Speaker 2 (00:31):
Could that kombucha or sauerkraut actually be making your gut worse?
Welcome to Accelerated Health of Serabianta, where I cut through
the noise fast track your journey to better health. I'm
your host, CEO, and founder of Accelerated Health Products and
certified by the National Association of Nutritional Professionals. I'm here
to share the latest unsupplements, wellness x, natural health solutions

(00:54):
that don't work and the ones that work, from boosting
energy to detoxing, do balancing gus but and your hormones
and everything in between. So let's dive in. For years,
foods like kombucha, sauer kraut, kiefer, They've all been celebrated
as gut healing miracles. I would buy these little containers
of sauer kraut and literally eat them out, probably a

(01:18):
half of a container at a time. It tasted so good.
And don't get me started on kobuchare. Me and my girls.
We would go to the natural market and we get
our kombuchas and it would taste so good and we
would ignore the fact that we'd get bloated afterwards. Oh,
but that's okay, because it's so good for you. It
doesn't matter. The bloat must be a good sign, right.

(01:39):
They're praised for these natural probiotics, digestive enzymes, living qualities.
They're said to restore balance to the microbiome. And we
all know that it's all about gut health, all about
the microbiome, all about probiotics. But this is the truth.
Not all fermented foods are beneficial, and for many people

(02:01):
they can make your gut issues worse. Especially now in
twenty twenty five and going into twenty twenty six, our
world has changed. So what's the reality behind fermentation. It's
an ancient, persever way of preserving foods that relies on bacteria.
It needs to break down those sugars in the food

(02:24):
to make your gut be able to process it better,
and then this process produces beneficial acids microbial strains. But
what's wrong with it is that they're unpredictable. I think
about it like rowing a boat. Okay, my family rows crew. Right,
You've got the ports and the starboards. Each person. You've

(02:45):
got four people that reports four people that are starboards.
You need four of each to row straight. What if
I had really strong eight people, but they were all starboards.
You're going in circles. You're not going to win the race. Right.
That's kind of the same thing. Even if you're putting
good bacteria in your gut, what if it's too much

(03:08):
of the wrong thing. What if we don't even know
what's in there. These fermented foods are filled with wild,
unregulated bacteria and you just don't know what it is.
Every batch of kombucha or sauerkraut is different, So when
I bought my sauerkraut from the market, the two containers
could be different and affect my gut differently. This is

(03:33):
the other thing. More people than ever are having histamine intolerance.
I never had an issue before, and I sure do now.
I have to take my hist harmony every day with
my meals, and I do other things to lower histamine reaction.
I stay away from the high histamine foods like bone broth, avocado, bananas,

(03:54):
those healthy foods that could be backfired. And even kombucha
and even probiotics, they're high histamine. The spike protein has
caused more histamine intolerance in US than ever before. So
it's not just the people that have a sniffing nose
or allergies that have histamine issues anymore. It's almost everybody.

(04:16):
So these bacteria can have these histamine producing microbes or
yea strains that contribute to inflammation, and it might not
show up as a stiff, snuffey nose. It might show
up as inflammation in your joints. And so what might
help one person's digestion can make another person worse. So

(04:37):
why are these fermented foods backfiring? Okay, so they can
feed the wrong bacteria. They contain sugars and prebiotic fibers
that can fuel the harmful bacteria or yeast in an
already imbalanced cut, people with cebo where the bacteria have
migrated into the small intestine, these foods can become a

(04:58):
perfect fuel for those bacteria that you don't want there,
leading to bloating, pain irregularity. Guys, it's not good to
be bloated. That's your body telling you something. It's never
normal to be bloated, so listen to your body. They

(05:19):
also can increase that histamine production, so they naturally contain
histamines and trigger inflammation and allergy type reactions. So if
your body isn't breaking down histamine properly due to the
DAO enzyme deficiency or gut inflammation, you may experience headaches, rashes,

(05:41):
sinus congestion, anxiety, insomnia. Your anxiety might not be the
financial stress or the school test, or it actually might
be your kombucha. It can also these fermented foods can
disrupt pH and worsen your dysbiosis. So the acids and

