Benjamin Herman is muzikant. Hij is altsaxofonist en sinds 1993 bandleider van de jazzband New Cool Collective waarmee hij albums uitbracht als 'Big' en 'XXV'. Ook maakte hij soloalbums zoals 'Live' en 'Trouble'. Hij is eigenaar van het platenlabel Roach Records en presentator van het radioprogramma 'Benjamin’s Lijst' en de podcast 'Get In!'. Hij won onder andere de VPRO/Boy Edgar Prijs en tweemaal een Edison. In zijn nieuwe album 'Bughouse: The ERUS/ARC Sessions' combineert Herman jazz en punk.
