Could eating ramen regularly raise your risk of early death? Yes,
and new studies out the problem refined salt, processed ingredients,
and toxic oils. Welcome to Accelerated Health with Sarah Banda,
where I cut through the noise and fast track your
journey to better health. I'm your host, CEO and founder
of Accelerated Health Products and certified by the National Association

(00:54):
of Nutritional Professionals, and I'm here to share the latest
un supplements. Wellness has natural health solution that actually work,
from boosting energy to detoxing to balancing hormones and everything
in between. I will help you reach your optimal health.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
A new study out of Japan has caught the attention
by linking frequent raman consumption with elevated risk of early mortality,
especially in men under the age of seventy who drink
a large proportion of the salty broth and consume alcohol Okay, duh. Right.

(01:33):
So there's a lot wrong with this study and there's
a lot of takeaways. So while the authors emphasize that
the work is observational right and cannot definitely prove the causation,
this does highlight an important truth. Highly processed sodium heavy

(01:53):
foods like ramen can excel accelerate health decline. So what
they're talking about is foods that are refined salt heavy sodium.
Heavy sodium without all of the other minerals and the
electrolytes that your cells need, puts things out of balance,
takes the teeter totter and goes like this right, So

(02:17):
the key findings from the Ramen study. The study tracked
over sixty seven hundred Japanese adults age forty and over
for about four and a half years. The frequent ramen
consumers were typically men, younger, with higher BMIs, and more
likely to smoke and drink. Because when you eat junk,

(02:37):
you tend to do some other things too. When you
exercise and you eat clean, you tend to sleep better
and focus on your well being. It's just the law
of numbers. It's the way you do your life and
your attitude towards it. So when you tend to eat
process foods, cheap foods not really take care of your health,

(02:59):
You're going to tend to drink and smoke and maybe
not exercise and have more stress and all of the
other factors as well. Well. During the follow up, there
were one hundred and forty five deaths, one hundred from cancer,
twenty nine from cardiovascular causes, and eating ramen more than
three times per week showed a trend toward increased mortality

(03:19):
risk in a subgroup that men under seventy who consumed
more than half of the broth had higher risk as well,
and individuals who combined the frequent ramen and alcohol. So
why is ramen so risky? Okay, we're going to take

(03:40):
a step back. It's not just ramen, right, It's the
refined salt overload. The broth is the most sodium dense component.
But this isn't the mineral rich salt. It's refined industrial salt,
pure sodium chloride, often bleached stripped of the tree. These
minerals probably have a few microplastics in there as well,

(04:04):
and over time this creates an electrolyte imbalance burdens the
kidneys that raises your blood pressure stresses the cardiovascular system.
And this is why salt has gotten a bad name.
When we're talking about salt with the bad name, we're
talking about sodium chloride full of microplastics and nothing else.

(04:24):
And then you've got the inflammatory oils and additives. The
flavor packets and toppings often include refined seed oils, the
wrong fats MSG, and these ingredients drive inflammation through the
unstable omega six. Fatty acids increase oxidative stress, free radical damage.

(04:45):
These are not the healthy fats. They spike blood sugar. Yes,
fat can increase blood sugar, it's not just sugar, and
it can drive that insulin up with those refined flowers,
and then it dilutes the new t intensity, leaving the
body starved of the critical cofactors. So number one, we

(05:06):
want to focus on the right kind of salt. Okay,
So next, what can you do about it? I know
ramen is really easy. It's a college kid thing. It's
obviously very popular in Japan, but it's popular in the
United States. But the point of today is to talk
about ultra processed foods like ramen, because they're all including

(05:32):
those unrefined the refined salts that had it is the
inflammatory oils and then the sugars. So am I expecting
you to cut all processed foods out right away? No,
let's take a balanced approach. Here. You can add in
some supplements to help detox your body, so it can

(05:52):
help process these toxins that you're loading your body up
with and decrease your risk of mortality. Number one is
accelerat iin iodine. Ninety six percent of the United States
is low in iodine. Now, when you're low in idine,
is thyroids sluggish and you have no energy. So what
are you doing. You're reaching for those cakes and cookies

(06:15):
and ramen to get the energy up, but it's not working.
It actually steals energy from you. Well, idine helps support
the thyroid, It helps the body displace all the toxic
halogens fluoride, bromide, chlorine, and even the other toxins microplastics
that are in foods like ramen. And then it works