(06:01):
live bacteria and fermented foods can temporarily affect that gut pH.
For someone with a compromised microbiome or a backed up liver,
which most of us have, this shift can feed opportunistic
bacteria rather than support the healthy ones, and the result
more bloating, constipation or loose stools. That's not normal either

(06:24):
constipation loose stools. You want to have regular balel movements,
two to three movements a day, and they should be
normal looking. Think about when you're a baby, you ate
you pooped, you hate you pooped. That's what the human
body's supposed to do. Even my dogs, that's what they do, right,
And when they don't, you know something's rough. So they

(06:45):
can also introduce these opportunistic organisms. So home fermented foods,
especially if they're not prepared under sterile conditions, may harbor mold,
unwanted microbial species, and they can you're already in flame
digestive track. People who think they have no gut issues,

(07:06):
most of them still have leaky gut. What does leaky
gut look like? You are not absorbing the nutrients that
you think you're taking in, and we're not eating the
nutrient dense food that our grandparents did because our soils
are depleted. So we have to work even harder on
our gut health to get the nutrients we want. That's

(07:26):
why we are binging. Why are we binging because our
body says, okay, I need more food because I'm not
getting the nutrients that i'm promised keep eating. And you
just keep eating. You have a high caloric intake but
low nutrient density, and then you have a gut that's
not absorbing very well because it's leaky. So the fermented

(07:49):
foods can actually make it worse. So it's important to
note that The term probiotic has a specific scientific definition.
It refers to live micro organize that, when they're administered
in adequate amounts, prove health benefit to the host. Most
fermented foods don't meet this definition because the strains that

(08:12):
contain that they contain haven't been clinically studied or standardized.
So you want the right strains for the right conditions.
And like I mentioned, the modern diet has made everything worse.
Our ancestors thrived on fermented food because their guts were good,
their environments were normal, natural, right. We talk about the

(08:36):
paleo diet that was just the regular diet before there
was no pult processed foods. There was no glyphis sate
the glyphis state, and the pesticides destroy good bacteria. The pfas,
the microplastics, heavy metals, they alter the gut floor. And
I do everything I can. I eat as clean as
I can, I stay on track. I really don't veer much.

(09:00):
I'm kind of boring, but I'm a good example where
my gut can get hit because it's really hard to
avoid these modern threats, and our food system has been hijacked.
The processed food diets that feed pathogenic yeast and bacteria
only make it worse. And seventy percent of the American

(09:21):
diet is processed foods, so we're in a toxic world.
The gut is under a constant threat. Right then you
throw into it, throw into this already inflamed and working
so hard gut with bad microbes, dumping in random fermented bacteria,

(09:42):
and it can overwhelm the system. So you want to
promote balance. And it's almost like it's more important of
what you don't take in versus what you do take in.
So what do we do about it? If we're getting
rid of our kombucha that tastes so good, I know,
I believe me, I know I miss it. What do

(10:04):
we do about it? Number One? Lower stress. This is
something I'm really trying to do right now because I'm
under a lot of stress and I feel it my gut.
I feel bloated, and it's stress. It's not food I'm eating,
but the chronic stress elevates cortisol and adrenaline, which increases
the acidity, slow metabolism, weakens the intestinal barrier, all of

(10:27):
this leaky gut stuff, right, and then inflammation throughout the body,
sluggish digestion because it's going to slow down your thyroid.
Your thyroid says, hey, I'm under threat. I need to
store fat around my belly. I'm going to eat away
at my muscles. I'm going to slow down my metabolism,
and I'm going to shut down my digestion because I'm

(10:50):
not in a position to be digesting food right now.
I'm also going to get a little constipated and my
energy is not going to be great and everything slows down.
That stress not good. You can't pretend you're not stressed.
You have to work on it. So when the bodies
in that fight or flight mode, stomach acid drops. You

(11:13):
need stomach acid to digest food. The digestive enzymes slow
down and nutrient absorption goes down because your body says,
I can't be eating right now. I'm stressed. I'm running
from a tiger. So the solution is not another supplement,
but to shift the body into a parasympathetic state. How

(11:34):
do you get there? Pray before you eat, meditate, yoga,
walk your dog in the morning when the sun comes
is coming up, and at night when the sun's going down.
Deep breathing, gratitude, journaling, light exercise. Don't kill your body.
That's another stressor. Then you want to eliminate the oxalates.

