your day, right,
and they're high in protein. They've got a good amount

of carbs, good amount of fats. Taco have. Oh, I
would have to look. I don't know, I don't it's
information in my head, but a decent amount, I think too.
For two, it was like around thirty to forty grams
of protein, like pretty good, Oh my god, So go
ahead and get three or four? Yeah, why stop it too,
don't keep got all of them in one of every floe,

you won't want to stop it too. And the best
like the best feelings as well in terms of like
the calories and macros are the chicken and the beef,
the slow cooked beef. Okay, yeah, nice, God, I'm so hungry,
I know, really going through the drive through when I
leave here. Actually, I've actually had it a bit too
often recently. I need I feel like I shouldn't, but
got cold turkey. You had another one? I do have

another one. The other one is if you want to
change it up a little bit, a good hack for
the burritos, if you're like a solid burrito fan, like
you can't go past it, switch out the rice for lettuce.
Not because we're scared of carbs, but we already have
like the wrap for the burrito and other elements that
are giving us like enough carbs within that meal, and
it just kind of like lowers the calories down, so

after you're finished eating it, you don't feel like sick
and a little bit like, oh, that was like a
big burrito. Yeah, it's actually nicer. Thing that I don't
like about the burritos at GUYG, which is like hardly
anything at all because of how I do them. I
love Guig burritos, but if I were to get like
the regular burrito with rice, sometimes they put too much
rice in it, Yeah, and you feel quite stodgy. I
feel like that's the reason why generally I stay away

from like burritos and enchiladas is because they there's just
too much and I can't finish them. But sometimes I
just want something fresh, more like a salad rappie kind
of vibe. Yeah, it is kind of like that, but
it still has all of the other things, like the cheese,
like the beans, a pico de gallo if I'm saying
that right, and all the other things that go into it.
And I feel like it just it tastes better with lettuce. Yeah,
not even if you're trying to be healthy, just all

right with lettuce. Give it a go crunchy. Yeah, I
love that, Love that so much. Okay, let's move on
to Mickey d Good old maccas good right, hit me,
what's your favorite item on the McDonald's menu. Oh, you're
gonna hate me because I don't have one. What Like,
there's so many. It depends on my mood. I actually
really like the hotcakes, Like I grew up eating hotcakes

because my mum used to take her to maccas. You're
like my sister, really, yes, So my mum used to
take us to maccas for breakfast. I want to say
would always get the hotcakes, and I would always get
the sausage MC muffin and a hash brown. I would
go between the two because I did like the sausage
and egg McMuffin. But I used to like cut them
up into little squares and then instead of like spreading
the butter on, you'd like put a little dollop of
butter on each piece. It's really fucked up. But I

think I don't like pancakes. I've never liked pancakes. Pancakes.
I love pancakes. Other than that, I love the Okay
mic chicken sauce and Big Mac sauce separately on their
own amazing. If you haven't tried. When you order nuggets,
get sweet and sour sauce and mixed chicken sauce, mix
it together, and that is the best fucking combo of

sauce that you'll ever get at macas, I promise you.
And also steamed bun if you're ordering any like cheeseburger
anything like that. For sure. I've seen that hack on
TikTok a lot there is. If you want hacks on
how to make takeaway food taste even more delicious, get
on TikTok. Yeah, it is just next level, okay for me.
I love mcflurry's. Yeah, so I like them too. I

love mcflurry so much. And I remember when I first
moved in with my boyfriend. It had been dating for
a very short amount of time, and so like, I
hadn't let a lot of my freak fly that high yet,
How fur are freak flying? Well no, because you'll you'll
hear why. Okay. So I had my period and it
was a very very bad one, and I was very hormonal,
and it was the first time he'd ever seen me,

kind of like spiral, and I was in my robe
and I couldn't stop crying, and I was like, I
just need a mcflurry with hot fudge sauce for dinner.
And I made him drive to McDonald and get me
mcflurry with my budge sauce for dinner, and we've we'll
been there. Yeah, that's so good. And actually recently I
was coming back from the Gold Coast and it was

quite late at night because we went down there to
watch a friend fight and I was like, I and
my boyfriend drove and I was like, I need a mcflurry.
On the way home, I need a mcflurry. McDonald's was
shut and the only thing opened was Hungry Jack. So
I got storm. You don't like storm. I don't like storms.
When was that? Was that a long time ago? No?
It was December? Okay, yeah, I feel like I had

the bisk Off storm recently and that was like incredible. Okay,
this is just an eminem storm, so maybe it was
a bit different. I don't know. I like, for some reason,
the soft serve tastes different at Hungry Jack's. So you
know what, I do like Jack Their logo there logan
the dog is a better than Hunger Jacks. I do
love mungkery Jacks. Though. What the chop top the dipped
soft serve? Oh my god, I haven't had that since

