The Tolson Institute, the consulting company Nini co-founded in 2010, has now consulted more than 25,000 business people globally, delivered over 6500 case studies into emotional intelligence, and provides services to Fortune 500 companies and privately-owned million and billion-dollar businesses.

In 2010 Nini Tolson was involved in an aircraft accident. For 2.5 years, Nini went through 3 major reconstructive surgeries, leaving her with a permanent disability, financial instability, and emotional trauma that led to her wanting to end her life.

In 2012 at 4 months pregnant, with close to 3 miscarriages, she lost her job and was forced to leave the country she was living in. Now separated from her husband, she returned to Taiwan, promising herself she would recover emotionally and bounce back.
Within 12 months of returning to Taiwan, things did not go as planned, living with her grandparents, with many failed attempts to succeed in an online business, Nini and her husband Daniel returned to Australia to receive social security payments as their only source of income.

Once in Australia, their luck changed temporarily, their strategies worked, their clients were reporting millions of dollars in cost savings and new sales. The business and money started to flow.

Early in 2014, there was a family crisis, with the death of her grandfather, then followed by an economic crisis, the marketplace they operated in collapsed. By September Nini was returning to live in Taiwan once again living in a spare room at her grandmother's. To make ends meet and support the family, she moonlighted and taught English to children during the day and adults at night whilst raising her 1-year-old daughter.

With a relentless and never give up attitude, Nini leveraged her tools in emotional intelligence, and opened new marketplaces in Taiwan, Australia and the United Kingdom, through her discipline and determination to succeed and refusing to let anything stop her, Nini built a multiple 7 figure business, that survived the exit of an international franchise in the mindset of the Covid Crisis.

Towards the end of 2021, Nini’s business has continued to grow with new markets opening in Malaysia with constant back to back personal best months with more than 250% growth in the toughest market this generation has ever faced.

Over the past 20 years, she has lived in Taiwan, Macau, the USA, United Arab Emirates and Australia.
She is happily married and has a beautiful girl and boy.
