Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Fison's daily Morning best.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Well, let's start off a little boxing, shall we, because
you know you're looking at this fight coming up. It's
in the Barclays on Saturday in Brooklyn. Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia,
Devon Hany a massive favorite eight to one favorite Garcia
here plus five point fifty. If you've been watching and
paying attention to the annex of one Ryan Garcia, you go,

(00:27):
where's this head? This kid's going crazy, right, Devin Hany
kind of all business out there? Is there a way
that you want to look at this fight? Because to me,
as nuts as Ryan Garcia has been leading up to
this fight, sometimes craziness is a good thing. Sometimes it ain't.
I think it's in the latter category. This time. I'm
looking at a Hania as a ko prop here possibly

(00:49):
of getting Ryan Garcia out of there. Do you see
this one going deep into the Barclays?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yea. Haney is kind of one of the new guys
that's you know, you really got to watch on the
pound for pound rank. This guy, you know, has been
absolutely tremendous and really up there. I think is one
of the better young fighters. And you know, I think
that this I think that this is a showcase for him,
I really do. This is going to be in the
Barclay Center on Saturday, where Devin Haney of course won

(01:17):
the last fight in December by unanimous decision over Regis
Prograce won the WCDC super lightweight title and then of
course had the WBA Super the WBC, the IBF, the
WBO in the Ring Magazine lightweight titles. So yeah, he
is going to get Ryan Garcia here on Saturday in

(01:39):
Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. As I mentioned, Garcia just
the one loss he did lose two Tank Davonte Davis
got knocked out here last April and then beat Oscar
Duarte and the Toyota Center down in Houston last December.
But I'd lean under ten and a half rounds here,
and I think it's plus money about a dollar. That's

(02:01):
the way I would go here. I think that this
is definitely a showcase for Devin hate.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah, and again Ryan maybe he can maybe my words,
I'd look to the Hainy side on the prop side
for a ko to get Garcia out of there, which
also would lead your underplay at ten and a half.
I think both of those are good ways to look
at that fight on Saturday night. Two fights are going
to have on the NBA in the hardwood to try
to get into the second season. As you have your
coffee today and make those bets. It's gonna be the

(02:26):
Bulls against Miami without Jimmy Buckets, no Jimmy Butler, and
even if Miami is able to win this one, they're
a point a half favorite to do. So report is
you're not gonna have Jimmy Butler going forward for at
least three weeks. So you know it's a wounded animal
in Miami. There can be danger in going up against that.
We know Alex Caruso looks like we don't know his
status for the Bulls. On the other side, Bulls look

(02:49):
great against Atlanta. Can they look great against Miami without
Jimmy Butler.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah, Look, it's gonna be tough for sledding even without
Jimmy Butler. Miami still very good defensively, and we know
Spoe will mix in those zones, they're really tough to score. Again.
So you know a couple of ways I might play
this if you like Miami. I think maybe one way
to play this if you kind of handicap it through
the total, which has dropped DeMar derozen under twenty six

(03:16):
and a half points, makes a lot of sense to me.
I know it was twenty twenty seven and a half
early on, but I think it's going to be tough
for him to score, and I think that they can
make the adjustments accordingly to try to try to take
him away, and that's what Miami is good at doing,
is taking you know, top scores away. A couple other
props I might look at at that game Bam out

(03:36):
of Bio over his assist I think you're seeing four
and a half in the market Miami without without Jimmy
and also without Rogier, you're gonna see Bam. Assuming he
doesn't get in foul trouble like he did against Philadelphia
in the play in game on Wednesday. He's gonna play
probably thirty six minutes here. So he's the guy that
can kind of create. He's a good passer out of

(03:58):
the paint, you know, looking for open shooters. So I
think that that would be a way to look at
a prop. And maybe also if you believe in fading
and selling at the top of the market, well who's
at the top of the market. The guy that scored
forty two points. It be white. So you know, perhaps points,
rebounds and a system trying to half the.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Points for that problem. Yeah, I think it's got.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Thirty and a half on points, rebounds and assists, and
that might be the way I would go here. Look
to the under.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Absolutely the other game to try to play their way in.
The Kings are going to be going to New Orleans
and again injury concerns here for the Pelties because no
Zion Williamson in this one, as he had to leave
late in that Laker loss, and he was putting up
a spectacular performance until that injury. Are they good enough? Look,
they dominated the Kings in the regular season, but now
without Zion, got a win to get in Kings that

