Regina Lukai a 16-year-old Jewish girl from Erbil, Kurdistan in northern Iraq, was arrested by the Iraqi regime who found a letter in Hebrew in a search of her home. She was imprisoned in one of the most infamous Iraqi prisons, Nukrat al-Salman, a fortress in the desert with criminals and political prisoners. 50 prisoners of the 162 political prisoners were Jews.
