He holds a bachelor's degree in media communication and a master's degree in communication and training from Governors State University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in communication from Regent University. Allen's teaching and research interests encompass a broad spectrum, including interpersonal communication, gender communication, leadership, Disney, and social media.