(11:57):
The oxalates in your diet. Are those healthy foods almonds,
almond flour or almond milk, spinach, kale, berries, most nuts.
I know, these healthy foods that we've been told we
should be eating because we're on a gluten free diet, right.
But these oxlets are sharp little crystals that are founding

(12:19):
these healthy foods, and they get jabbed into your joints,
into your thyroids, slow down your thyroid, make your brain,
give you your brain fog, kill your gut. They also produce amyloids.
Amyloids disrupt the gut. They get lodged into the brain,
leading to Alzheimer's and dementia and other issues, and then

(12:43):
they can actually disrupt your gut even more. So it's
this vicious cycle. So the other thing they do is
they bind to those minerals. We need our minerals because
we're not kidding enough in the first place. But they
bind to those minerals, irritate your tissues, promote biofilm formation,
and that is really a problem because this is a

(13:06):
sticky shield that the microbes, that the pathogenic microbes, viruses
bacteria protect themselves, so then your immune system can't get
to them. And we're going into flu season, so this
is even more important. And we went through a pandemic
and biofilm became even a bigger issue. So these biofilms

(13:27):
strength and candid, a mold, bad bacteria, worse than the
leaky gut in dysbiosis. So you want to reduce the
oxalate foods, and you can also use some of the
supplements that we're talking about in a minute. Then you
want to avoid the sulfur heavy foods. Most of us
can't handle them now, and that's because of the spike

(13:47):
protein and our digestive pathways are not open, our detox
pathways are not open. So sulfur foods are onions, garlic,
the crucifer's vegetables, glue to thion nec Are you taking
those supplements, they might be that firing and actually clogging

(14:09):
your detox pathways in your liver, making your liver even worse.
And our livers are already under attack from the heavy
metals and the microplastics and the food supply and all
the things. The fluorite in the water, so it just
becomes this toxic soup and our bodies say I give up.
So unless your detox channels are cleared, you want to

(14:32):
limit the sulfur intake and reduce the stress on the liver. Now,
this isn't for a forever thing. Possibly you could possibly
reintroduce them when you're in a better state of health.
But another little clue as to how your liver's doing
when you need a high fat meal, do you get nauseous?

(14:54):
Do you feel bloated up here on your right side?
That's your liver and our livers really got hit hard
with a spike protein. And then also with all of
these toxins and a congested liver struggles to metabolize fat,
it will just store that fat and it can lead
to nausea, bloating, fat gain even on a clean diet.

(15:15):
So maybe choose the leaner meats leaner cuts of bison
elk Venison. They are my go to and they taste
so good. There's a link below for my go to
website where I order and I stock my freezer, so
my boys in the house can eat one meat and
I eat a different or if whatever I want, and

(15:36):
it's super easy. Also cuts down on the marketing and
my errands As a mom, I love Force of nature
dot com, but the link below will give you a
discount as well. So anyway, I stick to the leaner
meats when I feel like my liver is struggling a bit,
so as the liver improves. You can have the healthy

(15:58):
fats totally fine the wildfish, pasture raised animal fats going
for the ribbi versus the leaner filet. You can also
have the healthy fats like olive oil, butter ghee. Always
stay away from the inflammatory seed oils soybean corns, sunflower oil,

(16:18):
canola oil. They are not good for you at any time.
They're inflammatory to the body. And then how do we
repair the gut. This is where supplements come in. I'm
going to go through quite a few. You don't need
all of them, but some of them will help your
system get back on track. But number one is the

(16:38):
accelerated cellular detox powder. It's the gut superhero. I do
not go without it. I'm traveling this weekend and you
better believe I'm putting a baggie of that in my
suitcase because you don't know what the restaurants are going
to be serving you. It helps soak up the toxins
you're kicking out. It will soak up the toxins from
any food poisoning or pathogens, or the heavy metals anything