I was a kid. I used to walk. When I
say a kid, I'm in like a teenager. But I
used to get them all the time, so they still
sell them. Yes, oh my god, I'm gonna get one. Yes,
at some point, maybe today after I go to Licio.
I'm also partial to a happy meal. I don't know why.
I think it must just be like good memories for me.
My partner's like that whenever I'm like, it's like a
cheeseburger meal, He's like, let's just got a happy meal

and I'm like, what the fuck was? It comes in
a cuter at fit. It's like it's like a cheeseburger
meal and a cute outfit. I know, but like it
comes with the toy, and I just like, I hate clutter.
I'm like an anti horter. Oh okay, I can't have
sheep for me. It's kind of like the difference between
a butterfly and a moth. Okay, that's fair, Like a
butterfly is just a moth and a cue outfit. Do
you know? I actually think it's cheaper to get I

saw this on TikTok. It's cheaper to get a happy
meal than it is to get a small cheeseburger meal.
And you get a toy and you get a cool outfit.
I love how you cling it an outfit like I
can't deal. Let's all get little freaking happy box outfits
and runs around anyway. Oh okay, so what is your
go to Macca's hack? Okay, so one that I do
(11:41):
quite often. I feel like the times where I need
macas and I'm not like, you know, it's not like
I'm a little bit hungover and I want to indulge
in some macas or it's not one of those times
where I'm on my period. I'm feeling like I'm in flurry.
On the times where I'm like going to the airport
or like going on a long journey and I need
to get breakfast, don't have time to make it at home.
The perfect thing to order is the bacon and egg

McMuffin from McDonald's. And do you know what, like on
its own, like if you don't like changing the order,
like we already discussed on its own, the macro split
is freaking incredible. I'm actually like, I'm like, are you
lying to us? Surely not because there's such a big corporation,
but it's like it's under three hundred cows for the
bacon and egg McMuffin, and it has an amazing macro
(12:22):
split like really good amount of protein. But if you
want to bump up that protein, and also under three
hundred cows is quite low calorie for which is why
you'd probably feel like a hash brown or something else
to make you cannot get breakfast from maccas unless you
get a hash brown. That's fair, that's a fair point.
But if you want to bump up the protein, add
an extra egg, and if you want to make it
a little bit more like whole foods less like artificial,

it is still macas like we got to be real.
But you can remove the cheese if you like, and
add like maybe like a tomato sauce. You can also
take off the oil. That's another thing that they add
into it. So they either use like a spray oil
or butter. It depends on like the franchise, and you
can choose to remove that too if you want to
be even healthier. Okay, but on its own it's deferent.

That's good news, because I do love me a little McMuffin.
But that's one of the very first hacks I remember
you sharing on your Instagram like, I don't even know
if i'd met you in real life at that point,
but I remember saying, that's a sister, and I was like, see,
get off the hotcakes and get on there, get on
the mc muffins. Do they call them mcgriddles in the States?
Oh my god, the States. I am so freaking jealous. Okay,

I'm gonna tell you what they have. They have the
normal ones that we have, just like the mcmuffins, and
they're English muffins. They have mcgriddles, so that's different. It's different,
and mcgriddle I believe. Okay. So there's two different ones.
There's one that's like a hot cake bun. So the
bun is made out of pancakes, which is just like
my two favorite things, brokay. That's like the sweet and

savory thing. Yeah, and it's got like maple syrup on it.
And then there's also another one, which is like a
biscuit muffin. It's not called that, but it's like you
know how they have scones in the States, but they
eat like it was savory food. So the buns are
made out of scones. So they have three different types
and we're just like sitting here with one. Yeah, the
make griddle is so good. But also the macas in

