Special guest entrepreneur and filmmaker Sashka Avanyan joins our hosts for a chat about ways in which assumptions are tied to the grieving process. Too often we’re told by people outside our experience what the experience is like for us: what it means, what it feels like, what it should feel like. Our own assumptions ("I will never be happy", "I am alone/abandoned", etc.) can cause misunderstandings within ourselves and can set ourselves up for negativity. We also often assume the “normal” steps in the grieving process and feel crazy or even more depressed when our situation seems different. In this episode we outline all these types of assumptions and brainstorm ways in which we can overcome them. Thanks for listening and give this episode a share if you enjoyed!
