This week Dave sat down with one of our honorary Croga members who lives in Toronto, Canada and is a jack of all trades fitness coac

Her name is Joy Sobel and our paths crossed when she was visiting her brother, Kal, who is a member at Croga.

From about 30 seconds into our first interaction I knew that Joy and I were going to get along because she’s an absolute fireball of energy, positivity, inspiration, and enthusiasm.

She’s one of those people that you could tell the workout of the day is 1,000 burpees for time and she’d be so anxious to get started she’d want to skip the warm up.

With all that said, as we got to know each other by chatting here and there when she was in town and messaging on social media, it became obvious to me that she would be a great person to talk with on the podcast because she has an interesting history in fitness and fitness coaching and over the past 6 months or so has started dabbling in more and more CrossFit as her training methodology of choice.

As you’ll hear in the podcast, Joy comes from a fitness family (her mom has been a fitness instructor for something like 40 years), which is very unique, but the thing I loved about our chat was that Joy is very open minded and curious.

This episode is a long one, Joy and I are both talkers, and it will most likely be followed up by 2 or 3 more episodes so we can dig in a little deeper.
