#299: Genie (2023)

For the first time ever on the podcast, we are reviewing a movie that was released in the same decade we are currently in. This is also the first time we've reviewed a remake of a movie directly after talking about the original! This week, we're heading over to Paramount+ for 2023's Genie, a remake of 'Bernard and the Genie', written by the original creator Richard Curtis. In this one, Melissa McCarthy plays a genie who's helping Paapa Essiedu get his family back, while Alan Cumming returns to play the mean boss.
