The frequencies perceived by tinnitus patients follow a normal distribution. The most commonly heard frequency is 8khz with 4, 6, and 12khz also being commonly heard frequencies. This sound is made to provide a natural sounding background of a stream, crickets, and frogs, while masking those common tinnitus frequencies.