(06:37):
with the accelerated ancient salt. So salt is not bad.
It's the refined salt that's bad. Accelerated ancient salt is
actually full of sixty two minerals. I was actually talking
to a friend of mine who says I can't be
I can't take in salt because I get puffy and

(06:57):
I retain water. There's a different rents. If I go
to sushi and I have all of that sodium, I'm
super puffy, can't take my rings off my fingers. When
I use accelerated Ancient salt, I liberally use it throughout
the day on everything with my pre workout, on my meals,
and I never get puffy from it because it has

(07:20):
all of the electrolytes to balance it out. So make
your own ramen at home and use the salt like
accelerated Ancient salt in it. But then you need to
give your liver some love because part of the reason
the risk of cardiovascular disease has increased from these processed
foods and the additives and the toxins that are in

(07:41):
these processed foods like ramen, is our liver just can't
do it. It can't handle all of these toxins. And
by giving your body a daily dose of accelerated liver carry,
you're giving your liver a little love. It helps with
the fat metabolism, the protein metabolism, your bloodshow. It's going
to help with that insulin resistance that is being caused

(08:04):
by foods like ramen. But then what else is it
going to do. It's going to turn those those calories
into energy, so you're not reaching for the processed foods
because part of the problem is you are your body's
not working like a fine tune machine. You're putting in
the fuel or you think is fuel, and it's not

(08:25):
converting into gas. It's not converting into actually being able
to step on the gas pedal and go what's happening.
It's like you're putting in diesel into a gas machine
or you're trying to plug in your electric vehicle with
some gas. Doesn't work that way. You need your liver
to be working so it can convert the calories that

(08:49):
you're taking in into energy. And that's where accelerated liver
care comes in. That is helping your fat metabolism, your
protein assimilation, and your sugar metabolism as well. Helps with
the bioflow overall liver detox It is formulated with ingredients
like milk, thistle and tika that you've heard of and
then some that you haven't heard of that are so

(09:11):
powerful from around the globe, and it is specifically and
strategically formulated with thirteen very well crafted herbs that are
going to restore and detox your liver. But with that
you need a binder. And I use this binder every

(09:31):
time I travel, every time I go out to a meal,
because I don't know what they're putting in their food.
They're mixing their olive oil with canola oil. You just
don't know. And that's accelerated cellular detox powder. This binds
up the toxins you're kicking out from the idine and
from the liver care and takes them out of your

(09:51):
body really quickly. Also helps with that alcohol soaks up
the alcohol. The accelerated liver care and the accelerated cellular
detox powder our magic for those of you that are
still drinking alcohol and can't kick the habit. The problem
is is when you don't get it out, your liver

(10:11):
is suffering, and then all the wheels fall off and
all of these mechanisms start going by the wayside. So
the accelerated cellular detox powder soaks those toxins up, helps
support your gut health, reduce the bloating, helps with regularity
and prevents the absorption of toxins. But Lastly, is that
accelerated ancient salt that I mentioned helps replenish all of

(10:35):
those minerals lost through the refined salt consumpt consumption and
your modern diet. It supports hydration, electrolyte balance, and natural
detoxification processes. It's going to plump up the blood to
kick those toxins out, and it helps buffer the effects
of the processed food sodium and promotes your energy production.

(10:57):
It's been shown that athletes can actually increase their performance
just by supplementing with an unrefined salt. Okay, so there
are the supplements that are going to ease you into Hey,
let's get our energy up while we're trying to lower
our ramen consumption. So let's try to lower that consumption

(11:18):
once to twice a week or less. If you can
cook at home with clean ingredients, whole foods. I don't
care about the carbs, the fats, and the proteins. Just
use the right ones and the whole foods. And you
can use my accelerated food guide to really get specific
with the best sourcing of fats, proteins and carbs. Season

(11:40):
with as much accelerated engine salt as you want. Very
liberal use the detox support and supplement with the adine
to get that energy up. Hydrate with mineral rich filtered
water if you can, and exercise, sleep, sauna, stress management.
All of those things are going to take away the

(12:00):
cravings for the ramen, for the alcohol, for the smoking,
and get the energy back, because that is the point.
I mean, why do we reach for ramen, Why do
we reach for the cakes and the pizza and the
ben and Jerry's Because we're searching for energy. We're searching
for feel good, but we can't feel good for bodies

(12:21):
and our cells don't have energy right. So using the supplements,
getting on a whole food diet, you're going to feel
like a new person. Thanks for tuning in today to
Accelerated Health with Sara Banda. I hope you got some
tools and maybe a little inspiration to get off the
ramen to take the next steps for your health journey.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