(17:01):
that you're taking in. It will also soak up alcohol
if you choose to have a drink, so because the
fermented foods are a wild card. This formula is the
Cleanup Crew. It combines six organic food based ingredients. Micronized zeolite,
human grade dimitaceous earth, vegan version of chitasin which helps

(17:26):
soak up that excess fat and cholesterol you don't want
in your body, Organic trifoilau organic slippery elm and activati
of charcoal so soaks up the toxins, balances digestion, calms
gut inflammation, increases bowel movements. It's great. It will reduce
that bloating gas, help with the heavy metals pesticides in radiation,

(17:48):
improve your nutrient absorption, and help with that leaky gut.
Of course, it's enhanced with scalear frequencies to take it
to another level of efficacy. The next one is accelerated fast.
You know, this is a supplement that I never go without.
I don't fast very long anymore. I typically take the

(18:09):
accelerated fast in the morning and I'll eat my first
meal at around ten or eleven. But it helps with
the intermittent fasting period to reduced inflammation in the gut,
stabilize my blood sugars so I'm not hungry, so I
can give my body those extra hours of fasting to
heal that leaky gut. Intermint and fasting is so great

(18:31):
for the gut, and you don't think about food. So
when the digestive system rests, inflammation decreases, intestinal lining begins
to repair itself, and the accelerated fast makes it so easy.
Increases atp Your energy is great. You go do your
workout or whatever you're doing in the morning, and you

(18:51):
feel good. And it helps your body learn how to
turn its own body fat into ketones. It's kind of
that spark that sparks the fire. So it is very
helpful in helping you transition into a lower carb diet.
Now I eat my carbs, but i eat my carbs

(19:12):
later in the day or at night, and I'm more
intermitt and fasting and in a key tone state in
the early part of the day. And the early part
of the day is when my brain's on fire and
my stomach is empty for the first couple hours of
the day and I feel great. But this helps reduce
the inflammation and bloating, supports your liver and converts that

(19:34):
toxic liver fat. How many of you have faty liver
at least fifty percent of the United States does. It
turns that toxic liver fat into usable energy, boost your
metabolism and helps with cellular repair. Next is accelerated ancient salt.
You think of salt as just something for food for tasting,
but it actually replenishes, detoxifies, and restores balance in your body.

(20:01):
It is so important for the gut. A lot of
times if you get nauseous, just putting the accelerated engine
salt on your tongue, the nausea goes away. But electrolyte
depletion can lead to fatigue, poor digestion, sluggish detoxification. So
as we're detoxing, you want to plump up the blood
with electrolytes with the salt to flush those toxins out.

(20:25):
So it is a great salt full of sixty two minerals,
no microplastics or any of the toxins that most Hemalaian
salts or other unrefined salts have helps with constipation, improves
that intracellular hydration, nutrient absorption, helps with the bile flow
for better fat metabolism. Then I use the accelerated leaky

(20:51):
gut bundle. Now, megaspore is one of the supplements, it's
the main one, and it's a spore biotic, not the
typical probeiot. Most probiotics are high histamine where they are
putting ten strains a lot, a lot, a lot of
maybe five to ten strains. But like I said, you

(21:12):
don't want eight rowers that are all on the same side.
You're going to row in circles and you're not going
to go straight. You need the right bacteria for your
gut and that might be different than for my gut.
That's where megaspore comes in because it goes down into
the gut and it says, hey, you need this that
and a little bit of this and none of that,

(21:32):
and it does what your gut needs and it promotes
that microbial diversity. It reconditions the gut. Then megapri is
a prebiotic that feeds the beneficial bacteria from megaspor and
megamucrosa is helping heal that intestinal lining. So those three

(21:53):
go together. Now additional support that you might need. Not
everybody needs HCl guard. This was a game changer for me.
As we age, stomach acid goes down. So you might say,
I just you talk about animal protein, I can't eat it.
It just sits in my stomach. That's because you're low

(22:13):
in stomach acid. HCl guard helps unfold those proteins so
your body actually absorbs the nutrients from it. Okay, And
it really helps with digestion, bloat, all of the things.
It improves that protein digestion. It helps against those harmful
organisms as well, like salmonilla and E. Coli. Maybe you

