Carolyn Ayers is a philanthropist, public speaker, and mentor. With an undeniable passion for empowering women, men, young ladies, and young men, it is evident that she is a born leader. Ms. Ayers is the founder of Women of Distinction Outreach, a Non-profit Organization. She is a published author who consults and mentors inspiring writers with their manuscripts through Reach the Press Publishing.
For the past ten years, she has been La’Shaes, Organization LLC's underwriter in networking, community outreach, and motivating Business Women Expos. Ms. Ayers gives Author showcases that expose authors and aspiring authors across the globe. She has hosted conferences encouraging men and women and promoting entrepreneurship as she travels. Ms. Ayers has diverse career experience as a Dental scrub nurse, logistician, former DC Notary, and paraprofessional, and she served in the United States Air Force. Her career spans 40 years, 32 years as a federal government employee serving our nation’s veterans. She is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Ms. Ayers's new adventure after retirement, she wrote and produced a film entitled Black Girl Struggles Triumph. She wanted to tell her story and was inspired by the stories of women of color, many of whom have faced incredible obstacles. Carolyn wanted to create a space for women, not just women of color but anyone who needs to overcome adversity, to share their stories in a positive and empowering environment.