Japan they have some really next level stuff. Do they
have no beer? You need to go? Tell me book
a ticket. What's your favorite two in the Japanese menu?
They've got heaps of march of flavored stuff. They've got
like a much of ice cream, Like keep that march
of stuff like I can't remember off the top of
my head. But also like look it up on YouTube.
It's insane. I love watching the comparisons on YouTube of

fast food takeaway chains in different countries. It's so fascinating. Yeah,
I'm fascinating TikTok for me, and I watch them all
the time, like the little reviews. And I also like
when people come here and they try like our yeah
takeaway and see what they think and they're like yes,
and I'm like, it's great. What are you talking about?
So good? Okay? Last one is grilled, So firstly, what
(14:49):
is your favorite thing to eat a grilled I am
asucker for the mustard and pickled burger. I love it,
love mustard really so so much. Oh my gosh, it's
so good. I love them so much. But I don't
eat red beets so I don't. All right, you don't
go for that one? What do you go to that one?
You know? What's so random is Love the Burden. Bree

always have loved that one. Big fan. Love the Simon says, yep,
but randomly, And this is a really big plot twist
for me. I love the Garden Goodness burger, and not
because it's healthy by any means. Like the calories I'm
fairly sure are probably even more than one with actual
meat in them. But I love that garden patty. It's
not the fake meat I would. I don't do beyond meat.
(15:32):
I don't do fake meat. It's like a I think
it's made from chickpeas or something. But it is so
delicious and tastes so fresh. My sister gets the salmon,
she's obsessed with it. She is vegan, but she like
wouldn't do the fake meats either, And the Garden Goodness
is delicious. I need to try it. Yeah, you do,
I really really good. But I just can't go past
like mustard and pickles in a burger us. That's why

macus is so good. That's you know. I love me
a mustard pictures like a girkin, like oh, I could
eat them on their own, to be honest to me,
to me, and also the chips, like I see these
things like I can't can't forget about the chips. That's
also another thing, give it to the best thing that
grilled ever did was when they brought out the chip

boards to get like some of all of the chips,
because you know, it's like Sophie's choice deciding do I
want plain chips, sweet potato chip? And sometimes it's nice
to just have a bit of avah yeah, pack pick
pick pick to pack pack to them in my bag.
Not be able to handle the sweet the sweet chili
like mayo? Would you so you haven't even had that?

Or the chipotlet mayo? I like Chipotle? Okay, yeah, yeah, Actually,
can I tell you a really funny story quickly about Chipotle.
I once on air called it chippolade. Oh I probably
have done that. I get called out for a lot
of things, like when Kingla first came in and everyone
called it quinoa. It looks like quinoaa. Okay. To wrap

it up, what is then your favorite hack for grilled? Okay,
so for grilled, the burghers are actually pretty good on
their own, like some of the other options that I
mentioned before. One of the things that I would avoid
doing when going to grilled is being like, oh, like,
I don't want to get a burger because I want
to be healthy, Let's op for the salad. Because the
caesar salad on the grilled menu actually has more calories

than a lot of the burgers on the menu. Yeah.
I think a lot of salads actually do have that, Yeah, exactly,
because they're adding things, like I'm pretty sure for the
caesar salad it's got like quite a high fatty dressing,
which you know, has a lot of calories in it.
It's also adding croutons, so you're literally having a burger,
but it's just in like little cube forms, do you
know what I mean. Yeah, Like the amount of kroutons

that they put in it is probably having to add
a lot of stuff to it to make it taste
nice and for it to be satiating. Yeah. So, if
you're going to a burger restaurant, get the burger, get
the bloody burger, and not to shit on salads. They
have a few other salads that are pretty good options. Yeah,
but if I'm going to grilled grilled is the burger place,
get a burger. I tried the Barbie Berg. I was
just gonna ask it was good. Like I love that

they had like a pineapple on it. I feel like
that really chopped it off, which is really out of
character for me. Nah, I am team Pineapple. Put it
on everything, on my pizza, on my ice cream, in
my chocolate, on my burger, my life, in my mouth.
The pink Mayo, I think, I like love the concept

that it's pink, but I think I was expecting a
Herb Mayo, and like it makes sense that it wasn't,
because otherwise it would look really rogue like pink Mayo
with like a bunch of green little bits in it.
But it just wasn't as slavesome as the Herb Mayo.
You just can't be a herb mao. You know what
the pineapple is giving me. It's giving me like fish
and ship burger vibes. You know how when you go
to fish and chips, or when you get a burger

with the lot and it's got like an egg on it,
it's got beetroot, it's got all the things, it's got pineapple.