(22:35):
had some chicken that has some ME Coli in it
and you take it with HCl guard, you're not going
to get hit because it's going to kill it before
it gets into your system. It helps with bloating, burping, heartburn.
If you have acid reflex that's from low stomach acid,
you need HCl Okay. That burping and heartburn is not

(22:57):
from too much acid. So that is where a myth
is and people think they need more tongues, they actually
need more acid. Like the HCl guard. I have been
doing my liver flush cleanse every month ever since COVID,
ever since the pandemic. Our livers, they just need all

(23:18):
the help they can get, and once you do them,
they feel great. They're easy. I'm actually doing one today.
But what helps is that when that liver is congested,
the toxins back up into the gut, slowing digestion and
damaging the beneficial bacteria. So this will throw those stones

(23:38):
into the toilet, the gallstones, liver stones, and it will
help improve bileflow, detoxification. Your energy will shoot up. It's amazing.
It improves the fat metabolism, balances your hormones. Your hormones
are controlled in that liver, so is your cholesterol, and
so is the conversion of your thyroid hormone T four

(23:59):
to T three. So if your metabolism slow, it might
be because of that conversion is not happening in your liver.
It will also reduce inflammation throughout the body and help
with the digestion and elimination. Another enzyme supplement you may
need is called holozyme. And if food isn't digesting properly

(24:20):
and it's fermenting in the gut, even if it's not
a fermented food, it can cause gas and bloating, discomfort,
and so hoolozyme is a very unique digestive enzyme. I've
spent thousands of dollars on all of the enzymes out there.
This is the first one that worked for me. It
breaks down the proteins, fats and carbs, helps with the

(24:41):
gas and bloating. It pairs very well with the HCl
guard if you need that extra support. Now, a new
supplement to the accelerated line that has been a game
changer and it saved me going through my skin breakout
parasitic infection that my body was just under it attack.
My libero is under attack. I had worms literally crawling

(25:03):
out of my skin. I don't wish this upon anybody,
but it's the accelerated super Candida cleansed supplement and it
goes after candida, fungus, parasites, mold, all of those things
could be causing your bloat. Most people have these things
living inside of them and they're taking over. They control

(25:26):
your brain and your anxiety and your nervous system and
your sleep and if your symptoms are worse, whatever your
symptoms are during the full moon and the new moon,
you've got parasites and you've got to address it. I
do this at least once a quarter just because of
what I went through. But for most people, I recommend

(25:47):
it two times a year, especially if you have dogs
or other animals because they've got parasites and you do.
I do this for my dogs as well. So what's
different about this supplement is it breaks down the chiten
of the parasite and the candied and the fungus. So
the chiiten is a shell like a lobster shell, so

(26:09):
your immune system can't get inside to kill the viruses
or bacteria or the heavy metals that the parasites have
swallowed and they're protecting. So your immune system's like I
can't see anything, I can't do anything. That's where this
supplement comes in. It's not it doesn't touch your liver.
It works very very effectively, and you do five days on,

(26:33):
ten days off. You reprepeat that three three times, super easy.
I even got my mom to do it and she's
eighty three super easy. Okay. So if you suffer from
from constipation, which most people do, especially women, and especially
as our hormones are changing, lacks of comfort is a
game changer. It is the one where I've had people say, Sarah,

(26:57):
you don't have something for me, because I've tried everything
and I don't poop except for maybe once a week,
and this has gotten them going. So it's very strong,
and you want to get the poop out because otherwise
you're allowing toxins and estrogens to recirculate and feeding the
very problem that disrupts the gut. So super super effective.

(27:21):
You may not need something that strong. If you don't,
you can use magnesium breakthrough or you can try the
oxy powder as different options. They all have different levels
of gentleness versus more more aggressive. The lax of comfort
is the most powerful. So I hope this helps. Try

(27:43):
to find another drink other than kibucha. Try to skip
the sour kraut. I know it tastes so good, but
you want to give your gut a break and lower
the histamines and help it do its job in this
new reality of modern society that we are living in.
So hopefully this was helpful. I hope you got some

Stuff You Should Know
Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
