Hey, What’s Up! It’s Tommy. This episode is a little shorter, but it’s packed with some personal updates and big excitement for what’s ahead. I talk about the next phase of Wyatt’s healing journey, including upcoming testing we’re doing to better understand his gut health—especially looking into Candida, PANDAS, and gluten sensitivity. I share what we’ve learned so far, how tricky gluten can be, and the surprising places it hides (yep, even in walking tacos!).

We also talk about the emotional rollercoaster of parenting a nonverbal or young autistic child—where you feel like you’re making progress but can’t always pinpoint why. I go over the symptoms of PANDAS and Candida and how closely they can mimic or amplify autism traits. These aren’t magic fixes, but they give us hope and more pieces to this complex puzzle.

And even though I’m stretched thin and pushing through stress, I’m committed to staying positive, showing up for my family, and sharing it all with you. We’re not alone—and that’s what this is all about.

Stay tuned, because I’ve got a test result update coming soon and some great interviews on the way—including Wyatt’s doctor and some amazing voices in the autism community.

Key Takeaways

  • Candida and PANDAS symptoms can overlap significantly with autism traits—testing can offer insight and hope.
  • Gluten hides everywhere, and going truly gluten-free takes vigilance and time.
  • Gut health is everything—especially for neurodivergent kids. Healing often starts from the inside out.
  • Progress is hard to track with nonverbal kids, so documenting and testing are essential.
  • You’re not alone. If you’re a parent feeling desperate or overwhelmed, there’s a community here for you.
  • Stress is real, but so is recovery. Sauna, workouts, cold showers—find what helps you reset.
