I am Dr. Laurie Bruce, a clinical psychologist and mindfulness coach. For the last 25 years, I have had the privilege of providing psychotherapy, consultation and supervision to thousands of clients and students. One of my greatest joys is providing psychological and emotional support to other helpers: therapists, physicians, teachers, moms and anyone who finds themselves in the position of caring for others. My greatest form of self-care is to engage in my own personal therapy. I have had the privilege of working with some gifted therapists over the years. My investment in my own therapy has been the single most important gift I have given myself and it helps me to be the best therapist, mother and friend that I can be. This podcast is for you if you are someone who gives so much to others that you have exhausted yourself. If you are a striver, a perfectionist and someone who generally burns themselves out by putting others’ needs ahead of your own, then this is the show for you. I am here to share wisdom that I have learned over the last two and a half decades from my clients, my supervisors and my own therapists. Join me for discussions on mindfulness, resilience, authenticity, radical acceptance, vulnerability, boundaries and so much more. Visit me at www.drlauriebruce.com