(04:48):
flipped to the favorites here. You can understand without Zion
in the lineup zero point and a half or Sacramento
on the road.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Yeah, I don't know what to do with this game really,
because obviously the Kings's favorites, it's like, oh, you know
they're due because they've lost five in a row to
this team. But you know, Duck is Areaan who is
a guest on our program Thursday night. He made a
very good case. I think. I think for the Pelicans
here in terms of who's going to step up, like

(05:14):
who's going to replace that scoring for Zion, I think
the candidate would probably be Troy Murphy because not only Zion,
but Brandon Ingram only played like what twenty five minutes
and he only played twenty three in the game before
on Sunday in the regular season finale. So look, you
got to have spot up shooters, and Pelicans' best spot
up shooter is probably Trey Murphy the third. So look

(05:36):
at maybe over his points here, I think it's sixteen
and a half or seventeen and a half is in
the market.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Let's look at Major League Baseball and West Ronolds Quiz
spot quiz, who's the hottest team right now in the
National League?

Speaker 1 (05:49):
The hottest team in the National League would be the
New York Mets baby the chapter after Gary Cohen declared
him dead when they started. Oh it's it's like, this
is so depressing, hey.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
As a Metropolitan backer, it was depressing. I was with
Gary and Matt Mets of one eight to the last ten.
The hottest team right now one four in a row.
Braves have also won four but the Mets of one
eight of the last ten. Now they're gonna take that
winning streak out on the left coast here and take
on Yoshi Yamamoto and the Dodgers. You can understand why
Yamamoto here and the and the Dodgers are big favorites,
almost a two dollars betting favorite against Sean and I

(06:24):
and the Mets. Can the Mets upset the Apple cart
and keep this thing rolling and make it five?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Perhaps they could, But Yamamoto has been a lot better.
Remember he got rocked in his debut in the career series,
only made it out an inning and gave up five
n runs and four hits. But ever since then he's
only gone five innings because, look, they're trying not to
wear a ma at because the Dodgers are so banged
up in terms of their pitching without Kershaw and without

(06:50):
Buehler and without the ginger guard Dustin May, so they're
having to kind of baby these guys a little bit.
He's only went five innings each in his last three starts,
but struck out five against Saint Louis, struck out eight
on the road in Wrigley at Chicago, and then struck
out six against the Padres and has gotten wins in
two of those last three starts, or so, you know,

(07:11):
like Yamamoto, maybe maybe over his strikeouts, especially if it's
like four and a half, it would would would be
the way I would look because he hasn't shown that
that he can go past five innings. Jed Or they
certainly haven't shown that he can go past five innings.
But now that I'm looking at it, five and a
half a little bit too rich in mine.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Yeah, if you can get a lower probably playable, but
five and a half does feel a little bit steep.
In the last two free agents in Major League Baseball
this year that we're still in the market for the
longest time, felt like Jordan Montgomery and Blake Snell. They
find new places. Jordan's in Arizona, Blake's in San Francisco.
They're going to be going up against each other tomorrow night.
Gigontay's got a nice easy, five nothing win over the
Dbacks on Thursday night they are minus a dollar thirty

(07:53):
to keep that rolling with Snell against Montgomery, what are
you making these two guys? Because boy, so many teams
felt like if I gotta go get one more Starughter.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
These are the guys was talking and these two guys
especially Blake Snell has been pretty shaky in his first
two starts. Only went three innings against the Washington Nationals,
only went four innings at Tampa Bay. And they're trying
to keep his pitch count limited to like seventy five pitches.
But that's what Blake Snell does. He always struggles to

(08:20):
start the season. He tries to like work those corners,
walks too many guys, yep, and then kind of you
get into the early summertime and then into the fall obviously,
and he starts to be a different pitcher. So a
little bit of money on Montgomery. But this is Montgomery's debut.
Hadn't pitched since the World Series in October twenty eighth,
so you know, first start for the Snakes. Can't think

(08:42):
that he's gonna maybe go all that deep into the
game because I think, you know, this might be if
we get five innings out of him, then that's it.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Kind of with the Yamamota thought, right, you just kind
of bring him in slowly here since we haven't seen
a Montgomery so long.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Yeah, yeah, so look, I could see bullpens getting heavy
usage for both.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Yeah, I think that's a really good way to handicap
those two West Coast games here, between the Giants and
the Vbacs and my Metropolitans and those Dodgers.
